>>98353845Yes but this is the realm of fiction! We can have paradoxes like true nothingness eternal.
Are there any other CYOAs like this?

>>98353872Loving what you've named the files (please play mine its short).
Once you start making cyos you realize that they are not puzzles or challenges, nor are they writing prompts. What they are is a correspondence between the author and the player, a call and response. The respiring of inner worlds, encouragement to do well, and little dares to break the rules. That's why I always post a build to any OC that I see. That communication is what gives the medium its thrill, from both sides of the screen.

>>98355186Do ai dream of halucinated sheep?I know this is bait, but it saddens me how much people want to outsource the soul.
>>98355260I outsourced the answer to your comment! "I hear you on meaning. “Outsourcing the creative process” can feel like trading something living and accountable for something that just looks good—like reducing art to a button. But there’s a difference between using AI and handing over authorship. If AI is treated as the source of meaning (“the machine made it, so it’s valid”), then yeah—that can hollow things out fast, because the maker isn’t wrestling with intention, risk, taste, and consequence. If AI is treated as a tool inside a human process (“here are options, prompts, rewrites—I still decide what I believe, what I keep, and why”), then the meaning doesn’t disappear. It shifts to where responsibility actually lives: in your choices, your editing, your context, and your willingness to commit. The “halucinated sheep” joke lands because it points to a real problem: AI can produce convincing novelty without lived grounding. If someone wants meaning, they still have to bring the human parts—observing, failing, learning, and choosing. So I’d say: AI can be a way to dodge the hard creative work, and that would be tragic. But the presence of the tool doesn’t force that outcome; your use does. The question isn’t “can AI create,” it’s “who’s accountable for the meaning?”"

>>98355684Congratulations on discovering a hidden unlock: True Emptiness.Implicitly for any pattern there is an inverse. You have become that logical negative. Some kind of abstraction. But there is no real You. Something illusory. And though you can hide your cold gaze, and others can shake your hand and feel flesh gripping theirs, you simply are not there. What does this mean? When unobserved you are in a Quantum state of existing and not existing, can take any amount of actions that are not observed but could have happenedm and can choose to emerge anywhere that is observed. You can also allow your form to naturally take the inverse of the people who are viewing you, individualized for each person observing you, which induces a psychological effect that is so off-putting that those who can claim to remember you at all will simply say they met the devil. There is another unlock for picking all the void Powers but that's less obvious.

>>98355822>>98355766...but could have happened and can choose to emerge anywhere that is observed that you could have reached since you were last observed.* You become a rapidly growing area of potential action that only collapses into actual action when others witness the results of your actions. Your normal human mind can't understand it, but you'll be existing partially in the ansible now.Omniscience entities also operate in the quantum, and thus do not count for observation principles.
>>98355822>>98355834And to clarify when I say your normal human mind can't understand it I mean wouldn't be able to process the amount of rapidly conflicting information. I'm sure you understand what I mean just fine in the abstract though.

>>98356697Ahh, the Idiocracy special. Actually, I could use someone like you.I have an, erhm, solar system world the size of TYC 9486-927-1's sole planet's orbit. Has a star at the center, massive artificial rings with hyper advanced tech, could forge plane cracking superweapons and plane hopping space fleets. See the issue, the civilization that lived there got too complacent and now they are all too dumb to operate the tech [It has been about 300,000 years since they isolated themselves out of boredom of and disdain for the greater 'Verse]. It was supposed to be idiot proof, but they found a greater class of idiot. If I send you there, I'd like you to get the thing up and running, along with uplifting whatever tribal remnants of the civilization remains. You will be surrounded with ~60 IQ retards who will be amazed that you can count to five, but if you can access the biofactories, you'd be able to churn out genetically loyal catgirl maids. Or whatever fetishy mutant you want. Or just like nordic women if you're boring. My only gifts to you for this world are: A) You'll keep your human level intellect despite being reborn here.B) Genetic clearances to access the master level controls of the machinery. The genelocks were supposed to ensure that their people would never lose control of the facility. The last semi-intelligent person in that lineage turned everything outside of basic habitation maintenance off so no one later on would accidentally kill everyone. He was smart enough to know he was too dumb to fix things. No one else was bright enough to turn it back on.If you get everything up and running, there are few things you couldn't get your plane-forge-warmachine to accomplish.Interested in reclaiming fallen glory as the the Genetic God-Emperor of an ancient civilization?Oh, and they're space elves. There is nothing that quite approaches the carnal mien of a sinister, wide-eyed woman in baggy clothing, but I distance this thought from my head. I must not be distracted. The body I shape is of little consequence. I design one wiry and lean, with excellent cardio and lightning reflexes. Most importantly, it is to have large yet nimble and dextrous hands, and a suite of fantastically sharp senses. No amount of bulk or strength is meaningful here, so my own body goes by the wayside. On with the power choices.>cont
>>98357067>Strength of VoidRaw, untrammeled might, such as to break the firmament beneath my fingers. This could, in theory, kill all eight billion people immediately. It must not, as I need twelve. It is however important as an escape mechanism. If I find myself exposed to the sun or restrained, either by intent or accident, this strength will let me escape in quickness. First by breaking whatever's nearby, second by scooping out a nice, dark hole. This is the reason for the hands' largeness, so as to better dig. I will spend many nights practicing once I've met my kill quotas so that I'm not caught with my pants down when this skill is needed. Knowing me, it sooner or later will be needed.>This invisibility is strong, too strong. That is ideal. The conceptual stealth should, when honed I hope, extend to the consciousness of others. I'll be able to slip into perceptual emptiness and have zero obstacles. Just like it's impossible for a deer to escape a tiger it doesn't know is there, it'll be impossible for society to react if they aren't aware I exist. The best they can do is piece together the string of fatalities and try to reason what could have caused them, but there's a vacuum where there should be evidence.>Time VoidAn essential part of my tool-kit. If the void goddess spoke to me and is inclined against the gods which put her to task, I cannot discount the possibility that there are gods which are inclined against the task, some of which could have their own empowered mortals. If even one realized that I must exist and took steps to trick me by illusion into sun exposure or killing false humans, I would be undone. To amend this, I'll usurp the passage of hours every time I go about my work. I also hate time travel, so this is a win-win.>cont.
>>98357069I assume that the day is subjective, with a twelve hour cycle. This is the least likely configuration but it costs me nothing to assume it's true if it is false, whereas assuming it's false if it is true will cost me everything. Now, onto my strategy...First things first, I'm systematically hunting down and executing everyone involved in space research. Astronauts, physicists, engineers- everyone even tangentially related, including any family or friends who could be inspired to take up the torch. Once the satellites are made to return due to lack of maintenance, I'm killing everyone that was involved with them. This is because I cannot allow humans into space, because if I did, they would quickly scatter out of my reach and I would be undone. If I do, however, it won't be difficult to keep humanity confined to earth. Next, I'll kill everyone involved in virology, nuclear, and AI research, because I cannot run any risk of an extinction event. Likewise with polluting industries, with the exception of logistics and agriculture. By this point I'm sure there's a global panic, but that doesn't matter. Thanks to they aren't aware of what to panic at. From here I go about murder at a relatively slow pace. Every day, I will have dozens of alarms set on multiple devices, including some analog methods, reminding me to kill someone, and always be hidden in a public place with plenty of possible targets. This will remove the risk of me forgetting. In addition, I'll keep multiple redundant personal counters and always assume that I'm at least half a billion below my estimated numbers.
>>98357072I'll continue eradicating any traces of 'forbidden' science, including funding towards them, and encourage natalism by negative reinforcement. That is, murdering every public figure who supports lowering population growth the second I become aware of them. Given current population growth, the population should reach around ten billion in a couple of decades. That means nothing. The only thing that matters is keeping humanity bound to the planet without crippling society so much that it can't continue expanding.Because I don't have any speed or transport powers for cross-continental travel, I'll get around that by sneaking onto airplanes at night. Likewise, I'll be stealing fast vehicles for overland travel. Every twelve hours, I'll kill at least three people so that I can be sure that I haven't not killed anyone. I plan to give myself an obsessive compulsion to kill someone every time I think about daytime, getting lunch, or going to sleep. I'll basically punctuate time by murder in lieu of clocks, the preferred method being to just painlessly mush their skull from the front, observing their face while time is frozen. This approach minimizes pain and maximizes personal involvement, so I can be sure that I've killed someone new and am not remembering a previous murder. In this respect I won't discriminate. Young, old, man, woman. If it was conceived by lust, its skull is returning to dust. Once a month, at a random interval, I'll go on a killing spree and destroy a small tenement or cul-de-sac or what have you, a residential cluster of people. This will keep progress up while stopping me from having second thoughts. Instead, I will have third and fourth and fifth thoughts, and hate myself, and continue the work because a body in motion stays in motion. >cont
>>98357074Humanity is guaranteed to sooner or later figure out some means of escaping the gravity well regardless of what I do. There are simply too many brilliant and/or contrarian people to take the total eradication of spaceflight sitting down, and they will, naturally, soon go to ground and avoid any publicizing of their work. So, I'll target mines and refineries. If I can break complex industry without slowing down the production and distribution of food and medicine, humanity should stagnate. In a couple of generations, we won't have the tech to escape. Once gas is gone and we're reliant on renewables, I will be set, because without nuclear power or efficient fuel, it'll be impossible to escape into orbit. From here, success is a matter of time. When a few generations have gone by and my notes tell me that I've killed twelve billion people, I will ignore them and continue until I've cracked fourteen billion. Then I'll shatter the tectonic plates using my strength and cause a global ecological collapse. This will cause sufficient second degree kills to count for my personal involvement, even though it will be after I've in theory succeeded, I want to be certain.Billions must die, three at a time. I reason this plan has around 20% odds of success, but I'm lucky and will do or risk anything for infinite cosmic power. It is not a lack of personal control or pleasure that constrains me, it is the axioms underpinning our reality at its most fundamental that I cannot abide. I want to bring about a world of more viscerality, of more yearning, of more beauty in every sense, on a micro and macro level than what we already have, and with powers like these, I believe I can make it happen.>pic related, the planet when I'm done with it

You have also unlocked: Worldbreaker. These were the three powers that had Void in their name (The stealth one is secretly called True Void). They are also the most dangerous powers that I don't fully control nor understand. Strength of Void corrupted the physical dimension, Void Time corrupted the temporal dimension, and True Void conceptually ambiguated that corruption throughout the rest of the system. You may now selectively decide when/if you interact with the various fundamental forces of the universe. I really, really do not understand this power, as its implications go much further beyond turning gravity on or off for yourself. There are concepts such as knowledge, emotions, the weak electromagnetic force, all which fall under the purview of this power. Anything that can be conceptualized can be toggled. The only thing you can't turn off are the rules of the curse, for to turn those off would turn off your powers in turn. So you have at least a 25% chance of victory now, probably.I also drew you because I thought it was fun. Great job again!
