>>98635099The very first commander deck I bought was Edgar Markov and I still use him somewhat regularly. People are still scared of him even though he's long since been surpassed in speed and power by new precon commanders that can shit out 30 +1/+1 counters per turn on themselves.Though I don't know if it would count since it's been so upgraded that only a handful of cards from the precon remain. Ditto Kaalia and Ranar the Everwatchful.The only precon I regularly play with that's still mostly intact as a precon is the Necron deck from the 40k crossover. It has a few upgrades but is 90% original and still hold its own in high B3 games. B4 is a bit iffy for it.

>>98635099The first two precons I bought were the GB from strixhaven (2021) and the GB from bloomburrow, I put them together (with Chatterfang as the commander) and added only one or two cards from outsider either (warren soul trader) and it became too strong I had to switch to other decks
>>98635099>TQA few times. Kyler was probably my favorite. The theme and feel of him is something I really like. But him being five mana kind of keeps him in a tough spot so I haven't played him as much as my other decks that didn't start as precon decks. I've been meaning to tinker with him a bit more to try and raise him to about where some of my other decks are but it will likely take a good amount of reworking.

I tried Pauper EDH but I didn't like it. Workshopping my own variant.Consider the following:>Your commander can be any Uncommon/Rare non-Legendary creature.Main thing I disliked about Pauper EDH is that half the decks are just regular ass commander decks. But also, all my favorite creatures that I'd think would make for a fun deck centerpiece are Rare.>60 card singleton deck, 30 HPTighter, faster games.>Cards in your main deck can be Common or Uncommon.Wider deckbuilding.That's it. Thoughts?

this looks like a potentially interesting build but i cant understand why so many decs are running spells like 'you and an opponent draw X cards' i get that the idea is they pay for it, and then you draw cards, but the more cards they have of their own, the less likely they're going to want to leave mana up to cast yours?
