A while back I had an idea for a cyoa called "the rainswept expanse"It was an exploration focused cyoa where you were thrown into a world were an almost constant rain was pouring from the sky that sapped the strength from the humans it touched. But if your body is used to not being washed as often, it doesn't nearly need to produce as much skin oils or sebum (hair oils) to compensate for the protective layers being stripped. So they were probably pretty well off. Also, without the processed foods, seed oils and sugars the modern diet has, people didn't get skin conditions or tooth problems nearly as often.

It's not quite fair to say I "hated" these games, I had fun with Master Chief, enjoyed the soundtrack, etc, but they were seriously overrated and completely dominated the nerd culture at the time. I ended up resenting them, but they also bridged the infamous jock vs nerd rivalry and I later realized I don't hate guns themselves, just the hyper competitive culture of these games that even then I wasn't skilled enough to really participate in (from what I understand even decent players can't handle online FPS play now).
