I miss playing 3.5 every week

okay, this is getting silly
we're reaching HxH levels of exposition
I would complain about how modern Rich cannot write good fight dialog anymore, but Calder fight was actually really good
>>
>Strip is not named "Chekov's Bow"
For shame.

I wonder what Mimi is doing in this panel
>>
I've been watching Babylon 5.
Since last comic I've reached the part in S4 with the line "Giants in the playground, unaware of whom they're stepping on".
I've read the original GitP FAQ when I first started reading, but that was years/decades ago, and I'd never heard of B5 back then, so I went back to check. The FAQ is gone from the site now. Thanks Wayback Machine!
It's was a fun little "aha" moment hearing that line after reading OotS for so long, and confirming that that was indeed the inspiration for the website name.

>>98483834
Called it. Serini is fucking useless. She had no plan, and walked right into "strangle me" range to try and sell out her teammates.

I didn't change the dialogue in the fifth panel. It was thogged enough.

none of the dialogue in this dumpster has been good
>>
>>98485994
Nice one, Thog.
>>
>>98487246
This. Way too many people have trouble admitting that Rich's dialogue is stilted to fuck and would still be so even if he pared down the WORDS.
>>
>>98487946
We used to get really good one-liners during combat scenes. Remember "nice piercings, though?"
>>
AAAAAAA ADVANCE THE PLOT
>>
>>98483834
>some families are different!!
>yeah we know that and you're hecking valid
Why is Rich like this
>>
>>98488919
>yeah we know that and you're hecking valid
Wasn't Sabine's "blue-haired" a jab at that?
>Why is Rich like this
I don't think he is actually "like this".
He has nauseatingly "wholesome" characters/subplots, but he also occasionally includes /d/-tier jokes.
"Monster mistress, but she is like a mom and not a slaver" might have been pre-planned since ancient ages and modern D&D with it's gay sissy beholder art might be just an unfortunate coincidence.
>>
>>98483834
I see, so hiding Belkar and Minrah in the hidey hole might have been a mistake. Also Thog took 2 levels in fighter and has been dead for an arc, so I think if Haley had a flank and a new dagger she could have attack Thog. Or Sabine instead of Nale who has a bunch of juice.
>>
>>98489253
well obviously, if the magic gets turned off and Belkar can cooperate with Haley they can absolutely shred Sabine fast enough even super-Nale can't stop them
it's a contrived way to get rid of Belkar and I'm disappointed in Rich for it
>>
Hate to say it but that was actually smart.
>>
>>98490778
was it really? they just used the nullification ray
feels like a rather straightforward move
although not a single anon suggested it before
>>
>>98491603
No, the Sneak Attack.

No one suggested it because O-Chul already mentioned it as an option, but without Sunny's telekinesis (requiring paralysis to wear off) or potentially Sereni, they can't remove the contact lens.
>>
>>98491640
>No, the Sneak Attack.
what's smart about that? besides the mildly amusing "attack from outside the panel" joke
it was probably just opportunistic rather than Haley deliberately waiting for this specific opening

>>98491642
>they can't remove the contact lens
okay, forgot that
so, how did they get it off? did the paralysis end on its own?
if their plan was to simply wait because the plot moves so slow that the debuff will expire on its own, then I agree that was a magnificent 5D chess move
>>
>>98491759
Let's see... Paralysis from Blasphemy lasts 1d10 minutes, and while there's been a lot of yapping there's only been a handful of rounds, nowhere near a minute. Even if Sereni using herself as bait was explicitly to stall for time, I don't think it was that. Remove Paralysis is a paladin spell and certainly a reasonable one for O-Chul to have prepared given how many times he's been paralyzed in the past. Main issue there is the question of why he wouldn't have cast it immediately rather than try to use Sunny as a gatling gun.
>>
>>98491818
>while there's been a lot of yapping there's only been a handful of rounds
I was alluding to the release schedule
kind of mixing in-universe and out-of-universe reasoning
I suppose it was a bit of a stretch
although if the comic made a joke about the current speed of publication it would be instant gold

I don't think it was O'Chul
I think Sunny was mumbling about "starting to feel better" a couple pages back

what, in the second panel?
I wouldn't count that, since it still pretends not to break the fourth wall
I meant something like picrel, where they outright referenced the hiatus
>>
>>98483834
>see, even evil characters respect found family
I am so tired of this faggot shit

Who hurt you?
>>
>>98492930
I think we can reasonably assume the answer in this case is "Rich Burlew."

Speaking of pointless and long drawn out conflicts, how's Goblins doing

Everyone loves a found family, even Xykon would clap at Tarquin adopting Roy so that he and Elan would be brothers legally (Roy is lawful).
>>
>>98487246
Nothing on the internet has ever been good
>>
should have had haley stand outside in the gutters to do that sneak attack like that one time she got blasted into the next strip
>>
>>98493038
They have been in the dungeon for so long that you would struggle to remember why they had to enter in the first place.
Also the author keeps finding new ways to split the characters so new plots pile up and the story imitates a glacier, an ugly one.
>>
>>98495946
That's sad
>>
>>98493894
/b/ was good
