What is the best STALKER or STALKER-adjacent RPG out there? I know there are quite a few.

Something that covered anomalies, radiation, good weapon section, etc.

If you don't want to go full gun autism, Ashes Without Number does a good job at everything else.

There are some good Delta Green Stalker homebrews out there.

Does Twilight 2000 have a STALKER book?

No, but someone made a setting book called DEADZONE that is pretty STALKER-inspired.

There is also Aralsk-7. I think it uses a deck of cards for some resolution? I haven't looked into it enough.

If you don't mind rules-light RPGs, ZONES is pretty good. Its build off of Into The Odd, a nu-sr game.

If you like solo-RPGs, I highly recommend "Alone Against the Zone".

Iirc there is an official stalker rpg based on the book. Its a weird system though, diceless.
>>

Yah. Its fully based on Roadside Picnic, not the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise. It's really cool for expanded Roadside Picnic lore and setting, but the system is ass and makes me never want to run it. Kind of a waste of a great setting, desu.

Never trust these.
Several of the files don't match ones that have been around for years.
Its also been happening with the D6 shit lately
>>
>>98712291
Provide those that match.

Nice. Thank you.

Why aren't you providing the files that you say they match?

Hadn't seen those first two, very interesting stuff thanks anon.

Neat.

Give us the files you mention are right and that you had for years. Use something like gofile, it's easy to use to share files.

Piggybacking off this: I've been looking for something that could run both stalker and metro 2033. Anything that could handle both? Or would anything that can run stalker, also run metro?

A lot of the games mentioned in this thread are able to do so.
If you don't hate it having d20 for combat and d6s for other resolutions, I'd say try with Ashes Without Number, the crunch level is mid, it is very flexible, and has great GM tools, and it isn't tied to any Intellectual Property or setting, if you don't want to pirate you can get the free edition and it has all you need to run STALKER or Metro 2033 with it for free, you just add the flavor to it.
Another one I imagine could be useful would be Twilight 2000, it has great slav weapons supplements, I've even seen some of those for free, and it has Deadzone as a supplement too, but don't know how good it is, I've heard it is not so good.
FIST has "Mandelbrot Set" and it could give you some inspiration.
But really, as I said before, most of the systems mentioned here are able to do that.

Otherwise, what sort of game mechanics are you into?

Which ones

Thank you, friend. I often prefer dice pools. The tactile feel of a lot of dice feels more like combat in my head than a single die. Low to mid crunch, too; I have a pretty bad short-term memory, so tons of things to remember slow me down too much. That said, I'm open to trying anything that can get close, flavor-wise, to metro or stalker.

>dice pools
Hmm, dice pools are your thing.
First I'd say try Breachworld, it's the mini six rules, so its low-to-mid-crunch, but with a RIFTS-inspired setting on top (just don't use it), it uses d6 dice pools, there's a pdf called Breach Zones and it adapts Zones stuff to use with Breachworld rules, so it goes with the theme you want. The Breachworld core book is just 1 dollar if you don't want to pirate.

Another one would be adapting STALKER / Metro using the Free League's Year Zero Engine, it uses dice pools, Free League's Twilight 2000 uses this. Deadzone is the dedicated STALKER/Metro-like supplement for these.

I hope this will help you, friend, and I hope someone else could mention other dice pool systems If I missed them.

Mini Six trove is fine
