Plastic glue is plastic glue but I can vouch that the Tamiya extra thin is easiest to apply with its brush applicator. I would avoid the bottles with the long thin pipette as they tend to clog even when capped promptly.

Tournament faggots who normalized 2000 points as the standard and pushed GW to balance the entire game around that and kill low-sized games really fucked things up for everyone. It used to be that you could play with one single squad when you first started out, that's what Kill Team was initially, instead of being a whole separate fucking system with completely different rules and specific, bespoke teams you had to run a certain way. You could just buy a tactical squad and learn to play the basics with Kill Team and then move up to 500 points games (which again used the real game rules instead of bespoke Combat Patrol shit that was specific force lists and different rules) and then 1000 point games and all of them would work, so you could slowly build your collection and still get to play and that experience of learning the rules would translate upwards.Now people will buy a grey tide of shit to play 2k tourneyfag games right off the bat and 500 points doesn't work without a bunch of caveats because they put shit like fucking Baneblades and Knights in the basic game and killed off the Force Org chart.

The older editions came with some jank, but for every low there was a really cool high to offset it. Lancing a lascannon shot across half the board to strike a vehicle and essentially take it out of action by killing the driver or taking out it's locomotion was rad, but over the decades too many people complained that such RNG isn't fun to them, and so now we have the game in the state that is today with no whacky shenanigans, bloated health and saves on units etc.
