The fantasy race thing is just too much work. How many races do you need, really? In the most stylish systems/settings they have one or two tasteful hooks and thats it. Beyond that they are humanoid.

You'd need a team of worldbuilders for that to appeal to me, IMO. Give them 1-2 years to do it. And nothing utterly outlandish unless it is feasible. Otherwise, just stick to humans.

Fuck off loser

None. You don't need specific rules for any race, since players can already make anything they can imagine.

>The fantasy race thing is just too much work
Okay, then don't do it.

>How many races do you need, really?
It depends on the game I want to play. I set out to make each race engage with major game mechanics differently, without making any single one the "one correct choice".

>You'd need a team of worldbuilders for that to appeal to me
I don't need anything to appeal to you, because you'll never be playing a game with me.
I make my games for myself.
"Rewrite what you don't like" and "rule 0 or find a new group if you don't like it", remember?

>Otherwise, just stick to humans
I do that with some games.
And if that's what works for you, do that for your own games.

Human
Unga race
Smart race
Sneaky faggot race
Maybe hold off on making a charisma race. Those are troon magnets

I don't understand humans only faggots. If I wanted humans only, I wouldn't be bothering with fantasy or sci-fi fiction at all.

Some of my games are "humans" only, but they're really only "human" in name and outward appearance; they're not entirely like the humans of our world.
