Why would I play the woke version of warhammer?
TOW looks cool, but I still like Warhammer Armies Project because of the extra armies and units

Even their board games had amusing, overpowered, just for the sake of it rpg elements. Making WHFB into a straight wargame with sensible math, a la Space Marine and Epic going the way of Epic 40000 might have been more balanced but if you want that play DBA. All their games got tainted when they tried to make them into proper wargames and it gets worse with each edition. 8th is ridiculous. The transition between 2nd and 3rd 40k fucking killed off so much personality and fun alone. By 5th and 6th 40k is pozzed afMost people refuse to remember in the 90s they squatted whole games and raised prices all the fucking time

The only reason I play TOW over Fantasy is simply because of the increase in base size, don't give a shit about anything else, having more leeway to have my guys rank up while also being able to have all my guys interchangeably fit in whatever part of the unit I want them is in a comfort I can't move away from now. That said I don't give a shit about TOW lore or anything going on in it, as far as I'm concerned I'm still treating it as WHFB.

I like TOW because they keep dumbing down and streamlining 40K and AoS and stripping all the options from armies. Chaos can only take marks in one detachment and they give similar bonuses. Wtf? New oral codex is a fucking pamphlet.

Battlemarch is actually what has finally made me taken the plunge. I dont really have a TOW scene around here. I live rural and any events that do appear in the closest city are all 40k. So instead of making a single 2k point TOW army I'm gonna make several 500 point armies for my family to play against each other instead.
