Here's the finished fixture. The wooden ring is about 2' in diameter, so you can get a sense of scale.I had some cheap E12 LED 'flame' bulbs in the candle cups, which really worked well, but they lacked any control. So I replaced them with these ugly wifi LED lights I can interface with Home Assistant and the Streamdeck.
And one more angle. I'll post the entire room once I move all the shit out of the way for good pictures.

We play in a 20 x 15' room.I've got an older server PC driving everything, mostly. It has a Streamdeck, and 4 USB sound cards. The sound cards are ran through an old Onkyo 5.1 amp's different surround channels, front, rear, and center. I also have a 15" ported sub in the corner of the room. I also have a small Intel NUC hidden off to the side in the room running Home Assistant.6 speakers are hidden in the ceiling, under thin polyester black cloth/creepy cloth. 4 in the two corners, and 2 directly over the table. This enables me to play sounds and music in all areas of the room. All the lights, and lanterns are driven with Philips WiZ or ESP32-S3's running WLED, and everything is controlled through Home Assistant.I have two small(er) air vortex fans on smart switches, and a fogger that I have also modified to start, and also separately trigger using smart plugs/Arduino.Theres a 42" 4K TTRPGTV in it's own enclosure, on the table for battlemaps. There's also a cheap 1080p projector mounted on the ceiling, protecting onto a large screen on one of the walls Still working on it, but it's coming along.
When I bought my house, the previous owner had been too lazy to remove the cheap pool table in the basement. Rather than haul it out and burn it, I cleaned it up, ripped the felt off it, resurfaced it, and painted it with that dry erase board shit. Then I meticulously ruled it out in a grid of one inch squares which I darkened with a Sharpie. For the last 16 years, it's been a reliable if slightly janky gaming table, a testament to the ability of particle board to actually be able to withstand a damp environment, at least the particle board of yesteryear. For those of you that aren't old enough to be here (and for a lot of you that are), note that overhead projectors did exist back then, but if you wanted one that would work acceptably from a few feet away, it was going to cost as much as a used car. I understand that the situation has changed since then. In fact, I just now bought a projector for $60 and change that will be arriving tomorrow and should do the job and if it does, I'll be removing this table and constructing a new one...not because it's needed, but because this is sketchy as hell and I like oil-finished wood, not plastic and OSB.Note the amount of illumination for a 95 year old basement with only a handful of light bulb sockets in the ceiling. I'm big on light. I like 5000K light and I want a lot of it. That part of the basement is illuminated with no less than 6 Feit corn cob bulbs, each putting out an advertised 4000 lumens, plus a few overhead shop lights, with the remainder of the light being provided by a couple of vintage bar signs and one custom neon sign. My basement is brighter than most homes are, and that's just the way that I like it. That's my ambience. It's not a game day unless Ms. Schlitz is illuminated, the basement is bright, the beer is flowing, and I'm bitching about people fucking up my tabletop.>disregard the various indicators of degeneracy at the table, 3 out of my 5 players and myself day drink on game day
