how do ypu people not get bored of the same cyoa after almost a decade now
>>98381022Almost literally every major IP / setting has been converted into our system. Also, it's been more like 15 years. The thread is dead due to pdf-posting having been axed. We're split between 5 websites.
>>98381022That is the pour of our Autism. We were around here before you were and we will still be here long after you are dust. That is the power of our unbound autism,
>>98381022If you cannot imagine having fun being in your favorite setting then you are boring.Even children dream of hanging out with their heroes
>>98381152NTA, but last thread died after 105 posts. I.e. it didn't even reach bump limit. That means it sat there for DAYS and no one even bothered to make a shitpost, let alone engage in meaningful discussion. Things are looking pretty bleak for this branch of the hobby.
>>98381927thank fuck
>>98381052>WeSB and Reddit were never one of "us" and the Discord is an "aberrant" community, I'm the only "poster" that we need.
>>98382893I didn't count Discord, so 6. I was using the royal "We're".
did the last thre->>98381927holy fucking kek
>>98381927Yeah this thread's pretty dead. Here's some elementary-school "write about your day" level questions to hopefully eke out a bit more activity.>Who's your current Jumper?>What's your current Jump?>Do you use any external tools or systems for your Jumpchain? E.g oracles, RPG systems, NPC generators.>How much detail do you write out your Jumps with? A full novel each Jump? A few paragraphs or bullet point summaries? Barely at all, just doing builds and imagining the Jump?As for my answers:Another self-insert, currently making a build for Batman Apotheosis but haven't even chosen an Origin or anything yet (the second Jump of an attempt at a more martial arts focused Chain; first jump was Absolver). I occasionally use outside resources, such as free oracles and npc generators and such, and have used Age of Fantasy (the Regiments version) to quickly play out battles in previous Chains, but haven't rolled a single die yet in this Chain. I have a bad (?) habit of writing out effectively the whole Jump, scene by scene, to the point that one of my previous Chains, which died before the second Jump was even chosen, was fifteen thousand words long.
>>98381927Yeah there is genuinely no point anymore to this thread on /tg/. There are like idk 3 people trying to keep it alive still. We had a good run, but the hobby is over. The only remnant are splinter communities like SB, reddit, discord, and 4+4 chan, which are all tripfag clique cancer shit.
>>98383110There is only one community. This one.
>>98383715I was referring to the hobby, not the community.
>>98383300>Who's your current Jumper?Self-insert, same as almost all of the rest.>What's your current Jump?Newer Generic Isekai, just goofin' off for a chainbutt.>Do you use any external tools or systems for your Jumpchain? E.g oracles, RPG systems, NPC generators.Held onto a few of those solo DM splats that were posted, but I haven't actually used them for chain writing/RP yet. I sometimes gen slop for OCs I pick up since it's nice to have a solid frame of reference for those characters. Exact effort varies by jump, but I do tend to go into prompting with a half-decent idea of what I'm looking for.>How much detail do you write out your Jumps with? A full novel each Jump? A few paragraphs or bullet point summaries? Barely at all, just doing builds and imagining the Jump?Currently just bullet points if at all, but I sometimes go back and grab the posts from prompts answered outside of buildposting.
Ugh... today has been hell... I need a chain. What's going on in everyone's chains today?
>>98385898Starting the latest iteration of my chain in FF7 because I feel like getting my flesh horror on.
>>98385898Made a build for Gene’s Generic Isekai. My time in the jump promises to live up to the generic part of the name.
>>98385976I did too. I used it as an excuse to reuse my favorite companion that I ever made. Maybe even worlds you don't really care about can be made worth something if the company you are with is good enough.
>>98386013>I used it as an excuse to reuse my favorite companion that I ever made.Sometimes, you make a companion and the idea just clicks with you.
