Is that AU Anakin leading droids (used as a Ventress proxy) or are you using Anakin as a Vader proxy?
Are Fifth Brother Riot Squad good in your experience? They seem good, but probably I guess not strong enough to deal with Ventress BXs?
Not a fan of the B1s colored BXs but I can't deny it looks cool.
Nice table too.
>>
>>98506873
My opponent forgor his ventress mini and had to borrow Ani as proxy.

5th bro riots are good, but they are primarily a tarpit, and they can be very fast with the double spur. The impervious change definitely hurts the squad, pierce 1 stocks went way down. I think they are fun, and hard to remove. A fun trick with riots is to bring Thrawn and have them double tap in melee with his 2 pip.

I generally think that if you are running Riots, you either un them naked, or KX + Kallus+Imperial march OR 5th brother. Otherwise, they are in this weird spot of being both expensive and not doing enough damage.

Feels a little weird seeing a space elf in Star Wars anything.
I know that aylmao species from Star Wars are mostly modified human designs but this unironically made me think of the LOTR BMW with optional heated seating meme.

Is the design by chance an EU reference? I like some things from canon and some from EU. Any Star Wars TTRPG would be a silly mishmash of both continuities.

The game had been running for 5 months before I joined 2 months ago, at the request of my friend, the GM. The party had killed a Sith Alchemist before I joined, and before he was killed, he tried to get the Twilek Scoundrel in the party to deliver some Sith alchemy supplies to the BBEG Sith Lord, which was how the party would infiltrate his stronghold. Those supplies went into the Scoundrels inventory when he died, and my Jedi Guardian is particularly power hungry, and the Scoundrel tricked me into drinking one of the vials, saying he got it from a Sith, and promising me power. The GM had me roll to resist it's effects, I rolled a 1, and the 32oz worth of fluid that I chugged caused my veins to turn black and made me fall unconscious. When I awoke, my ability to use the force was severely weakened. A ship analysis droid identified the liquid as Terentatek semen, and the GM told me the sperm cells survived my stomach acids and after my body absorbed them, attacked the midichlorians in my body, permanently reducing all of my attributes. I got up and left after that, and have been ignoring their messages for the past few days.

Play ist straight. Your Jedi starts going into depression even perhaps denial an ally could do something like this. Ultimately? Fall to the dark side argue that since it is easier than light side you should get stronger in the force again, cut off one of the scoundrels arms (or head tentacles)or kill sonething that is VERY dear to him saying "now you have a little glimpse of what i lost" and make him your eternal slave.
Or don't bitch about it and talk to your GM and other Players like a man and ask them to retcon it since there would be no plausible reason for the group to work together again after this cum incident.
>>
>>98520689
>That's even worse. There's no way I could suggest that.
Bro the DM had you take the Set Special.
Tell them your character is now completely convinced that The Force is Orgone energy and the only reason the Council really did the whole no attachments thing is because clearly it'd cause imbalances between male and female Jedi.

Look him square in the eye and say "You caused this, this game is now about the rise of Darth Cummies and you have no one to blame but yourself."

I've seriously been thinking about it and I believe Force Ghosts have an especially strong tie to their Padawan, rather than their family.
Qui-Gonn appears to Obi-Wan, Obi-Wan and Yoda appear to Luke while Anakinshows up for Ahsoka because a Force Ghost's ability must be used to provie guidance to your student in their time of needs, not to call your kid and ask how they are doing.
So Luke doesn't get calls from Anakin because he wasn't Anakin's student and isn't really facing any serious self-doubt between RotJ and the ST.

Because the comics established that vader knew about palpatine's plans and because the writers are retarded they didn't consider that this would mean either ruining his character or luke's because he either chose not to tell luke or told luke and luke didn't care in order for their shitty sequel trilogy to happen
but MUH FILONI amirite
>>
>>98522214
>but MUH FILONI amirite
actually yes, just because anakin can't/won't appear to luke, does not mean he should appear to ahsoka

but because ahsoka has never been given the development as a character outside of anakin, anakin needs to constantly be referenced if not appear outright because otherwise she just has nothing and is rightfully boring

so yes it is "muh filoni" because he's a retard who never once considered that ahsoka needs to exist as a character outside of anakin to be compelling

besides, why can't anakin just tell ahsoka about palpatine still being alive? he had a good 5 years after RoTJ to do so

sure, but saying filoni is innocent in the enture topic is factually incorrect

Are you telling me the fucking Terentatek sperm cells traveled through his blood stream, attacked and killed a large amount of his midichlorians, and permanently partially deafened him to the Force? This is absolutely disgusting, but I'm genuinely fascinated by the mind that could look at different Star Wars media and come up with something like that. Not even in Swtor would something as crazy as that take place. I could understand an Sith Alchemist using its skin or blood, but cum is insane.

But it could be.
>>
>>98525048
I don't believe a Jedi could train a Terentatek. They're only receptive to the powers of the Dark side. A Jedi would be assaulted and turned into a Fleshlight. I think what's scarier, a Sith can turn Jedi into slaves by having a Terentatek turn them into inert fuckmeat.

What a braindead argument. So the rest of Star Wars should forever be bound to J.J. Abrams' and Rian Johnson's stupidity? Why? Because the sequels were made with the prequel hate in mind and the idea of never referencing them that means Anakin Skywalker should never ever appear ever again, even though Return of the Jedi established that he can appear as a ghost? Which takes priority: George Lucas' work, or spiteful Abrams/Johnson fanfiction? This is a complete non-sequitur and doesn't make any sense. You are a retarded subhuman and should kill yourself.
>and again, what was stopping anakin frim telling ahsoka about exegol if the plot demands he cant tell luke?
Assuming for a moment that the retarded ST plot points aren't retarded fanfiction, let's go back for a moment: what stopped Qui-Gon from simply telling Yoda who the Sith Lord was during Clone Wars and thus saving the Republic and the Jedi from extinction? Retard. It's almost like Force ghosts don't simply reveal all the answers, it's like their role in the story is that of mythological guides, who make the heroes think and learn, and there is a bigger cosmic destiny at play here that you can't prevent. Going by the prequel example, some events are destined to happen and trying to prevent them can only make the matters worse, just like Anakin trying to act on his visions and prevent Padme's death.
>>
>>98525880
>So the rest of Star Wars should forever be bound to J.J. Abrams' and Rian Johnson's stupidity?
Yes, unfortunately, because to do otherwise would be Disney admitting they were wrong and radfems screaming misogynist at them from here to eternity because 'Muh Force is female, responsibility is a spook, Kathleen was never the problem, racist, sexist, rah-rah-rabble-rabble-roo'
Their perfect shield against criticism is now the gilded prison they've made for themselves.
>>
>>98525719
Probably they're given some type of training to get them to attack the guys with blue lightsabers over the guys with red lightsabers. Though I suspect getting killed by your own warbeasts was a common occupational hazard for Sith beastmasters. Probably one of the reason they fell out of favor.

As for my FWB/Crewmates, I would have a female Twilek navigator (who I also have kids with), a femboy Bothan scout, and a Gungan medic, both of whom I take to Pound Town, and a strongman Cathar mechanic, a fat Gungan gunner, and a musclefat Besalisk cargo guy, all of whom take me to Pound Town. My human and human/Twilek kids just run around the ship, they aren't old enough to help out yet. The next time we dock on Tatooine, I'm going to look for a Gamorrean or Shistavanen mercenary as a hired gun, because our gunner got injured in a gunfight that our mechanic started, so we can use the help.

I'm going to rationalize this as a case of "young Jedi leaves the order, discovers sex, and becomes massive slut". Many such cases, unfortunately.
>>
>>98530031
Given that force powers are apparently hereditary, this phenomenon would be a necessary part of the perpetuation of the Jedi Order. If ever powerful force-sensitive person became a celibate Jedi, then the ability to use to the force would gradually dwindle in the galaxy. You need a certain number of force-sensitives to be massive whores and spread their genes around to ensure that there's a good recruiting pool for the next generation of Jedi.
>>
>>98530031
Remember, George said that Jedi don't have to be celibate. They just can't grow attached. Meaning the temple was likely full of horny padawans engaging in constant casual hookups.

Right is 1000% superior to left in that image. I read the LNs, so I know it's true. The LNs also start to go to shit after about 10 or so when magic and not!Japanese space empires with super powers that could crush everything show up, and the harem starts getting unsustainably large and unmanageable in screentime.

To the question a Twi'lek and an Arkanian Offshoot. Also a Sephi.
>>
>>98530045
This is stated outright in a few Legends novels. Padawans hit adolescence and start fooling around, there are a bunch of "hidden places" that every generation thinks they're the first to use when all the older Jedi know about them because they used them back in the day too. As long as feelings don't get hurt to the point of inciting potential dark side shit and things are properly managed, they all grow out of being dumb teenagers.

Sometimes Yoda thinks it's funny to interrupt two Padawans getting hot and heavy and then lecturing them loudly in a disappointed voice so everybody nearby can hear. Then cackling at how they run away while being absolutely mortified.

Disney novels also have at least one instance where Qui-Gon and another Jedi are on a mission, and the other Jedi decides to just fuck some barmaid or whoever. Qui-Gon gets very disapproving and the other Jedi tells him to lighten up. Though the reason for the disapproval was more because they had other things they needed to be doing at the time than that kind of stress relief.
>>
What are everyone's thoughts on the Revan novel? As someone that really enjoyed both Kotor and Swtor, I'm very unimpressed by how they chained the two storylines together. I'm not a fan of how weak they made Revan and the Exile feel. Darth Nyriss shouldn't have been able to press the Exile so hard, at all. What a tremendous shortage. I walked in here and I said “Wow that’s not a lot of interceptors”. The TIE INTERCEPTOR. We love the TIE Interceptor, don’t we folks? Smaller than a tie fighter, a lot of people don’t know that. You know, Darth Vader, big guy strong guy, he came up to me tears rolling down his breathing apparatus. He said “Sir, sir my TIE fighter is like two balls and the rebels just blew the hell out of it” You know the rebels, nasty rebels, they come from Geonosis and they aren’t sending their best. Full of sand Geonosis, it’s coarse and irritating and gets everywhere. SAD. You know, some people say maybe there shouldn’t be so much sand. And we’re looking at that very closely.

It's not KotOR, but SWtOR is supposed to have a new expansion on Ryloth. Hope it's cool, has reactivity with Vette, and has cute Twi'lek NPC's.

Honestly, it is a shame it won't have the Tidal Locking and Night Side due to retcons in Clone Wars. Still don't understand why they genericized the world. Probably the staffs' fault, I think Lucas would have been down with that element if they sold it to him.
>>

This, but avoid the additional mod which restores the droid planet. Far too few things were actually complete so the area design and voice work is amateur and the actual mechanics and quests are terrible

Twi'leks are only extremely populous because for most of its history the primary, and only, export of Ryloth has been slaves (eventually they discovered snorting a local mineral gets you high, so now the number one export is drugs, with slaves as a close second). Female Twi'leks have been shipped off-world to serve as concubines and strippers in vast numbers for thousand of years, leading to them being spread across the galaxy.

>Nyriss and the Exile
I mean, Revan and the Exile are powerful, in the turn based D20 universe. If you take them and put them in a WoW-esque universe, their power levels don't come close. Revan won the exchange against Nyriss because she popped her buffs and channeled a high tier Lightning force power, and Revan just had a stronger Reflect force power. Even in MMO terms, The Exile and Scourge probably lowered her HP down enough to get her to ult. All Revan had to do was pull out his tank reflect.

I like it all(except the Shitsney Verse garbage), but I agree with >>98547703 that Warlords is kind of a sweet spot especially if you want to run a game for a group that includes both GCWfags and Jedifags.

>>98548244 it's essentially the period following the OT in the EU. The Rebels are transitioning into the New Republic but face challenges maintaining and expanding their coalition. Luke is beginning his quest to re-establish the Jedi Order but still hasn't fully nailed down his philosophy yet. The Empire has fragmented with the "official" Remnant actually starting out as one of the weaker looking factions, the rest all ruled by powerful self-appointed Warlords who mostly were bigshots in the old regime but can occasionally just be Captain Brutal McCivvymurder who shot his boss and took command of a sector through force of personality or access to some fragment of superweapon tech or the like.

You basically get to have your cake and eat it - you can have situations that feel very much like the GCW with plucky rebs facing down a resurgent Imperial faction, or you can have Rogue Squadron-type units doing spook black ops shit to take down the enemy, or you can have some minor Imp getting shat on by a big Republic push. There's loads of politicking and intrigue on all sides, there are independent powers like the Hutts and Hapan that are trying to manipulate the chaos for their own ends, and with the combination of Luke's quest and the lack of a coherent centralised Empire determined to wipe out force users they can't control, you can have a few Jedi who aren't OT main characters.

The clones were ordered by Dooku, the big Sith Lord looks suspiciously like Palpatine and he's already hoarding power to where the Jedi are suspicious, and they can't fucking put 2 and 2 together and figure it out. This is what happens when the villains are just a bunch of clowns.

Cause Filoni fucking hates Luke. He uses Anakin as a puppet to prop up his OCs but he hates the OT cast and especially the men. Filoni was behind making Leia the grandmaster because he genuinely holds massive contempt for Luke as a character, probably because Luke will forever be more popular than his shit characters and unlike Anakin he can't be used constantly to push his bullshit fanfic.
>>98547554
Lucas period. Everything from slightly before TPM to slightly after RotJ. Old Republic is fun but eventually just turns into a copy of the GCW with more Force users. Post-Endor starts out cool with Thrawn and Zsinj I suppose but eventually devolves into Dark Empire and Vong nonsense, and let's not even talk about Legacy which is utter dogshit.
The only bad part is that the GCW period is contaminated by a lot of EUslop which makes it worse, like all the shitty Marvel comics, early novel details that make no sense and D6 and the games having such dominance over the lore as opposed to the actual dictionaries and official guide books. I like games but they ought not to be fully canon, just portray real events in a gamified way.

Retard, I'm not anti-EU. If I was, I wouldn't talk about Zsinj nor would I personally love most of the CWMMP.
But I acknowledge a lot of the Bantam-era stuff is genuinely fucking retarded and set the stage for all the stupid bullshit that came after. It's clear that nobody got what the films were styled around and Star Wars became little more than idiotic Flash Gordon parodies. I mean for fucks sake, muh dark greetings and Triclops and Isard being Cruella De Vil and Daala being mega evil and all that bullshit. Or Luke falling in love with the ghost of a Jedi inside a computer, Veers' family getting purged for no reason at all, shit like that. Not even getting into all the retardation in D6, from Mon Cala being able to straight up prevent Imperial invasion through mining their lanes with interdiction mines to all the random fucking planets that make no sense to all the Imperial departments that are more focused on shooting each other on the back than doing their jobs (I know this list is very Imperial-centric but they got raped the most during this era, compare the Lucas Empire to any of these).
The EU improved a lot after people watched the Prequels and understood what Star Wars is about thematically. Most of the Bantam-era and slightly following media ought to be either reworked or straight up removed to get much better media in line (of course, that isn't always a guarantee as seen with TFU, but it happens far more often).
>>
>>98548814
>Dark Empire and Vong nonsense, and let's not even talk about Legacy which is utter dogshit.
Were those Star Wars comics at least fun reads?
Been meaning to read those but sadly I can't find a comic viewing site because the main one I think got taken down.
I'm not sure what site has replaced the main one for reading all the Star Wars comics, but I want to download all the EU comics and hopefully have them ordered chronologically.

I think Old Republic may have been one of the best timelines because in a weird way if my memory serves it was set so far in the past that most of what goes on doesn't really matter. It could have been its own Star Wars timeline if I'm being honest.

But also I love those animated cinematics too.
It is a bit weird to me that Disney hasn't funded a full CGI Star Wars film. Yet some vidya get a fully animated movie made to promote them. Resident Evil Vendetta's gunfights will never not be dumb fun funny scenes to me.
I think the CGI allowed for more "acrobatic sword fights" and being CGI it allowed for the audience to just roll with what was being shown in a way that live action probably never will capture.

>This is what happens when the villains are just a bunch of clowns
They were already clowns in Lucas prequels.
Filoni is a personification of the Peter principle. TCW was good for what it was: A TV series for older children. He singlehandlely saved the characterization of several characters from Lucas movies, and nicely depicted a galaxy wide war in many fronts.
But he's totally the wrong guy for live action stuff. He has the wrong sensibilities for that, on top of being too attached to his pet characters like Ahshoka that should died at the end of the war.
Sadly, at the time Lucasfilm was a headless chicken and he was the closest thing to a "winner" they had.
Personally I miss the 2003 Clone Wars series. It was a cartoon, but it was on point.

No, none of the Siths were clowns, specifically Palpatine was a mastermind in them. Only the fake villains who were always meant to be the patsies, like the Nemoidians, are portrayed as clueless idiots.
>He singlehandlely saved the characterization of several characters from Lucas movies
Wrong. He ruined the characterization. See Anakin going from a conflicted teenager, which was an interesting plot point delved into in the MMP, to him being jocky Han Solo. Or Obi-Wan going from the stern serious Jedi who somewhat broke his code to let Anakin be somewhat happy to a quippy, sassy asshole with no regards for anything.
>Personally I miss the 2003 Clone Wars series. It was a cartoon, but it was on point.
Genndywars WAS kino. Obviously stylized and shouldn't be taken as is (Mace can't destroy a whole droid army with his bare hands, duh), but it got a lot of things right. More than Filoni ever did.
>The EU had lots of shit, but also lots of good content
Correct.
>These only existed because of the initial work done by the WEG D6 TTRPG authors. And if you knew your shit, the official guides had issues too.
I'm aware. The issue is that D6 1. is a game system, meaning a lot of things are naturally compromised for gameplay purposes, and 2. has a shit ton of early EU issues. Just because they were based on it doesn't mean it needs to remain. I believe D6 ought to just be thrown entirely and replaced with more refined data.
>Remember the Curtis Saxton debacle? I do.
I'm not a fan of everything Saxton has ever said or done, I hate all the SD.net autismos and the retards there with a passion, but despite Saxton's moronic takes like Endor Holocaust or 900km DSII, he DID do some things right. Like giving ships more than 72 fucking starfighters and treating TIEs as a counterpart in naval philosophy rather than being just bad cause Empire cheap dumb. Wish much of that could be adapted to the GCW without the baggage involved.

Thank god that we finally got Rogue One and Andor to remind people of what was the original Star Wars really about.
>>
>>98551684
>Were those Star Wars comics at least fun reads?
When I was a kid, I convinced myself they were.
And yes, at the time they were incredible popular and well-received, fitting perfectly with the late 80s, early 90s edginess that infested comic books in the post Dark Knight Returns age. And even post Episode 2, there were fan polls that considered it the best Star Wars story post-Return of the Jedi. And being an edgy kid at the time, I probably would have agreed with them.
But re-reading them as an adult, the writing is pretty fucking awful.
Not quite "somehow Palpatine returned" level, but really not very far off.
And even while George Lucas praised the art, he always hated the idea of Palpatine cloning himself and afterwards insisted on having a say in the approval of manuscripts and notes for the later EU. It's unclear exactly how much of a hand he had in it, but he was at least sent manuscripts to look over.
And before you ask, yes, he was pretty furious at Rise of Skywalker for pulling the same stupid bullshit.
One time I fully agree with George.

KEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK
>wtf are you talking about
Retard just have a look through the Planets of the Galaxy sourcebooks. Some of them are fucking wild nonsense.
>Yeah, that never happened in Lucas movies, right?
No, it really didn't. In fact, the Empire is notably far more competent in the films than it ever was in the EU. EU saw Ozzel, a SINGLE incompetent Imperial who was quickly dealt with to show how ruthless Vader is, and made him the bog standard. Even Zsinj's first appearance was just a cartoonish Ozzel copycat but fatter and dumber. In the films, the Empire loses because of their arrogance and underestimation, but in a logical way, like how the Brits would underestimate their local tribes and get fucked for that. They didn't just fail at basic shit.
>Wrong, it turned to 11 the moronic fixation on Jedis and over the top family drama over the space war in the future side
Wow, a genuine retard.
>Rogue One and Andor
Understandable a cretin like you would be an Andorfag. Andor is not Star Wars, it's a shoddy geneirc cyberpunk show with a barebones Star Wars skin that tries to pass off as the saga and fails. Gilroy has straight up said the show is antisupernatural which goes against the MAIN FUCKING POINT OF THE SAGA, the Force. The show also once again makes the Empire blatantly evil and retarded, the stylization is awful and everything in general is subpar. Only someone with contempt for peak Star Wars would think D6 and fucking Cuckdor surpass Prequel-era media.
>>

> I believe D6 ought to just be thrown entirely and replaced with more refined data.
If you mean the stats, okay. It's just an older source and some things were changed later. The stats also are designed for the players to easily defeat enemy basic goons.
But it's still the best SW TTRPG ever made unless you're into making the Force like DBZ power levels.
>Like giving ships more than 72 fucking starfighters
The D6 guys got right the purpose of ISDs, while Saxton was a disingenous dipshit playing semantics with the "destroyer" denomination.
They weren't dedicated space fighter carriers or space WW2 destroyers, but flying military occupation bases with a fighter complement. 72 TIEs + all the extra spacecraft made perfect sense once you realize all the other stuff that needs to fit inside.
And the big huge empty spaces typical of SW tech for whatever reason.
> treating TIEs as a counterpart in naval philosophy rather than being just bad cause Empire cheap dumb.
Explaining why TIEs were mass produced and had no hyperdrive as part of Imperial politics was first done by WEG in the Imperial Sourcebook.

>Palpatine WAS a clown in ROTS. Lucas made him into a grinning spinning fat ass idiot that lost all dignity, just like Yoda in AOTC
Stupid. Yoda was cool in AotC and RotS, we got to see his fighting prowess while also seeing his wisdom. Palpatine was a mastermind, in RotS, he manipulated everyone and got what he wanted, and beat Yoda fair and square. The only caviat is him losing to Mace which I chalk up to him throwing the fight for Anakin (otherwise it does make his plan too flimsy)
>Anakin was a fucking shit character in the movies. Instead of a tragedy, we got a bratty entitled whiny teenager
That WAS part of the tragedy. Anakin being a bratty teen was interesting, we got to see how his slavitude affected his maturity, his view on life, how the Jedi's lack of care and conflicts between his vow and love drove him further to the Dark. Republic and Genndywars DID follow up on this gloriously. TCW didn't, TCW Anakin is a flat Chad character except when they need him to have a Vader tease moment with the Imperial March blaring.
>But it's still the best SW TTRPG ever made unless you're into making the Force like DBZ power levels.
Ehh... I can kinda agree on that. At the same time I don't like a lot of D6's worldbuilding. I think it could be a very good base but needs reworks.
>Saxton was a disingenous dipshit playing semantics with the "destroyer" denomination.
I don't think the whole destroyer stuff really mattered with him. It was later Saxtonites like Fractalsponge that blew the Imperial Navy way up in scope.
>flying military occupation bases with a fighter complement
Wrong. They ARE warships, they were designed for the Reconquest of the Rim and follow the same logic as the Venator or Victory. They aren't just bases of operation.
>72 TIEs + all the extra spacecraft made perfect sense

>Most SW fans nowadays adore the Prequels
They were shit and people laught at them for how badly executed they were. They're only remembered because RedLetter Media, Filoni and the Prequel Memes subreddit, lmao.

You're delusional. Rogue One + Andor were a return to the side of the OT forgotten by decades of childish Forcefaggotry, but that was too a core part of SW: the war movie side, the common man risking everthing against tyranny side.
>the Sequels
I think we can all agree nobody will miss those, except for the 2010s danger hair retards that unironically defend TLJ

>They're only remembered because RedLetter Media, Filoni and the Prequel Memes subreddit
This shit is bad bait. RLM has gotten memed on for a decade straight now for how dogshit their review of the Prequels were, full of some of the dumbest critiques imaginable. Muh "Prequel characters are too heckin' complex to describe in a single sentence", "We're so fucking stupid we don't know who the protagonists of the films are", etc. The only thing they got right was admitting they were insanely biased because they wanted more 80s nostalgia slop and they thought the fucking Gremlins were peak cinema kek.
Filoni has been disgraced and TCW has lost a lot of power after his subsequent failures in every show he's made under Disney. And most people I've seen love the Prequels have no fucking interest in Reddit, dumbass.
>Rogue One + Andor were a return to the side of the OT forgotten by decades of childish Forcefaggotry, but that was too a core part of SW: the war movie side, the common man risking everthing against tyranny side.
Star Wars was NEVER about "muh common man". It was always a return to form about the traditional heroes, forces of nature born to save the world. It's like old serials or fairy tales. From the very first film, Luke is the son of one of the greatest Jedi, Leia is princess of a very important planet, Han and Chewie are some of the greatest pilots in the galaxy, and the Rebellion would be fucked without them. The following films add to it more and more. The saga is about the Skywalkers inherently, has been since the start. Luke isn't the common man, he's the great hero who is able to save the common man. In fact, people like you tend to invent insanely stupid retcons which Lucas never intended, like the Rian Johnson-supported "theory" that anybody can have the Force if they heckin' believe enough.
>>
>>98551813
>"Prequel characters are too heckin' complex to describe in a single sentence"
You're too stupid to even grasp that their point was that prequel characters weren't characters but plot devices just shows you don't know dick and can shut the fuck up for all eternity.
>Filoni has been disgraced and TCW has lost a lot of power
Utterly delusional. Beyond the pale.
I'm done. I pity you. Too pathetic to ever accept how little you know.

>Yoda was cool in AotC and RotS, we got to see his fighting prowess
We saw Kermit the frog jumping around screaming like an idiot.
Both him and Palpatine didn't need any of that to be portrayed as dangeous and powerful in the OT. They lost all dignity and composture.
I was there at the cinema when the movies were released, and people were laughting at them both times.
> Anakin being a bratty teen was interesting
No, it was annoying and you wanted to smack him like the little punk bitch he was. You're probably mixing his actual AOTC scenes with those from the 2003 and Filoni CW that saved his characterization.
>I don't think the whole destroyer stuff really mattered with him
He involved with the SD.net crew and their stupid feud with trekkies from the start. He purposelly exaggerated all related to SW tech and ships so his buddies could own the trekkies.
Fractalsponge came way later and he was just a gaydy and tasteless groupie with a 40k ork mindset of bigger ships and bigger guns.
> They ARE warships, they were designed for the Reconquest of the Rim and follow the same logic as the Venator or Victory. They aren't just bases of operation.
Being a warship was a side of them. Their main purpose was Imperial occupation, hence "Star Destroyer".
The Victory was the early iteration of that, but the Venator was more of fleet carrier.
>Not really, that's game stuff for balance
Was it? IIRC there weren't rules for fighting with wings of fighters in the game. It was background fluff that needed to be aligned with what we saw in the movies. 72 TIEs were probably even too generous if you think about Endor.
>D6 ruined TIEs
Nah. The stats were weak because they were flying stormtroopers to be killed by the players, but their fluff wasn't nothing like that.
>>
>>98551813
>RLM has gotten memed on for a decade straight now for how dogshit their review of the Prequels were
Wrong. They were not always fair, and their humor was cringe 2000s edgy shit, but they were on point about all the major issues with the Prequels.
>most people I've seen love the Prequels have no fucking interest in Reddit
Delusional. Reddit memes is pretty much the only reason you still see Prequel references in social media.
I get it, you were a stupid kid and those were your first SW movies, so you can't help yourself with your nostalgiafaggotry.
>Star Wars was NEVER about "muh common man"
Yes it was. It was also about people rising to the challenge. Han and Chewie were just 2 low life criminals. The rebel pilots and soldiers dying were just normal people.
That was forgotten by the Prequels and the focus on forcefaggotry bullshit.
> invent insanely stupid retcons which Lucas never intended, like the Rian Johnson-supported "theory" that anybody can have the Force if they heckin' believe enough.
That wasn't a Rian Johnson thing. It was him trying to peddle as a novelty and SJW shit something that was canon since fucking ESB.
Lucas was an idiot that muddled the waters with the retarded Midiclorians shit, but the Force is in all living beings and can be used by anybody if trained enough with the right mindset.
Anakin and later Luke were a special case freaks because they were the result of the Force doing a great cosmic balance adjustment or some such Dune messianic shit.

They're literally called "the evil empire" in multiple sources, they're led by a literal evil space-wizard, and in the first film alone they murder Luke's adoptive family and blow up an entire planet.
The Empire is objectively evil and was clearly intended by the films' narrative to be evil. Doesn't mean they don't have cool uniforms, and in pretty much every SW game where you can play the Empire I will because their aesthetics are so much better than the Rebels', but I'm getting really sick of all the nazi-sympathizers insisting the Empire wuz good boys who did nothing wrong.

I never knew we could've had such crazy actors portraying Anakin. Maybe it's because I grew up with him, but I think Hayden was the best choice. While it's possible being Anakin would've changed Paul or Heath's life trajectory and they'd still be alive today, I think the only actor that would've put in the same amount of energy in the lightsaber dueling stunts would've been Bale, and he would probably hate being Anakin as much as Ford hates being Han. >Star Wars was NEVER about "muh common man".
Best character in the franchise is just some some mid-level criminal. No fruity superpowers or hecking laser sword. Just a gun, a ship, and charisma. He wasn't "born to save the world", dude just needed some fucking cash to pay off his debts and got dragged into a whole lot of bullshit. It's almost comical how fucking lame every other character is compared to Han Solo.
>>
>>98563117
Retard, Han Solo is explicitly one of the most elite criminals in the galaxy. Dude drives around one of the strongest ships (for its size) in canon, has Chewbacca as lifelong friend who canonically kis the son of one of the most important Wookiee leaders, is part of a secret Wookiee guild with secret hyperspace routes that allow the duo to go through the galaxy unnoticed and is super strong and one of the fiecest Wookiee hunters, Han also is probably the third best pilot in Star Wars after Anakin and Luke (fourth if you count expanded media where Palpatine is also a crack pilot) making him on par with Force users, he did the Kessel Run in record time and talks to Jabba directly which only elite bounty hunters and his staff can do AND eventually becomes on of the highest ranking New Republic officials.
Saying Han is just a common man/nobody is incredibly retarded. The common man is someone like Uncle Owen.
>>
>>98563324
Most of that is later EU writers hyping him up in a early version what we would now call power level wanking. In the OT Han was just some random smuggler who got dragged into the fight between the Rebellion and the Empire against his will and ended up joining the Rebels and becoming a hero. While the Falcon is clearly meant to be a fast ship, Han's talk about it being literally the fastest ship in the galaxy and the whole thing with the Kessel Run was not meant to be taken literally, but him bragging to make an impression on (what he thought were) the random farm-boy and old man in order to justify the why they should pay him to get them off the planet. The original script literally has Obi-Wan rolling his eyes at the Kessel Run bit, since he knows Han is making shit up (parsecs are a unit of distance, not time, so Han's line doesn't really make sense. Sure, it was later established that the Kessel Run goes through a cluster of black holes, and the more shorter route you take the closer you have to fly to the black holes, but that was EU writers not wanting to admit what a character might be saying may not always be the literal truth).
>>
>>98563786
>Most of that is later EU writers hyping him up in a early version what we would now call power level wanking
That applies more to someone like Wedge than it does to Han.
>Han was just some random smuggler who got dragged into the fight
No he wasn't. He was being personally hunted down by Jabba for losing an extremely valuable piece of cargo. He got Boba Fett, most dangerous bounty hunter in the galaxy, to go hunt him down for Jabba and the Empire. He has a ton of achievements that aren't "normal".
>Han's talk about it being literally the fastest ship in the galaxy and the whole thing with the Kessel Run was not meant to be taken literally
>original script literally has Obi-Wan rolling his eyes at the Kessel Run bit, since he knows Han is making shit up (parsecs are a unit of distance, not time, so Han's line doesn't really make sense)
Except it was. We know this for two reasons:
1. ESB proves that Han is indeed an amazing pilot and far better than most others with the Asteroid Field chase. The only other non-Force users we know who are able to go through asteroid fields are the Fetts, who are constantly noted to be extremely skilled pilots and mercenaries in any media including Lucasfilm media.
2. Parsecs was a Lucas mistake, not an intentional plot point. ANH has a bunch of these, like how Lucas wrote in "a thousand generations" for the Jedi Order in his fourth draft after keeping a thousand years for a few previous drafts, thinking it meant the same thing. When it turned out it didn't, he retconned it fully in Attack of the Clones, establishing the Republic is indeed a thousand years old.
3. The only time I've seen the Kessel Run claim be questioned is in the annotated screenplays, and that may be a case where maybe at the very most it WAS meant to be fake when ANH released, but was retconned into Han actually having those skills by the time you get into ESB and the asteroid field. Either that or the book just made a mistake.

>"elite criminal"
Han seems genuinely relieved to have struck a deal with Obi-Wan for 17k credits, telling Chewie "this could really save my neck." Luke states that 10k is enough to "almost buy their own ship". This means that the "elite criminal" is on the run because of debt roughly equivalent to the price of a ship you can buy in space Tijuana (Luke wouldn't have a reference point for anything else). Han is a mid-level drug runner in the OT, at best.

I know Disney will probably never detail the Sith Enpire and Lucas had a totally different vision of it (at different stages) compared to what Legends did.
So I have mostly forgotten they are and tried to mash them all together with my own ideas.

The Sith ranks:

Acolyte - Sufficient Belief
The cogs who believe in the Sith creed even if they might not have any force sensitivity and command the administration. They might rule an out of the way planet. Constantly jockeying for preeminence and hoping to be chosen as Apprentices or wield power behind the throne.

Apprentice - Sufficient Force Sensitivity
These are people chosen to become new Sith. There is usually only one Apprentice at a time, but graduates form a patronage network as they train their own. Murder between apprentices or their masters are common and unremarkable. They possess an ambiguous rank below their master’s own.

Knight of the Sith - Sufficient Combat Training
Those Sith who dedicate their lives to combat and war. They command the Massassi legions and lead warfleets. The frequently are younger Sith, trying to carve out a territory for themselves or their master. Most Sith are recruited to be Knights and die as them.

Lord of the Sith - Sufficient Skill
These are any Sith who has survived the gauntlet. The default rank of a planetary ruler or specialist in some hideous science. They usually command a patronage network of lesser Sith and corespondents.

Sith Master - Sufficient Respect
The rulers of many planets, the constantly victorious or the philosophers pushing the boundaries of destiny are acknowledged across the rival states as a Master.

Emperor of the Sith - Sufficient Authority
Among the Masters, any one but only one, can seize Morriband, homeworld of the Massassi and usually the capital is empty of an Emperor. If they can force obedience by strength or charisma, they wield a galactic power against anyone they choose. Building even grander monuments to memorise themselves.
>>
The Massassi are the name of the red-skinned species Legends called the Sith. With many being mutated into the hulking fighting force that were Legends Massassi.

I need opinions: Should a Scoundrel who finds a Ancient Jedi/Sith artifact be able to temporarily use the force when wearing it? Said Scoundrel isn't Force Sensitive, and isn't possessed by the artifact, or and entity living inside said artifact. Should my DM allow it?

They got into an argument that took up the last 10 minutes of our night, so we never found out what it does. He wanted to be able to use the Force now, and the DM said he needs to wait for him to ask him to roll the dice. He doesn't wanna honor the 20. We meet again next Wednesday night.

I'm torn. On the one hand, the engine is behind the pilot for the Actis which I think has a better "feel" than the Aethersprite (where the cockpit kind of hangs off the back and is getting "dragged along" with the rest of the starfighter), but the stubby design of the Actis (it really looks like a rocket with a cockpit on the front and wings strapped to it) lacks the overall smooth grace and arrowhead line design of the Aethersprite.

Apparently the Actis somehow has 60kg of storage somewhere too, while the Aethersprite has 0. Which is funny.

For me, it'd be the Actis. The Aethersprite is cool, but I like the window in the front of the cockpit on the Actis just a little more than I like the arrowhead shape of the Aethersprite.

I'm not a shipfag so I pick spaceships purely on aesthetics and I think the jedi fighter on the left looks better and more star wars-y

>Apparently the Actis somehow has 60kg of storage somewhere too, while the Aethersprite has 0. Which is funny.

Madness! Obi-wan empties the storage on his Aethersprite in the movie!

Yeah, no. The 'giving money to Disney' era is over until they actually retcon the sequels.
And make a starfighter series set in the GCW.

I've got a 4080 and even dropping down to High settings on 1440p it chugged every couple of minutes during battles, I had to enable Balanced DLSS to get it running smoothly(still barely above 60 fps).

But since it's a strategy game I can live with that, especially since I didn't pay for it.

You seem to be mistaking "vomiting uncontrollably at the sight of the heinous horse-faced cunt King Baldy inexplicably decided to legitimise" with "seething". A common affliction of Royalist poofters, but one easily cured with a guillotine.

>it's presumably either got some serious optimization deficits or GPU driver compatibility problems
Seems like literally every game released these days has memory leaks, poor optimization, bloated HD space general wastefulness in graphics coding. Are programmers all just shit now? I remember older games where they had to eke out absolutely every last drop of efficiency from the system. Now it's like nobody knows how to code, "just spend $1500 on an extra top of the line GPU lol".

The sweetbaby inc character creator pissed me off but other than that pretty cool

Plenty of technical catastrophes in those days alongside the near-magically efficient ones. I'd wager the problem is more that stuff gets pushed out before it's ready on the understanding that "oh, we can just patch it", which is, of course, not done.

Agreed
The character creator had me worried, but thw game is otherwise shockingly unwoke
