The plot sucked ass, holy shit.
Chestnut B plot was literally just the coagulators plot but more retarded and added pedophile jokes. Could have just cut out 90% of it and the episode would not change. They straight up don't know what to do with chestnut as a character.

The last fight was good, and the random guardsmen equivalent having no context other than a prayer is alright.
Rest of it is meh.

Pretty much. They built up the captain not being able to do teamwork and hogging all relics, but that arc fell flat. Sure Grimboar was killed by teamwork, but it didn't feel like captain caused it, or learned his lesson. Chestnut stole the spotlight to repeat a character arc he went through in a earlier episode.
>>
>>98599042
Exactly. This should have been a captain-focused episode like The Imaginator was for Bryce. It would have been completely fine for Chestnut to just be absent for most of the run time, only to show up at the end helping with the Titan ritual. Or have Captain come beg him to revive Bryce and Hatemonger once he realizes he can't fight alone.

High-Rapist Techpriest also way overstayed his welcome, since he only had one joke.

>>
>>98601257
It's a question of familiarity. You will assume that circumcised ones are "normal" if that's all you're exposed to.

>>98601268
Hygiene might be how circumcision is "sold" these days, but it started because of the Kellogg brothers (yes, of the cereal fame). The brother who invented the cereal was trying to make the blandest possible yet still nutritious meal, becase he wanted to deny people the pleasure of eating (so they wouldn't slide into sin of gluttony via excess). He didn't actually want to sell the cereal but his brother convinced him. Then he used his newfound wealth to push the notion of circumcision being the "right" thing to do, because it would remove the pleasure of sexual acts and prevent men from sin via lustful excess.
>>
>>98601475
That's wild. I'm intact and have been able to nofap for quite a while now.

>>
>>98601475
>It's a question of familiarity
Don't american (and canadian ?) women know that the greater part of the western world outside of the US do not practice circumcision ? That it is only really practiced by Jews and Muslims outside the US ? And with the growing numbers of Latinos and other immigrants in the US, isn't it becoming common kowledge ?
>>
>>98601534
I live in Los Angeles where there's a heavy Hispanic population, and only one woman commented on me being uncut, but she was going to college from out of state, so I guess she just didn't get the memo. I imagine American women whoring it up overseas also quickly learn to get over it.
>>
>>98601534
>growing numbers of Latinos and other immigrants
Please understand that immigrants enter the US society at the bottom. They generally settle in enthnically/culturally homogenous groups/locales. The older generations, who often only speak enough English to get by, generally stay within the circle of services provided by the culture/language community. The idea is that you come to the US and suffer (though the suffering might be better than the life you left behind), but your kids get to grow up American. Those kids are going to be exposed to the American society at large via schooling, then get into college (with the blood/sweat/tears of their parents) to obtain a "good" (well paying) "American" (white collar) "job" (career, actually) instead of being forced into manual labor like their parents.

In short, it's the kids who are going to get integrated into American society, not the immigrant parents. And the kids will want to be as American as possible. Their (parents') culture will be a suffix appended to them: "[X] American" where X is their ethnicity or geographic region of origin. Any oddity or deviation from the American norm can be ascribed to "well you know their folks are from X" like an excuse for why they're not normal.

Outside of large cities, you're not getting a "melting pot" effect where everyone's cultures mix and change due to affecting each other. You're getting a drop of immigrant in a sea of "American" which is put under enormous pressure to conform and dilute itself.

If you want to wait a year for every episode, sure. They got too ambitious and took way too long on a mediocre (by their own mid standards) script. The Christmas episode that they made on short notice to replace this in the original schedule was genuinely better. They should stick with that, keep up a regular pace of releases, and maybe make some money on the show instead of side projects and second channel slop.

Yeah this just seemed gratuitous, and like a side mission rick and morty action episode that goes nowhere, just runs along some track and has the main characters smashing shit and blowing shit up.

This whole series is just the same joke over and over, yeah, it’s a men’s fantasy for men who are men and like manly things. It’s essentially mocking the hobby because these commies hate men. I guess maybe the giant ballsack they molested the guy with for far too long might be a plot thing, but literally besides that inane shit there was nothing. They really need to do something interesting with this, but I feel like the kickstarter game is their big cash out for when interest inevitably crashes after another 0 to 3 episodes.

The 1st episode is weak, especially the third act. It's really the second episode that stands out, and even then the 40K parody jibes fall flat if you don't know that all the chapters have overdone themes like wolves or blood or being secretive.
>>

>>98603702
Whatever the means, it's probably not lost technology. Because otherwise why would the kid we watch transform in the pilot need a psycho-pilgrimage? (You can't say it's a necessary part of the revival process because none of the other revivals have it.) It must only be necessary for fresh globules. (Maybe they just have a massive fresh stash?)

Some (very important!!!!!) options for the globule sourcing question:
>boy balls are saved, and are somehow converted into globules. (They can retain their memories to make the setting less grim-dark?) This seems to make sense with boys being in greater demand than globules.
>if a boy hits puberty in an excessively feminized/alien/gay environment, his balls go into hyper-drive to compensate. His rampage of destruction eventually forces his home planet to beg Psycho-Warriors to get rid of the problem by recruiting him. Only the gayest of societies (blappers) cause Globulus Maximus.

I don't think you get that "melting pot" never worked. In theory it's supposed to go both ways. The immigrant and the local stew together and you get an amalgamation. But what actually happened was that immigrants stewed together due to proximity and necessity. Locals didn't need to interact with immigrants unless they were poor, and the poor Americans didn't determine or drive culture (unless their ways were adopted for the benefit of the rich, like blues/jazz music for example).

So there's a dominant American culture (several flavors, actually) that absorbs immigrants without changing (in significant, meaningful ways). Immigrants either fully assimilate (not the first generation, but their kids), or stay in communities that maintain an identity via segregation (often started by the society at large, like Chinatowns 100+ years ago, but continued by the community on their own).

Consider, for example, the Italians. 100 years ago, "not white enough" to be American, segregated, kept away from jobs, even lynched. Now, integrated. But what part of their culture has been adopted by the Americans themselves? Pizza (which isn't made the same way in Italy)? The mob (which isn't necessary for community preservation any more)? Columbus Day (which is more East Coast and gets pushback from the indigenous out west)? The ways in which American culture changed by the addition of Italians are nowhere nearly as profound as the ways in which Italians changed into "Italian Americans."

You know a lot of hospitals do that without even telling parents, right? Doctors don't even think someone might object to the procedure. That's the "normal" I'm talking about.

In case of South Korea and Philippines it came with US occupation.
In case of South Korea specifically, women started to support circumcision out of hatred of men instead of religion or "uhhhh it looks weird!!!".

It's the very first scene, cretin.

Most of what I enjoy about Space King episodes is just the straight up warhammer content. Mega huge robots, mega huge floating train powered by choir, WAR WORLD, brutal dudes in armor fighting.
I think the base premise of the show and it's satire in combination with the boy balls joke is completely and utterly lost on me.

I think it's funny to play on geneseed and the concept of multiple parents like that. The fact they're kidnapped as children, like aspirants, plays into it well too.

I hear other people say the Christmas episode was their least favourite.
It's neat that people who like the show already have divergent opinions on what episodes are the best.

Yeah, I'm getting tired of having to excuse shows for having a lame pilot episode. Its become the norm to expect but its bullshit.
Have a good opening episode, that's the entire basis for getting people to watch your fucking show. That everyone has decided its normal for the opener to be bad is pathetic, up there with needing to watch 10+ episodes of a show before it gets good. Fuck off with that.
But yes, Space King will in all likelihood entirely miss anyone who isn't a millennial 40k fan of some variety.
