I would ordinarily think this is really petty, and toward anyone else I wouldn’t think they care for my opinion or basic attention, but this is the second time you’ve bitched, so I just want to say I’ve seen your posts, but haven’t once opened up the image to see your models up close or replied to you about them, and its not because I don’t like models or model posters, in fact, I make it a point to reply and compliment any model post I see, and its not because your models might be badly painted, its purely because its custodes. they’re fucking BORING. lore, gameplay, models, paintjob literally everything about them is a snoozefest, and its only made slightly worse by them having women now so some retards buy them to “own le chuds”. you clearly crave any attention for your good effort, so take the effort and use that money you saved buying a shit army to buy an actual good army (anything other than custodes).

I'm actually quite excited about the crashed thunderhawk. It's probably gonna be overpriced as hell but this is the kind of terrain the game needs. Varied and thematic, not just a bunch of ruins. It's probably not gonna be enough for a whole board but it's easy to mix with some jungle terrain or some desert rocks. Or even some printed titan parts for a battlefield graveyard board.
>>
>>98602700
It's four pieces, of course it's not for a whole board.
>>
>>98602700
I wonder what the sprues for the new intercessors will look like. GW often adds in bunch of detail options into those that they just don't show off for some weird reason.
They did that with the Sternguard multipart kit, the images of the models use the most bland looking shin plates, etc. Even though there are ones with nice details in the kit.
>>
>>98602655

Nice for a diorama, but the standalone pieces are a lot better. You can still integrate them into a diorama with a bit of work and you can just put them on top of a mat for regular games.
>>
>>98602706
Unless they are hiding actual different mark pieces in the sprues (they aren't) and hiding some special weapons for the squad (they aren't) I don't see any reason to be excited about it. Even tormentors get a couple of plasmas or meltas and can build the melee version out of the box.

It was from the era when GW sold tables in square sections. You could play a tiny game on it, but for regular battles you'd assemble it with others.

Custodes codex and combat patrol are out of the gw page so I guess they're third after marines. Tau 4th.

>>
>>98602881
Aggressors being as bad as centurions is because of gravis armor. Gravis armor is basically primaris centurions and it looks just as terrible. The big problem with centurions is that they're huge and greebly, making the models look suffocated, and you can apply all of that to anything gravis, inceptors, grav tanks, and JPIs. Tbf firestrikes and invictors don't have that problem but they're just retarded in their own special needs way

Every single upscaled marine has had the exact same proportions since the release of the DW veterans and thousand sons kits in 2016. The upper body is the exact same size as the classic marines, helmets a bit smaller, mainly because they made the ears a lot smaller, making the heads less wide. Probably like they did with the tactical squad box. The one that got discontinued was the second iteration of a nearly identical kit, but with more weapon options and more head and powerpack variants.

Nah, this sort of shit is old. Pretty sure I was bitching about retarded GW corporate practices back then and much of the stuff I liked had already been shit to death by corporate. Off the top of my head; warcraft as a setting, C&C, AvP, etc. 2012 marked an uptick, but it wss shit before then too.

It costs just as much to design and produce a one model kit as a 10 model kit. Shipping and warehousing is cheaper because the box is smaller, but not 1/10th.

I just don't buy character models. It's cheaper ad more fun to kitbash something unique.

From GW's perspective, people only buy the character model once, so in order to squeeze as much as they can out of the product they price it higher compared to one that people are expected to purchase multiple times.
>>
>>98603202
GW makes money selling multiple generic infantry boxes, and they want to milk as much money as they can from selling fewer characters kits. It makes perfect sense.

>>
>>98603233
Why would they change intercessors when they could release a new primaris space marine box for a mixed special weapons unit?
>>
>>98603226
I've always wondered if dual-build kits are better for GWs bottom line or not than making two separate kits. Because on the one hand it makes production of that one kit more expensive because of all the interchangeable parts, but on the other hand they only need to make one set of molds and space for one box product
My guess is it probably evens out and they just do it whenever they think it's a good idea for the unit in question
>>
>>98603233
Even if they were you would whine about something else, because you want to whine more than you want marines that fit your standards.
>>
>>98603240
Indeed, it's almost like making the 11th edition battleline for marines intercessors with new hats was entirely retarded, and a squandering of the opportunity to make upscaled tacticals.
>>
>>98603236
>combat patrol premium box
which one that is?
>>
>>98603249
It seems like such an easy slam dunk that I don't understand why they wouldn't just do it.
>>
>>98603189
I was 36.
>>
>>98603245
It depends mostly on how bulky the kit winds up being and whether it will fit in a standard sized box. The cost of design, production, shipping and warehousing is identical for a multi-purpose kit like infiltrators/incursors as it is for sword brethren. If removing options get more boxes into a shipping container you cut the fat.
>>
>>98603245
I don't think it's that much more expensive. It's just a few interchangeable pieces on the same sprue a lot of times, and I think it's mostly larger centerpiece models that do that like knights, greater demons, and tanks which means they can artificially jack up the price for a 'premium' piece. But my guess is that it's mainly for SKU reasons. It's less boxes taking up the shelves but fulfilling multiple profiles.

I mean their tank, not yours.
Though, the Falcon doesn't always survive the retaliation. It's medium-squishy.
If you need one specific tank or monstrous creature to vanish in a turn, and are willing to make the better trade, it's a strategy that has been around since forever. And before that, you take advantage of all the heavy weapons on the falcon to pick off models while you wait for the best time to bring it to bear.
If it's something in the backline that has no support, you can even go on a spree for another couple turns.

Honestly, a Falcon isn't that expensive, and can have solid firepower for its price. Even if you're not dropping something off, and have points to spare, it's a decent use for spare points.

I find it funny that everyone plays the first Space Marine legions/chapters EXCEPT Imperial Fists. You see every chapter that spawned from Imperial Fists like Black Templars, Crimson Fists, Celestial Lions, etc INSTEAD of Imperial Fists. Why is that exactly? Let me guess:
>MUH FUCKING YELLOW
>>
>>98603825
It's because Fists are just boring, they have nothing special going for them, they're the most vanilla of vanilla. Even Ultramarines are more unique than they are, with the Roman stuff going on and shit like Honour Guard and such.
>>
>>98603825
They’re boring.
>>
>>98603825

>>
>>98603825

because the imperial fists themselves have no personality, just like their fans, who chose them out of contrarianism

>Marines are one of the last armies I'm interested in now. I was split before, but tacticals getting squatted with no replacement was the final straw.
This is the denial stage of grief.
>>
>>98603491
Rules as written you CAN have an "Imperial Agents" army, which means you can take a handful of inquisitors, and your troop options are sisters, GK, DW, inquisitorial agents, voismen, navy breachers and cops.
It is the worst army in the game by a landslide because it's designed to be the dumping ground for units you're allowed to take a handful of in other armies.
so yeah, mostly you're supposed to take one inquisitor in your space marine or custodes army, but if you REALLY want to, you can have an inquisition army.
>>
>>98603825
Every single first-founding chapter is more boring than its successors, and this is most quickly seen with IFs and BTs. And if you do really like the original "coffee with no cream or sugar" feeling of IFs, crimson fists are right next door, have an old-school charm, and don't require you to paint yellow.

I like Imperial Fists in theory because I like that they're mostly the baseline codex chapter but have an emphasis on defense. It's a cool idea but at the end of the day they have like two characters and that's it. Ultras are also the baseline codex chapter but they have a unique bladeguard unit and several more characters.

I spent a lot of time deciding, since I like Raven Guard, Imperial Fists, Crimson Fists, Ultras, and I also considered making my own custom chapter that matches the paint scheme of my SoB like they were from the same planet, but I eventually ended up with Ultras since they really are a good looking classic paint scheme and you don't need to reinvent the wheel. Ultras do just look good, and the yellow of Fists is not only harder to paint but it doesn't look as good in my opinion. I did a few test Fists models and didn't like it as much.

In some sort of weird reverse-contrarianism, I actually really enjoy the baseline stuff in games. The human fighter of armies.

>Painting yellow sucks
>They dont have any stand out characters anymore
>They dont really fucking DO anything in lore anymore
>Their main Ghimick is not even viable on the table top.
Problem with IF is that they are always portrayed as the defensive fortification holding legion/chapter that is all about digging in and fighting from a fortified position.
Wanna know what does not fucking work on the table top? That.
Also they dont have any unique cool units like BA,DA or SW.
They are some how the most bland fucking space marine chapter despite not being ultra marines.

UM are better for tacticians and logistics.
Fists could be about stoic/cold/unwaveri- wait that's DAs.
Then they could be cold calculation about data and figuring out the best tactic strategy and adapting in the middle of- That's IH and a bit RG.

Maybe Imperial Fists could be about reinforcements and garrissons across the imperium, spread around and a supporting chapter, then? Great at working with others since they are both adaptable and beyond reproach (defended the imperial palace).
They may not be the protagonist, but they are the super sidekick that you can always depend on.

Like i said before the problem with IF, is that their Main MO, Fighting from fortifications, is not a viable way to play modern 40k so no one wants to play them.

>>

Not really, they're scattered warbands who mostly act as space pirates now, that's why they have to pad out their numbers with summoned daemons and cultists. There's only been a few times that they've gone out in warbands of thousands, and those are all like Black Crusades and Blood Tides.

>>98604064
>So to conquer a planet you send in like 100 marines? Doesn't sound right to me
I mean that is, absolutely, lore accurate.

Here is the thing that a lot of space marine fans and fans of the HH legions dont like to hear. The Imperial army was actually the heavy lifters of the great crusade and most of the fighting in 40k.

Space marines are shock troopers and spear tips, they are not whole ass frontal assalt armies like they kinda were in the great crusade.

100 marines could topple a world because they send them into capture and take over key infersturacture and strategic assets.
10 space marines could knock out the power grid, another 20 could assault key facilities for supplies and space ports, another group coudl go in for the kill against leaders ect ect. Thats how space mariners operate

Its imperial army that do the front line grunt meat grinder.

>100 marines could topple a world
100 marines could topple SOME worlds. If there's an actual total war in the planet 100 marines are basically nothing. Just look at Armageddon that needs 30 chapters to even move the frontlines. If it's something like Vraks where the whole planet is really just a single fortification, then sure, you send a taskforce of Dark Angels to blow up some bridges and take a space port and you might fuck over the planet so much it can't really sustain its rebellion.
>>
>>98604088

The lore around Red Corsairs says their numbers in particular are comparable to a pre-Heresy legion, which is far larger than a current-time loyalist chapter.
This is only one group of the whole under CSM, but they in particular clearly have the numbers, unless GW has forgotten their own setting again (very likely).
>>98604056
GW doesn't understand second-order effects.

They listen to SM players complain that their units don't feel elite or tanky enough, and then build a data sheet that makes them tankier and more elite. They don't consider that all players cater their armies to be able to easily fight their strongest opponents (who are often marines), thus making the whole thing a race to the bottom (or top, I guess, since it's numbers going upwards?) to keep up with the baseline marine.

In other words, GW builds datasheets like 50% of players are playing guard, not marines.
>>
>>98604086
Really depends. Also it's a fact to consider that marines during the crusade didn't work alone, they were embeded in fleets with a fuckton of imperial armymen to clean up and hold whatever the marines blew up.
>>
>>98604095
Yeah, but Armageddon was the exception not the rule.

Space marines were designed as shock troopers, vanguard, and spear tips, and that is how they operated through out the great crusade and even most of 40k. There are unique theaters of war which break that operation and turn them into a front line fighting force, but that typically also is summoning the entire chapter.

Armagedon for exmaple was due to how important it was for the imperium and the forces that were going up against it
>>
>>98604102
Marinefags don't like to hear this but most of the Great Crusade was handled by the Titan Legions, they were just the back-up for places Titans couldn't go.
>>
>>98604056

Problem for horde armies right now is that it looks like blast weapons are all going to be absolutely cracked. "If everyone is brining low attack, high S, high AP, 2D weapons, my horde army will overrun them!!!" And then the horde army gets obliterated by one cheapish unit with a blast profile.
>>
>>98604103
Armageddon is an exception yes and the third war was the biggest concentration of imperial might since the heresy, but the point still stands. An actual total war covering a planet can't be won by just a company of marines. You need an actual army to back them up and even then just those marines might not be enough. Marines are shock troops to deal heavy blows to vital objectives, they can't win an actual land war of conquest.
>>
>>98604108
>By titan legions
No, it was handled mostly by the imperial army, titan legions only showed up if shit was really bad, moving them bitches across the stars sucked.
>>
>>98604108
Titans are cool though.
>>
>>98604115
Yeah, but there are a far more worlds that are not total war operations in the 40k setting. The imperium is made up of thousands of worlds, not every one takes the fighting to what happened on armagedon.

So again, realistically yes, about 100 marines could overthrow a planet with imperial army regiments being the bulk of the fighting force and space marines being the shock troopers/vanguard.

>near-perfect STC
It spews tons of rads like it's trying to kill its user. Also, this assumes STCs are a constant thing or that missing pieces don't make a big and important part of aesthetic differences. For some writers, STCs aren't blueprints but tools to design blueprints for any situation for different environments, thus unlikely any two blueprints are completely identical save level of damage or convergent evolution. The Van Saar armor is doubtlessly an imperfect design.

gonna go with just a riptide to start because i imagine since it’s large itd be easier to start on than a normal sized figure and so i can put money into getting all the paints and supplies and stuff and then pick up other units over the next few weeks as i work on fleshing out my army (and painting)
>>
>>98604112
It means that horde armies are no longer bringing their hordes, they're spamming whatever vehicles/monsters they have instead that can also tank the "elite" armies' infantry fire to have a chance on the field. You don't even need blast profile weapons, horde units just aren't worth it to bring. These changes have done the opposite of what GW intended so far.

And it is, that's why it's STANDARD TEMPLATE Construct. STANDARD. TEMPLATE.

Even votann shit is congruent with the established design language of STC. The man of iron robot masquarading as an imperial automata also falls into the same design, while sitting at the opposite of the spectrum from the votanns.

It is easier to assume the van saar design just did its own thing, rather than bend the entirety of what has been established instead.

Yeah, that's why I think Dorn could actually be the next Primarch
Especially since Black Templars are one of the big Chapters with an unique model range. And Crimson Fists are popular too.
Dorn will come back and activate Last Wall. No matter if you play as Imperial/Crimson Fists, Black Templars, fucking Retributors etc you will be able to use him. I'd say even this box hinted at it. This HAS to happen since locking Dorn to irrelevant Imperial Fists nobody plays would be retarded. And locking him to Black Templars cucks Imperial Fists to an insane degree. Legitimately, IFags would never recover from this.
Making Primarch for irrelevant Chapters would be extremely wasteful. They had a chance to bring back Russ during Wolf refresh and intentionally missed it.
It will be Dorn

>>
>>98604373
I don't really have strong emotions on it, I like the models but I also recognized that GW was playing with fire. They used lore to justify a decade long process of upscaling the miniatures, they wanted to find a way you could have big marines and little squat marines on the table without breaking fan immersion.

It really doesn't help that the first two waves of primaris were very tacticool and we didn't really see any of the grimdark reinfused into the primaris refresh until 9th ed. When you look at the models 10 years later they don't seem so bad, some of the best sculpts that GW have ever done are coming out now and people aren't complaining about them- Black templars, dark angels and space wolves refreshes were well received.

Unless White Scars get an unique model range, I find bringing Primarch for them to pointless. What would that achieve? Bringing Khan would not encourage anyone to spend money on White Scars models, since those do not exists. And of all Chapters, I don't believe they would be next to get fleshed out

Honestly that meme about bringing back Khan as Deldar Grotesque would make more sense. Could tie into 12th Edition narrative and be a massive marketing campaign, with self sustaining happening in fanbase, youtubers spamming videos like insane etc. Borderline second Fall of Cadia

Both of those were set to come back since their respective 2nd edition codexes. 7 loyalist SM factions and 5 CSM factions have their own product lines.

of those 12 factions, 7 of them have a primarch or a primarch equivalent like abaddon

This is why I believe that we will see sanguinius or russ return next. That was the year they reset the rules completely for the first time in 20 years and the entire online store sold out of practically every box of every unit of every faction. Primaris were a drop in the bucket. They also learned to actually advertise again and do social media, they brough back Necromunda which sold like crazy, they rode that general momentum into the COVID lockdowns where suddenly a million more people got into 40k so they had a hobby to do while stuck at home which caused another huge boost.

At no point was any of this due to marines getting redone with trashier shittier armour and vehicles.

>>

If none of that shit is selling HH despite the advertizing, why would it sell in 40k?
>>
If gw keep releasing more primaris shit it might raise enough money for a deldar refresh
>>
>>98604605
Ok? feels like we're arguing about different things.
They didn't have models or a proper introduction into the actual 40k, any and all decision to bring something forward has to do with that, the fluff literally does not matter and will get retconned or tweaked accordingly like it's been done before to turn the primarchs from dead to missing or potentially capable of coming back from the death one asspull or another.
GW couldn't give less of a rat ass about the fact the khan and raven have never died, for example, they don't plan on giving shit to their chapters so they never come back even if they're more lore friendly than, say, sanguinius.
>>
>>98604640

I am not sure how they would give BA a primarch equivalent model, I was kind of hoping that they would give the sanguinor that role but it didn't really shake out that way.

Blood angels have a lot of lore about blood memories, maybe sanguinius is reborn through his own blood or the blood of his chapter? it's been 10 years since ka'bandha was mentioned. I think if he did come to the tabletop the only way would be to have him come back for round 3 against the bloodthirster (khorne daemons are past due for a range refresh anyways)

>40k itself is just mirror matches since 65% of the playerbase owns marines.
This is a meme from people like you who only talk about 40k online but don't go outside and don't actually play it with people.
65% of people owning marines doesn't mean 65% of people are playing marines in games or have them as a main army. Most of those people play another army and just own some marine models on the side because GW shoves them in every single starter set and versus box ever. If you play Necrons or Nids or Orks congrats you are part of the 65% of people with Marines now because you bought Indomitus or Leviathan or Armageddon, and not everyone can be assed to sell off that extra half of models so they usually sit in a backlog or maybe even get built and painted but most of that players money then goes to expanding their aliens half of Crons or Nids or what have you. Go to any LGS and you will see there are very few Marine vs Marine games. Every faction is always represented at the larger stores.

last weekend there were 980 players on BCP tracked events, which includes every single BCP tracked game played

There were ~400 Space Marine players and +59 Custodes players, so if you're lumping Golden space marines in with Space marines, about half the field is spacemarines

Half the factions in the game are going to effectively get +1 to wound and -1 to be wounded. What a shitshow

You're so obviously new you weren't even there in 2017 when this happened and don't know anything about it, lmao. You are shitposting.
>>
>>98604694
arguable, I think scaling wasnt uniform back then and "big" was very subjective. GW is much more intentional now about model sizing and keeping things uniform so that one product range doesn't seem to tower over others unless it's their job to.
>>98604695
it's only a matter of time before they add another SM faction to the range. you could even make an argument that deathwatch don't really need their own codex and should be imperial agents instead.

black templars only have 10 unique products, the space wolves range refresh was...12 i think. Salamanders already have 3 unique products. I think there is enough visual aesthetic to create 7-9 additional units for salamanders
>>

>>

>Is there a release date for the nid codex?
Nope, they annoyingly don't do roadmaps anymore so I've been told, but Tyranids were the first codex last edition which means they'll probably be one of the early ones this edition after Orks and Space Marines according to the usual pattern, so hopefully not too far off, likely before the end of this year.

>>
>>98604791
You could argue that all heroes/HQs and machines of war are in some ways centerpieces but im talking strictly about the trend of these big, detailed models like the SoB procession, silent king, ghazkull, bobby g, etc.

Logan grimnar, helbrecht, farsight are definitely centerpieces in their own right but they aren't PEQs.
>>
>>98604789

>>98604813
>Do you think this board reflects the real world and the popularity of GW products? lmao.

>>
>>98604815
Yeah in that case I see where you're coming from. And yeah, HQs are great centrepieces too given they're ornate and tend to stand out in their own right.

When it comes to gigantohuge models being centrepieces, that's definitely a thing nowadays. Shitty thing is that now every army expects them and I imagine every army expects them to fit the army to a T, so, knights might not be a good centrepiece for ad mech anymore because they're already an army unto themselves.
>>

The Imperialization of Chaos cannot be stopped. The Imperialization of Chaos is the ultimate goal of the Emperor and the point of the setting. The Emperor plans to rewrite all of the Immaterium into his image. Abaddon the Loyalist, his greatest ally, is secretly into this plan. This is why he chose the name Imperium Nihilius, to retain the name Imperium.

Together, all of Chaos will become theirs. Khorne will wake up on his Golden Skull Throne, not realizing there's anything wrong. Tzeentch will be unable to shapeshift in any form but Space Marines. The only drugs going through Slaanesh will be performance enhancers for Space Marines. Nurgle's Nurglings have already started wearing human hats. The process has begun and cannot be stopped. Besides Daemons, all Chaos on tabletop is already Chaos Imperium. Eventually there will only be Chaos Imperium. Then there will be no Chaos without Imperium.

It's already working marvelously. The poster children for Chaos are CSM who fight with Bolters, Plasma, and other Imperial weapons. No Chaos Xenos exist. Daemons will be squatted and soon all Chaos will be Imperium + Spikes.

Chaos will become Imperialized. Just imagine what this means, the Immaterium composed of thoughts from countless universes, all being Imperium. This means across all realities, it's impossible to even THINK of non-Imperial things. This is the Emperor's goal.

I don't want to see necrons split into flanderized microshitters, just complete the bingo card for destroyers, update the last ctan shart and characters, and move on to something else.
>>
Does anyone have the scan of the new "Combat Patrol Companion"? I have a few friends who are interested in the setting and the Core Rules book of the 10th was pretty good for the lore and the overall introduction of the factions.

I had a thought for half a minute of trying to convert kravek morne, but I reckon he's far too distinct and IW-themed to convert to a regular termie lord. Also he's got a really high gorget that I think won't work with a beakie helmet.

I read about Tortuga bay selling power armour pauldrons with the symbol of the Ukrainian armed forces on it. Which faction is the closest to russians? Orks?

Russians are more like Tyranids because that's how much they value their slave soldiers. Ukrainians are like Tau because they just blow them to bits from 30 miles away with drones.

But that's both of them. They're very similar, complete with sharing an irrational hatred of Poland. They must be jealous of the sour soups Poles make.

The manufactured Wolf hate is having the opposite effect, more people are starting Saws than ever before. Just go to your local LGS and look how many Marine players are using Space Wolves compared to just last year.

In my humble opinion the gayness problem of space wolves comes from them acting like fruity frat boys instead.

Can we just get a new thread going? This one is unsalvageable because of the off topic nomodels trolls.
>>
>>98605162
Chaos cultists.
Orks do not engage in gay rape or worship weak leaders hiding in bunkers
>>
>>98605327
We hate the autistic, ban-evading redditor that spergs out over any criticism or joke concerning them. Ergo, we criticize and joke about them even more.
>>
>>98602655
The codexes don't have points for units, detachment point costs or force dispositions so it is literally impossible to play the game without using an app

and also you can't officially print out unit points anymore because the munitorum points are now some website instead of a pdf you download

GW has made 40k impossible to play on a tabletop using the actual physical rulebooks with no electronics or online updates.
>>
>>98605215
Iron Warriors do not use rape to punish their underlings, so no

>>
>>98605371

Wrong, the only people who don't think space wolves are the most lame and cringeworthy part of warhammer are the few spergs who collect them without an ounce of self irony
>>
>>98605371
>Jtbc no one thinks this outside of this place
That is a complete lie almost every single 40k person I've talked to either hates or dislikes space wolves for one reason or another.

Me and my friends make space wolves players at the LGS suck our dicks. They’re trans too. Not sure if that matters
>>
>>98605380
I have a similar experience
Usually even the slightest bullying puts them in their place and they start submissively offering me their models to placate my violence
I usually take their models so that I can strip them and repaint them as something not gay, and then continue bullying them regardless
>>
>>98605371
>you can go to a social gathering of Warhammer players and people adore the Wolves and their aesthetics.
lol no, they're a joke at best and an insult otherwise.

Their production cycle is 5 years long you retard. If Primaris sold badly we wouldn't even have known until 2022. Oh, hey, would you look at that, in 2023 they released Terminators that were exactly like the Firstborn ones just bigger, instead of Gravis Catastrophinators with Steeltempest Boltcannonades. Huh, how interesting?
>>
>>98605199
>insult modelers?
It's talking about you, not people who engage with the hobby.
>>
>>98605327
They tend to attract the most boring form of edgelord who wants to be super badass and play by his own rules but still be the super best boy and almost never has the self awareness to lean into russ pretended to be retarded too hard that he and his legion thought he was srs.
If someone leaned into how hypocritical and and shitty they are as a chapter culture it would work but they're always 3 wolf mooners.
>>
>>98605449
>Their production cycle is 5 years long
It's 5 years for whole new armies that have to be designed from the ground up like votann, otherwise most releases take way less, for example starter sets begin work the moment the last starter has finished its initial run, while many small releases take just one year, and quick and lazy pity heroes can be churned out in one month from greenlight to shelves.
>>
>>98605028
They were thinking "let's making something kino and a little blanchitsu" and delivered, and you're a newfaggot who doesn't get the real 40k aesthetic.
>>
>>98605466
Correct, and Primaris were considered a full new army, not a normal expansion release, and pivoting away from that took them years to begin because there were still years of Primaris in the pipeline behind the initial wave.
>>
>>98605455
It's interesting that SW books, both in 40k and the HH, usualy deal with those themes showing how much they drink their own koolaid and the consequences. Specially in the HH, when they were almost wiped out 2 times for their retardation.

Meanwhile, SW fans replicate urinonically the same pattern.
