Can we all agree Reality Fracture as both a set and a history has been managed very poorly even by WotC standards?
>>98661011it's shit. i really hate these gimmick story sets and the push of these boring retarded characters. just make interesting fantasy worlds, everything else is secondary. like, if they wanted a surreal set they could have done xerex. but the reason for all this is bad writing. they should really scrap everything and start over but they can't write to save their lives.
>>98661011>>98661055The game is dead you fools. And it has been dead for a while. It's like complaining that the 38th season of the Simpsons isn't funny anymore. What are you still doing here?
>>98661055>interesting fantasy worldsCharacters sell IPs, not vistasWotc is correct in focusing on characters, the problem is that they are lefty retards
Me & my friends are starting to get into magic (no commander) i bought the foundations starter collection. Is there anything else i should get? Or what boosters should a new player buy?
Are you ready for the future?
>>98661174Not until I know what next year's UB sets will be
>>98661011I disagree. There are things Wizards of the Coast has mismanaged way worse than this.
>>98661011>>98661287Yeah I was thinking this is well within the scope of what I'd consider average fare. Could be better, could be worse.

>>98661011Yes. I blame the set designers, the powercreep and the lead team equally. This is the first time where powerlevel conflicted so openly with a set's goal. They should have went for a PW centric set or for a what-if set and not both, even keeping the alt-PWs, just not focused on them at the low level design.People remember the planeshifted cards fondly enough for them to want to imitate it for this set, and yet they pussied out massively for no discernable reason

>>98661538This set is basically them trying to make 3 sets in one: an hexaven set, a new planar chaos and a planeswalker centric set
>>98661546This, just this and the result is a massive failure in all those attempts
Do you like elder sphinxes?
>>98661706At least some of this will see more play than retarded dragons
>>98661706No, wasted card slots. Sphinxes and dragons are BORING.
>>98661706Only one, maybe two seem even remotely playable outside Commander.
It's really symbolic that they're killing off Jace in the era of UB, when he was explicitly intended to be one of Magic's mascots
>>98661850He failed as a mascot and they tried to replace him with both loot and fblthp.
>>98661001>Who is your favorite character?JIN-GITAXIAS
Jace is not dead though.
>>98661867He is not dead.
>>98661873my wife
>>98661706I like the art in the second column. Each one has an aspect of Jace on display.
>>98661473I really feel like WOTC is showing their hand of how truly retarded they are (or how utterly willing they are to move on from nuwalkers and focus on UBslop instead) that they didn't see "Evil Gideon" as a potential mcguffin to pull out of their pocket for a later set and just nuked him alongside the entire rest of the echoverse
>>98661011Ir's step above most of the shit WotC does nowdays
So far the spoiler reception has been overwhelmingly positive and hype is reaching new levels.Outside /mtg/, that is.
>>98661898The elimination of the Echoverse in one set is a decision (a mistake) people will talk about for a decade. Is so retarded and absurd no one but Hasbro corpos could understand.
>>98661907Yea, everyone's dying to play this
>>98661932The fact that you need to use slop to prove your point speaks volumes.
>>98661934Can you slop something that is already slop?
>>98661960Yeah your next step will be posting the Transit Mage, card I've only seen here.
>>98661907I know I'm loving how many new commander options this set is bringing with all the legendaries. So many of these cards go right into my [insert commander here] deck!
>>98661983Correct. I know you're being le ironic, but that's the truth.Like I do not get why you do not get, so many people, mostly here though. The Magic is EDH. Everything else is "60 card formats". There's so many commander cards in this deck, which will make it sell like hot cakes. That's what will happen. No matter what you think.
>>98661916It's not even the first alternate multiverse, they can just make another Planar Chaos down the line
>>98661706These are all really boring.
>>98661907In Nebraska for example?
>>98661993The fact you think Magic=EDH is enough to disregard your opinion and avoid any further interaction. Have fun in your tabletop casual game for faggots
haven't played much Modern since the bans.wtf happened to the meta? Amulet Titan is almost non-existent now
>>98661001what is up with that chain wrapping around the spoopy ghost
>>98662189Lotus Field ban means people have to actually know how to play the deck
>>98661011Nope. Don't know what's got you in a tizzy but Reality Fracture is the best set all year.
>>98662034>disregard your opinionThis is not my opinion, this is a statement of the fact.It does not matter at all what you think. If 90% of people using Magic card play EDH, EDH is MTG.When a new player is introduced to Magic, it's not through Standard or Modern. It's through EDH. And they very rarely go to play the "60 card formats".What you are doing is just clinging to semantics rejecting the reality. And I played Commander maybe twice in my life, with borrowed decks. I don't care for it.But my LGS? People mostly play Commander there, and some limited.I despise Commander with every fiber of my being, but coming to terms with the fact that this is what Magic is now, just helped me to move away. At slower pace, because I still play "60 card formats", but I don't care anymore.Find a way to cope. But not let the vocaroo lull you into sleep, it's unhealthy.
>>98662390The Geists of Innistrad are clad all in chains which they can manipulate as though part of their body. It's a visual metaphor for them being bound to the plane and not able to move on.
I AM THE CURSE
The story and artwork read a lot more interesting when you realize it's a jab at techbros and AI slop.
>>98662419I don't think WotC is smart enough to incorporate a theme like that subtly. You're projecting a larger idea onto a story that was really just meant to be nonstop melodrama.
>>98661001Who is your favorite characterThe Metathran twins Thaddeus and Agnate Im bummed that metathran never get references in any call back sets.
>>98662426So it's confirmed now that Yuriko is from the Neon era?
why Thalia had to die?
>>98662558Did she?
>>98662558It says right there she survived She's the survivor
>>98662419>>98662458I thought it was that, but I found it more petulant than interesting.>Jace is the techbro with his multiverse startup making knockoff versions of everything based on a large mental model>Kill him and replace him with a woman of color.
Still waiting for the Teysa Karlov card. One a ghost and the fractured reality version alive.
>>98662558Depending on who you ask, it was either:Natural progression of her character arc. She literally created the Order of Saint Traft. Spirits are big deal on Innistrad, so she now joined him in the spirit realm. And also the fact that Traft and the Order were big deal in the Emrakul arc lends credence to my standing theory that Jace is fine Emarkul is coming back.Or it's white genocide. By the means of a card game.
>>98662419Well this thing goes nuts with Shrieking Drake. Not that it matters on a 4 MV 2/2, but eh its something. They typically try to avoid printing ham sandwich cards these days.
>>98662719Bruh what are you talking about, Thalia is literally alive, and white is powerful in standard with representation in major decks of every archetype
>>98662767That's the beauty of made up worlds. All can be true.
With Alchemy dying, what cards from there do you wish were reformatted and printed in paper? Pic related for me, I think using experience counters could work as a replacement for intensity.
>>98662789I at least hope they will repurpose art.
>>98662789>Alchemy dyingI'm sorry, what?
>>98662819https://magic.wizards.com/en/news/mtg-arena/state-of-the-formats-2026
>>98662819MTGA has decided that Alchemy has generally fallen out of favor, at least is not worth the effort to continue thinking about. Reality Fracture will get the final Alchemy set, followed by the Alchemy format being retired. The Alchemy cards that are digital rebalancing of real cards will all collectively be reverted on Arena, and the Alchemy cards that exist now shall be limited only to Historic, Timeless, Brawl, and Competitive Brawl.
>>98661898>>98661916Agreed. Having some resurrected characters or alt versions stick around in the main timeline is common practice when doing alternate universe crap (all they had to do was take cues from their upcoming Marvel™ What If™ set for which RFA was surely the testbed).Easily could have kept Evil Gideon in the back pocket, done some new power creep with both versions existing on one card (Thalia+Ghost Thalia), or used for future story fodder (Innistrad vampire vs werewolf rehash but oops all Markovs).
>>98662789There's no reason this card could not exist in paper, it merely tracks a variable that is not often tracked.
>>98662857There's been cards that say you can't cast them in the first few turns of the game already, so that's just a step up from there. The cards that have a different effect if you're the starting player or not could probably work, too.
has mtg reached a point where both players are better off showing the top 7 cards of their starting deck and negotiating who won?i just don't feel the strategy in this game anymore
Just a super token that you put in your hand.
>>98661011it's KINO you damn foolrest in pepperinos Jace Beleren
>>98662885that's literally how they play magic homeboy
>>98662885Play a real format thenOr just a better deck. People say shit like "the game is all luck" and run fucking boggles
>>98662819Arena is well over 50% Standard play, and out of that 50% 93% of it is best of one. So, Arena exists for two players right now: F2P (and WotC doesn't give a shit about F2P population) and whales. Alchemy also eats up development resources so that shit is going away permanently, and good riddance. Note that it is far too late to actually save Arena in any capacity and they are clearly working on a client to get actual 4 player Commander up and running but even then I doubt it will attract anyone serious to it.
>>98662885No, it's about who wins the die roll to go first in game 1.
>>98662897I'd imagine you could make a lot of "conjure onto the battlefield" effects just create a token instead.
>>98662823>imagine wasting money buying alchemy cardssorry, not sorry NO REFUND LOL
>>98662917Nobody did that, anon.

>no more locals>no more modern>no more legacy>no more paper standard>just commander tuesdays and fnm 4-8 pod commanderis... is this what wotc envisioned as the future of mtg?
>>98662947Jace is a beloved character outside /mtg/ just like Loot.
>>98662941i hope you're right and nobody fall for the SCAM that was alchemy lel
i actually liked alchemy, not because i thought the cards were good but because there was a sweet deal where you got 20 alchemy packs + 2 gold packs for 10k or 15k gold which was a great deal if you only cared about wildcards and the 2 gold packs
>>98662953only mentally ill people hated Jace, and normalfags and chuds loved Jace
>>98662789I actually really liked Elf Ponder and White Thoughtseize.Alchemy is weird. It's by far the most casual format but half the people play whatever tier 1 deck shits all over everything else, and it's so wildly unbalanced that there is always a deck each month that wins every game for free before eating a ban or getting rotated. But you can brew weird decks and still win because half your games will be against starter deck-tier garbage, even when you're Mythic (funnily if you're dumb enough to care about Arena rank you can grind to top 1200 Mythic in like a day spamming Alchemy, it's comical that a casual format where every real deck has a 70%+ winrate uses that same ranking system as the Standard players).
I can't tell if I'm getting my lore mixed up. Was Chandra ever depicted as a psychopath who burned her parents' home down or was that Lina in DotA? I'm aware they did a retcon of Chandra but I forget if she was ever depicted as a psychopathic little shit.
>TQThe one and only. >>98661174Lemme guess, they will give Kaervek a redemption arc and all his crimes will be forgiven?
in lieu of Alchemy they might want to come up with something else with very short rotations like Block Constructed.my friend started playing recently and only has cards from two different sets (Marvel and Hobbit) and his new player Standard queue is funny as fuck. a lot of the decks are already borderline Block Constructed like "here are all the villain cards I opened in Marvel, plus some unplayable Mythic rares from other sets that I am splashing" or the same for Hobbit dwarves, etc.Pioneer, Historic, etc are all trash and when he asks me what format to play his only real choice is queuing up Standard and hoping he gets more starter decks than meta decks.
I only play Pioneer on Arena.
>>98661011Story is better than whatever the fuck march of the machines was
>>98663042This and I never understand the retarded decision WotC made the moment they created Alchemy, a (another) mistake they are paying now the consequences about. Instead of adding Modern or at least a "Explorer" experience or working towards have a complete Pioneer formats with ALL the cards they are working in a client for 4 players... They clearly dont give a fuck about Arena and the Magic population.Still i have fun with my decks in Pioneer.
But it's still not Pioneer.

>>98663095The token has "beginning of your upkeep" whereas the text on the creatures says "beginning of your combat step" Also, you forgot a the closing ' " ' so it looks like they put a shield counter on him every combat step. It's also weird that they aren't artifacts or that they're creatures at all. Or that he's Naya at all. I'd think he'd be Azorius at most. His abilities being bare of name also looks weird. My recollection of Genshin gameplay was skills having cooldowns. You can simulate that via tapping since he has haste anyway.

this game is trash
>>98664838>like how jace could suddenly do what bolas could only dream about, in the latter's own meditation realm evenWhat? Bolas would never in a million fucking years go ahead with a plan that demands his own annihilation. Are you retarded? At any rate, the scope of opportunity was the combination of both the Meditation Realm's ability to manifest thought and the fact that Jace had analyzed the shape and contents of the multiverse through Loot's brain. Bolas never met Loot nor knew of Loot's potential as a multiversal quantifier. Even so, Bolas would have negative interest in affecting the entire multiverse via his own thoughts because that would FUCKING KILL HIM. Just like it was going to kill Jace in 100% of all timelines. There was literally no way this ended without Jace dying.
>>98664945>There was literally no way this ended without Jace dying.and now that you've accepted wotc's ad hoc handwave you open up another flaw - where's the drama? if jace dies either way then what point would it be to care about him, or hell even feel anything about the story?
>>98664993Just because he dies no matter what doesn't mean the act wouldn't have consequences. He was going to burn himself up rewriting the multiverse. Yes, he'd die, but so would the 9.7 trillion others as they get systematically overwritten by their conjured alternatives. The emotional point is allowing him to die as himself, as the man he used to be, and not a madman burning the cosmos in a deluded bid for a vague improvement (which, if you actually examine the Echoverse in any level of detail, is not really very improved at all, but The Theorist was too busy deluding himself to acknowledge that). There's hating a story and there's just not fucking understanding basic writing anon. You can hate it all you like. But your arguments fucking suck.
>>98665001I love nerds that understand mtg lore… you should explain even more to me!
>>98665001>well you see the emotional point is feeling sorry for jace>when we've never been on his home plane of vryn>we've never seen him have a goal of his prior to FRA (it's always him reacting to problems like the eldrazi, guildpact, being stranded on lonesome island, etc)>this heel turn was only seeded 3 years ago in MoM (jace has no inherent desire to rewrite the multiverse prior, he never at any point relates to bolas's motivations)the point is if there was a chance he could've been saved then the emotional weight would be bigger, but that would also imply jace was worth being the protagonist of mtg ever since he was presented in lorwyn back in 2007, which he certainly wasn't
>>98664865>Riftbound is taking most of the competitive Magic crowd. I know at least 2 people who have completely sold out of Magic and moved to Riftbound with more still picking it up without fully dropping Magic, but scaling back their involvement with the latter. I've heard other people say the same is happening at their LGS.Mtg is down to 2 nights a month at mine. While Lorcana, Riftbound and FaB run at least once a week, even their chess club runs more frequently than magic.
>>98661706Jesus those ones on the right are awful. They look like parodies of those ridiculously busy pokemon cards
>>98665051It's notable that Lorcana and Riftbound borrow heavily from mtg mechanics, with superior IP to boot

>>98665001>Story chants "Jace must die" from chapter 1>Expects the readers to feel a strong emotion when Jace diesMagic setting the bar for itself so fucking low that the players actually think this is what passes for dramatic writing.
>>98665063Coincidentally not even riftbound dares to copy Counterspell, inb4 you say countermagic is the devil
>>98665066Weird almost like designing load-bearing cards causes lots of problems long-term which is why dimir midrange has been a top 5 deck for 80% of the game's lifespan.
>>98663095how's my revised arlecard
>>98665072High skill cards have nothing to do with color representation or that casuals must like them. Will other tcgs copy brainstorm + shuffle effects? No they wont. But dont tell me brainstorming + fetch doesnt feel good
>>98665051this is basically what's happening to mtg at my lgs too. it got choked out on both sides: wotc not providing support for standard/pioneer(lol)/modern/legacy and fierce competition from a new wave of tcgs. the only thing people seem to show up for anymore is edh. went from 4 mtg nights a week to just 2.
Reminder: The narrative is currently that MtG cards being expensive is a good thing, because it means that the game is FLOURISHING with players! Nobody actually plays Lorcana, Riftbound, Pokemon, or YGO. They just crack packs to collect, which is why staples are so cheap. No other reason at all.
>>98665084>High skill>Brainstorm + fetchMate you might have consumed a little too much kool aid if you think this is a difficult play. Especially when both cards do, in fact, warp the game and suppress an enormous amount of strategies.
>>98665086>flourishing with commander players>nobody actually plays pokemonThat tweet said nothing wrong
>>98665092YGO in fact does not have cards stay $70 a copy for over a year, even when they go in every deck, and I can't imagine a universe anyone is buying these packs just to collect them.
>>98665091I never said it was a difficult play - anyone can cast brainstorm then fetch - the skill is what cards to fetch away to your libraryAnd dont misinterpret meta share with suppression, legacy dimir moonshadow beatdown is a fair deck that doesnt win all the time, but grinders gravitate to it because it's the best at leveraging skill to make the 50/50 into a 55/45
>>98665086It's not wrong. Whales buying all the boosters is a good thing. You can build a commander deck for under 20€ because they rip open so many boosters that most cards costs nothing now. Of course 60-cards decks are a different thing, but these formats are all dead, so who cares?
This card is slightly heavily played, picrel. I don't use inner sleeves hards, but do y'all think that anyone'd care if I used a single inner hard for this card such that it's not as flimsy, while the rest of the deck is using regular inner sleeves?inb4 buy inner hards for the entire deck. fuck you.
>>98665102Obv /mtg/ cares because the whole point of this thread's existence is to convince you that going back to 60card is better for wotcLike can you imagine if edh brackets were implemented and people played fnm b2/b3 and commander parties became even more of the norm? This place would meltdown overnight
>>98662408In lore they use the chains to keep bound to earth (innistrad) otherwise they are pulled to the sky or to the sea and become trapped there.>>98662416Not bad honestly but I find it hard to think of a deck for this (outside of commander)>>98662419Makes me remember of Future Sight lion. I'm sorry, I'm sure Reality Fracture is a fine set, I just absolutely hate Jace and will not play the set where Jace is a keyword and every card bears his tiny silhouette
>>98665329Reality Fracture is by no means a "fine" set anon
>>98665086>RiftboundI dont trust Riot at all. 2 of their games outside LeL were complete flukes. This game will go the way of Bamco TCGs in a year or when Riot fucks up an expansion. Ive been burnt by that company twice, Id be retarded if I fall for it again.
>>98665493LoL itself was taken from dota-allstars.com (I'm that old yes) so you could say that the only original successful game Riot has made is Valorant
>>98661888Konstrari has his tattoos on the puppets, Lorehold has his peepers peeking out of the student badges, Vigorbloom has a hooded statue behind her...Dunno about Stingerquill.I guess Theorix has Jace's faces floating around?
>>98665613Yeah its his face eerily manifesting itself like in Theorist's Proxy
>>98665051In our LGS, FNM attendance is lower than the equivalent of FaB, Riftbound and One Piece. There's commander players that don't play at FNMs, but they come to play to the store during FNMs and typically there's more of them than players in the actual FNM.
>>98665493Yep, I was there for Legend of Runeterra. It had a decent first year or so but Riot quickly pulled the plug the second player numbers started dropping off
>>98665896It was Runeterra then 2XKO. The former was a huge burn but I decides fobgive them another try with the fighting game and I could already feel the EoS earlier this year and I was right. I could easily hop on the game since everyone is doing it but out of principle I wont. I COULD be wrong but I dont want to be the idiot that fell for a company's scam 3x. On the bright side, this is probably the best time to buy quitting mtg bulks because Ive seen staples being sold for 10% the market price just to break into riftbound.
Riot game is a failed company they just were lucky to capitalize the MOBA phenomenon
>>98665768>"Fuck you" --Ingris Stingerquill

>>98664865>Riftbound is taking most of the competitive Magic crowdok and? This massive decline was already outlined before riftbound even existed.
>>98666185The news of his death are greatly exaggerated.
>>98666185tl;drAfter getting blown up in March of the Machine, Jace's egos all became independent and one of them freaked out HARD, basically screaming that he was never going to allow this again. That one managed to assume direct control and began cutting out his other egos every time they tried to dissuade him. Because this one was his cold intellect, it had an advantage over the others as the most powerful telepath. He made a plan to rebuild the universe on poorly understood principles, but illusions need substance to be made real, and so a multiversal illusion needs multiversal substance; eat everything to become everything.Vraska, Ajani, Chandra, and Garruk all make the very obvious decision of not wanting to die, and go collect Jace's disparate egos to shove them all back into Jace at the same time (Theorist may be the single strongest but he only took control so effectively because he separated systematically, he can't fight off all the other Jaces at once). In the fray, Vraska finds an opening to stab him in the heart. Reassembled into Jace proper once more, he accepts his death. But he also sends his planeswalker spark into the only illusory construct that had no mirror; it was basically to be his replacement rather than himself, a young gorgon girl who was probably his mental image of having a daughter with Vraska but they don't say it outright. She gets to be a planeswalker now and inherits most of Jace's telepath powers. Everyone gives Jace a small funeral and Emrakul casually leaves the moon to eat the fake multiverse because apparently Eldrazi are a multiversal defense system more than recycling.
>my wife is a 4 mana do-nothingMy policy to always include her in legacy and vintage might have to rely on her older versions.Speaking of which, I've been enjoying this as my main deck recently. >>98665493>Success is a flukeYeah genius that's kinda how it works. You do your best job, throw shit at the wall, then see what sticks. If it was possible to make successful games (or any type of entertainment) a formula people would already be doing it. However the list of major gamedevs that made shit games is the same as the list of major gamedevs. Even Valve, the beloved poster child of "good gamedevs" made Ricochet, Artifact, and Dota Underlords which were objectively immense failures so bad they make Riot look like geniuses.
>>98666609Please understand the fox was "distressing his chickens".
>>98666450>>98666459IMO it's phelia > animate dead > palace jailer, with maybe animate dead a little higher since you want slight preference to not picking the same thing you're passing.I did pick phelia though, 4-0 so far with an ok deck. haven't seen crypt, phelia is overperforming as always.
>>98666450does it change anything if the multi color land has taps as separate lines or a single line?
>>98666841no, I think it's only templated that way on the shocks because the separate mana abilities are inherited from the basic land types they have.
Lorcana is the future.
>>98665768This is better than a rare from last zendikar>>98666450I like ignoble just because I like to pick mana accelerators earlier in cube. Other than that Phelia is really good. Animate Dead is a premium reanimator card (Faithless Loothing could come back too).
Hasbro is the Sony of card games.
>>98666993when is the online client coming out?
>>98665076The activated ability seems all wrong. In order to do damage your opponent needs to have multiple creatures but also creatures that have appreciable toughness. The number of cases where five -1/-1 counters WON'T kill whatever you put them on is pretty limited; particularly when your opponent can see the ability on board.Given that this ability reads '5t: gain 10 life' most of the time, it shouldn't be black red.My suggestion would be something like:>First Stirke>When ~ deals damage to a creature, put that many Ash counters on it.>Creatures get -1/-0 for each Ash counter on them.>~gets +1/+0 for each ash counter on creatures you don't control>At the beginning of each player's upkeep, they lose X life, where X is the number of creatures they control with Ash counters on them. And make the elemental burst an instant (and possibly BW) that removes all counters from creatures you don't control. This would work as intended with Ash counters while also being playable against +1/+1 counter decks and other similar things.
>>98667156Thanks for the feedback anon. Another thread had a different guy suggest to not make a unique counter for her so I moved to his replacement of -1/-1s.

>>98666782>You do your best job, throw shit at the wall, then see what sticksThis argument doesnt really work with Riot. They pull the plug really early if their project doesnt automatically do LoL numbers on its first 6 months. Even if the game shows promise theyre very fickle and have done more failures than successes. Its an unsustianable model compounded by the fact that they set things up for failure of higher ups dont really like the project (Riot Forge, 2XKO). In the latter's case, that one has it coming because it was 10 years in development by people who onlu wanted to build a game for themselves, but Riot Forge or Legends of Runeterra didnt deserve that treatment.

>>98669185Absolutely wrong and a display of poor understanding of game and format dynamics, the problematic card was and still is tomb raider, swiftspear actually gave red players an extra layer of complexity in deciding whenever it was worth risking going all in (tall) on it and being blown out by removal or delaying the damage bit by bit risking for their opponent to find answers/lifegain.
>>98669580I heard a lot about riftbound, especially from competitive players, I really don't care to look into it though but what I gathered is that it doesn't have a rng resource base and the tournaments pay well, they have infinite riot money behind them, so if that's the reason why "pros" keep shilling it, chances are it can live a long time.

>>98670117It has good prizes and competitive support, with promo cards selling for easy 1 grand. You can place 30th and still be able to break even. Gameplay-wise its ALL tempo. Theres like 1 combo solitaire deck and thats it. Every game of Riftbound is just tempo. Not all players would gravitate to that kind if environment but I can see why people lap it up so much. Like that other anon above, I'm skeptical of Riot. The true test for this game is if they dont skimp out in support after a year or 2.

So WotC replaced Jace with a younger female character that might appeal more to a different demographic?
>>98670805I wouldn't call it a replacement. Tam has been around since the beginning of the "Jace is being even more of a dick than usual" arc.
>>98669595I'm not great at draft and I only glanced briefly at it, but it looks pretty good to me, other than you having not nearly enough creatures. Usual expectation is that you want 14-17 (with this archetype not having much reason to be an exception), and I count 10 if I'm generous and call Unexpected Party a creature. Some of the creatures you do have are very nice, but you've not got enough of them. If the ones at the top are your only other options then definitely chuck in the provisioner, and probably put the goblin and smaug in as well - even if they're not a perfect fit for your archetype you need more creatures. I can't remember what they all do but I'd take out key to the side door, at least one vow to erebor, maybe a second one too. You've got quite a lot of removal and combat tricks and not a lot of dwarves or equipment so I think you'll probably be a bit slower than most dwarf decks - when playing it keep in mind not to throw away your limited supply of dwarves and equipment, and that you'll probably benefit from the game going on long. Focus on surviving and drawing into unexpected party, lonely mountain, and your smaugs, and be conservative with your trades in the meantime. Ended up writing more than I thought I would, and now I actually look you posted this 8 hours ago so your run's probably over either way, but good luck if not.
