One of the things that I am shocked that nobody really noticed about Pathfinder 2e is just how the Action Economy in that game works to basically wrangle in the spell casters in that series to a degree. They can only really do so much with the spells that they have while martials and shit can compress all of their actions and do a lot more in a single turn, especially if thye want to do some damage and then some crowd control after that. I just think might be a way on how to balance casters but I never really see it brought up for some reason. Not to say that I even particularly like Pathfinder 2e though, it is a very fiddly game.
I never talk about Pathfinder, because first and foremost I know effectively nothing about it, but also because after becoming disenchanted from D&D, I refused to explore other systems beyond the games I make for myself.
>>98537768I guess? But really it makes every single feat just a different flavour of action compression which is extremely boring. They should have just tweaked the strength of spells directly and made the game less of a headache to play
>>98538139I was thinking that the base idea of martials being able to do more is a good idea, even if the feats themselves are rather boring.
>>98538043Based DnDogshit hater.
>>98537768QoH my beloved! The people that actually care about game balance and build variety stick with PF1e.The people who play 2e because it's the latest think are mostly theatre kids too cool for D&D that don't think about the mechanics all that much.
>>98537768Martials could always do that. Action economy has never been the main issue with martials. Do you even play D&D?
>>98539500>care about game balance>stick to PF1e
>>98539798You are literally, objectively wrong.
>>98537768When Pathfinder 1e fans wanted Pathfinder 2e to fix casters, they meant doing things like tweaking the power of spells, getting rid of D&Dogshit's spell slots system, actually making spell schools matter so that players gave to specialize. What absolutely nobody wanted was a retardedly over-complicated overhaul of the Action Economy that doesn't actually address any balance issues and only serves to make the game even slower and more tedious to play than it's predecessor. I think D&Dogshit is dogshit, but I'd rather play D&Dogshit 5e than ever have to play Pathfinder 2e again.
>>98537768That's because nobody PLAYS Pathfinder 2e.
