Well I did win tonight thought it felt more like a comedy of errors than me doing much. Through a Satoru Umezawa's nuclear bomb Trench Gorger with a stolen Terror of the Peaks where none of the 32 damage swings got pointed toward me. The most notable thing about the game was just watching the 5 color goodstuff player rage-leave the store after being lethaled. I thought a legacy player would be immune to salt but he was not pleased.I did cut the Aurora Awakener in this list however. It's way, way too easy to just win the game on the spot with him. He can play out the entire deck with a bit of luck, and while the avenue to win is via saga creatures it can lead to tedious 10 minute turns.

I'm still fairly new to Commander, and have been playing at my LGS' monthly event at a local brewery. I play a lot of unga bunga bracket 2 & 3, and I have to ask:How do you deal with combo players? I don't mean like. Synergistic decks. I mean the guy who keeps a small boardstate, keeps open mana, doesn't really commit and lets the game be functionally a 3v3 until he has the tools in hand to win.My problem is less that he does this, and more that like. It's happened to me a few times now, and feels very anticlimactic. So, as a result, whenever I see a guy doing that in my pod, I'll swing into him until he's dead. Not with all my creatures all the time, but every turn I'm reducing his life total by a chunk. And every time I do this, no matter who it is, they always complain that I'm targeting them, or they don't have much and it's unfair and I should leave them alone. I don't want to say it's every deck with blue in the identity, either, but it's ALWAYS a deck with blue in the identity.

>>98589649Are you using Magic Set Editor? I take the card images from those and export them onto my computer, then I put them through an AI upscaler. It doesn't matter how much you do, it's just got to be enough so that it doesn't trigger the low resolution thing on MPC anymore. I usually just enter in 1488 into the width and then at some point during this process I've removed those white curved corners on the card image, likely through another layer of black just scribbled over it so that I can swap them fast, and I save a final image of the card with another layer of just black underneath it, scaled about 110% larger than the actual card image so that there's a bunch of black coming from the card. Right now I see the scale I'm using is 109.24% of the card, I'm hoping these ones I'm waiting on now come out with a little less empty space than the last time I ordered custom cards in the normal frame. Special care is needed for full art cards for there to be anything but a bunch of black lines when their bleed areas are stepped into but that's just if you don't trust their centering to always be perfect, which for a whole Commander deck I certainly don't.
