For someone requiring every female they see to be bimbo bombshells you sure do think you have superior taste.

You complain all the time about those features being hidden or non existent on their minis, and the minute they listen to you you're upset they didn't go full kingdom death.

He's right though. You coomers won't shut the fuck up about it, then when they finally oblige it isn't up to your standards. Like the other guy said, don't like it? Sculpt your own models. Bolt on some epoxy augmentation and move on already (you won't). Just don't denigrate other people for liking things that CB are producing in the CB productions thread.

>In Irish mythology, Nuada or Nuadu (modern spelling: Nuadha), known by the epithet Airgetlám (Airgeadlámh, meaning "silver hand/arm"), was the first king of the Tuatha Dé Danann. He is also called Nechtan and Nuadu Necht, and is sometimes believed to be Elcmar, husband of Boann.[1] He is mostly known from the tale in which he loses his arm or hand in battle, and thus his kingship, but regains it after being magically healed by Dian Cécht. Nuada is thought to have been a god and is related to the British and Gaulish god Nodens, who is associated with hunting and fishing.[1] His Welsh equivalent is Nudd or Lludd Llaw Eraint.

so how easy is this game to get into if you're fairly new to table top games,so far i've only played battletech and i've been playing for less than a year
>>
>>98508147
Not easy overall but it really depends on your own local scene composition. If it have a lot of people orientated on casual games, it will be easier to get into, otherwise it will be frustrating. Infinity system benefits players who knows and understands multitude of different mechanics and keep track of all of them at once. Veteran player can easily win in deployment phase against newcomer or completely block them from advancing within single turn. You have to be aware of both your own units and your enemy, good luck if they use unique mechanics like Tohaa.
>>
>>98508147
The basics are fairly straightforward, the depth of possibility is massive. Having played both, it's not harder than bt imo.

Easiest it has been since the game was initially introduced, so still a bit difficult.
The best choice is to get an action pack/2 players starter set (higher investment) or an essentials kit (lower investment), and go from there.

I have a dumb question that may have already been covered and if so, I apologize but is it known when Mazebreaker is being replaced? I want to know roughly how much longer I have to vacillate over the decision to get it or not.

Battle packs happen like every 2 years, anon. Mazebrekaer is prety recent, so you have like 2 years to make up your mind.
On the other side, Operation Sandtrap is getting like getting repack in 2 action packs now: JSA and Kestrel.

The thing is that... with the current Meta, the ALEPH Operations half of Mazebreaker box is absolutely dominant right now.
>>
>>98525445
Oh, for some reason I thought Mazebreaker was quite old. Thank you very much

According to the lore, they are simply a new model version:
https://www.human-sphere.com/Dikpala#Background
>To prevent its primary operational unit - the backbone of its combat force - from becoming obsolete in the near future, the SSS commissioned the development of a new Tacbot model. The project aimed to build on the best aspects of the Dakini, improving them and preparing them for the new contexts of conflict in the Human Sphere, to create an evolution of these revered soldier remotes rather than simply replacing them. Thus, the Dikpāla (दिक्पाल) Tacbot model was born, named after the deities who guard the cardinal directions, as its job will be to be present everywhere it's needed.
>This new Tacbot model's most notable upgrade is its multi-layered anti-hacking architecture, dubbed Kālacakra (དུས་ཀྱི་འཁོར་ལོ). Given the ever-increasing sophistication of quantronic threats, the SSS demanded a radical overhaul of this remote unit's cyberdefense systems. That's why the Dikpāla Tacbot has a two-layer quantum-encrypted neural firewall that runs alongside a decentralized threat detection network. This setup enables the unit to detect and block malicious code in a matter of picoseconds, neutralizing cyber threats before they even break through the outermost layer of encryption. The Kālacakra architecture is so innovative that it transcends the concept of refinement, representing a major evolution in resistance on the quantronic battlefield.

The best intro are the "Start Here" Boxes. They have two now, one of them combos with the Mazebreaker set.
>>
Do the big 2-player boxes still have the tutorial mini-campaigns like they used to?
>>

I'm afraid it was only Code One thing. Sandtrap had some scenario and unit descriptions but without painting guide or unit statistics, not to mention rules. At least mine, some anons had different so who knows.

Newfag here, never played Infinity
So what would you advise me to get if I wanted a Pan Oceania force? Everything they have looks pretty cool, especially the hospitallers.
Would this be a good first buy?
https://www.kutami.de/en/corvus-belli/panoceania/military-order-hospitaller-action-pack

PanO is always solid due to their range of options, but more importantly, being the best shooters (the main form of threatening)
>>
>>98532229
I'd consider Military orders action pack first. Hospitaller Action pack is made to running Hospitaller pain train, which may not be the best way to learn the ropes.
>>
Dumb question, why are Infinity minis so expensive compared to Kill Team? Or 40K in general.
>>
>>98533642
Couple reasons
> made of metal(usually), more expensive than plastic
> smaller company, so less scale to lower production costs
> smaller scale game, so you need fewer models than a normal 40k game. You can make a viable 300pt tournament ready force with invincible army for only $100
>>
>>98533642
Metal, more detailed, you need fewer.

The real perk is that it isn't heroic scale nonsense like the majority of other games. It's seriously a trip looking at them as you put the models together. Their faces, fine details, modest weapons; it all makes them feel a lot more realistic.

Just play what speaks to you.
>>
does this game have a kind of paired down rule set kind of like alpha strike?,i saw that warsenal has one of the essential sets on sale for pretty cheap and was thinking about picking it up to maybe learn the game with a friend in my group who is also interested,im fairly new to table top gaming and have only been playing alpha strike for a few months
>>
>>98536712
The Essentials is for that, yes. They renewed the box to match the new Two player starter box, but either are fine. The PanO and Nomad models from their respective versions are from Operation Icestorm that was released 2014 and are more fiddly to put together than more modern figures.

>>98536712
There used to be something called Code One that had simplified rules (mostly by throwing out various special skills or traits) and reduced troops list (with different pricing, which was often throwing previous balance out of window) and 10 units limit. Good idea but failed to take root, especially in places with already established local scenes (in my case, several local players outright called Code One "worse version of Infinity" and we're generally unwilling to play it - then again, they were and still are very focused on tournament style play, unwilling to play casually, which means I could only play one 300p game in my life and surrendered after first turn).
>>
>>98537148
*were

For fuck sake, I hate autocorrect.
>>
>>98537148
What CodeOne really needed was pretty simple. Instead of chopping off some half of a unit roster based on release schedule, they should have rewritten generic profiles that would have covered most of the faction staples with loadouts with one or two special rules or equipment. Large problem with Infinity is that if you try to play it casually, every game feels like a jump into the deep end because you won't recognize enemy units and haven't memorized their gear and tricks. You'll lose because you didn't remember Tunguska even had a camo unit with an E/Marat and that just fried your best guy.
>>
>>98537287
Oh, yeah, that too. Unless you memorize every faction, you are basically playing partially blind at the start.

The physical height of the model never really matters in Infinity, since it's a silhouette-based system. A certain S will always correspond to a certain base radius and height regardless of the actual size of the miniature itself.
>>
>>98581111
True, but it's still a good practice to try to stick to the intended height for practical reasons. The model fits where it should and you and your opponent are less likely to forget how tall it's actually supposed to be.
