are necromunda campaigns supposed to have an overarching plot or is it just a system to connect independent games?if the former, are you meant to create separate stories for each gang or make up some hive threatening malarkey that affects everyone or is there another solution?
>>98604016With a good arbitrator, I would say so. A good arby takes the events of the campaign scenario and could lay out interesting custom events and such to fit the narrative.Other than that though, a Necromunda campaign can just be about gangs fighting over territory. I guess it depends on your arby/group. My group made little faux newspaper entires to describe the aftermath of battles.
How's the new edition for mesbg so far?
>>98604016The default campaign is just about gangs fighting over territories and it's up to the players (especially the arbitrator) to make a story out of that. If you're new you want to start with that kind of campaign. There've been some other campaign types in previous books that split gangs into two sides (Chaos or not, outlaw or not) so that you're a small part of something bigger that's going on in the background. They can get more complicated to manage.
Newfag was thinking of getting into Necromunda. If I wanna MOSTLY cover WYSIWYG for minis is getting 2x of the crew boxes enough? Was thinking of starting with Orlock or Escher. Also any general tips for gang building when playing?
>>98607470Don't think about it that much. Everything above rule of cool is gamebreaking in necromunda. Don't know how it is in the new edition though.
>>98607470Just get one crew box and wait for the new minis to come out, like the upcoming Escher champions/pets or the 8 specialists in the starter box that'll eventually get their own release. The crew boxes come with 16 gangers. You start with 8-10 and add more, but they can share a pool of weapons so you can share minis between gangers. And it's less work to snip off a gun than to repaint a whole second mini.General advice... don't use a loadout more than twice. Leaders need to be decent in short-range shooting and in melee. You want at least a couple prospects because they have more potential, i.e. more level ups than most others even if you take into account level ups that bring their WS/BS to fighter level. The special prospects (wyld runners, wreckers) come with just enough XP to get a skill but it's a fixed one. They're pretty decent. Champions are usually the melee specialists, especially the special ones (death maidens, weapon masters). Eschers are probably not going to take cumbersome weapons, and the shock whip kinda sucks right now.A lot of your fighters will exist to suppress the enemy while going for objectives or closing in for close combat. That's what lasguns are for. Autoguns are a little better at actually hurting people (with the risk of running out of ammo) but close combat is a lot more decisive.
Just been digging around during a clear out and found my copy of the Warcry core rulebook. I remember picking it up on a whim shortly after it first released. Is it a game that's worth me putting some time into building up a couple of forces? Also, I assume this version of the game is now out of date? If so, what might I be missing out on by playing this version vs any newer edition? I don't care about being up to date in a GW sense because I mostly play historicals and alternative rules, just wondering if the book I own is worth taking for a spin basically.
>>98607470For Necromunda 2017 edition 1 crew box and bits from other kitsFor Necromunda 2026 edition 1 crew box + 1 champ/leader kit, and maybe the specialist kit.True WYSIWYG is impossible without extra bits, mostly 3d printed, or lots of knife work on existing bits. Because model carry 3 weapons. Holstered pistol/knife are easy. Long guns/melee is more difficult to find, hence 3d print/knife. 3 long weapons model also look ridiculous.New edition seem to steer toward 3x of the same long weapons to compensate for it being out of ammo after every single shots. So I think people gonna be a bit more forgiving accepting that the 1 plasmagun dude model is carrying 3 plasma guns. For list building it's free for all in N17, but Leader generally stay at safe range or don't even need weapons at all if they're using Overseer skill. Gonna need some long range fire (autogun, lasgun) for gangers. Champs gonna be the main beat stick, using expensive weapons and mesh armor. Juve will be the main pistol/close combat user, usually stick with weapons that give +1/2 to hit. Prospect varied depend on gang, but for Orlock specifically Wreckers are one of the most fun and best fighters they had.List building in Necromunda 2026 is unclear right now, seem like they want you to go toward force organisation like 40k list, which will gave your gang huge boost. The free list building options still exist, but without some nice boost like the force org it'll be sidelined or put into the meme/fun(or unfun because less rule) category. So there weren't really any advice, but the general rule for the new edition is that Medic is mandatory no matter what gang, leader also got a lot tougher and harder to kill so they can be more involved in combat without turning into a loot pinata.
>>98607470Doesn't need to be perfect WYSIWYG. How we tend to play is matching visual clues, E.g. if the model has a heavy weapon, you know it's a heavy weapon. Pistol and melee weapon, you know they're a melee guy. So you can build heavy stubbers and use it as whatever.Like the other anons have said, use each weapon once don't spam anything. A mix is more fun too. A gang box is fine to start.>>98607760Rules are pretty much the same, they just added reactions in.Warcrier has all the rules for free. Warcry is a great game, really simple to get into but has a lot of strategy. The card system for deployment, terrain, victory conditions and twist is brilliant. You can get some very unbranded game but they're very fun.IMO buy 2 warbands and play with a mate, try to rope in more mates too. I love it
>>98607760https://warcrier.net/ just use the rule from this site. Even if you don't want to read the new rule you would still need the unit rules to build up your warbands, which the site got more.
Has anyone played the new Necromunda rules? I'm still cautiously optimistic, feels like they've gotten rid of some of the flavour.
https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/m1i0gxqo/new-rules-for-house-goliath-gangs/Preview of the new Goliath rule, nothing to interesting for the 2 force org gangs, but +1 Wound for the prospect and Combat shotgun being gang equipment might become trending for Goliath.
>>98607811GW can afford to buy an ad here
I forgot to get the MTO Galadriel before it closed. It's so fucking over for me.
>>98608953>nothing to interestingThat's kind of a shame after they've thrown the previous edition's rules out the door. It just looks a little boring.
>>98603674>forgot the title award
>>98608549I enjoyed my first game. Fighters are way harder to shoot OOA and powerful guns run out of ammo way more frequently. You have big first turns followed by frantically trying to get your med/ammo specialists to do their jobs and get your guys back in the game. It's less rocket tag which is not to everyone's taste.
>>98609513I play cawdor so I am a little worried about the big flavour removal. Having one bonus ganger is sweet even though a ganger plus D3 juves was the tits. More of a slugfest sounds pretty alright to me. I'm guessing it's going to lean heavily into specialists like Kill Teams does to an extent.
>>98609513That sounds better to me actually. Good to know
>>98609599It's not 1 bonus ganger, it's 1 prospect, and prospect are forced to promote to ganger at 13xp, so your idea of a super prospect won't happen. To keep that rule active you need to constantly recruit more prospect to replace the promoted one, which at some point become counter intuitive.
KT, how's your experience fighting the Exodites team?
>>98609624That just sounds miserable and my optimism has been ruined somewhat. That just sounds like some real nasty barrier for a bonus whereas other gangs just get it for free without having to jump through hoops..
>>98609644They also had to pay the toll of "extra dude" by having really shit weapon list with only a few good choice (combi auto-flamer and crossbow) while redemptionist had all the good weapons.
>>98609660Is this for the current edition? I thought gangs could just take whatever they wanted now?
>>98609682R and C use different equipment lists. You also need a reserve of more than 1 prospect to account for prospect being drafted into the random pick scenario. Prospect can be useful using template weapons like Combat shotgun (buy from TP) and flamer. With the new rule allowing weapons to be discarded, you can have a stash of combat shotguns ready to be given to new recruits.Since Cawdor hasn't got their specialist and champ kits yet chance of them getting something useful is not zero. but since they also need to share release with Redemptionists, expect the weapon pool they get to be slashed in half. And also don't forget everyone's favorite "new" release from the new kits: old weapons that you already got from old kits.
>>98609753So a bunch of shit that cawdor doesn't want, man that just makes me sad and it already sounds really clunky and disappointing. I don't like how this is set up so far, but ah well.
Anyone got a nice scan of the dossier from Kill Team Nightmare?
>>98609513It gets old quick (or did for me). Both the lack of decisive blows/lethality, and the Wheel of Scenarios. There is much less fun texture overall in the rules to allow you to experience novel situations in each game. Report back when you have ~5 games tallied, please.
>>98610228I'm the anon that replied but I found that fighters could be shockingly durable or hilariously delicate in the now old rules because of range, cover, etc. Oftentimes you only had like one or two rolls that had to get through.I'm guessing fighters feel way too durable now, I wonder how that stacks up with stuff like genesmithing for goliath and all that.
>>98610228I don't dispute these points, but I'll note that my intro game had a multi-turn, multi-fighter melee combat where weapon traits tipped the balance in my favor. That literally never happened in my 2 years of playing N17. Would I like it if it happened every game, no - was it novel and interesting, yes. I could see a situation where the N23 rules become a legacy option for Inquisimunda to get the psuedo RPG feeling.
>>98608549Gangers have a lot more standing power since being injured is a minor inconvenience compared to being on the ground crawling in your own blood and people have more tools to stand up back into the fight. Also guns seem to run out of ammo like- constantly. I saw a guy with a fast-shot boltgunner who literally never got to use it because it always ammo'd out on the first shot since you no longer roll ammo tests to reload- but have to reload far more often. I will add though it definitely made plasma guns feel more impactful since they sort of had that fire one turn reload the next vibe.It does add a lot more value to things like Autoguns and Lasguns in my opinion for those reliable firepower.
>>98610312Being Cawdor I'm already used to bering flush with autoguns and pinging away until I knock a ganger down or something. Are flesh wounds still a thing? I was pretty fine with gangers being delicate if the stars aligned but it sounds like that they have ways to continually get back into the fight with little penalty.I still feel uncertain about the new rules overall, maybe I'll just have to play them but it probably feels bad not to have all your unique gang rules.
Teach me how to best play Hierotek Circle
>>98610306I agree that players will see novel things (in their first few games) compared to their N17 experiences, but as your tally of N26 games grows they start to feel very similar and homogeneous. Whereas N17 had a lot more wacky shit that could sometimes, but not always, happens. I still have memories from like 2018 of models Blazing off of walkways after getting mollied, or weird chains of Nerve/Broken/Bottle consequences, or niche equipment/drugs coming up and doing something memorable, or fucked up Tactics Cards, or, most of all, insanely creative scenarios offering a super-immersive imaginative landscape.I don't really have any enduring memories from my N26 games, and I only started playing them a couple of weeks ago.
>>98610365FWs are gone, which means that a. You can't make gangers progressively weaker through weight of fire and b. You can't rely on a sufficiently high number of injury dice from rapid fire to kill them outright through the additional FWs from DI results after the first.
>>98610435That's a little weird, does that mean FWs are just gone completely? What effectively replaces them? I guess you need that lethality for more dice rolls, but that also means you're now chewing through multi-wound gangers a lot more, I think?
>>98610365Flesh wounds have been replaced with the "injured" condition, which prevents a model from using any special skills or abilities, so there is no degrading toughness but it does prevent them from using things like Dodge and reduces their power a lot. I can't recall if merely being injured prevents you from claiming objectives too.The biggest change is the separation of damage and lethality.Lethality is how many injury rolls you roll when finally putting the model to 0 wounds, so is "stopping power"Damage is specifically dealing multiple wounds of damage. This allows weapons like Snipers and Two-Handed Hammers to have more wham power, putting gangers down in one swing without objectively just removing Champions from the gameplay because 2W is meaningless when half the gangers have boltguns. This means D2 is far more at a premium now which is honestly a very good thing.
>>98610431i've only played 2 games, but the game feels less random in general to me. which is great if thats what youre looking for, but munda to me was always dip shit gangers fighting over an alley way. a bad shot insta gibbing your champ, or just hilarious chains just seem rare in the new. >>98610365you should also wait for the journals. they really stripped everything to put it into a new book to sell you. yknow, to consolidate the rules like they promised.
>>98610508>when half the gangers have boltgunsAre they really that easy to get? Man that's just weird and with the changes to smoke/blast weapons, I feel like some gangs are just going to suffer big time with shooting. When I was lucky to play some Necromunda at my LGS shooting was pretty oppressive but that may have been a terrain issue. Allowing weapons to have more 'wham' power versus killing power strikes me as a nice change, you can make weapons more crunchy that way.>>98610520Consolidating the rules by deleting everything and putting it into a journal less than half the size. I hope I still get bomb rats.
>>98610541Half the gangers having boltguns was more a preference to N17 where it was just the only weapon you really wanted on every guy when possible. Buying a heavy weapon was generally bad because you'd be better to buy two gangers boltguns.
>>98610555It seems like heavy weapons are still in the same boat this edition but I could be wrong. I guess I saw quite a few boltguns in my games because I was going up against enforcers and orlock who seem pretty boltery to me.
>think about kommandos and hierotic circle>Both rotate out next yearWell that's gay
>>98610593>kill team in this threadwhat a goonAlso, play whatever you want man. I don't hate the classified format for what it is, but unless you're playing worlds, all teams are fine. As a starstrider chad myself, i will never listen to the cycle. unless they make a warp spider team, then im jumping in
>>98610520>i've only played 2 games, but the game feels less random in general to me.Kind of agree, although I don't like the descriptor "random" to describe N17. It wasn't that random things were happening out of nowhere so much as there were simply *more* things that *could* happen, so, quite naturally, you saw more things. The new edition definitely feels like an edges-smoothed-off version you're meant to be able to pull up and play frictionlessly against a total stranger at an FLGS or a tournament, and get an averagely-acceptable experience out of.
>>98610520My biggest irk of the N26.They "consolidated" the rules and still sold you two rulebooks.Instead of 1 gang per book, they've made 2 books everyone needs and then you still need to buy the extra book per gang.If they truly consolidated it, Gangs of the Underhive and Gangs of the Outlands would be the ONLY books we need.Or at the very least, if the "Journal of the Esher" had everything you need to play Escher it would at least be on PAR, but it doesn't you don't even get all the rules, you NEED gangs of the under hive.I love Necromunda and I really like this edition but I a pirating the fuck out of the journals.
>>98610666averagely-acceptable is such a great way of wording it. GW is just smoothing out the wrinkles so you can't think. or dont have to. I think its addressing the destruction of friendships, moving towards casual and pick up games>>98610671hilarious, Im doing the opposite. buying the journal and not the main book. i want my archer wyld eschers
>>98610671There's way more content now than there was when they first released Gangs of the Underhive and Gangs of the Outlands. People complaining "there's too many books!" are retarded I'd rather have all that extra content than not have it and have the game be dumbed down and stripped of all those extra options and flavor. There are a million other issues with N26 you picked literally the stupidest fucking possible thing to be upset about.
Apparently a decent scan of the Necromunda rulebook has just been dropped, attributed to Russians. If anyone comes across it, please post it here (I will do so if I find it myself).
>>98610785>>98610785You know what, that's a fair point, we are looking at like 18 different gangs worth of content rather than 6 and I'm glad they didn't forget out Ash Nomad Sisters and Enforcer-Dads from being included in the initial refresh.I do stand by being pissed the journals having only EXTRA rules and not the literally Two page they would need for the Escher content in the Gangs of the Underhive book. They're literally holding back two pages of content from each gang to force you to buy a new $50 book.
>>98610927They're holding back an entire book of content. Look at how anemic the lists look compared to last edition's books. You get like two pages for equipment and that's it.
>>98610431It feels like modern 40k.Most notable thing was during 9th when some random Acolyte with a Rock Cutter deleted a Primarch due to the stupid rules interaction, making a difference between slaying and destroyed. Basically the Rock Cutter prevented the Primarch from using his revive skill due to how it was written. In other words the most fun thing that has come since 8th was a stupid rules interaction.Meanwhile older editions of 40k, people still remember the time my Leman Russ scatter, making my transport to explode, deleting the unit inside along with other 30 models due to said explosion. There is a guy that is still salty to this day that I defeated his necron netlist army during 7th with a stupid Immolator, Repressor and Penitent Engine wall.
>>98610386Get out
>>98603674>Wrecka Krew edition
I know it's retarded, but I wish Necromunda had Orks. They fit right in with the aesthetic.
>>98614747Orks are at the Skull.
I just started collecting Necromunda, but I have no idea how to assemble a gang.I have the core book--which doesn't list much. I'm still waiting for my Gangs of the Underhive to arrive, but was told it just lists prices for items. What book do I need to look up Cawdor stat lines and will the stats work in N26?
>>98603674>K*ll Team, why are OPs always fags
I have never played Necromunda but picked up a heavily discounted Echer gang 2017 box, mostly just to paint but I would like the option of playing them.I understand that WYSIWYG is important in Necromunda, can I therefore screw myself over by just assembling these blind, or can I make a starting gang out of any loadout variation?
>>98614811>WYSIWYG is important in NecromundaIt's important in that a melee/pistol person should have a melee weapon and a pistol, and that each model should be identifiable - it doesn't matter the super specifics, as long as each model's role in the gang is roughly identifiable at a glance. For example, if you've got a model carrying a heavy bolter, use them to represent someone using a big gun, not someone with a pair of swords. Beyond that, no-one that doesn't work directly for GW is gonna give you shit about WYSIWYG perfection.>>98614798That'd be Gangs of the Underhive - each gang has to have exactly one leader, and more or equal gangers plus prospects than it does other members. Beyond that, your only limit is your credit value and what's available to your gang, as well as the specific limits each gang puts on your building. All of this, be it body or gear costs, dude stats, or the gang-specific limitations, is in Gangs of the Underhive for Cawdor, so once that shows up you'll have literally everything you need to play them.
>>98614823Thank you anon.
>>98614798It's same for almost all gang : Leader, 2+ champs, ganger, juve/prospect to squeeze in more model/gear. Give a few autogun to Cawdor ganger for some covering fire, give more expensive weapons (like flamer, crossbow, combi auto-flamer) to the champs and leader. New edition want you to build gang like picture to get a bonus and access to exclusive equipments, so it's not a great time to build Cawdor right now, since they don't have their journal. But you can still apply that same principle to make a gang without the journal, for ganger at least 1 medic specialist is mandatory.>>98614811Depend on which version of Necromunda you're playing. Generally Escher favor toxin weapons in both version, but they still have access to conventional good weapons like Bolter, Plasma, Melta and Grenade Launcher in N17 while N26 removed GL and Bolter from their list, make Chem Thrower strong, and added some new weapons. N17 also have Escher using the tricky melee style with Sword-type weapon to hit people at a distance, but N26 removed the rule to use melee weapons at a distance, so there go that build. With what you had all you need is the upgrade kit, or extra bits you can play Escher in N17 edition. For N26 we'll have to wait for review and leak to see if they had any other build than just toxin/gas + plasma. There're also things that's usable in N17 like dual plasma pistol, but in N26 this build is a complete meme, borderline unplayable.
>>98609625People have been pretty quiet about them even though they supposedly sold out. So I reckon they're pretty average since everybody would be screaming about them if they were op.I expected a lot more hype about them since it's actual official Exodites, but maybe that will come when they release the rest of the range for 40k at some point.
Is there any PDF of the Aranthian Succession: Spire of Primus anywhere? I have all 3 other books, and I've been reading through the lore, but I'd forgotten there was a 4th book until just the other day.
>>98614747>>98614779This guy's correct. My buddy runs an Ork gang as Outcasts. Leaders and Champs as Orks, Hive Scum as Grots.
>Rules at a baseline are meant to make fighters tougher>Escher special gang gets a special rule that lets them automatically take fighters out of action if seriously injuredWeird that there's no roll to resist this but whatever.
>>98615606There is no ability or equipment resembling what you described in the Escher preview article. What exactly are you talking about?
>>98615072Huh nice. Which base sizes do you use for which unit?
>>98615744Check toxins under chem-alchemy?
>>98614924>People have been pretty quiet about themCuz Kill Team is a dead game honestly>even though they supposedly sold outTo collectors and 40k players
>>98616569They successfully nostalgia baited the fuck out of noob's wallet with the Exodite slops
>>98615043https://files.catbox.moe/yx80z6.pdf
>>98616569Yeah the game died so fucking quickly at my LGS. KT2018 lasted for months, this one didn't even get off the ground outside of a couple demo games. It's really disappointing.
>>98616569I'm sorry to hear that. I bought the exodite set because it was exodites. Haven't played or painted in fucking years. Looked up the rules for Kill Team and it actually looks like a really fun game. It's like they tried to translate an FPS shooter into a board game. Now I feel like I wasted my money even more if the game is dead.Could be just in your area though?
>>98617058games not dead at all. theres at least one tournament a month in my area, and my local has a league. not saying it falls out of favor in some places, but its definitely around.it just doesn't have discussion power so it only gets talked about every 3 months with a new release
>>98617206I figured it depends on where it is. Either way, I think the game looks really fun. I'm going to build and paint up the exodite set and two other teams so my friends and I can do chaotic 4 player games.
>>98614747>>98614779I personally hope they don’t add any more “40k” things to Necromunda. I’m sure they could make bespoke Necromunda Orks interesting, I’d rather see stuff that hasn’t returned yet, like Brats, Scavvies, and Ratskins, at least first.
>>98616616>https://files.catbox.moe/yx80z6.pdfThanks
It pisses me off so much they replaced the old booklet format Kill Team pdfs on the WarCom site with these stupid printable cards and you can't even find the nice ones anymore, what the fuck is with GWs constant enshittification? Anyone have links to all the old KT pdfs before they pulled this shit?
An article about what to do with that Pipe terrain for Necromunda >https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/nmnqbpay/build-endlessly-versatile-necromunda-terrain-with-pipes/
>>98620618This things do not feel like terrain for a game, but pieces for a diorama
>>98620618>what to do with that Pipe terrain for Necromunda>Buy the overpriced ZM terrains with 0 bundle set.Insightful advice.
Looking at some of the blood bowl star player changes, it seems confusing to me. Was grombrindal really broken enough to make his ability once per game? Also a lot of stars are really limited now.
Are there copies of the Necro 26 books floating around?
>>98615770I think the Gretchen are on 25's,but thats judt guessing. I dont think if us has ever been arsed to check the base sizes of any minis. The ork gang came about because dude found sone Orks in his basement that he painted 20 years ago, and asked if he could play Necromunda with them. Fuvk I love Necromunda.
>>98620878>have you considered giving us more money?
>>98620888I think they just wanted all of the star player rules to be once per game instead of permanent. I think the other possibility is that most of these rules were written and "tested" by NAF tournament style players. Like the change to leap from lrb6, the current skill/stat costs in terms of SPP and TV came from NAF tournaments. Dorf blitzer is 100k. So now you have a dorf blitzer that comes with 2 mighty blow (60k right there) and 7 other skills at the cost of tackle and diving tackle, so you're getting like 5 skills for 10k and loner 4+. not a super big deal in league, but a lot of people would take him in NAF
>>98620618>look we get that the “terrain” is dog shit. Just buy more terrain and glue the pipes to itlmao
>>98620618I guess it's kind of nice if you want more ground bits but man what a missed opportunity for some clever verticality.
Guys I started playing Sevens and now regular Blood Bowl feels slow and boring to me. Is there any coming back?
>>98621083i never expect anytihng good from gwbut its insane to me that they didnt make some more cat walks or something. you have these set distance pillars, make some 3d pieces
>>98621100Given they they really like to mix up kits and have these little brackets to stick/stack things or whatever, you'd think they could come up with something that allows you to customize some verticality, that stuff is so great to have in a wargame.
Need some BB tips.2nd game of the league. I'm Chaos Renegades vs Khorne. Neither team has gained any skills yet. I had a death of a lineman game 1, but otherwise effectively two fresh teams.Never played Khorne, and the Frenzy++ scares me. I found Renegades to be squishier than expected (1st game was vs Nurgle) and as unreliable as expected. I went for 3 big guys (RO, Orge, Troll), one of each race, and no thrower.RO sits with the orc and gets used as a blitzer. Ogre, Troll and a lineman make up LOS. Kinda wish I'd gone for Mino over RO, after the RO KO'd two of my own players in game 1.Khorne team is 4 bloodseeker, 2 khorngors, 5 linemen.Should I just set up frenzy traps everywhere?Plan is to ignore the S4 Seekers and take out the rest. Fewer assists = risky frenzies
>>98621159mighty blow kill the linos and then set up frenzy traps. it's kind of shitty but this is 100% a high variance dice off. neither of you have block or any ball handling skills so it's going to be who can remove who and khorne is good as long as they don't get their linos removed. if their linos die they get outnumbered and foldfrenzy traps are good, but they're easier if you're 3 mb remove the squishy av8+ linos>rogre vs minothe mino is more common on fumbbl pact teams than the rogre. the rogre is only really good for OTTD attempts with rats or underworld. otherwise his best asset is the tail which means you need to put him in contact and rogres have shitty armor. minos have shitty armor too, but it's easier to get 3 die blocks with horns because they minos only need 1 assist and no baby sitter
>>98621204TYYeah, him not having a MB piece makes me optimistic my AV 9+ linos can tank some bloodseekers while 3 big guys take out some Khorne linemen.Hadn't realised they were AV 8+. Makes an armour break almost a 60% chance with a MB lockdown.Think I just gotta not get bogged down by a melee and pick guys off.Chose RO over Mino as he makes for a more reliable blitzer due to animal savagery and higher MA, and Renegades get no blitzers.RO was variable on my skaven team the league before, but the blitzers quickly became better choices for blitzing, so the RO just made for a slightly squishier big guy.
>>98621270like the whole thing with the roger is either using him to base the ball carrier if rats are playing a squishy team so the ball carrier has to dodge out and because he has that guaranteed blitz a juggernaut rat ogre makes the one turn touch down super consistent for rats, even vs stand firm, because they only need 2 pushes. I feel like for pact it doesn't make sense to not have 3 big guys, since with just the ogre and troll they're shittier undead, but the mino is just easier to use, even if he's inconsistent due to horns over tail.Khorne is just like the dicist of the dicey teams. I've had 2 games as orcs where I didn't remove any linos and got raped and a game where I removed their linos early on and raped them
Is this the thread for kill team or is the main 40k thread for kill team? Or are both for kill team? Either way, I had a question about playing slower teams. I like teams that are slower but chunkier or tankier I guess. In a game like kill team though, everyone seems very deadly which became very obvious to me. I don't mind that but now I don't quite know how to play slower teams if they aren't necessarily more deadly. I also hear teams with 5 inch movement are gimped in some ways on maps like Volkus. Is that true?
>>98623299I think you need to be way more deliberate and calculated with how you use your operatives in 5 man teams.Isn't the beastmen team the strongest in the game? Murderwing is pretty insane too
>>98623742I am not sure about beastman but I think most "elite" teams are like 6 - 7 models. The "super elite" team is death watch which is 5 models I think. The CSM and Plague Marines are 6 models on a team. But you are right, it seems you need to be very very deliberate. However, I don't know what the board state looks like for deliberate play like that. I have seen people mention not giving your opponent shots but I don't even know how that is done if you are slow and have few models and obviously you need to score points.
What's the place to get the 2018 kill team PDFs?
come on gamescuckshop release the asswaste nomads box already, i want to save few bucks.
>>98623742Raveners and wolf scouts were beating them, fellgor 3rd.>>98623299yes, its true. moving slow is a big detriment You do just have to have a good feel for the game. Regardless, stinky boys haven't been good in a long time.
>>98623280>brute cleaverThey're coming back then? I think those were "missing" in the Gangs of book?
>>98623904Isn't the countermeasure or counteract (whatever they call it) rule supposed to balance the lack of units you have? So you just don't get swarmed. You get a free 1 apl action with each operative when you're outnumbered.Otherwise a team with 10-11 units could just send the shitty units out first and then steamroll with the heavy hitters once the 5-6 man team have spent all his units. So you can shoot again or do that slightly gimped move action to get behind cover etc.I'm only just getting into Kill Team now, but to me it looks like the teams with more units are very favoured. But back when I was playing 40k, I'd always get swarmed if I played a few-strong-units army and get totally stomped by few-strong-units if I played a swarm army. I reckon it'll be the same in Kill Team.>>98624699Raveners just got a tiny wound nerf. What about Wolf Scouts? did they get nerfed too?
>>98625290Yeah, these 48 books will include all the stuff the games were missing in the big book it's so SDS can double-dip on people

>>98627137So much for the idea that they playtest this shit.So N26.01 lasted how long now before being changed to N26.02?
>>98609805Orlocks have it bad too, imo. Basically... everyone's going to need that first journal. The Escher one's great. Dunno enough about Goliaths to opine on theirs.I like the rules. It's less killy right now, so you need to gang up on enemy fighters. And credits are harder to come by. There were too many credits and too little XP before, imo.
>>98627137faqs are fineerrata is unacceptable
Fellas, Delaque or Escher for a new player?
>>98628112Either is fine but at the moment, Escher got the Journal while Delaque is probably the last house gang to get it, so in about 6 months to 1 year.
picked up the new rat ogre yesterday, haven't glued it yet but the kit looks really nice so far highly recommend it to anyone that can get it at a discount
Are there full, clean scans of anything from N26 up yet? I know it's a bit early
>>98628565Skaven are on my list of teams I’d like to pick up eventually. The new rat ogre looks great. Love the little shoulder rat
>>98629274there's actually 2 different shoulder rats you can pick from
>>98628565is it very monopose or does it come with some build options?
>>98630695Monopose.2 options for left arm (fist or claw), a number of head options, and some options for trinkets/tails/tabards.It would be difficult but not impossible to repose with a little bit of sculpting know-how.As far as monopose models go, this one is very nice. The seamlines are barely noticeable, the parts have been lined up in a very intelligent manner. This model requires minimal gap filling.
Anyone have some tips on making a heretek themed gang for necromunda? I looked around and chaos affiliated outcasts seems like the best option to represent them. Also what's the deal with chaos helot gangs? They just seem like a chaos affiliated gang minus a bunch of stuff.
>>98627196Not even three weeks
>>98631553and how many separate versions of necromunda this year iterated from the root of n17 before the n26.01 even came out? At least two, right?
>>98631507play a house gang or kill yourself
>>98631507Play them as a Van Saar chaos corrupted gang.Helots are supposed to be factory slaves who turned to Chaos and revolted. They, along with Outcasts and Venators, are terrible general purpose "how can I use these minis" gangs.
In Kill Team, how are the Legionaries? It seems like the balance for Kill Team is all over the place for some reason. Like some Elite teams are apparently very strong and possibly dishonest and other teams are considered "honest" which usually just means sort of shit because they don't have tricks.
Is GW trying to sunset warcry? There's been no news of a new warband and the entire range is restricted to online only, and the last released unique warcry kit was in '24.
>>98633177They mentioned in the Q&A that there's new warcry content inbound. Probably just ogor rules and some faq
>>98633177If they don't I think some of the TOW thread regulars might actually kill themselves, they're getting real upset about AoS not being sunset.
>>98633177Warcry and Underworlds I think are both soft killed. Been fuck all for announcements or anything in forever. I can’t remember the last time they were featured in an article or anything anywhere even. I do wonder if there will be something else coming eventually to have an AoS side game. Right now I think most people are content with Spearhead. AoS needs its own Kill Team, which Warcry SORT OF was but I feel like it was too simplified to be interesting long term.

Having a warband for every army where the theme was either monsters or monster hunters were pretty cool.
>>98634303neat
>>98635919Those of us who are actually old had lots of things invalidated when 40k switched from RT to 2nd ed., and from 2nd ed. to 3rd. After that there was rules continuity, but no one used a previous-edition codex when they had a new one out. Okay, some exceptions for the 3.5 Chaos codex, but only that one. More importantly, the game needed a reset. It wasn't remotely balanced and the collection of rules was unwieldy, to the point that interested potential players were staying away. They're still idiots for writing journals before we could do their playtesting for them, and for announcing those journals before anyone had the new box. Leaving the starter box minis out of the gang book is hilarious. But it was time for a new edition.

Is necromunda over? Did the new edition kill it? I haven't looked into it but I heard someone say that they "turned it into 8th edition 40k"
>>98611006>it feels like modern 40kOh. Okay, so there's no fucking point in getting into necromunda, then. I was looking into it a few months ago as a way to escape modern 40k, then I heard a new edition was coming up and wanted to wait. FUCK.
>>98645878Yeah...
>>98645893You could always get into Blood Bowl instead, anon. Or Titanicus. Titanicus is pretty good.
>>98645893Can always play with the old N17 rules though, it's really solid and has a wealth of content, in case you can find it now that they've nuked the downloads on warhammer community. They could have just expanded on that system in perpetuity without problem, it's so obvious how the new edition is just because of upper management meddling. The rules are barebones trash now, all customizability got thrown to the wind.
>>98645878>Is necromunda over?Come back in 2-3 years for the verdict because the game is 0.2 version right now with lots of missing contents.Or just play the no longer in development 2017 or 1995 version unless you're one of the retards who's too dumb to read.
>>98645893>>98645920Ligma's okay too, really the only serviceable GW rulesets left. They even fucked up 30k.
>>98645934>Or just play the no longer in development 2017 or 1995 versionyeah bro let me try to convince the sputtering local game store retards that are my playgroup to pick up necromunda and play with non-current rules. "But what about da nu rules? Let's just play wif dose!!!" is exactly what they're gonna say, it's what they always say about any game
>>98645946>retardsGood riddance, you don't want retards to play Necromunda anyway no matter what version. Look like you either need to find non-retard, or a new hobby.
seems like the upcoming Battlehost for MESBG are getting free rules, SDS did do something similar with TOW Battle March boxes>https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/gezq0saf/middle-earthtm-battlehosts-rules-available-to-download/
>>98645893No, no, it doesn't feel like modern 40k. Give it 2-3 years and the game will be sovlful again, this is just the rocky start of a badly-needed rules reset
>>98645971The game was good as it was. What needed improving exactly? The only real problem was that the rules were getting too spread out.
>>98645984NTA, I didn’t think the rules absolutely needed to be reset, but overall they did fix a lot of the problems I had, mostly with the campaign and economy, but I’m also pleased with melee getting tuned down.I’ll give the new rules a fair shot soon with my buddy, but if I don’t like em I’ll just keep playing N17. Either way I have all the rules pirated lol.
>>98646043Honestly, I'm in the same boat - me and my group are gonna finish out our N17 campaign, then do a few test skirmishes in N26 with goofy nonsense gangs to get the hang and feel for things whilst they finish releasing all the content. Once that's done, we'll make a call for our next campaign.I get why the negativity - new thing bad, change bad, muh game purity, ect - but people said the exact same shit about N17 and it ended up pretty well liked.
It's probably too early to pass final judgement on N26 when it comes to whether or not it's a good replacement/successor to N17. But I do hate the fact that N26 exists at all, I don't think a new starter box needed a rules overhaul. I hate the edition treadmill of the mainline GW games, I was a sucker and genuinely thought N17 would go down the path of battletech and just have the same rules forever with occasional consolidation of rules from various books. I thought SDS was fighting for that. I guess I was wrong. Doesn't matter whether SDS deceived the customer base or if they lost the good fight against Kevin Rountree and his cronies, I feel like a sucker either way.
>>98646169>Releasing all the contentIt will be like five years for that atleast (if the game even survives that long or doesn't get replaced by a new edition after the three year edition cycles GW does now), and even then i doubt they will re-release all the minor special rules they introduced in articles.I also get the feel from the snippets of rules i've seen that they are simplifying things and removing options, which has been a trend in other GW games for a long time now. It's not just "new thing bad", this is objectively bad from my perspective.
>>98646187Should we just kill ourselves?
>>98646255No, just you.
>>98645878It didn't even get off the ground at my LGS beyond one group but that fell apart sadly. Lasted longer than Kill Teams which is wild to me.
>>98646187My personal hope is after the six houses get their journals, we see a new gang or two. Kinda criminal that Brats and Scavvies still aren’t in the game. I’d like to see someonew instead of retreading the same ground we already went through with N17.Honestly would have preferred every gang to stay as compendiums and journals be used for stuff like new gangs and campaign types.
>>98646186Yeah I had hope when they compiled all of the rules for the past little while into a big book, now they just pissed it away. I really hate how stuff that was already codified has to be rehashed and rereleased just so that you can have something that reasonably fits in the modern rules. Sure you can homebrew it but that goes for everything.
>>98645878Its really not that different. It got trimmed down, which is good in some ways, a bummer in others. But we still have 9 years of content for N17, so if I really don’t like N26, I got a lot to fall back on.Overall I think it will be fine.
what happened to lotrbay? any alternatives?
>>98646464They trimmed down some of the options, i know delegation and outcast gangs were more like an afterthought, but it pisses me of that they just outright removed the options for noble houses, criminal organisations and merchant guild delegations.
>>98646475The problem is finding people to play with you when it comes to unsupported games. As >>98645946 said it's far more difficult convincing your average "warhammer" fan of even trying unsupported games, much less a pseudo RPG game like necromunda that requires a large investment of time, when they can't just go and buy the needed rulebooks at the store they just stop caring, or just considers the old edition inferior for simply being older.Edition churn will kill games, it's even preferable that games just outright die than get a new edition that is worse than the previous, because the last edition in production will be how the game is remembered. If it just dies then the players it had when was being produced may stick around.
>>98646723Problem with new outcast is that it's a combat leader gang but all leader archetypes got Savant primary instead of another combat primary, like they want the combat leader gang to be support bitch when they're supposed to be fighting, retarded design. And the mutant options are just ass.
>>98646772That's not a problem, that's a good filter. This isn't a game for everyone. Bringing retards and imbeciles into Necromunda always ended up badly.
>>98646772That's not a problem, you look for people outside of gaming stores who don't have preconceived notions like that.
>>98646772Yeah, I get that, its sad. Though I solely play with a home group who dgaf about that kind of stuff. But ofc its not like that for everyone.
>>98646826>>98646829It depends on your local area, in my area there aren't many options if you don't go to the local game stores, and they have been occupied by theater kids who don't really care about gaming and your average redditors who all have that "current edition" mentality i mentioned, and who you have to walk around eggshells around because they are so political, it's been like that since covid and i hate it.If you don't play in that ecosystem there aren't many others to play with.Tbh my enjoyment of this hobby has taken a nosedive in recent years.
>>98646826How the hell am I supposed to play N17 with those people if I don't own any physical N17 books?

>>98646723On the topic of delegation gangs. What are some interesting things you can build with them?Like a house Ty themed gang with house guards/militia and samurai champions.
>>98646881You're just not doing it right.Take some miniatures to a cafe to paint, or even a small demo game setup (it helps to 3d print some 15mm scale minis for your game and make a small portable board) then sit there with the game set up while you read a book and drink coffee, someone is eventually going to be curious, eventually a curious someone will be willing to sit down and learn to play, I find this to be better than painting minis, you'll get people interested in that who have no care for gaming.
>>98646881Yeah, I think I’ve just been lucky with my local scene. But I stick to my home geoup for Necro, works better that way since I’ve seen someone who thinks Necromunda is Kill Team absolutely ruin a campaign for others.I’ll give the new rulebook one thing, it hammers home the concept of it not being a competitive game in multiple places.
>>9864696618 downloads so far? I didn't expect it to be so popular, I honestly thought fewer anons than that were interested in "dead" editions of games. You all have given me a small hope for mankind.

Total beginner here. I've just been doing up some of the smurfs that came with the paint set. Teh Maccragge blue looks amazing on a chaos black undercoat. I did a few DA in caliban green and they don't look even close to as good. The blue has a bit of a matte finish that looks really cool and the green looks a little shiney. Not like armour at all. Is there an easy fix for this to make DA look a bit more matte and a bit more weathered?
>>98650419Here's a DA for comparison. See how the paint is a different texture?
>>98650410Brilliant, thanks!
>>98650419>weathered?Put a wash on it. in term of GW's term it's a shade like Nuln Oil or Argax EarthshadeDo highlight with a lighter color than your (blue/green) base color, you can add stuff like scratch or chip with paint at the edge this way too.Check out some good ol Duncan painting vidhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_odi1c7ErCg
>>98650485I'm liking the way the ultramarine looks. Its actually the Dark angels I'm a bit miffed about. Trying to avoid going full tron marine and more wondering if there was a different colour than caliban green that had a bit more of a matte look. Its probably worth trying to brighten them up and then put a wash on them, I was going to try my first wash on the smurf guys.
>>98650511It's a fundamental painting tutorial that you can base off and paint other things. I can only find the UM painting because finding classic Duncan painting tutorial is a bitch on the warhammer channel. If you don't like how the paint look you can either change to other green paint or coat the model with a matt varnish, but varnish is tough for beginner because you'll most likely fogging the model with too thick coat.Duncan had a modern DA painting vid but it was using his paint brandhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKeSBw5FgyA
>>98650637Just flicked through it. Looks pretty good. I made a squad of 5 DA for my first models and desu by the time it came to detailing I was ready to move on, I was doing sub assemblies etc and it just felt like I had nothing for a fair bit of work so I just put them all together instead of detailing them. Also I guess learning to walk before you can run is a good thing and I feel pretty good with the Ultramarines, going to try out slapchop on one and do the other two normally.
>>98650670You need to clean up those white flakes, and scrap the mold lines before painting next time, especially on the top of the backpack.
>>98650680Yeah the top of the backpacks are for sure the choppiest bit of the models, think I got some glue on some of them after painting too.
>>98646723>but it pisses me of that they just outright removed the options for noble houses, criminal organisations and merchant guild delegations. They might yet sell them again as a separate book.
>>98651026Guild gangs as plastic releases are very likely.
>>98646966>>98650165It's necrodamus though. Last time I checked it had the issue of randomly inserting house rules or fixes without informing it like they usually do.So it added discussion in the group because the official rule said one thing and necrodamus said another.

(because no one give a shit about the Bland(Clan) Houses, save for maybe Escher). You still need to buy or print the Outlander + supplements from Yaktribe.
>>98651492Anyone who played Enforcers in my group would have been beaten with hammers. Bolters with decent ammo as standard is ridiculous.
>>98651209I used to have entire website stored back in the day. But now I have no idea how to do it. Is it even possible to do it today?
>>98651565Yeah you can still archive websites for yourself.
>>98651565Look like there're a downloadable app version>>98651568The downside with downloading the site is that it took forever and the search function doesn't work. But it's still faster than flipping through pdf pages.
>>98651598Oh yeah, it's a real pain in the butt. It would be cool if you could self-host with that stuff.
>>98651559Enforcer in oldmunda is also the antithesis of the game. They're literally a 2021 Kill team with fixed loadout and they are the most popular gang in all editions, kek.
I would like the Bounty Hunter 1 at the bottom here, from the Fanatic era
>>98651718Probably the easiest kitbash.
>>98651598The pdf has a clickable contents page
>>98647021>Mommy why did that man bring his Polly Pockets to the restaurant? He's taking up the whole table
>>98651026>>98651032Seems kinda obvious now that you mention it.
What would guild and noble house gangs look like?
>>98652108Who the fuck;A) let's strangers sit at their table andB) wants to sit at a table with a strange man??
>>98652143If you download that necrodamus gofile link you'll find the rules for exactly that were compiled out of whichever books and put in there.
>>98652143Confrontation (pre-Necromunda) had a Helmawr gang
>>98652184I already know what the rules for delegation gangs in N17 are like, but they are kinda lackluster, beyond whatever delegation being your leader the only special thing about them was that the rest of your gang gained access to your delegation's equipment, which was kinda hampered by the fact that most of them didn't have that unique wargear and their special rules weren't shared. You also weren't able to add more of the delegation unit, like you couldn't add more mindfrayed to a catallus delegation and the masked killer was your leader by default, but if they actually were a house catallus gang the mindfrayed would be a ganger and the masked killer would maybe be a champion.>>98652203What were their composition like?
>>98652393>I already knew the answer to my questionThen STFU
>>98652486Spergy dipshit learn to read
>>98652393>What were their composition like?Confrontation was set on Necromunda but the rules were completely different. It was basically Laserburn rules, one of the spiritual predecessors of 40k but much crunchier, with Rogue Trader weapons.Citadel and Marauder miniatures both had ranges which ranged from unreleased to barely available.
>>98652540right back at you kiddo
>>98650419This is the GW Specialist Games thread, while the best place here for hobby questions is probably the WIP thread. But welcome! When I finish painting a mini I spray it with matte varnish like Testor's Dullcote. It adds some protection from paint getting rubbed off (less of an issue with plastic minis) and it cuts down on the shine. There are brush-on matte varnishes too. I then use a brush-on gloss varnish on lenses (like the eyes).I like Pro Acryl paints a lot, and they're very matte so you might too. I think you'd use Black Green highlighted with Green. Add a touch of yellow and white for the most extreme highlights.
>>98651718I do hope we get a dedicated plastic bounty hunter kit. Sculpted by the guy who made the Orlock kit and the Outcast kit, since he sculpts his kits specifically to be interchangeable and easily customized.
>>98651188>last time I checkedwhich is not anytime this year if you look at the document, 31 anons now disagree with you by the way.But even if that were an issue, the choice is between 20+ books over a decade that have to be cross-referenced with each other, FAQs and errata's, a process requiring a fuckton of homework to figure out how the rules actually work, OR a single document. But a dedicated group has already done all that work and notated every instance where a concession was made or any irreconcilable rules issues are highlighted in red and suggested houserule solutions to potential problems are marked out.even if the final document does not 100% fully agree with the printed rules, it is a far preferable option to have everything all-in-one without necessitating all the homework that the alternative requires. And this new edition is not any different, you already have to cross-reference the RAW with pdf alterations and it hasn't even been a month.Personally I do not care to undertake the task of comparing the two with a fine tooth comb to discover some minor discrepancy, however the single total document says it is, is good enough.
>>98653142I mean when necroraw show up we dropped necrodamus. Which was doing the faq and errata thing without the random house rule.
>>98654011and does necroraw have a single complete pdf that I can have printed off in a spiral bind?
When the nomad/palanite/ogryn boxes get released, whats the chance of GW also making new boxes/minis for outcasts/grinders/etc and why is it 0%?
>>98654248It's not zero, but I suspect we'll get a different Warhammer Skirmish game first.
>>98654248GW already made upgrade kit for Corpse Grinder, Generic Khorne dude : Khorner harder is the easiest concept expansion for GW to make.
>>98654051Dude can you stop being such an autistic combative retard?Nobody is trying to fight you.
>>98654248Ogryns, CGC and Outcasts only have one plastic kit each. There ain't gonma be a big box for them niggas.
>>98656154What's the outcast box?Did i miss something?
>>98656367The Hive Scum box is the general one, but Outcasts are basically second to none in "just use whatever to represent them" kitbash potential.
>>98656384Oh i thought there had been like a dedicated gang box for Outcasts released that i had somehow missed going by how you guys were talking about it.
>>98654051Buy an ad
>>98656550It's really unusual that the Hive Scum box only gives you one sprue when every other plastic kit consists of two identical sprues. If they doubled it, the Hive Scum box would basically be an Outcasts gang minus the leader. That'd be fine because they're mechanically very leader-dependent and you should be able to pick your own. Usually from the random resin kits FW made.
>>98657555They were x3 packed in an Outcast gang box when they first come out. And somehow James Workshop did a bit of brainstorming and tell the production to retire this kits and turn it into the much more expensive one pack hive scum instead. People keep asking them why tf the Outcast gang only up on sale for like 2 weeks. The kit is small because that's pretty much 90% of what you can give a hive scum in N17.
>>98657555>It's really unusual that the Hive Scum box only gives you one sprue when every other plastic kit consists of two identical spruesA wrong statement (Hangers on, Justicars, possibly the Ashwings, possibly other stuff too are all one sprue)

>>98652143This guy x10
>>98656671don't need to, the number of downloads now makes it almost certain that at least 3/4's of the threads posters chose Necrodamus.
>>98655747Can you answer the fucking question? I'd be willing to compare the two and maybe choose necroraw if it has a single fucking document offline solution.
>>98657577Same thing happened with the Ogryn where the Slave Ogryn gang was while supplies last and then the Ogryn box was a third the number of Ogryn for half the price.
>>98652143Spyrers?
>>98645773>2 rogers
>>98659119>>98659228>>98659270I would ask why you would start a lizard team, but the answer to that is easy, you're a pedophile. So my question would be, why would you start a lizard team without all 7 big lizards?
>>98663110if you can't take lizardmen with a hobgoblin team then you're a scrub bitch who has no place playing tactical skirmish games.
>>98659270Nice, I too have the brutefun lizards, yours are better painted though, mine were done years back when I was pumping out teams on a schedule to try and get the entire selection on hand, didn't do my best work with them.I've had my chaos team on pause for well over a year now, I really need to get back on that project.
>>98663140you're a gay retard. lizards have consistently been one of if not the best races in bloodbowl since they were made. they were intentionally made overpowered so GW could sell minis and they had to get nerfed in recent editions and you can listen to NAF TO guys, they'll tell you how they have to super nerf lizards for rez otherwise like 2/3rds of the tryhards will show up with lizardmen. When we had the /tg/ league tendril won it multiple times with lizards
>>98663174Nothing but a scrub.
>>98663180but enough about you
>>98663220I'm not the moron who can't handle lizardmen and wood elves.
>>98663229you are a moron, thanks for playing, loseryou sure do seethe a lot. is it on account of you suck at blood bowl and got no dick?
>>98663231textbook projection.back before 2016 my local league was dominated 3 years in a row by vampires.LRB6 vampires.
>>98663238sounds like you are bad at blood bowl and that you have trisomy
>>98663259Chirp when you can take lizards
>>98663300cry more, fatso. idk how you can be so retarded that you cry about GW changing the rules so they can sell more books and minis, but not recognize that pretty much every team that was introduced after 3rd edition but before the LRB era was over powered as fuck because GW wanted to sell more minis via powercreep. hell, fucking cyanide understood it. Lizardmen and wood elves were both BB2 preorder bonus teams and then they charged players for norse, undead and necro before bundling all of the shitty/stunty teams with a few decent teams because they couldn't sell people haflings because they weren't OP
>>98663325videogamers don't have what it takes to be /tg/, scrub.
>>98663438learn 2 read
>>98663450learn to play
>>98663593learn to not be a gay retard who loses to vamps
>>98663599The teams are all more or less evenly balanced, when you know how to play the distinction between khemri and wood elves is negligible
>>98663809no they aren't retardo. that's why some teams have significant higher winning percentages than others >orcs and halflings are exactly the samelmao, retard
>>98663833winrates don't mean fuck all in a vacuum.who is playing them? how experienced are they? how are they playing them? how have they built their roster? (for teams like orcs/humans/underworld that's a huge deal).winrates hover around 50% within a statistical margin of error, the teams are balanced. The only time distinctions are clear is when you have a noob playing something like halflings/vampires/khemri against a seasoned veteran playing lizardmen or wood elves, and even then the vet can get diced.but you take a seasoned vet and give them khemri against a noob at the end of their first year of playing lizardmen (so not wet behind the ears) and the vet can absolutely roll right over the lizards. And an important factor is are you a player or a follower? do you just go to bbtactics (or wherever) and build the suggested roster and play in the suggested way, or are you the kind of player who takes frenzy on an assassin when everyone is telling you to go multi-block? Do you take pro as a skill after everyone has blodge, or do you go for things like strip ball and hail mary?because one of those is a player the way a housewife making kraft dinner is a chef.
>>98664005I don't think frenzy works with stab, retardo. you're entire argument is retarded. teams didn't all hover around 50%. during LRB6 Wood elves had a win rate over 60% in NAF and halflings were like 30%. Same thing with progression, Lizards had like a 65% win rate in black box on fumbbl from like 1100 or 1200 to like 1700 tv. taking shitty skills like hail mary pass isn't going to make you better or play better. you're just a retard, fatso
>>98664037HA! Nothing proves you're a newfag wannabe-grog like this.Frenzy on assassin WAS secret tech like, 15 years ago, but by the time of 2016's release it was well known.
>>98664046I never played dark elves because I'm not a faggot like you. frenzy doesn't work with stab. stabbing isn't a block action so it doesn't generate a pushback or a second block. it was niche as fuck and retarded. you had to block a player and then stab in place of the second block. so your super special tech is throwing a blockless block. So in order to do your retarded ass play you needed to play dark elvestake an assassin even though no one took assassins back then because they were too expensive and the blitzers and witches were betterskill up the assassinand then take frenzy over a more useful skill like dodge or block you're whole fucking argument is retarded and niche, this is why you got mogged by vamps, fatso
>>98664092yeah yeah, walk it back, gotta keep up that pretense of being a grog, eh?protip: in blood bowl it doesnt matter what team/teams you play, you end up playing AGAINST them all, so you become familiar with them all.
>>98664145>why didn't you remember this one weird interaction from 1 team you never played as that involved a positional no one took taking a skill no one took>all the teams are the samelmao, you are retarded. halflings are not as good as lizards or woodelves
>>98664182at this point the display is just sad, everyone who was actually playing at the time is quite aware that you're faking it
>>98664202nah, everyone realizes you are a fat retard. if lizards and wood elves weren't an issue they wouldn't have gotten nerfed and they wouldn't be constantly starved for gold and skills in NAF, fatso. Pretty sure the first like 4 or 5 BB2 world championships were won by lizards as well
>>98664005A balanced game wouldn't have tiers determined by the game writer, and gnomes, halflings, and ogres are pretty clearly worse than the rest.
>>98665638That's a litmus test, it separates the nogames from the gamers.
>>98666598nah, you're retarded. in the 90s GW released a bunch of OP teams to increase profits and now the NAF has to make different tiered rulespacks to try to balance this shit
>>98666646Nope, if you actually played the game, and the impossible given your age, played in the era you're posing as, you'd know things like Dwarfs were considered to be an utter shit team, then during the LRB era a player showed how they're actually quite good if you play them correctly and just like that the illusion of their tier position vanished.Halflings for instance are only a bad team on paper if you look at the roster, but the roster doesn't advertise with a giant neon sign the fact that EVERY halfling team starts with a chef and enough tv spare to induce deeproot every game, and deeproot chef halflings are on par with every roster.
>>98666683deeproot chef flings are not on par with every roster, they are still fucking flings. they still get raped by strip ball wood elves, for instance. if they were a normal team, retard, then they would have had a 50% winrate in NAF and blackbox and they had like a 30% win rate. no one thought dorfs were ass, just that they were boring, retardo. this is why you got raped by vamps, you're retarded. that's why you love hail mary pass witch elves
This thread has proven to me that we need to contain all the bloodbowl faggots in their own thread. Their gay ass fucking fantasy sportsball game never belonged alongside actual wargames to begin with.
