And it's not in the doomed hopelessness that's more typical for CoC, but rather directly showing the PCs that they could have just stayed home and everything would have been fine. Whether or not the collective minds of humanity would overwhelm the entity matters a lot less compared to whether it makes for a satisfying conclusion. I could see it being the case where even if the plan fails, the nightmares persist and steadily get worse, as the eldritch entity just ends up 'comatose' with its alien mind still linked up to all of humanity. Maybe the followers found out that they can whisper into the ears of their fallen master to start slowly influencing humanity that way.Basically, just make it so the party has a few days/weeks to properly sever the psychic link before the eldritch monster's foolishness dooms humanity anyway.

But they've gotten so far away from their original ideals of "everything or nothing" as far as what was allowed to be cataloged with the only limit really seeming to be legality, like the good autist clusterfuck it was, and now they have some circlejerk of retards deciding what people are allowed to talk about and what is allowed to be cataloged.As far as /tg/ goes I only ever found it useful for finding new game systems and settings, which old /tg/ used to be better for either way, and for finding things to watch or read for inspiration. Using it for writing stuff always seemed like a bad idea though.
