I'm ADHD so I like compartmentalizing, and one thing I like is how different attributes carry across different types of monster
ASCII games like nethack do this extensively because the monsters are literally letter + color
For instance, theres red dragon, blue dragon, orange dragon, etc.
but also the "textures" translate across directly and there's also red mold, blue mold, orange mold
And red is always associated with fire, blue always with cold, etc.
Do you think "texture" should be factored more into monster creation so that it's more systematic?
I don't think it would be bad to incorporate this more into things like red goblin, blue goblin, etc.

And what textures do you think are worth having?
Personally I would add some funny shit like "lead dragon" that is associated with idk

It doesnt make sense unless elemental affinity is a significant part of the system

Is it...? Did I miss a update or something where they fixed this?

Idk are you thinking like general descriptions such as "rough scaled" or "bristly hairs"? Is texture associated with how it feels to the touch or something more...gay?

Blue dragons use lightning in D&D, Nethack, and ADOM.

Lead is a texture?
