>>98576756>Any cool lizard/dragon creatures you've had in your games aside from the more common ones?I threw in a wandering encounter that was a giant turtle with a moonsilver mirror embedded into it's back at one point. When it activated the mirror it made a portal leading to the bottom of the sea floor in a demesne the turtle had attuned and started flooding water everywhere and rapidly regenerating. You had to swim through to find the hearthstone to de-attune the turtle, shutting the portal and turning off it's regen. I chose not to explain the provenance of this creature. Artifact-cyber-mutant, behemoth, lucky, whatever, it was a cool form for the Lunar, +1 Hearthstone, and a big mirror's worth of moonsilver looted from the corpse.

Re-reading 3E Abyssals, I rather like 3E Walker and his spooky mercenary band. He seemed pretty uninteresting to me on the first read, though not more so than his 1E and 2E versions - he's always been the most forgettable of the Deathlords, I think. For some reason I like him more upon a reread, though. That whole mercenary flamboyance mixed with religious zeal and chivalry of sorts is actually pretty cool. It doesn't make much sense that his highly visible organization of largely undead mercenaries openly operating in the East, not to mention Walker himself and the moving shadowland that follows him, haven't drawn more attention, though. I mean, they're hardly mentioned outside Abyssals. One would think that they'd be a widespread ghost story in the East, target of the occasional Wyld Hunt and a cause of concern for Sidereals. In fairness, he is mentioned in the Sidereals book, but only once and in passing, as one of the Deathlords whose identity is known to the Bureau of Destiny. I guess I don't have any particular point here, just putting my thoughts out there, to be either discussed or discarded depending on whether other anons have something to say about Walker or not. Well, I do have this point to make, on second thought: I think that Walker demonstrates one more general trend about 3E: the writers do genuinely have good, cool, interesting ideas, but there's a reluctance to think everything through and put it all together that I frequently find frustrating.
The UCS is fine btw, it's just Inkmonkies that really ruined him with the whole "jesus, god, satan and a robot all in one" shit. Before they were a thing it was a huge point that a group of essence 5 solars could take him on.This is funny because people will say five essence five solars can take him on now. Don't argue with them that it's only through ST-fiat that he's able to lose and that his stat block is retarded. It's almost as bad as the kilomote shit late 2e went though.to be clear I like jesus stuff in my games but old UCS was just stupid and clearly some authors pet project. IIRC the fucker wasn't even addicted to the Games of Divinity, a defining trait of his. Old 2e lore had way too much lame shit in it, my god. I guess I'm in a mood right now but holy shit was stuff just lame and dumb.
>>98577758I largely agree with you, but I'll say that it doesn't really matter whether or not he's addicted to the Games. It's not really a defining trait of his, and I don't think addiction was really mentioned or hinted at 1E's Games of Divinity, not for the Incarnae, least. It just says that they play the Games to because they want to, because they've toiled long enough and now it's their turn to enjoy leisure while others toil, instead. What is important is that the UCS is a largely absent and indifferent god, but there doesn't need to be anything more to it than weariness and the desire to enjoy the spoils of his victory. The whole addiction thing was, IMO, a step towards making more more of a pure Jesus figure by making indulging in the Games not really a freely made choice.
>>98577810I don't remember the Games of Divinity being divinely addictive being a Inkmonkies thing or fan canon but the more I think about it it just might be. IIRC we even have stats for it and it's not even that hard to stop being addicted to.before inkmonkies there wasn't even much UCS content besides him being a bit of an asshole and being okay with Dragon-Kings killing slaves to offer him hearts. He wasn't really a good guy. More like a classical war god instead of jesus.
>>98577810>What is important is that the UCS is a largely absent and indifferent god, but there doesn't need to be anything more to it than weariness and the desire to enjoy the spoils of his victory. And he gave the rulership of Creation to the Solar Exalted. To someone like him, he might have to keep to that promise even if he doesn't want to.I think there's plenty of reasons a ST can have for the UCS to be so offhand, but it really depends on what kind of narrative the Storyteller wants to tell.
Trying to change things that don't need changing Lore edition:Characters can buy up to 3 dots of the normal Lore Ability, representing how well-rounded of an education they have. After or before they reach the maximum of three dots they can buy seperate Specialties on different subjects (History, Political Theory, Mathematics, Economics, etc.) that stack up to three times to represent their specialties. A character that has Lore 1 (Mathematics x3) would be someone that was taught the basics, but then was only taught math. A character that has Lore 3 (Mathematics x1) would be someone who has a much more in-depth education, who put some effort into Mathematics.Using this for determining minimums for Charms and dice pool adding maximums would be tricky, but probably work something like having Lore 3 (Geography x3, Architecture x1) translating to having Lore 5 + 1 speciality for Geography based rolls, and Lore 4 for Architecture based rolls. You can learn any Lore Charms that require Lore 5 as a minimum from having the requirement met by the Geography specialty.I realize that as I type this out it's a crazy system that won't work.
>>98577629If they're unique enough, sure
>>98576756What about demons with reptilian features, like basically Dragonborn from DnD, anyone done anything with that? And what advice do you have for creating new demon types and/or Demon-Blooded PCs or NPCs?
>>98578591I don't know why you would need demons with draconic features, humanoid dragon kind already exist in Dragon Kings. Lizard/reptile beastmen exist as well. First Circle Demons with reptilian features do probably exist though.

>>98576756dunno if it counts but i ran a game in which the kukla (a greater elemental dragon) created a new dragon blooded line in his sleep to control his "power overwhelming" and insanity. (with a side effect that this line couldnt be controlled by the returned empress.)
>>98577848i remember making "game of divinity = starcraft" since first ed.
>>98579155a high quality recording is as addicting to an Exalt as it is to a god, Exalt or mortal. Gods are slightly more resistant to its effects. After you use it you roll Temperance (difficulty 2) to avoid using it the next day. Day after that you roll Temperance (dif 1). and this even without addiction rolls.Stamina + Integrity (dif 1 + number of times you've used the recording in the last month) is the addiction roll whenever you use it.So low Temperance can really screw youif you get addicted you have to spend Willpower or roll Conviction/Temperance to not do whatever it takes to get another view of itif you botch your addiction roll and you're not a god you basically sell your entire life, every else be damned, to re-experience a high quality recording.Sids don't get to go into the Jade Pleasure Dome so they can't see the Games without a recordingI doubt they did jack for the Games addiction in 3E
>>98579286Alchemicalbros…
>>98578046I don't think that system's crazy or unworkable, but it might be a better fit for some other game than Exalted. I think it's better if Exalts can just be omni-scholars with both broad and deep knowledge without investing in a bunch of different specialties. In a more grounded, mortal-ish level game I'd be all for something like your suggestion.
How easy are each of the Great Houses’ women?
>>98580738Ragara are easy to get in bed, but you'll somehow end up deep in debt if you sleep with themCynis aren't as easy as you'd think, because they hace access to top-tier sex slaves. They might try and find a way to make you one of those sex slaves if they really fancy you.Cathak are easy if you don't mi d getting pegged.Sesus don't care whether or not you mind getting pegged. Okay, maybe that's just the Sesus Chenow bloodline.Mnemon herself vets anyone who might fuck one of her House.Ledaal are too busy doing weird nerd shit to be seduced, and probably prefer masturbating to strange erotic fiction, anyways.Tepet will do you like Roseblack did that pirate.Nellens and V'Neef, I've got nothing.Peleps are perpetually wet but only like sailors. Anyone you sleep with might turn out to be an undercover Iselsi agent. Maybe they have all been undercover Iselsi agents.
>>98580834Nellens are almost pathetically eager, especially if you're a DB. V'Neef is more particular, they want high breeding people.
>>98577848>I don't remember the Games of Divinity being divinely addictive being a Inkmonkies thing or fan canon but the more I think about it it just might be. IIRC we even have stats for it and it's not even that hard to stop being addicted to.We have stats for dreams of the Games of Divinity in 1e Sidereals. It's actually ridiculously hard to get out of an addiction. So long as you're addicted anybody can automatically succeed at talking you into using the stone more. The base Difficulty on Stam+Res to get off the addiction is the number of times you've used it in the last month, and it's own effects make you want to use it every day, so a conservative estimate is base Difficulty 28, but could easily be many times higher. It decreases by one if you go off the stone, but they can just give you more to pump the number back up... The games themselves aren't statted as far as I'm aware, but direct exposure isn't supposed to be something you can resist as a human.
>>98579155>How addictive is the games to an exalted? It's mentioned that Sids actually see the Incarna quite a lot so maybe they just have some resistance? The Maidens of Fate do actual work. It's only the Unconquered Sun who turned his face from Creation. The Maidens are in the Loom of Fate daily spinning out thread for the pattern spiders to weave and handling hotspots.
I just take mechanics and adjacent lore from Exalted to run in my own setting because I can't be bothered to learn all that bullshit. And you cannot stop me.
>>98581612>I just take mechanics
It's barely canon compliant but I like the idea that Aspect Markings can make DBs look more like Dragons within the setting. I feel like having them have blue skin and elemental vestiges is cool and all, but I really like them having horns, elemental scales or a tail.
>>98581775I don't because it overlaps too much with beastmen, and I like my fantasy racism to be pretty clear-cut. There should be no space for lizardmen to go 'ackchooally this is my dragon tail and it's a better aspect marking than yours' when the Dragonblood call them animal fucking Anathema-worshippers. Yes, Dragonblooded with mutations are okay, but they should actually be mutations through beastman heritage, divine heritage, wyld influence, personal endeavors, etc. We get more than enough shit with so many kinds of Exalt looking too much like each other already.
Manosque Cyan is for SEXO
>>98580670Yeah I was considering a Savant Merit •• and ••••, which lets you take up to 4 dots and 5 dots, at the cost of less specialty dots.
>>98580670>>98583392Maybe make your Lore score your overall general culture knowledge and each odd dot gives you a free Specialty and/or counts your Lore rating as the higher between your Essence score and 5? That way you can have e.g. a wise old village elder who has a good breadth of general cultural knowledge (Lore 3) and at the same time has an almost perfect recall of his tribe's oral traditions (Lore 5 when remembering local legends or his native tribal customs, etc)
>>98578046Isn't easier to give, history, politics and economics to bureaucracy?
>>98583706Except for the last one, no. Bureaucracy, broadly speaking, is about logistics, finances and jurisprudence. Admittedly there's a bit of overlap in some areas of knowledge, between Lore and Bureaucracy.
>>98581125This seems rough for humans but any god, demon or exalted shouldn't have issues with it so long as they have even a small amount of Stamina and Resistance? It's also not resistant to effects that just flat out cure addiction. For non-magical people that's rough though, sure.
>>98581125>Difficulty 28,lol what??? If someone has the ability to play the game that much they'd be selling turns. A difficulty of four to seven for extreme cases seem way more likely. Also well. Exalted. fuck rolling when I can just cure it with the snap of my fingers. This background and text combination give me a literal headache and yet I'm compelled to write it all out so I can actually fucking see it. My eyes aren't so great I guess.
>>98581125Oh, not!Crack.>>98584259I think the difficult is the number of successes required to pass.
>>98582361Wouldn't it overlap with elemental blooded more than beastmen?
>>98584429Yup. Unless I'm missing something too. I need a nap so maybe.
>>98583989>Admittedly there's a bit of overlap in some areas of knowledge, between Lore and Bureaucracy.Yeah using Intelligence + (Lore or Bureaucracy) for knowledge of economics or local laws would be acceptable
>>98581125No I think to get off the addiction is the difficulty -1 that you failed to not get addictedSo if you used it for four days and failed the addiction roll on the fourth day, then your difficulty to break the addiction a week later would be DC4.Unless you have some cracked out bonuses I don't think you'd get to DC 28 for the addiction roll.
>>98585414I am so thankful for Exalted's nightmarishly obtuse, retardedly ass-backwards, braindead ruleset. While it makes the game a nightmare to play it also means it will never be infected by the AI cancer and so Exalted games will always be played by humans only.
Been following Jadestorm. Haven't gotten to the lore yet, and I won't be surprised to be underwhelmed, but mechanics wise its a massive step up from any edition of Exalted. On base math's, as well as how powers work.>One of the biggest is that powers must no longer be attribute themed, meaning you don't have to come up with 30-100 lame powers to fill up 25 niche categories. >Powers are largely split into edges (which covers the miscellany, basically merits), Sorcery (which functions like Exalted sorcery but everybody gets it, but needs to meet pre-requisites), and Chains (which are closer to charms).>Would describe it as heavier then Essence, but lighter then 1e.>Lack of exalted categories means you don't need the same power reprinted 5+ times but with a theme of Boring/Element/Animal/Death/Fate.
>>98585475>>One of the biggest is that powers must no longer be attribute themed, meaning you don't have to come up with 30-100 lame powers to fill up 25 niche categoriesTalking about it, from where they got this idea? From aberrant's mega attributes?
>>98584259>lol what??? If someone has the ability to play the game that much they'd be selling turns. A difficulty of four to seven for extreme cases seem way more likely. Also well. Exalted. fuck rolling when I can just cure it with the snap of my fingers. It's not how many times you play the game, it's how many times you view a dream of the games via dreamstone. Direct exposure is worse. Once a god plays the games they have dreams of it for the next few nights. Store one of the dreams in a dreamstone, and then show the dreams to others. That's where the addiction described >>98581125 comes from, people experiencing dreams of the Games of Divinity. A dreamstone can be re-used any number of time. The difficulty is 1+ the number of times someone's viewed it in the last month. Sleep with the dreamstone for a month and it's Difficulty 28.>>98585414>Every time a character uses one of these dreamstones, her player must make a Stamina + Resistance roll for the character with a difficulty equal to 1+ the number of times she has experienced this dream in the last month.>Every week after this roll is failed, the character's player can make another roll - the difficulty of each of these rolls is one less than the last roll. >Success on any of these rolls allows the character to overcome her addiction. However, if the character experiences this dream again, the cycle of addiction can begin again. It seems clear-cut. Every time you use a dreamstone you roll against addiction at Difficulty 1+ the number of times you've used it in the month. Dreamstones are used by having them with you when you sleep, so once per day is a pretty reasonable lowball estimate (actual addicts are likely to try power-napping to experience it more times). Once you're addicted, every week you get to roll Stam + Res against the base Difficulty minus however many weeks it's been since you got addicted - however, if you experience the dream again, the cycle begins again at full Difficulty.
>>98586013>however, if you experience the dream again, the cycle begins again at full DifficultySpecifically, because of the first clause that every time you use the dreamstone you roll against addiction at Difficulty 1+ the number of times you've used it in the month, then the weekly roll cascades from there. If you've gotten yourself addicted at Difficulty 20, gone sober for ten weeks, when you get the dreamstone again you'll be rolling against the addiction like normal (Difficulty 1+ the number of times used) and it'll start cascading down from there if you go sober again. The first roll occurs EVERY time you use the dreamstone, even if you're already addicted, and then the weekly rolls cascade from your high point.
>>98584733Scales, horns and tails? No, those definitely overlap more with beastmen.>>98585475I've heard mostly good things about Storypsth Ultra in general. I haven't seen or heard anything particularly interesting about Jadestorm, specifically, so far, though admittedly I've only got second-hand information to go on.
>>98586013>>98586021Anon, no. You're not going to be rolling against a 28 difficulty. At that point it'll just say it's impossible to not be addicted without magic. You're extrapolating some weird shit here.>>98585414This is pretty much how it works. It's just worded terrible is all. You can tell its the way it was meant to be because the numbers aren't actually fucking retarded.
>>98587475just a tl;dr unless 1e has a bunch of other things at difficulty 28 or whatever then it's probably not difficultly 28. tell what it is by looking at the other numbers and seeing if they match, ectect.
What's the best way to absorb the lore? Is there a specific overview piece, series of novels, or is reading through release order recommended?
>>98588005Unironically 1d6chan and tvtropes and then go into deep dives of whatever you find interesting. It's lowest-common-denominator collated information but it's a bunch of stuff that you can navigate by vibes.Getting EVERYTHING IN ORDER is lunacy. That also depends from the edition, tho
>>98588264>Unironically 1d6chan and tvtropesThis is the complete opposite of good advice.
>>985880052E's Compass of Terrestrial/Celestial Directions books are a good place to start1E's Manacle and Coin is an all-time great look into the setting as well, might be the bestSome of the stuff 3E added or changed from 1E/2E is too numinous for me, but it has interesting ideas in there too if you look at their setting books
>>985882831d6 chan is written by actual retards and is incredibly old. It's also incredibly wrong about everything. My suggestion is to just pick the books that you think have the coolest titles and going from there, just keep in mind what edition you're reading. I'm annoyed at how good Jadestorm looks compared to Exalted. It actually feels asian even though I know it's written by some white guy. I miss that - Exalted never really had anything comparable to IRL asian cultures for some reason.
>>98589389That's the firsst nice thing I've heatd, anyone say about Jadestorm, I think, though "it feels Asian" isn't really enough of a selling point to get me to look more deeply into it.
>>98589389Exalted has tons of Asian stuff in it though, it's just usually fused with other cultures
>>98589159>Its also so very oldIsn't it a point in its favor? Since it was written during the same 00s zeitgeist of the first 2 editions of Exalted itself. For example.https://youtube.com/watch?v=J7drvhZwPcs

>Chains are considered either simple or reflexive actions. With simple action Chains; the Chain’s impact is fully included within that action, for example, theRising Dragon FlameChain includes the necessary attack within the action. Reflexive Chains don’t do anything in and of themselves, instead, they essentially charge up any future actions that would benefit from the Chain. For example,Fist of the Western Windincludes no attack, but enhances all close combat actions for the scene.>Chains are formed from a series of links, all of which cost hits. The first link is the Chain’s base effect, and is achieved automatically by meeting the Chain’s difficulty, therefore it doesn’t have a listed hit cost. All other links have a defined hit cost and are purchased with the remaining hits, regardless of whether they were earned on the Chain activation action or subsequent Jade gambling (seeGambling Jadebelow). Some links can be purchased multiple times for the same hit cost; these are marked with theMulti-linktag. Links must be purchased in order, but a character needn’t fully complete the Chain and can stop at any point. The Chain breaker is always the final link of the Chain and requires all other links to be purchased first. They fused combos and charms together, this system reminds me of Promethean 2e's>>98590372Yes, 3e, for a strange reason even older artists do sub-par work for it, despite doing better work for other contemporary OP gamelines.
>>98588005Start with 2e Core as the book most likely to get you interested and engaged. Then head back to 1e and look through splats and supplements, stuff like Bastions of the North, Games of Divinity, and the Caste/Aspectbooks. The aim is to start you off strong with the most solid bets and get you invested/addicted, then afterwards you'll probably have heard about the hit-or-miss stuff like DotFA or the Compass of Celestial Directions books and can make up your own opinions.
Does gold have any value in creation? I only ever see mentions of silver and jade in the lore.
>>98590602Gold isn't used as backing for a currency like silver or jade is, but it is still very valuable in Creation.
>check jadestorm's thread over RPGnet.>People are calling it bland, discussing OP messed up release schedules and also noticed that it isn't really xianxia or wuxia.>in fact, it was called orientalist!Highlander.>and somebody said that the writers didn't use any consultation for Chinese culture.>Dawkers defended the game saying that "To clarify: the manuscript has only recently been completed and developed and we haven't been through the editing or consultancy process, so there's every likelihood we will hire one. Right now, we want to see how the game lands."The overuse of jade as a terminology was telling.
>>98590626The lack of consultation for chinese cultures is a big one if they actually have the money to ask someone from china or whatever. I don't mind this "oriantilism" if asian people aren't all "this is racist as hell man" like they are with kote.
>>98590626Oh shit, people are finally talking about Jadestorm? I don't give a shit about >muh orientalismBut yeah, it isn't really xianxia or wuxia. It comes across like they just threw a bunch of ideas they thought was cool like golem people or a stealth-based fighting style into a blender with the flimsiest of connections. And tacked it onto a game that is fundamentally just Exalted but only the Infernal Exalted exist. Is the art AI generated, by the way? Certainly looks that way.
I thought it looked cool and now I feel weird. Thanks everyone.
>>98590928I have literally never met an asian person who cares about "muh orientalism", and I am one. Nobody has ever taken offence to Kung Fu Panda. Nobody has ever made fun of Jackie Chan or Bruce Lee for hamming it up in a big movie. You are far more likely to offend the Chinese by portraying an ugly female character as central to the narrative (rather than an acceptable role like villain, comedic relief, fussy background character etc) than you are by making everyone in Raya and the Last Dragon not speak accurate Vietnamese or whatever nonsense the whities think matters over here.
>>98591104Don't worry about it, I'm mainly following the game out of morbid curiosity for how shamelessly they will write the Infernal expies. The "evil" faction comes across a lot like the Cult of the Illuminated, but for Infernals instead of Solars.
>>98591111If we can talk about it seriously then kindred of the east had some weird shit about asian souls and their culture that apparently comes across as gross/know it all-y. This is coming from asian people I've gossiped with. I'm fine with whatever but if it's all wrong then what's the point.I feel like you'd have less to worry about if you just had someone from china who went to school. Or someone who studied whatever culture. Something like that. Maybe I'm wrong. If this makes sense I don't want an Avatar the Last Airbender type of chinese. I want chinese chinese.
>>98591134You're not going to get Chinese Chinese from American writers working for an American company.
>>98591134Yeah I definitely don't get it because I love Avatar: The Last Airbender, everyone with the same ethnicity I know loves it, I have literally never heard a fucking complaint about it. I am fine with Kindred of the East too, worst I can say about it is that it's kinda silly with just how over the top grimdark it gets. If you're not bullshitting, then fair play. We're all anecdotal on the internet. But for me, and everyone I've ever brought it up with, listening to white people cry about orientalism is like listening to Deceivers in Nobilis wring their hands over how you need to take off all your shit and embrace the True Thing. As someone born in China and moved around multiple provinces, in the rare occasions I can get anyone to talk about TTRPGs at all it's just>Yeah! Wuxia magic! And people move on with their lives. I mean seriously, does OPP think GACHA GAMES piss off the chinese with their inaccurate mythological/cultural references, and not cuckshit? Because gacha games are bigger financially, and thus in terms of asian exposure, than TTRPGs will ever be. I don't like it, mind. I'm just using it as an example of inaccurate chinese culture for the chinese, by the chinese, that has not AFAIK resulted in the chinese crying about Fate Qin Shi Huang being some kind of androgynous mercury-bending ultimate lifeform.
>>98591134Actually, shounen anime would be a much better example. Let me try to put it this way: The logic of orientalism sensivity would imply that the countries I've lived in hate Dragon Ball because Goku has several notable differences from Sun Wukong.I assure you, this is not the case.
>>98591218>Yeah I definitely don't get it because I love Avatar: The Last Airbender, everyone with the same ethnicity I know loves it, I have literally never heard a fucking complaint about it.Growing up my mother said it was filled with trashy versions of Chinese myths. Then again she pretty much banned any sort of program that didn't have something to do with education, so I think she was looking for an excuse.
>>98591240See, THAT sounds more familiar to the Chinese experience. Small mercy mine doesn't even fucking know to this day what a TTRPG is, I suppose. God knows she'd try to start a second Satanic Panic upon learning about D&D.
>>98590626/r/LeopardsAteMyFace, very little sympathy that the same people who shit their pants about cultural appropriation now have to accept the chains they put on themselves.Either way, people seem to pretend like the world is the 1970s and that nothing has changed between then and now. China is the second most powerful nation on earth and it has an immense cultural output across the world and the Anglosphere despite the language and cultural ancestry being completely foreign. There are probably a billion Wuxia/Xianxia stories, games and tabletops that have enough popularity and enough voice that it's probably not the end of the world for a Brit to do his own take on things.
>>98591366In this case, it is more "it isn't the 90s anymore", people have all of the world's information at their hands, and like you said, xianxia and wuxia are more accessible, so people noticed how jadestorm doesn't really work like either.
>>98591222Dragon Ball started as a comedy, it never took itself as seriously as WW/OP did, whose writers aways boasted themselves as champions of diversity and cultures.
Gang, we should all strive to be like the enlightened oriental cultures. As we all know, they are EXTREMELY respectful of real world cultures. Especially those that are not its own!If informed of inaccuracy the kingdoms of the east SCRAMBLE to fix things.>I remember when King Arthur was fucked in the ass to be sustained spiritually.>Remember when Drifters was downright blasphemous to Christians by claiming Jesus actively never forgave man and wanted them exterminated instead? Why the author got to work throwing out his entire manuscript and re-did it from scratch.>The modern audience can't handle imaginationAs an aside, while OP dies by the sword it lived by, i'm sorta saddened by that. Jadeborn was looking to be the Exalted without the garbage baggage I was looking for. Now its gonna be put through a wringer of fucking cultural sensitivity readers.
>>98592144>Despite their posturing.>White Wolf is comparable to porn/otaku visual novels.Anon... there's a reason for why it took until KnY for ufotable break into the japanese mainstream
>>98592231I fuckin dont like FATE.Im saying cultural sensitivity reading has always been a racket.Jadestorm looked like fun shlock. Give it a 90s anime artstyle and you got a vaugely 90s manga setup.Thats sorta what I wanted from Exalted before it got mired in WW navel gazing miseryporn.
>>98592144>Drifters was downright blasphemous to ChristiansIronically enough, for this argument to hold water, White Wolf would have to renegade their own god (A.K.A. Moorcock), which is the thing that you actually wants.>>98592284>Thats sorta what I wanted from Exalted before it got mired in WW navel gazing miseryporn.Bonus irony, a cultural consultant would actually tone down the navel gazing, and fix the whole white wolfian "you risk your dantian to cast spells".
>>98592334>Bonus irony, a cultural consultant would actually tone down the navel gazing, and fix the whole white wolfian "you risk your dantian to cast spellsYou’re genuinely retarded if you think so. Its a job for half-chinese people to assuage their insecurity.
>>98592231>Anon... there's a reason for why it took until KnY for ufotable break into the japanese mainstreamdelusional
>>98592547>You’re genuinely retarded if you think so. Its a job for half-chinese people to assuage their insecurity.>Actual Taoism: if you make 100 women orgasm without you yourself ejaculating, you will react immortality.>WWOP: you need to risk sacrificing all of your dantian to cast a spell.>>98592580There's a different between otaku and normalfags, KnY success even caused power imbalances among the singers.
>>98592580Not that anon. I don't know FATE very well, but it was pretty popular in Japan no?Multiple series, videogames, etc. This might not be Detective Conan mainstream, but that' much more then anything White Wolf ever achieved, iregardless of sensitivity readers.
>>98592630>>Actual Taoism: if you make 100 women orgasm without you yourself ejaculating, you will react immortality.>>WWOP: you need to risk sacrificing all of your dantian to cast a spell. You are under the impression cultural sensitivity readers have anything to do with actual culture. That's why I'm calling you retarded.>The Wise guys say that if I don't give them 1,000 dollars this week, somethings gonna happen to my store!>Well they are called wise guys, so clearly they have wisdom related to this topic.
>>98592641Yes, Fate/Stay Night is the most successful visual novel of all time.
