Post devils, demons, yugoloths, and all the rest.Hard mode: who's best?
>>98354212Claiming this thread in the name of Asmodeus!
>>98354212The whole backwards hands thing with rakshashas is fucking dumb.
>>98354212>bestThat depends on which game is in question.
>>98355576D&D 3.5, silly billy
>>98354348Never really understood what it was supposed to symbolize or why backwards hands were meant to be spooky. Some kind of mangled undead ghoul that has been clearly twisted and broken, but still moves would be obviously creepy. Like someone had their head twisted all the way around and now their undead form is chasing you backwards or whatever. But tiger people with backwards hands? dumb.
>>98354348That's an arcanaloth and its hands are not backwards
>>98355728>Never really understood what it was supposed to symbolizeit's an old trope. In old folk tales, evil creatures or straight up demons disguised as human would have some sort of phyisical deformity that gave them away if you looked closely, like pointy ears, double eye arises, cloven hooves in place of feet, etc. I think it comes down to that, but I can't say why they gave rakshasas in particular their inverted hands, my best guess is some old art piece made them look like their hands were swapped or something like that>>98354212I personally like purrodaemons a lot. I think one of those would make a really neat prince of Khorne
>>98354212If I may say, turning the Yugoloths into a failed experiment by the Devils is lameYou're essentially saying you don't know what to do with these guys and made up a backstory in 5 minutes just so you can say "Here they are!" before tossing them aside and going back to jerking off Asmodeus some moreShould have gone all in on the Anthro when the Arcanaloths took off instead of separating them and reinventing the Arcanaloths into Raavasta's
>>98355728>>98355742Feliforms have reversed paws which is how they're able to retract their claws.
>>98354212Would>pic relatedalso would
>>98356038That's not even remotely true. It's just some weird shit hindus thought would be creepy.
>>98355905Seconding. Arcanaloths should be weird schemers in the background, not a failed experiment. I like the 3.5 lore
>>98356038one, thats wrong.two, foxes arent feline
>>98354212>Draw a furry>Call it a demonVivziepop buffoonerysmash
>>98356944they from the 70s, bozo
>>98356944>>98356961Well...
>>98355757>but I can't say why they gave rakshasas in particular their inverted hands,It was from an Episode of Kolchak: the Night Stalker. I am deadass.
>>98357014>demons disguised as human would have some sort of phyisical deformity that gave them away if you looked closelyThis was a thing with werewolves too. One of the old aspects was supposedly the lack of a tail gave them away when trying to compare them to real wolves.
>>98356944i love jackal furries
>>98357201If you played them you'd know fiends are a cornerstone of many (and that the term yugoloth is a giveaway it's D&D)
>>98356944>smashAnon, she's got a dick! All yugoloths are hermaphrodites of the "both at once" kind.
>>98357014an episode in particular? It would fit the timeline if you're right, but I hadn't heard about that series until now. Sounds like Buffy or Supernatural before that kind of urban fantasy became popular in the 90s
>>98357223I know. If you played any games you'd tell me how they came up in your last session.
