Why is Vampire the Masquerade seemingly immune to the shitflinging seen in Werewolf and Mage? Why is there no constant back-and-forth over who is more right and wrong out of the different sects?While Traditionfags and Technofags tear into each other non-stop and Garoufags and Weaverfags argue incessantly, it seems like it's generally agreed that the Camarilla are the sane ones, the Sabbat are charmingly retarded, the Anarchs are annoyingly retarded, and the True Black Hand is retarded as a concept. Both of these groups are similar because they effect the state of the world and each individual group is about making the world reflect the state they want.Vampires is a game about you coming to the terms with a condition that forces you at some point to drain another person for their life's essence to exist. All factions are just a reflection of how they cope with that. Regardless if vampires think if the answer is to rule the world with an iron fist or to pretend to be human. The main issue thing they can't escape that they'll never be free of the thirst for blood. Werewolves and mages can pretend what they do is ultimately for a greater good or whatever to lead to the best version of the world they want to see. I've never seen anyone actually try to portray a vampire faction that wants to improve the world state for the "better" of everyone. Closest to that are paths and people who choose humanity. So I assume that's why vampires really don't get into the same fights that werewolves and mage players do. That or they literally just want to play their favorite clan and prove it's better than the rest more than who is right.

I am thinking of the Lasombra when I wrote it. For whatever reason it seems to attract people for the themes of being the shadow person and they use their shadow power to be the best. Basically I feel like people see it as the goth vampire clan for whatever reason and just picks it for the aesthetics and that is as deep as it goes.

>>98483561>>98483564That's why I feel it's hard to say for certain which clan is the most popular. Tremere, Tzimisce, and Lasombra attract mostly powergamers i'd argue but that's from point of view. Brujah is the simplest but I rarely see people play Brujah more about being the best and typically lean more towards i'm right mentality. Toreador is one the more annoying clans of how effective as vampires they actually are, but rarely do they need to prove they are the best or care to. I just put the Lasombra in that pool because the people who typically play it tend to do it in a way they care less about the actual lore behind the clan and more about being the best. That said that honestly applies to Tzimisce and Tremere as well. I don't even know if fuck the Tremere has just turned into another meme or not.
