Do dragons exist in 40k? The Cathay dragons being able to shapeshift into people makes me wonder if during the war in heaven if their were non exodite shapeshifting dragon people. Dragons Ogres kinda exist as zoats

Tyranids are the equivalent of dragons

that's why they're named after a tyrannosaurus
>>

exodite knights' mounts are known as "dragons" no matter what their actual shape is, and I think to remember there was a short story about an imperial surveying expedition finding a planet with dragons (huge flying reptiloids and other dinosaur-like animals capable of breathing plasma as a natural weapon) and deciding to exterminatus de whole thing just in case a tyranid hive fleet passed by and assimilated the whole thing into their genetic database
so no, there aren't actual dragons in 40k, but there are similar things

Vect is said to own several space dragons in his personal menagerie.

Higher up medling.
Pic related is a dragon sculpted by same person without gw limitations.
>>
You have Heldrakes which are machines mutated into Dragons, the Void Dragon itself though it doesn't look like a dragon, and the Tyranid Harridan which is effectively a dragon.

There's also the mountain of the Exodites Dragon Knights that just came out, but you might be looking more for winged variants, I assume?

Gorechild and gorefather are both bladed with dragon teeth

I was more wondering about long lived psychic lizard people that can turn into cute Asian girls. That would be a neat dark Heresy villain. The noble isn't chaos she is a big greedy lizard

>That would be a neat dark Heresy villain
that's easy anon; make up your own alien race of shapeshifting dragons capable of turning into cute Asian girls

I suggest you go for a Vampyr instead.

Mica-dragons from the same planet as Ambulls.

Mica-dragons are probably 40k's equivalent of Sandworms. They're only draconic in a vague symbolic sense.

I know they exist, space wolves ran into some that tried to eat them after a drunken party/feast
I didn't know if there was some 2nd edition or third 40k old lore to justify dragons

In more recent fluff Fenriz is vagely suggested to be a former Maiden World so if that's true, then you're probably dealing with something closer to Exodite dragons, aka fantasy dinosaurs.

Why's the green one making jazz hands?
>>
>>98635645
it was the style at that time
