How exactly do you even get people into this hobby. All my friends like the lore for 40k but they all don’t seem to even care for AOS. I was thinking of maybe getting them into spearhead but they all seem adamant that GW is ripping them off since they models are unpainted and they refuse to buy an incomplete product. They do have the money for it since they spend thousands on gacha games so that’s not a problem.

Fighting an enemy with a massive army who's outmaneuvering you because you're shit at necromancy? So managed to get in a game with my Ogors yesterday! Been kinda slacking on games and so my buddy wanted to fight Ogors with his chaos list, so I dragged my half finished guys out (literally for some because some dickhead was supposed to send me the top halves of the hunters for my cavalry)Gotta say Ogors play very nice, Ran Redd, 2 reinforced glutton blocks, bloodpelt, reinforced hunter cav, and grell. Gluttons did exactly what I needed them to (until they got evaporated by double buffed Chosen, it was like 50 something attacks after I saved like half of them it was still like 38 damage or some insane number.)Hunters on Cav were really good, being able to deep strike them into the back line and have them move around a bit extra. I popped em onto the map edge and popped his chaos sorc off the map and some warriors with them and my bloodpelt. (Bloodpelt is unironically probably one of the best warscrolls in the game right now for non wizard foot heroes, HOLY SHIT decent melee profile, the ranged profile being d3+1 damage with a rend hot damn. Redd is fucking disgusting, self healing, ward bubble, never got to use his spell since I was fighting primarily turbo elite chaos (reinforced double buffed chosen, and reinforced with turbo buffed hero ogroids) but he's just "new big hero is good at launch of new stuff, buy now" and I imagine half his shit will be folded into the faction next edition.Grell is... Fine. Decent shoot profile but the gimmick of retreating and recharging feels like it would be better if I was running Maulbeast Cav otherwise in this game at least it didn't make sense. (not really room for protracted fights when it's basically just kill on contact for either side)The passive ability to take a bite out of enemies at the end of a round is lovely, especially with the permanent heal applied to the unit afterwards. I used Redd to eat my friends Be'lakor since he survived at like 2 hp and I rolled 3 mortals. Felt GREAT.
