What was the biggest monster you ever went up against?

Total Bakeslave RAPE.

>>98530246
I assume if we're keeping the cat theme we're looking at barbs
>>
>>98530279
was thinking it would be some kinda androgynous genitalia like a pussy/cock slit but with a tentacle that has a suck or mouth that can suck fluids from cylinders
>>
>>98530252
Way past cool, OP.
>>
>>98530252
>What was the biggest monster you ever went up against?
There was a game where we had to fight dragon/elemental/demon/thing(some kind schizo spirit) that manifested a body the size of a mountain. Attacking it directly did nothing since it's armor soak was too high, so we had to crawl around it to find things not protected by armor.

>>98530279
That was after that sheet was made. >>98530290 was my answer.

Did I do something wrong?

Well, that sounds much more Tzimisce influenced than whatever I was thinking about.

Holy hell is that a lot of text
and I've got to sort out what's important to convert... and how to convert it in the first place... I-I'm sure it'll be fine.
>>98530286
Wait hold on this is important
It's ONLY tentacles? Or it looks like a normal penis but splits into tentacles? OR it's both penis and vagina?
Interrogating someone on their genitals isn't what I expected to do during my evening, but I NEED to know if someone would scream immediately upon seeing this, I feel like that's important
>>
>>98530338
>Did I do something wrong?
No, "way past cool" was Sonic's catch phrase in some of the early cartoons, and the monster in the OP is from Sonic Adventure.
>>
>Thats not fair. You should be allowed to have wonder without it sapping what makes you “you.”
Idk, I think this is a nice quote from a Dreaming/Lost crossover I wrote

A cataclysmically powerful and titanic Abyss (VtM) entity, sealed away, freed by the actions of a Lasombra Methuselah who it immediately absorbed (probably, it's a little unclear exactly what happened, we just saw her get pulled into the reality tear that it was coming out of). , it seemed as if the Abyss itself poured out around it (effect similar to Obtenebration 2) but we could make out a single arm that was taking up most of a large underground chamber.

Though "went up against" is a bit misleading. We just ran like hell away from it. We had already studied, with the help of a menagerie of mystics, the ritual that originally bound the creature, and rebuilt it. We needed to be on the deck to signal the ritual crew to begin the ritual. Too soon, the Methuselah would realize what we were doing and TPK us. Too late and we're probably facing a mini-Gehenna and a possible shattered masquerade. But it meant we had to survive while they did the ritual.

4 tentacles that emerge from 4 points on his back. Top two have teeth. One has needle teeth to inject and the other has fangs to rip into flesh. Bottom two are passive. All powers are in Freak Legion and Possessed.

A drawback from the bane not properly possessing him.

So what's the chances of White wolf staple on Not harmony bar onto every 6e splat no matter how little sense it makes.

Like W6 has a low hanging fruit with a revised Harano/Hauglosk and it's surprisingly applicable to Changeling with a Binal/Glamor bar. I stll dont know how Parawolf would try to crowbar a harmony bar into mage or hunter for that matter.

Asking for input,
Viking Einherjar Mummy Dynasties,
Separated into Valhalla & Folkvangr, what are good weaknesses?

I was thinking Valhalla(n? I dont know what suffix to use here) would somehow be forced into the Underworld every night (as Einherjar were supposed to fight every day, die every night, & be reborn in the morning)
Folkvangr are Freya's half, who go to a big parade ground/meadow, so I was thinking something like, they cant sleep indoors? But that feels weak

I should have waited to make this thread. I apologize.
>>98530629
Thats not me. Savage Genitalia only applies to the tentacles and mainly to extract fluid/malleated flesh and other /d/ material.
Allies are a "runt" Enticer Fomori that isnt fully lost to her bane and Unspecified Good Friend if I had to be honest. Both Contacts are Pentex handlers. One is a doctor who experiments on him and the other assigns him jobs in exchange for cosmetics.
>>
>>98530707
How about for the Valhallian, if they don’t experience a fight during the night, the next day/scene/session, they have to roll something, Wits+Brawl idc. If they fail, they suffer a -1 dice to all pools for the next day. Botches incite -2 dice penalty.

Infernal in my ExWoD game fought the King Brobdingagian from Gulliver's Travels 1v1. The giants in that book are described as eleven times taller than humans [so about 65-70 feet]. They met him in the Near Dreaming after he and his ilk had taken up resident in a gigantic solid gold tower scaled to their height. The giants were living in the only building large enough to contain them (the Dreaming equivalent of Trump Tower, which was depicted as baroque, solid gold, and of preposterous proportions so everyone of normal size was having a Toy Story adventure) after going down the wrong Trod and getting lost. The Lunar's Sidhe dad mentioned in offhand he was trying to convince them to leave so the Abyssal and Infernal decided they'd pop by and see if they could have more luck. The Infernal arranged a meeting on the grounds that as the future Demon Empress she was fellow royalty and during the meeting when diplomacy failed she challenged him to a fight, which she won with only slight difficulty. The giants then agreed to leave provided they could be somehow shown the way back to Brobdingnag.

>>
>>98530902
Yes but mostly no. It depends on the genre of superheroics you want. Mages are generally pretty squishy without the appropriate active Effects or Merits/Wonders. If you want to be the Justice League you're better off playing ExWoD or Aberrant. A group of well-armed, Paradox-free Mages are going to look more like Jojo's Bizarre Adventure or Baki or something, powerful situationally durable launching platforms for esoteric bullshit or over the top hung Effects. If you had no paradox, lots of free quintessence, ignore limits on numbers of active effects and generally bend the rules to get what you want then you can end up at JL-style heroes but by that point you're not really playing Mage as such; and you run into the problem that you can get *too* stupid and have Awakened with dice pools of 50+ or at-will long distant teleportation or supersonic speed and other such silliness.

Character concept:

An African Ventrue who can only drink blood from people who owned slaves at one point in their life.
He went with the ships to America to escape from his Laibon rivals and proceeded to ghoulify his owner.
In modern times he's seriously considering going back to Africa where slavery is still prominent but is paranoid his enemies there are waiting to get him.

I once wrote a story about an accidentally Embraced vampire who’s kept around because he’s strong and follows orders.
>>
>>98531486
How do you "accidentally" embrace someone?
>>
>>98531556
nta but it happens sometimes in vtm lore. most of the time it's that someone kills a ghoul in a way that kinda mirrors the embrace in reverse order (apparently if a ghoul bleeds out the vitae leaves last) and then just leaves or someone tries to save someone by ghouling them but is too late

or there is malkavian nonsense where the sire doesn't remember the embrace because of their derangment

How would you RP a low-gen fledgling in a Camarilla-ran city? And what would be a social significance of one? Would they be getting preferential treatment or used as someone to do some elder's dirty work? Or would they be diablerized on sight?
I never actually thought about that.

Probably snubbed by older Licks as an up start and pretender while being the subject of jealousy from younger Licks. there is a chapter in war of ages about how camarilla cities see low gen neonates

they call them pretenders because they are often allowed into what the book calls elder society so they can go to elder only salons and are allowed to play the elder entertainment games like hunting humans for sport or playing chess with each piece being a life and stuff like that, but aren't really elders so they have no say in anything in other words they are tolerated, but only tolerated in spaces that normal vampires their age aren't even allowed to know where the entrance is

that is if your generation is even known of course

>What was the biggest monster you ever went up against?
Pretty boring answer I know, but in the Sabbat Elders chronicle we had to fight a slightly larger than average vozhd before it could rampage through Boston in the late 1700s (I think it was 1785 or so). We managed to get it trapped in a storehouse where some gunpowder was being kept and set the building on fire. It survived the explosion, but was pinned under the burning rubble which allowed us to finish it off. Everyone was pretty much tapped out of Willpower and blood points, and most of us (barring our Ravnos) were near Final Death by the time the vozhd died. The scene was promptly followed by our pack trying to hunt while also fleeing the area.

Why yes, fellow citizen, violence against citizens who exhibit what your government classifies as deviant behaviour is, in fact, 'based.' It is just as based to give your genetic information to a commercial genealogy database, to provide your personal details to all online platforms that request them, and to trust that your government has your interests in mind and will always tell you everything that you need to know. Based citizens like us know our place in the world.

I agree, fellow citizen. There is no moral ground that is higher than serving in the paramilitary arm of our government. My heart swells with pride to know that I am of use to our government and that I enforce what our government declares to be good. I know with all of my heart that I am important to our government and that our government will never discard me, even if I am no longer of use to it. Our government rewards loyalty and only ever punishes the disloyal. Thank you for reminding me of this fact.

You can always use the reverse psychology trick. Put some redshirt cop right next to the mall and have him go "whatever happens, DO NOT enter this clearly abandoned, spooky mall, we already lost 5 men here". The PCs will go there every time.
At least it works on my players.

Will W6 finally incorporate coyotes into the LARP? These days you can find one in any major city in North America. People are familiar with them. They'd be fun to incorporate as a moving hazard or prop. Chicago itself has thousands of coyotes, who, by adapting to urban life and becoming nocturnal predators, would obviously encounter the World of Darkness.

Yeah, there's Nuwisha, but I'd like them to be downplayed solely because coyotes have outstripped wolves by miles unless you're in Yellowstone, and given the overwhelmingly urban theme, Coyotes and Eastern Coyotes are far more likely to be the animal representatives. They can still exist but I think a toned down, 'serious' version with some Garou in it would be a good entry point for newcomers.

>>98530531
Gonna try to keep it the way ww likes to make either scale shit

>Mage
Hubris vs Humility
Hubris increases the Paradox you take and eventually just humbles you, also makes it unlikelier to get seekings. Max Hubris has you paradox yourself so hard you stop being a PC.
Falling to Humility decreases your effective arete and the chance to succeed at seekings, but also makes Paradox less threatening. Max humility has you abandon being a mage.

Increased decreased by helping people out with coincidental magic vs blowing them up with vulgar magic. Understanding vs Questing. Generally one is linked to ambition and the other to understanding. You can definitely hover around at the extreme of either scale to lean into an archetype of a wizard, so a chad fireball hermetic would likely lean towards hubris and consequently be better at that, but find himself increasingly likely of fucking around and finding out.

There's more spiders in spacebattles again. More of a loredump and a setup chapter.

Ideas and opinions? I was going to have the vampires be strongarmed into dealing with Garou and have the Ananasi take advantage of the situation.

Maybe there will be a mage somewhere too.

Anon, that "This was an honest mistake" line doesn't work when the garou makes the same "mistake" FOUR TIMES IN A ROW. Even with all that, the other fera would have probably gotten over it by now anyway if the garou nation weren't so psychotically allergic to admitting they fucked up.

Everyone knows when a billionare is a nephandi, unlike NWO glowies or ITX commies. They're quickly and easily dealt with by the other conventions whenever it becomes an issue worth the effort.
That's also part of the core philosophy of how the syndicate functions. By allowing everything a place in the free market of ideas, they're forced to compete for space, which always leads to Jhor-huffers eating shit and dying. Some of them, there's advocates for every economic theory in the syndicate. Majority end up realizing capitalism is the only functional system though. The syndicate itself is literally run as a free market of ideas, a capitalist structure.

The "Free Market" is not "Laisses Faire" economics. A free market is a deconsolidated market, where no singlle or coordinated group of companies owns so much marketshare that there are no viable alternatives.
Saying "a tightly consolidated, government-backed monopoly is the natural evolution of a free market place" is as retarded as saying "Cancer is the natural evolution of a frog". Like cancer, monopolies are self-defeating failure states that fail to reproduce and die under their own weight after killing their host.

well Anansi, the First Anansi, may or may not be responsible for the war of rage. The Queen Mother was trapped in a great box by the Weaver and no one could find her no one could free her. Anansi pissed off all the other Fera and they caused such carnage that at some point, someone cracked her prison just enough for Spider-Shifter and Spider God to be able to communicate again.
So Anansi is both considered a lunatic with no fore-sight and the Damhan's greatest hero for using the other Fera to beat the Weaver and free Ananasa.
He's also still alive, probably predates humanity and still undertakes missions and attends gatherings with other Damhans
Being the guy responsible for the death of several other Shifters is pretty bad, but he at least got his Goddess back into the game. Garou have made far bloodier gambles and neither Luna nor Gaia care

that is the crux of the problem, yeah. The Apocalypse can no longer be stopped because you cannot win a war with just soldiers.
No medics, no commanders, no couriers, no peace keepers, no judges, no marines, no record keepers. What should've been the Gaian Nation turned into just the Garou/Soldier Nation. There are simply way too many things to do and not enough manpower and the one you do have only knows how to kill.
You remove the War of Rage (and its aftermaths) from history and it is a completely different situation. Even if somehow we still end up with the same impending Wyrm victory, the Fera are 10 or 100 times as numerous.
>>
>>98534820
>The only "people" disadvantaged in such a system are those who are so lazy, stupid, and worthless that competing at all is beyond their ability...
Anon, the main issue is tjat the number of these kinds of people multiple exponentially when times are good. The main issue is that humans are decadent and lazy, so any system that function too well will inevitable lead humanity to self-destruction. Like some game could theoretically benefit from that like W6 with a harmony bar being a direct upgrade to the harano & hauglosk bars and I could see it working really well with C6 in the form of a Banal/Glamor. Jury out on M6 or H6.

It's not just that they put a Harmony bar on vampires. It's that they poorly balanced the poles. Sure, the Beast makes sense to build around as one pole of such a meter, but they made the opposite end... Cowardice? Not even necessarily what's equated with high Humanity in older games.

Either that or I am mixing KotE's bullshit with the thing already.

>A meter with harano and hauglosk at opposite ends, meanwhile, I think would be a legitimately great update to the Harmony meter

Yeah especially since apparently balancing humanity bar is trivially easy from what little I heard from the play-test. So yeah a upgrade to the harano and hauglosk in the sense it's unobtrusive. Assuming Parawolf doesn't do something really dumb like making harano and hauglosk into a ST controlled Meta currency.

Yes, that guy said monopolies are "self-defeating." That, I disagree with. He also says that monopolies are bad for people outside of the monopoly. That I do agree with. Historically monopolies have been bad for everyone except the people doing the monopolies, and it took state intervention to mitigate those monopolies.

Here's a total rework of CTD I just came up with off the top of my head. Instead of being fairy otherkin manchildren trying to prevent Banality and stuff, you're, well, still kinda fairy otherkin, but you're traversing the hopes and dreams of others and trying to help them remember they're allowed to hope and have dreams.
Basically instead of Peter Pan let's go full Kingdom Hearts or Ultraman Arc.
>>
>>98535381
Anon, that's already a thing in CtD. The peter-pan manchildren are the aptly names Childlings.
Wildlings and Grumps are the changelings that are navigating the way to grow up without losing the spark of wonder instead of outright rejecting growing up like childlings do.

The M20 RP thread has made me realize that I'm too Consensus-pilled, I can't come up with a character concept that sounds fun to me that would fit with the Traditions, at best I've got a Brundle rip-off that thinks Brundle was retarded and could have revolutionised logistics if he wasn't so fixated on the transporter teleporting living beings that could go to the Etherites, but could just as easily go to the Union. I can't see this character wanting to work with Wiccan wine aunts, Harry Potters, Kung Fu Miyagis and the local crackhead. My ass is so banal I could probably kill a Changeling.

Increasing the magic and wonder in the world inherently makes it a better place. Your job is to cure the sickness of the mind.

Because people mostly read third party primers to the "culture" of the game and that fucks with how they see it.Changeling has an internet culture of playing navel gazing autists or shit like that.

I don't think it's my lack of occult knowledge or consideration of alternative beliefs as valid that's the problem. I've read plenty philosophies, belief systems, and even dabbled in alternatives myself involving animism, reincarnation, determinism, gnosticism etc. Once met a giant Snake spirit on DMT and took up some Setite-tier beliefs. I think I'm just... beyond it. I've grown up seeing people put their effort in playing with their dolls and saints and altars and the only thing that gets them is something to put their pains into to feel like they've got some control over their life, with their only manifestation being more plastic crap to sink money into.

not that i know of, v5 had some international networks (i mentioned the redwork blackmarket before) but schrecknet was ded

that being said schrecknet before v20 was hacking proof because it was a global eternet network (made out of city wide smaller networks that got connected only recently) with very limited connection (some sources even said none) to the internet and some parts of it even needed auspex to use
BJD is made it just a vampire darknet forum with vampire email adresses that you can write to from non schrecknet emails and thus hackable

so if we want to be very charitable this might be one of those return to legacy things
>>
>>98535951
>global ethernet network
Wtf lol
>>
>>98535961
yeah schrecknet was originaly just the nosferatu's servers in each city with no connection to anything which then later got connected first across the us and canada and then also europa

it did not touch the normal internet before BJD
>>
>>98535951
>so if we want to be very charitable this might be one of those return to legacy things

Honestly if Parawolf is really going to commit to the whole "return to legacy" Mo across V6 I wonder how they going to W5 and to a lesser degree H5 if they arrive to the game lines.
>>
>>98535961
Schrecknet used to be super secure in owod. the virtual adepts managed to hack Hunternet despite it's supernatural protection in HTR's spellbound book but never even found out about Schrecknet. that what makes the NSA being able to find it, breach it and download most of it's data a lorebreak easily on the level of operation vienna
>>
>>98535978
Which book details it? I think the wiki uses nulore because I'm not really seeing "unhackable ethernet network". They even have this guy called Hurricane that hacks it
>>
>>98535794
>>98535808
I'll come too and force everyone to homebrew up a cohesive fusion of Geist and Wraith complete with rules at gunpoint. Then we'll play that so everyone/no one is happy.
>>
>>98535990
sadly there is not a single schreck net book it's mostly scattered around the nosferatu, city books and the clan novel saga (the project started in new york which is under siege by the sabbat in those novels)
>They even have this guy called Hurricane that hacks it
yeah Hurricane is from the old books but there despite being a computer genius with 5 dots in it he has no connection to schrecknet at all in either of his two write ups. it's something they later retconned in with v20 (which again has a completely different view of what schrecknet even is) to explain why other clans are now allowed to use it
>>
>>98535990
Hurricane hacking into Schrecknet is v5 lore. I saw no mention of him being able to hack into it in the first or second edition of Chicago by night.

I notice a lot of vampire entries on the wiki are their profiles from v5. If you see Mortal Days and Kindred Nights then its v5 lore
>>

v20's is actually worse it's just a deepweb forum with no supernatural or even deep cyber protection one lick in bjd just find a schrecknet connection in Marie beckett's SS childe managed to find a schrecknet connection while chatting on a public chat
> A decade or so ago, one of the New York Nosferatu created a Deep Web system for the Clan to share information. The idea caught on, and soon all of us were sharing what we heard online.
>. In a short time, the network has become more than just a database: it has become a social network as well. Some of the younger Nos have even started calling it Filthbook and Garbage+.
(lore of clans pg 155)
>Bauhaus_999: I’ll be judge of that. Doesn’t matter, I have your IP addresses now. Hrmm… This is interesting, are you connected to the SchreckNET?
(BJD pg 485)
while in previous editions it was a collection of archives most noticable in new york and vancover with no fucking Schrecknet.nod emails connected directly to the internet. no links. no chat function just secrets nosferatu felt like sharing, nictuku sightings, boons that could be used by other clan members etc

sorry i must have had a stroke writing this

but yeah in v20 the only protection schrecknet has is that the passwords are reseted periodically
>Pretty much any Nosferatu in good standing with the Clan has access to the SchreckNet. Those that aren’t in good standing just don’t get the new passwords whenever there is a periodic change.
it's bad. it's a serious downgrade and shows that the person who wrote it knows nothing about cyber security because what do you mean the ethernet at the office of my previous job that i kept complaining about was insecure because the office was filled with idiots was more secure than schrecknet
i hate the person who wrote it and i assume it's dawkins because he was involved in lore of clans and wrote bjd

metis who feels that feminism is distracting from real gaia hours, or metis rights or something
>>
>>98536188
Any particular brand of feminism? Honestly not a hard sell if you focus on the right subgroups. Feminist ideologues actually clash pretty frequently.
>>
>>98536188
By making a Black Fury male metis who despises feminism but doesn't hate women.

Obvious answer aside, it depends on how you define feminism and what "not hating women" involves. Are we talking about a guy who thinks that women deserves equal rights but thinks that feminism is a female supremacy initiative intended to turn men into second-class citizens, or are we talking about a guy who doesn't hate women but thinks that they should all be seen and not heard and stay in the family home to cook food for their men and pump out children and that they shouldn't be allowed to do much other than that?
>>
>>98536221
The second one. If possible I have an idea for homid or lupus but if to crazy metis is fine. He truly belives they should be secondary but how would he even grow up in such an environment with out the tribe tearing down his belief or maybe killing him
>>
>>98536092
>we can only run so many layers of living dead people before it becomes Bleach
It's fucking weird how easily the entire bleach universe fits into wraith. I wouldn't be surprised if kubo was a classic world of darkness fan like nasu.
>>
>>98536285
Well, Metis are the only moids the Black Furies will accept into the Tribe.
>>
>>98536092
Wraith already had core support for entering weapons to temporarily transform them into ghostly relic versions to be wielded by other wraiths. You can't censor yourself out of becoming anime later, it takes constant mindfulness not to lapse.
>>
>>98536285
>homid or lupus
Anon, the Black Furies literally do not allow non-metis male Garou in the tribe. Any male Black Fury has to be a metis, which means that any male Black Fury has to be raised by the female Black Furies, who will constantly be reminding him of his place as a man and what men are responsible for.
So, maybe your Black Fury male chauvinist develops those beliefs as a rebellious reaction to the teachings of the tribe, like a teenage boy raised by a single mother going full incel. However, the majority of the tribe will consider him directly opposed to the tribe's goals and ideology if he's open about his beliefs in any shape or form, so he's very likely to end up booted out as a Ronin or just outright killed by a pack of female Black Furies who believe that he is a threat to women.
Maybe the only camp that would accept him are the Freebooters, who care more about making new caerns in distant places than gender politics. But if any Amazons of Diana, Crones of the Temple or especially Bacchantes find out about him, they're going to consider it their sacred duty to get rid of him (preferably by killing him, the Bacchantes aren't going to consider any other option) before he oppresses any of the women that the tribe has being trying to save from oppression.
>>
>>98536318
Got this wrong, the Bacchantes and Crones of the Temple are unlikely to kill him just for harbouring those views, while the Amazons of Diana are. However, the moment that he actually hurts a woman, the Crones and Bacchantes will 100% go to the ends of the earth to tear him to pieces.
>>
>>98536290

Fuck it, bring on the Bleach. What do you meaningfully lose from Wraith if you schizo out into some anime nonsense? "Male chauvinist Black Fury who hates feminism" is as much of an obnoxious subversion as "ethical plastic surgeon Camarilla Tzimisce," but how the tribe and its camps will treat him depends on how you do it.
>He's a Ragabash who doesn't act on his beliefs but is open about them
This is the only version of which is really playable, since the whole point of a Ragabash is to be subversive and challenge the tribal status quo, so he'll be tolerated, even if he'll be frequently used as a punching bag by the women of the tribe.
>He's any other auspice who doesn't act on his beliefs but is open about them
Expect hostility from the rest of the tribe, and to be frequently be challenged to duels with the demand that you eat your words and shut the fuck up if you lose. Expect lots of shunning and efforts to push you out of the tribe.
>He does chauvinistic things and supports chauvinistic causes
This is the point where the Amazons of Diana would actively push him to be expelled from the tribe, if not try to lynch him outright.
>He kills and/or rapes women under questionable circumstances like frenzying or Thrall of the Wyrm
Bacchantes will be chomping at the bit to kill him, but the Temple of Artemis might hold them back and consider exile from the tribe or some other severe punishment more suitable.
>He kills and/or rapes women in cold blood for chauvinistic reasons, such as putting uppity feminists in their place
He is everything that the Black Furies hate, the fact he claims to be a Black Fury makes it even worse. Every Black Fury who knows who he is will try to kill him on sight, and he will probably have a pack of Bacchantes hunting him at all times. They will not rest until he is dead, and if they fail, a more talented pack will be sent in their stead.

well nagaraja don't need a merit to eat fresh flesh so i assume that every vamprie can do it but there is little point because unless you have the cannibal merit only the blood part is what nourishes you
>>
>>98536904
It's an extremely Nephandish movie on account that the viewer (through the protagonist) gets his very justified and relatable grievances shat on and told he (you) should just shut up, lower his (your) head and eat shit quietly as the world decays and falls to pieces all around, and never expect anyone to lend a hand or a sympathetic ear because as soon as there's no more profit to squeeze out of him (you), even his (your) familly will fuck off without looking back and forget about him (you) forever. So yes, the Technocracy loves it, they probably bankrolled the production themselves.
>>
>>98537399
There is a ritual to make blood wine, variations of the ritual could be a thing but... there's fuck all in regards to food or other drugs.
>>
>>98537464
Is the food for the ghouls? Unless there is a nagaraja there I cant see any vampire wanting to eat anything solid.
>>
>>98537488
>Is the food for the ghouls?
Probably.
>>
>>98537454
>>98537480
>>98537488
No Nagaraja there, so I'll have the Prince offer blood wine and blood beer alongside a banquet meal for the ghouls. That should give the proper message of "I'm powerful and rich."
>>
>>98537497
I mean, you can always decide the local Tremere came up with a new ritual for turning blood into food.

Typhon's Brew is a Setite ritual that creates a gallon of beer for every point of blood spent during the brewing process. It also takes a full lunar month to brew. While vampires can drink Typhon's Brew, its main benefit is that a quart counts as a month's vitae for ghouls - letting you sustain four ghouls for the price of one. Praise Set!

Blood Mead is a ritual that creates an drink that a vampire can drink which acts as an anesthetic in addition to an intoxicant. It requires two points of blood to enchant a single drink, grants an extra Bruised health level, and imposes -1 die on all Dexterity and Intelligence pools for a number hours equal to the successes scored on the casting roll.

Oinos of Dionysus is a ritual which creates a special cask of wine what when drank by mortals, induces a feeling of happiness, arousal and lethargy for a number of hours equal to the successes on the casting roll, but can be resisted with three successes on a Stamina roll (difficulty 8). While under the effects of Oinos of Dionysus, mortals need to succeed at a Willpower roll (difficulty 8) to take any action. If a vampire drinks from a mortal under its influence, the vampire experiences an artificial sense if happiness and remembers nights when they were mortal, but the effect can be cancelled by spending a point of blood.

This concludes our seminar on blood sorcery-based alcohol. See you next night.

Suggestion: TQs asking about people's games don't really generate much discussion. Perhaps make next TQ more general?

Skill issue. People need to be more open. Also call a fatwa against Neckbeardia.

So in exchange for +1 minimum arete at chargen ( = 4 freebies), you lose 5 freebies + 2 restrictions on physical attributes

Unless it raises the maximum arete at 4, it’s just better to take the regular adult template and put child-like flaws and fluff it as a child

>What was the biggest monster you ever went up against?
A Dragon. Cliche for sure but we were playing Dark Ages chronicle and nothing is better than a Dragon when it comes to a big bad in medieval times. I don't know whether it was bygone, chimeric or umbral but it was fun.
As a side note, I vastly prefer the Foundation + Pillars approach to Paradigm + Spheres.
>>98530886
All of that of the Wyld.

New bread will be up soonish.

Its already a pain trying to come up with splat agnostic TQs sometimes. I can try but sometimes its "Fuck, what kind of edition should I do this time? What havent I already done?"

>>98537959
>Neckbeardia
I still seethe about the time he read the story about my burned necromancer and insinuated I had a thing for burning people. It was the catalyst for a death god taking interest in her, an emphasis for the physical corruption of necromancy, and explain why she wore porcelain masks / was always covered from head to toe.

>>98538333
Ive already accepted Im not going to please everyone with my TQs. I mainly try to make sure theyre not inflammatory and most people can answer them. Im always surprised by what gets engagement and what doesnt.

Focus on Masquerade, then.

>A good analogy for THE WYLD is a Virus
Some White wolf writers are so shit at their jobs it's unreal.
How is an organism that can only exist by culling and destroying other organisms like the Wyld? Most Viruses don't even rapidly mutate.
Why do the keep comparing the Wyrm to Cancer, a disease that's a problem because it creates new creatures by itself and rapidly changes itself endlessly to adapt to anything?
>>
>>98538538
this is the same gameline that had mushrooms as wyrmish for some reason

given it's anti science stance i am just assuming it's willful ignorance of the real world

nta but Soul King is just there. It is crippled to the point of not capable of doing anything. A fate worse than death, that's why Yhwach was turned into the new Soul King.

? Wyld is the unchecked creation with no solid plan or thought. That's why all of it's spirits can flip between helpful or harmful. Why it's own armies in the Plane of Apocalypse constantly betray or turn on each other.
>>
>>98538578
>had mushrooms as wyrmish for some reason
To be fair, I could see mushrooms as a holdout from the original uncorrupted wyrm. They feed on death and decay, but in a good way that keeps the cycle going.
>>
>>98538508
I'm not really saying it's your fault, I mean this TQ did get five replies. Most of them substantial. Problem is those replies fail to generate any discussion themselves.
>>
>>98535942
Damn. It's true. I'm too schizo for the Union but not schizo enough for the other traditions. In an effort to increase my IRL Arete I should make an effort to come up with a concept for each of the Traditions. Howzat.

Etherites are cool, but I wish the books would open them up a bit. I feel like 90% of Etherite stuff is just mad science & steam punk. I want a guys whos like "check put this mumbojumbo i learned from some shaman in darkest Peru!

That's Dreamspeakers though.

I always thought racial science would be a cool Etherite paradigm, a modern day Yakub
>>
>>98538763
I mean a guy who is like adventure pulp heroes. Like, he who thinks the Dreams peaked is an ignorant savage but would be fascinated by it & would take a bunch of crystals or copies of their symbols back home & study it & try to improve it. Does that make any sense?

I mean, I thought the point of it was being the mad science tradition. How would you incorporate the mumbo jumbo? Maybe a machine that traps spirits and condenses them into potions like the Scream Extractor from Monsters Inc.? It could perhaps transform them into tubes you can put on equipmen to replicate how like how Woofs can forcefully trap spirits into Fetishes.

>>
>>98538758

etherites have that. they have a merit that allows them to use foci from another tradition or craft because their paradigm is so wide that you can incorporate most other mages into it with just a bit of troll logic

and being a optimistic pulp hero is the entire point
>>
Wait is it the Etherites or the Void Engineers who fight the hollow Earth nazis?
Fuck, I should read into that more. Which book covers the Hollow Earth Dark Side of the Moonbase Nazis

To be fair, it is usually the exact opposite. They are open minded but their paradigm is usually too subjective and specific to themself

"Behold, my Nerdinator 2000! By analysing released neural seismic waves and how they interrupt the local fields of reality of a mage or scientist when they perform their great works, the Nerdinator 2000 can print out a recipe in Science! terms I can put to use! Soon, all of the Traditions shall bow before us, whom were unjustly cast out from the moronic Technocractic Union! Your true name, reduced to pure sublime formula! Remember that Odin frequently took the guise of a young girl, especially in battle ostensibly to humiliate his rivals, and knew magic that required giving blowjobs.

See this is what im talking about.
Why not an Etherite who flies because he suffuses his body with Ether & becomes lighter than air or maybe he chants some tonal waves & this allows him to fly?

Sometimes you just have to really rub it in the face of your subordinates that they can't eat human food anymore. It's very Ventrue-coded to have subtle power games like that
>>
>>98537399
There's a sabbat coven that figured out magic that lets vampires "eat" food, aka taste but not digest. It's some weird combo of flesh crafting, blood magic and I think dominate.
>>
>>98537399
through magic, yes. otherwise you need the merit.
