It essentially just doubles your points for free if you remove the limit as you can simply convert all the item points into 20 magic points and you can technically convert 5 magic points back into 10 item points if you really want to. It pretty much just doubles the gain from drawbacks too. Just keep the limit of 3 phases it would just mean a profit of 3 points, which is better than both esoteric toy and the original stuff toy which essentially just gave 2 free item points as companions cost 2 points. Also comparable to the other origins in strength which would only be more effective if you specifically took items or traits with a value of more than 3.

My thought process is like: Max two per territory, so that's not too hard to remember what should be relevant in each territory, and that major threats might only come up if a build that chose them is present. Though Direquinn commands far less than his father did the lessons were far from wasted. Extensive wit earned himself enough a penny to have a decent living while taking escort contracts at a steady pace. However, unlike other commanders, Direquinn does occasionally take himself to the field which has had grave consequences. He wears a collage of scrap metal over his visage to hide the contaminated scars, but does not abate in his true desire. Beneath his jovial and lackadaisical demeanor lies his father's most heartfelt lesson: to forever fight humans who turned on their own kind. Eventually he hopes to build enough wealth and power to launch a true offensive against these powers.

As he grew up, and as the hippie movement died down, his parents adopted a “prepper” mindset, emphasizing he learn a particular collection of skills and knowledge, such as fitness, wilderness survival, and game hunting and dressing. A highly adept mind, he took to handling guns and vehicles naturally, alongside an innate interest in history and chemistry, the latter two enough to carry him to a very nice University - Oxford, in fact, where he met one “Maxine Wellington”, supposedly pursuing a double Major of Psychology and Philosophy while sharing a Minor in History. A… very pale girl he only ever saw at night for some reason. Regardless, she proved his match in wits and more than a match in manners. The two hit it off well… yet never progressed to dating. For a full year. One night early in his Senior year, things suddenly went fuzzy… and that was the last thing he remembered about being mortal. Well, that and visions of myriad things great and small burning…Upon his awakening, “Maxine” - or “Lady Virginia Terpsichore Maxwell”, as he learned she was really called - administered him a crash course in the world he now inhabited. Vampires, the Camarilla, Clan Tremere, its ranks and circles, its (unique!) oath… when he asked why she “Embraced” him, her response was a stone-faced explanation of how he was a prime candidate for the Clan, exemplary aptitudes, and so on. When he asked about this newfound urge to light fires, she seemed confused and a little perturbed, explaining that this was the exact opposite reaction to what most vampires have. Then she shared a very important secret…The local chapter concluded that certain mutations of his are linked in origin. Pyromania, Cold, and Deep Torpor all point to aberrant energy processing; Efficient Digestion and Blood Potence both concern handling of Vitae; and Empathy and Righteousness were likely partly inherited from his Sire.(2/5)

From a very young age, Virginia displayed remarkable oratory skill, coupled with an inquisitive nature and strong literary inclination. Her calculus tutor a ghoul of said Magister, her embrace, just after her 19th birthday, went without a hitch… afterwards was a different story.Perhaps it was her penchant for Philosophy, but the Magister underestimated her determination to cling to her humanity. While not foolish enough to flagrantly violate her station or the Masquerade, she never took to considering Kine a mere resource, bristling at terms like “blood bags”. Many parts of Tremere's past never sat right with her either. Nevertheless, she did take to the ins and outs of Kindred society's rules just as anticipated, and the access to a hoard of esoteric knowledge suited her sensibilities quite well. About a century prior to the present, she received communication from, followed shortly by initiation to, a certain special sect of the Tremere.Her influence has been greater within the Camarilla as a whole than within the Clan itself, in no small part due to the Clan's uniquely regimented nature. Still, more than a few lower Generation Kindred have been convinced over the decades to hold the well being of Kine in at least slightly higher regard, even if just from appeals to practicality. Her new mission has proved more difficult; a group of Temere Antitribu cornered her with accusations 25 years ago, and she would not have survived without her favor with the local Prince and her assailants’ own lack of credibility. This was her closest brush with Final Death to date, and it's stuck with her… While she hadn't Sired yet, she began to feel a pressing need to do so. Word of the Pontifex resulted in the two of them assigned to Greece, moving into the local Chantry. His command of Lure of Flames has proven nothing short of uncanny, reaching mastery with it at completely unprecedented speed and almost entirely self-taught. An aberrant Affinity for Protean mixed with Auspex aptitude to create an absurd array of senses, and his affinity for guns and vehicles seems to have facilitated a knack for the Path of Conjuring. Extensive knowledge of the structure of matter, and the ability to create it in sophisticated configurations from Vitae (and very efficiently to boot), has resulted in a very versatile toolkit both in and out of combat. Of course, if violence is called for he prefers to simply engulf his target in roaring flames. He's even taken to lighting himself on fire as a form of psychological warfare, combining Fortitude, vampiric healing, and no special vulnerability to the flames to simply endure the damage while he dispatches his target.It's an open secret that James and Virginia have strong feelings for one another, and apparently the only two Kindred who aren't in on it are James and Virginia themselves. She had always planned to give him access to her Private Herd, still concerned as she is with the ethics of drinking another's blood, but the Waste Management business is as much a quarantine zone to safely scratch his pyrophilic itch as it is a revenue source. Dude, I'm not gonna lie, but I would love to go back to vampires. Vamp had the most builds out of the recent MPs that were actually interacting and engaging with each other. Don't know if they're still here though. Probably not.
