Combat is best as a culmination of an arc, and as a solution to some surprise stumbling blocks. It shouldn't be the main method for conflict resolution, as that's more a retarded furry approach to things, and daddy Caine gave us better tools.

The most combat filled session we had was in a dark ages game. We were leading the garrison of the local fortress to hunt down the devilspawn (local garou caern). Peppered amongst them were thralls, all armed with silvered weaponry we painstakingly collected the funds for with months of politicking and 8 dots worth of commercial prowess, and a dozen had horses "enhanced" by the near-local Tzimisce NEET in exchange for not ratting him out to the prince.
Shenanigans ensued. True Faith was called upon. Some rock slides. A spirit's corporeal form was smashed. A soul maze was outsmarted. And finally, a climactic mass duel involving fire, Nurgal, and a player who studied the blade™ (Companion book has sword forms and maneuvers) against an ST that relied on brawl and brawn.
All that wasn't nearly enough, especially when the garou shaman tried spamming us with bullshit spells. Until the boon we got from a Cappadocian came in clutch and the sack of malign fetishes we bought from him embedded into the caern tree by arrow rendered their powers nought, their spirit (pun intended) sundered, and their bodies soon compost for the rot that began spreading in the land.
We also later saw some strange folk hovering around the caern, one of which evil to the core with a smile too perfect to exist. It's probably nothing to worry about.

Insert the USB cable into the deceased's rectal port, make sure it's embedded deeply. Caution: do not put a condom over it as it is will act as an insulator, making the procedure impossible.

Let the Etherite set up subject's delayed download to the external drive.
Then, attach the small clamps to the nipples of the deceased. Make sure they're attached firmly, as the body will be seizing violently during the procedure.
Attach the switches to the generator's terminals, then attach the nipple clamps to the switches.
Start the generator and let it work for a minute, ensure a stable performance as it will be critical for the success of the procedure.
Wake up the Etherite, who no doubt have nodded off by now, pour water over him and apply slaps as necessary.
Turn on the player, insert the CD, and set it to play the music at maximum volume. This should help keep the Etherite sufficiently awake to perform the procedure.
Have the Etherite throw the switches. Let the body seize for ten seconds, then switch off the electricity and test for signs of life.
If none are detected, repeat the procedure. Continue until they appear, or the body is too damaged to proceed.
Finally, administer the blanket and cocoa, then let the subject recover from the ordeal.
