Going with Terran Dominion, because Mengsk did nothing wrong. Based the scheme on how they look in-game and in WoL cutscences.

Very much WIP, still highlights and bases to do.

Primed black, sponged the base color brown, aggressive beige drybroush all over, and then a lighter pale sand drybrush from top to bottom. Then some moss patina and umber wash mostly in the lowert parts.

No, I'm painting the Protoss up how they appear in the Legacy Of The Void campaign. So Khalai in gold, Nerazim in silver and blue/green, Tal'darim in black and red and so on.
I want to have all the various cultures and sub-factions represented on the tabletop.

does anyone know if the starter sets are going to be like limited release or limited quantity or something like GW fomo boxes or are they going to be a perpetual product?

interested in getting into the game, it looks amazing and the prices are pretty good too which is surprising. but i've been burned so much by GW fomo and scalpers botting orders and their shit manufacturing just being out of stock for months or years, idk how on the ball i need to be about snagging a box or if i can afford to wait a bit

I have the Protoss Founder's Edition set + Stalkers. Current plan is to paint them up as the Daelaam near the conclusion of the End War.

Artanis painted as... well Artanis
Adepts painted as Purifiers
Sentries painted as Khalai
1 squad of 3 Zealots painted as Khalai
1 squad of 3 Zealots painted as Tal'darim
Stalkers painted as Nerazim

Should be pretty sweet.
>>
>>98566857
Can someone give me a tl;dr of this setting?
I've only played Wings of Liberty many moons ago, and that was already very in medias res.
>>
>>98619878
its basically space australia

korprulu sector (where the games take place) was settled originally as a prison colony. turns out there's giant spiders and another native species and now all 3 are at war

terrains: originally ruled under a confederation, a small band of rebels (the sons of korhal) help to overthrow it, but the leader of the rebellion (arcturus mengsk) turns out to have been a power hungry bastard with hidden motivations of galactic tyranny and oppression. also woefully mishandles the zerg situation and makes it exponentially worse. eventually another group of rebels, lead by the original groups 2nd in command and local sheriff jim raynor (who has an on again off again romantic thing with the second leader of the zerg sarah kerrigan/queen of blades) eventually works together with her to overthrow mengsk (that was the end of the wings of liberty campaign if i remember right)

protoss: oooooold natives to the korprulu sector, their society is split into several factions. the main faction, which you can think of as vanilla protoss, called khalai, live as a semi-collective consciousness connected to each other via a psychic link using the tendrils extending from the back of their head. also a sort of religious sect. the nerazhim, dark templars led by zeratul (the green and copper dark guys) severed their tendrils and their link to the collective counsciouness to maintain their independent personalities and free will. although they are outcasts and shunned, they work with the regular protoss on ocassion. the taldarim are a third sect of old protoss who never connected to the khala in the first place. basically sith lord protoss to the normal protosses jedi. led by a guy called amon
>>
>>98619878
>>98619923

zerg: ancient bio weapons developed by an even older progenitor race called the xel'naga (think ancient aliens/stargate vibes, they also created the protoss), the zerg are a swarm of hive mind biomechanical creatures, but more than that the zerg is more like a parasitic micro organism that not only spawns new creatures but can "infest" other organic creatures and even the landscape, transforming them and making them part of the hive mind. this is what happens to sarah kerrigan, originally a human psionic assassin who ended up captured by the zerg and transformed into the queen of blades. the zerg at the start of starcraft 1 were ruled by a giant city sized brain called the overmind, but over the course of the 1st game kerrigan betrays the overmind and userps its position as leader of the zerg swarm. the zerg were also responsible in a previous war for invading the protoss homeworld of auir, and the protoss have a serious chip on their shoulder about that.
>>
>>98619878
This is a very good summary made by Blizzard that covers everything important that happened up until Legacy of the Void, the beginning of which is what the tabletop game is based around right now.

https://youtu.be/j5WJf-y5z-0
>>
>>98619923
amon is like this weird eldritch god thing that was previously a xel naga or aligned with them i cant remember, and he tries to control protoss and zerg and fuse them into hybrids and all sorts of shit.

the taldarim also have another leader guy called alarak, whos kinda like a darth vader type guy, previously amons second in command among the taldarim but he leads a rebellion to break the taldarim away from amon. im a little fuzzy on the details on this one. he ends up working with the regular protoss in the end, even if you can never fully trust him, kind of a will he wont he betray us type of vibe
>>
>>98619878
important characters

jim raynor-leader of raynors raiders, worked with sons of korhal. generally roped into the plot against his will

sarah kerrigan/queen of blades-leader of the zerg, former terran psychic assassin. raynors love interest

tassadar-leader and hero of the protoss, sacrifices himself to destroy the overmind

artanis-new up and coming leader of the protoss, also heroic, and tassadars pupil. boyscout warrior type.

fenix- sort of a minor protoss character. heroic warrior, friends with raynor, killed by the zerg, comes back as a dragoon (mostly dead guy in a robot dreadnought style)

duke-regional general of the terran confederacy. keeps trying to fuck raynor over in the 1st game

arcturus mengk-rebel leader turned evil emperor

alarak-sith lord protoss

zeratul-like the qui gon jin of protoss. disagrees with the protoss council but not openly hostile to them. crafty old veteran, sort of an outcast, conventional protoss question his methods but he proves to be right about stuff a lot. has frequent beef with kerrigan

the overmind-city sized brain that led the zerg

stukov- former terrain general gets corrupted by zerg, now kerrigans 2nd in command

abathur-kerrigans bio engineer mad scientist zerg creature

nova-who?

tychus-convict warrior terran. teams up with raynor, betrays raynor. cigar smoking bastard type character. huge minigun

daniel liberty-protagonist of the book liberties crusade, human reporter/investigator at ground zero of the initial zerg invasion of the terrans. character from the novels, the novels delve deeper into the confederations secret experiments, complicity in the zerg infestation, and mind control programs

I was thinking about how they can add some of my fav units to the game. Some are obvious, like Aberrations, but the more I thought about it the more I realised I can't think of an accurate way to represent the Swarm Host in the game.
If it just spawns new, weak Locust models every single turn it'll be OP as it'll let you flood the board with infinite Locust and simply calling its ranged attack "Locust Swarm" or something is lazy and boring.
How would you handle the Swarm Host?
>>
are you guys actually gonna go wysiwyg when there are a million options for everything? alternate paint schemes for elite units?
>>
Just got the terran/zerg starter set boys

>>
>>98632893
Similar to the corpser? Once a game summon.

Or, you can summon every turn, but it removes your earlier summons.
>>
>>98633999
There is no point in doing wysiwyg in this game, you couls say that you can do that to the Terran Marines, but what about the rest of the army? most options and skills cant be displayed on the models, so just have the list at hand and treat them like every other unit, ofc you can try to match that as possible, for example I have a squad that is fully equipped with shields and stuff and another that is barebones just to clearly distinguish them on the table so I dont get them mixed up if I give them diferent upgrades. I havent decided on elite units yet, I'll probably paint one of each.
>>
>>98632893
I can see it being a unit that can spawn 3 or 4 units that are shit but are free, not emdless units. Like the Corpser Roeches but bigger and tougher with more "ammo" to spawn

I'm finding it hard to justifiy Corpser Roaches over Vile Roaches. Roachlings aren't worth doing anything with, and the Corpser is worse at range but better in melee, even though the Zerg have plenty of melee and NEED more ranged units on the table.
I've found Vile Roaches are just better and cheaper.

The more I look at it the more I hate the Stalker design.
It's not a dragoon with an injured guy inside but rather some kind of magic machine infused with soulstuff which is just dumb.
The head sticking out, the whole teleporting thing, the stupid laser beam, I hate everything about it.
Someone got high and said how about we give Protoss Dragoons again, but they are the dark templar now and came up with this nonsense. It's so dumb and I've come to hate it over the last 15 years.

It's actually one of my fav sci-fi walker designs. Love the alien look to it, the fact it uses the whole spiritual side of the Nerazim, the voice acting for it, the way it works in game.

I wish they didn't try to replace the dragoon with the stalker and instead tried to come up with ranged infantry for the nerazim as a counterpart to the standard zealot. Really, I just think it's stupid a species already on the ropes fills the role of melee combatant with only living soldiers. At least dark templar have the excuse of being camouflaged hunters. Sure there's the justification that every zealots armor has an emergency teleport, but it's still stupid.

Games are mostly from 1000 to 2000 minerals
For a 2000 mineral game Zerg will be around 50, Terran around 40 and Protoss around 20
You can build lists here so you can check out what you want to build: https://sc.starcraft-tmg.com/
keep in mind that more units are announced, which will probably be more costly in points, like the siege tanks, other hero units with their elite squads, or even the really big ones like the Ultralisks further into the future, so the average model count will get lower.
>>
>>98641711
That sounds reasonable. I'll have to see if anyone wants to go halves on one of the starter boxes
>>
>>98640775
Useful if you want to charge up into something like Marines or other light surge units. The Assault phase can be brutal towards Zerglings if they've got the full murdermarine gamut of upgrades.

Roachlings need a buff or something, but you are pretty much taking it because of armored melee.

No, I build a full equipped squad and a barebones one, just to make a clear distinction on the table, but whatever equipment they'll have will vary from game to game. preorder is actual preorder, right now it should be the standard starter sets and wave 2 units (ravager, immortal, siege tank, zeratul rules/faction). However stuff that has been available since like 2 weeks might still be on shipment to Australia and NA and I think should be getting down there on 12th-ish
as to better place well I guess you will have to look around depending on location, there was initial buzz that the shop's margin was pretty minimal so they might've rectified that

Got a game in! Based on the SC2 mission, the Moebius Factor.

During the height of the Second Great War, the Queen of Blades personally led a significant portion of the Swarm to the world of Tyrador VIII and laid siege to the Moebius Foundation facilities located across the planet. Overwhelmed and caught off guard by such an attack, the Dominion forces and mercenary units stationed on the planet were forced to fall back and abandon the majority of the world, digging in around the main Moebius facilities in order to guard the crucial research being carried out by Dr Narud and his staff.
Kerrigan largely ignored the rest of Tyrador VIII, disregarding the undefended population of the world as irrelevant as she drove her Broods towards the personal offices of Narud himself. She sought the information stored there, desperate to unearth the secrets of the Xel'naga and discover the location of a weapon with which to fight the growing darkness she knew would one day come for her.
The Terran defenders knew not why the Zerg were so focused on the data cores and computer vaults, but Narud, fearing how Sarah could interfere in his master's schemes if she possessed such information, ordered his men to stop the Zerg from capturing them at all costs.
Kerrigan charged a loyal and cunning Queen with securing Data Core X-17, and gave her servant command of a portion of her Brood with which to do so. As this Queen led her warriors towards her Mistress's goal, she saw Terran troops digging in around the core. With a psychic pulse, she ordered her horde into battle.
The Queen of Blades would not be denied.

Very rad, Anon.

I had my first game with my buddy this week, fucker charged in with medics to bog down my marines long enough to have his Raiders get in position and utterly melt em'. Even if we half-assed the rules, it's a fun time. Terran Armed Forces feels good against Zerg or Protoss, but IMO Raynor's Raiders are absolutely fucking crazy in TvT. (And probably really good in TvP.) A shame my opponent didn't have time to slap some paint on his models. (My Sons of Korhal at least get a victory in that regard.)

Here's to me buying a shitload of Goliaths and a few Siege Tanks.

Artanis is very, VERY good. But Zealots are the best units in the game right now so you can kinda get away with not using him so long as you fill all your core slots with Zealots. (Stalkers are also retardedly good. Honorable mention: Raptors. Fuck those little bastards.)

Opening at the front seems like a bad idea. I mean having plates designed specifically to move apart enough to allow a person inside. Reinforced, even armored, sure, with no doubt a decent locking mechanism. Still seems like a bad flaw to put center mass of your soldiers.

I'm partial to Wings of Liberty's opening cinematic. True Tychus' suit was unique, not intended to be opened, at least not anytime soon. I still like the idea that suits are built fresh around a marine each time, putting the man in the can so to speak. A bit harder to get back out of without an engineering suite, true, but then how often would a marine get out of armor in a hostile environment? I just imagine the barracks having the infrastructure to suit people up and take the suit apart again. Reuse the good bits, refurbish what you can, recycle the rest.

I'm trying to figure out what's funnier. That the meat is less important to the Dominion than the suit, which they seem to go out of their way to recover in whatever condition it is in, or the idea that this is why a new marine only costs a mere 50 minerals.

I read the book a few years ago. Sadly didn't leave much of an impression on me. Kind of boring. Foundation was a much better read until the later novels. I preferred the focus on the various developmental stages of the Foundation over the whole Earth quest stuff.

They probably had the front opened up to show Holt getting "his" armor, like "it's time to suit up" in the most unsubtle way possible while trying too hard to make it look cool and Scifi.

I feel like the theme of the video with the indoctrination of Dominion troops
would have worked better if they suited up their loyal troops the same way as expendable prisoners

The panels that open up to let the gib soup pour out feel silly, like how is that part of the suit still working
If it was the machinery holding the suit that drained it that would make more sense

Shwarma will 100% pull the plug and it'll get canceled when she finds out they haven't actually been working on it at all and its vaporware. Todd and Bethesda didn't get away with the same shit releasing teasers for games that don't exist, I don't know why they think they can.
>>
>>98674912
I couldn't even tell you how all those suits were recovered in the first place. It's true the Zerg wouldn't find much need for them, beyond the occasional infested Terran, but how were large scale recovery ops (and this seems to be since we see several suits in varying states of disrepair, such as one missing a leg that's on the conveyor belt at the end) even possible? Zerg would just creep over that shit since it's in their territory. Nuking the site from orbit would also wreck the suits.

But like other said it's just a riff on Starship Troopers (film version) from boot camp to Klendathu. Least they aren't leaning as hard on 40k?

In his announcement before the Dominion Assembly, General Brannigan had high praise to bestow upon himself for bravely allowing his marines to keep the Zergling units occupied with their own grisly demise, thereby giving time for Ghost teams to launch a nuclear bombardment that completely annihilated the Zerg position. Reports indicate the Ghosts were also within the blast radius. Truly a stunning win for the Dominion!

I think people forget that the folk stuck onboard the colony ships that arrived in Koprulu Sector was filled with the mutts, the mutants, and the mind walkers. Some of them all the same people.

Unless this was retconned? Old lore used to be this is why humans in that area were developing psi talents which the Zerg homed in on, hoping that chowing down on telepathic humans would help them in their eventual showdown with the Protoss. Hell, maybe it was retconned since the Directorate also had Ghosts.

The problem isn't Holt being a mutt specifically- the problem is the sum of all the trailer's parts feel like a generic scifi shooter rather than Starcraft specifically. The mutt zoomer PoV. The laser knife fighting. The generic looking mechanic man. The speech & narrator both sounding like they were ripped out of 40k. The grimderp production line. The stock background soundtrack (fucking WEIRD since someone said MICK GORDON worked on it.) Fuck, even the OVERLORDS felt weird, like they were trying to emulate the vibe from Death Stranding or something.
None of these factors INDIVIDUALLY might be an issue, but put it all together in one trailer and you get the impression they're not really making a Starcraft shooter, but rather recycling an old IP to make a Space Marine clone.
Go rewatch the SCII trailer and compare it to this shit. Mengsk narrating. Tychus looking like one of those typical degenerate hicks from the first game. Sexy lady art on the armor in line with all the other cool grafiti you'd see in Metzen's concept art. It all FELT like a continuation of Starcraft- like someone thought the previous game was the coolest shit and just wanted to give it better graphics.
This meanwhile feels like Microsoft stripping the house Blizzard built for copper wiring- not really giving a shit about the previous setting, just looking to see what can be ripped out and repurposed to ape off of what's popular now.
>>
>>98675836
Well now that's just very unfortunate.
>>
>>98675883
Except for the steady line of broken, giblet filled suits returning to the barracks for refit. Smells like victory!
>>
>>98676963
It's actually unironically worse than that. The overt fascist imagery of having rank upon rank of buzzcut zoomers saluting a call-and-response Nazi rally. The Zerg swarm is immense and incalculable, our boy Holt gets one look at them and shits his pants, halfway empties one magazine and dies messy. His recovered armor is hosed out by a faceless technician among countless other reclaimed suits getting the same treatment. There's a tray full of discarded graduation pins to hammer home that this is all they do, everyday.

Contrast with something like Helldivers, which I'm sure this game is going to rip off from liberally in gameplay, where the trailer presents a bombastic celebration of jingoistic patriotism. The picture-perfect ethnically diverse middle class family is brutally murdered by bugs prompting our thirty-something protagonist to join the Helldivers, which then goes full recruitment video and montages a bunch of exaggerated swagger combat scenes. All of it is 1:1 with the game (even headshotting the Bile Titan with a recoilless rifle) but rather than play up the abject horror of Malevelon Creek or Oshaune, it's framed to glorify how badass the Helldivers are - NOT to play up their inherent disposability. You buy into the fantasy because you believe that you can be the best of the best of the best.

It's fun.

All that the Dominion trailer tells me is that Blizzard takes itself way too seriously and has completely forgotten what made StarCraft charming in the first place. An open world shooter sounds cool, show me how it's cool; don't tell me that you think fascists should meet a sticky end.
>>
>>98677158
Dominion is a fascistic state you dipshit. You spend SC1 fighting against the confederacy which were the retarded hicks that LOST the fucking war. They were destroyed by the Zerg, the Protoss and the Sons of Korhal who became turbo authoritarian commie/fascist/monarchist dictatorship.

Did you even fucking play the game?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6bVj-nTkiU

You spend the second game's terran campaign fighting against the dominion. And the new game is set 70 years afterwards. Dominion was never destroyed, it just got new leadership in the form of Valerian whose reforms apparently did not stick.

The redneck hicks in the frontier are long gone by the new game because it is set 70 fucking years after the destrcution of the confederacy. SC2 is just 4 years after BW. Tychus was a man born into the confederacy. Mulatto Holt is some dipshit kid born decades since the last great war and the destruction of the confederacy.
>>
>>98677259
Nobody's saying that the Terran Dominion isn't fascist, Mr. Media Literacy, the point is that the trailer for StarCraft: Dominion looks grim, dour and unfun. I'm glad you're excited to play a Hitler Youth that gets turned into sticky red paste, some of us would rather engage with the power fantasy of being a walking tank with a rapid-fire railgun and this isn't selling that fantasy.
>>
>>98677259
>The redneck hicks in the frontier are long gone by the new game because it is set 70 fucking years after the destrcution of the confederacy.
I understand the lore explanation moron- I'm saying it's retarded to make a game set in this time period because without the space rednecks and Southerner vibes the Terrans are bland & forgettable, as interchangeable as the human military in Halo or Helldivers or Dead Space or Doom or Destiny or Gears (if you ripped the macho shit out of it) or Space Marine (if you ripped all the gothic shit out of it.) It doesn't look like there's anything interesting or outstanding that will set this game apart from any of the other scifi shooters- it'll just be more of the same in an oversaturated market with bigger titles overshadowing it.
It feels like they're sterilizing the world to make it more marketable, because rednecks are obviously code for white supremacy/conservatism so it's heckin problematic, but without them you're not left with much.
Fuck, even if they HAD included the space rednecks they'd STILL have trouble making this game stand out from other space man shooters, hence why they had NOVA as the original pc when they were trying to make the game work forever ago.
>>
>>98677521
Ghost was a completely different kind of game, it had more in common with Splinter Cell. Dominion is probably more closely related to Project Ares, the cancelled Terran Marine shooter from about ten years ago. Nova wasn't going to be the protagonist of that.
>>
>>98670726
its established in the........3rd novel? 2nd or 3rd, i cant remember which, i think it was speed of darkness, that the terran confederacy was/is using literal mind slaves by brainwashing and overwriting the memories of civilian populations to get them to """enlist""" in the marines, on top of their other forced prison labor recruits like tychus.
>>
>>98677398
>some of us would rather engage with the power fantasy of being a walking tank with a rapid-fire railgun and this isn't selling that fantasy.
Then Starcraft is not for you. Terran marines have NEVER been walking tanks. They are expendable pawns. The only less expensive unit in the game is the fucking zergling.
>>
>>98677521
sometimes a game doesnt need to reinvent the wheel. it just needs to be good. they dont need some new scifi societal contrivance to distinguish their brand, they just need to make a good shooter with a starcraft skin. they arent some indy dev trying to get their foot in the door with some kitschy angle, they're starcraft, people will know what it is the second they see the logo. it just needs to play well, maybe tell a good story or have some cool levels. space marine 2 didnt do anything you hadnt seen before, and more or less the characters were functionally the same as a spartan or a gears of war guy, but that game blew up because it looked good and it played well and it was attached to a big name that people recognized.
>>
>>98677398
It's Starcraft, you will have ample opportunity to mow down hordes of enemies with giant guns and vehicles.

>>
>>98677596
You've seen a cg trailer for a game that's coming out in four years, yet all you want to do is find absolutely anything to bitch about.
We know nothing about it, except it's a shooter set in the Starcraft world, so it will very likely not subvert expectations when it comes to killing shit, because that's what Starcraft is all about.

Space Marine is the exact kind of game I'm talking about that blows half assed attempts like this out of the water retard- it didn't try to do anything fancy, it just had a cool character in a cool world brimming with personality.
Imagine a space marine game WITHOUT all the cool gothic shit or the weird looking characters like the tech priests or even the cadians or the one man crusade vibes- shit would've been dropped in a week. The atmospehere of the world is what sold the game more than anything- and with that sucked out of Starcraft now and replaced with generic scifi military shit is probably doomed to fail.
>>
>>98677552
Tertiary detected. Marines are the single most versatile unit in the game, they can fight equally well against ground and air units. Mass marines take down endgame units in both SC and SC2. Add a couple of medics to support and you can steamroll most encounters.

I said nothing about not being versatile, you fucking moron. I said about them being expendable and not being walking tanks. Terran Marines are squishy and die like flies in any fight. Their in universe life expectancy in combat is 9 fucking seconds as stated in the Brood War manual.

If you want walking tank infantry, you play as protoss because their units are actually tanky. You fucking disphit. You clearly have never played the game.

Hence why shit doesn't work as a story driven fps- Private Pepe fresh out of Space Hitler Academy who dies 30 seconds in after finding out the real evil alien space bug was MAN all along is a stupid played out premise.
The Lt. Master Marcus Chief Slayer Space Man premise the other anon talked about is played out too, but at least it's consistently retarded fun.
NEITHER feel like Starcraft really, but at least the former would jive better with the retarded macho redneck antics you'd see embodied with the grunts in the first game and Tychus (the named character grunt man) in the second. I could see a game sort of like Gears of War where you have a band of retards getting up to all sorts of machismo antics to fight the zerg (eg piloting a Thor to fight an Ultralisk and spending the first half of the fight whacking it in the face with your guns because you have no clue how to turn off the safety), aggressively winking at the camera all the while.

None of them really capture the feeling of Starcraft though- best thing you could probably do is a Battlefield type shooter where everyone runs around as a marine/zergling/zealot and unlocks other units as the match progresses. Another played out premise sure, but the mass melee in two factions would at least add some variety other Battlefield type games don't necessarily have. You might not even have balanced teams but ratios to reflect the individual strength of the protoss & the swarm reliant aspect of the zerg.
>>
>>98678491
I do wish that the approach they had taken for the game was some battlefield Starcraft version. Mostly because I want to play as a Zealot and slice up marines and zerg units alike. The protoss are the coolest part of Starcraft.
>>
>>98678491
Itll be fine bros I think everyone is overthinking “shooter”
You shoot space bugs it’s not that deep lol
>>
>>98678491
I get what you are saying, but I wouldn't consider Tychus just a named grunt character. Most if not all of the named characters in SC2 are special snowflake hero units, with Wings of Liberty's optional mission against the nydus network on Char being the worst offender. Nothing wrong with that, I suppose, it's fun enough, but Tychus with his ridiculously oversized minigun and shredder grenades, higher armor, higher health - definitely no mere grunt.

HOTS is a hot mess but I will admit he was fun in that game. Get the healing on his minigun, known when to boost away from enemies, and you could endure a lot of other characters, wear down their health, then chuck a grenade at their back as they flee for a takedown. Or just drop the Odin in and go to town. Jimmy's greater range and heavier damage are overall more reliable, but he's just not as much fun to play. And I just felt like mentioning all that. HOTS is a Blizz game, draws from the source material, but it's still its own thing and I wouldn't hold it as a true indication of what they can do. Like teleporting in the Odin, for one.

Also I suppose technically Nova's missions are a worse offender at named characteritus, but they're a self-contained thing tacked onto SC2. Still wish we'd gotten that Nova game. Much more than whatever this is that may or may not but probably won't come out in 2030.
>>
i dont know why people like Space Marine so much, guns are pretty useless there so everything ends up being just melee slop.

>>
is it me or is artanis a bit of an underperformer? yes he allows more movement shenanigans and his double charge can be funny to distract on speed 8 character but he just can sorta ok go through chaff or armored unit whilst folding to any other hero
>>
So, two questions. For a first TT wargame with no modeling experience, is this a bad one to play or assemble? And is the starter set all you need to get started with normal games, or is it like combat patrol where you need to buy more shit.
>>
>>98666724
Tychus is alive and thriving
>>
>>98680883
Putting models together is just following the instructions, all pieces are numbered so no big deal, you only need a hobby knife, a clipper and plastic cement.
A starter set is good enough for 1000 mineral games.

I have a question regardless the draft part of the mission. If each players brings two mission cards, the loser discards 2 of them and the winner choses between the 2 available ones?

May aswell just the winner select one mission from the cards the loser brings, because 100% of the time the loser is gonna just discard whatever 2 mission cards the opponent brings.
