sex/romance is fine but expecting the gm or anyone else to participate in it for roleplay is very weird and would make me leave for good. for plot purposes i wouldn't care so long as its confined to a simple dice roll for seduction or whatever and then we move on

The implication that romance needs a player flirting with the GM is stupid. Saying "I try spending the evening with the barmaid" then rolling whatever you need to is perfectly fine, same way you do anything else in a game.
