Biker Gangs From Space edition
▶Previous edition: >>98603674

▶What is /gwsg/?
A thread to talk about Games Workshop's specialist and spin-off games which fall between the cracks.
Battlefleet Gothic, Blood Bowl, Epic, K*ll Team, Man-o-War, Middle-Earth Strategy Battle Game, Mordheim,
Necromunda, Shadow War: Armageddon, Titanicus, Underworlds, Warcry, Warhammer Quest, Warmaster...
...and any other GW system and board game are welcome.

▶Helpful resources (feel free to suggest additions!):
https://pastebin.com/qq9N8V0V

▶TQ: With the new Orlocks announced yesterday, and the fact that Goliath and Escher were announced a week apart at the start of August, what do you think we're getting next week for Newcromunda? Or, if you like, for GW to sell us as new models for older editions?

Correction: previous thread is >>98672278, as opposed to the one I left in the OP like the dumbass I am

Hopefully Van Saar so they can get out the house gangs as quickly as possible. I’m really hoping to see journals with more than just a single faction in them. Stuff like new scenarios, campaign variants, and fun extras.
>>
>>98749214
>journals with more than just a single faction in them
Not happening, unless it's for, say, Chaos and CGC, or Malstrain and GSC - best we'll get is two journals at once for different factions.
>>
>>98749229
Oh I didn’t mean two factions in one. I’m looking at how TOW’s journals currently are, which I’m a big fan of. A collection of extra narrative content to expand the game. Maybe if there’s room an extra subfaction or something like that.
>>
>>98749243
Oh yeah, no, that'd be peak as fuck, honestly
>>
>>98749409
I think its what we’ll see after we get through at least the six houses. TOW went through a similar cadence of individual army journals, then we got the fun stuff.
>>
>>98749019
>what do you think we're getting next week for Newcromunda?
REDEMPTICAWDOR.
Although Delaque are meant to be the main historical rivals of Orlock in the setting, so I suppose they'd fit.
>>
>>98749214
I feel like Van Saar may end up only getting the new Leaders and Champs box, because they already got their Specialists out of Hive Secondus.
>>
Any one have the new necromunda journals?
>>
>>98750101
Necro seems to be kill after the update.
>>
>>98750213
Probably posted in some discord or other groups.

There're no rush since it's an early access game and necroraw said they will update the site to the new edition eventually.

>>
>>98750050
Yeah, most likely only one kit, which is fine. Hopefully means they can squeeze it in alongside this release easier. My hope is that all six houses are out this year, but we’ll see about that.
>>
Van Saar will get more lasguns in their kit.
>>
Someone explain all the ways nuNecromunda apparently ruined the game, thanks
>>
>>98750714
I'll try to be concise about it.
>lots of removed content
there's less in the game, significantly less. some actions are gone, over half of the trading post is gone or made irrelevant. Bounty hunters are gone. That's just what I know.
>every rule changed
more of a pet peeve but almost no rule is the same as before, even gun ranges got arbitrarily changed like the autogun's long range got nerfed by a fucking inch. Like who gives a shit.
>nothing ever dies
lethality is ass. almost every gun except heavy/specialist weapons deal 1 wound, lethality as a stat makes the enemy roll more injury dice. Flesh wound now quite literally means nothing, serious injury means down and down is almost always temporary, so that leaves the single pip chance for someone to get taken out permanently. I've had regular gangers survive getting final scene of scarface'd by plasma guns, las guns, auto guns, sniper rifles, and a flamethrower blast and still not die. Coup de grace is more reliable but even that got nerfed cause now its a strength showdown with the enemy model where attacker breaks ties and if you lose nothing happens. Hit rolls are a lot worse and every model has an armor save that can be improved by cover. Hit rolls can't be improved by attachments and nothing starts with 2+ skill by default.
>games never end
See above, also bottle tests are single punishment tests that happen whenever you lose a guy. Once you fail a bottle test, one guy of your choice leaves the field, that's it, nothing more. Bottle tests used to limit game runtime but now they're very arcadey morale checks.

There were a couple good changes but if you want the bad that's what I got from playing.
>>
>>98750714
one more
>prone got removed
I know why they did it, I still hate it and it makes the game feel less alive. Also suppressed has some broken interactions, like you can still overwatch even if your guy got hit, which is fucking stupid.
>>
>>98750892
>>98750910
So are new players just stuck with this shit? I know there's a compendium of the old rules, but I feel like it'll just flat out die over the next few months as more things release because new blood will refuse to play it in favor of newer, official material.
>>

>>98750940
Younger generations and some older idiots are strangely addicted to just buying/playing the newest shit.
Even the local commies do not see the irony of their eternal need of getting this week FOMO product.
Hell the few that actually break free and play already existing games suffer mental breakdowns when you suggest house ruling something.
Its so strange to see it.
>>
>>98750450
I can just be happily smug about it, 148 anons now downloaded it, didn't think this general had that much attendance.
Link to the Necrodamus 2026 edition which includes ALL of N17 with FAQ/errata integrated and some houserules(notated as such) and the minimum of absolutely necessary rules concessions where they had to be made (not all the rulebooks were referenced to each other by gw, not even in the FAQ/errata stages)
>>
>>98750940
Everyone I know who's migrating to it is "tired of how sweaty kill team is" so I give it a couple months max before they all go back when GW refills the slop trough on their side.

That said no one really played old necromunda. Like every specialist game, an arbitrator who didn't know what they were doing would have their campaign rolled by some fag running an overpowered list they got off the internet, or "asking" the arbitrator if they're running some obscure bullshit rule only to exploit it to the fullest extent to run amok when they cow out and say yes. And if you don't have the inexperienced arbitrator you have the bad faith arbitrator who is just "that guy" put in an authority position. I've never seen a necromunda campaign go longer than 2 months. Some fag always ruins it.
>>
>>98750714
In addition to what anon already said, there was no good reason to change it.
At least not the way GW changed it as their motivation is NEVER improving the game, it is change for the sake of making a large body of players feel the need to BUY NEW THINGS.
>>
>>98751012
So all GW specialist games are just shit, is what you're saying? We should all just fucking kill ourselves?
>>
>>98751040
You have to have a tight group to play, you should never play these games with the quite literally unwashed masses of a FLGS. For that reason I don't believe popularity really matters with specialist game rulesets.
>>
>>98751016
The things that could have changed are melee.
Since the N17 rules got rapidly obsolete with the amount of bullshit some melee specialist could dish. So original way it worked (2 basic bitch gangers slap fighting) didn't cut it.
Also fix the useless mess that where some skillsets.
I expected something like 40k 3rd to 4th, maybe even 6th in terms of random changes.
Instead we got a 3rd to 11th kind of change.
>>
>>98751040

Warmaster is pretty groovy, maybe try that before killing yourself.
Or go for a 2-in-1 and commit suicide via painting a Skaven army.
>>
>>98751040
Wargames in general do not have in mind the tournamentfag mentality.
They expect people to play with the intention of winning as in not intentionally building absolute mess of an army, but do not concern themself with idiots that will intentionally break the game. Because it is not a hard thing to do. Everyone can do it even by accident.
Self regulation is part of the wargame experience, if you can't do that maybe videogames would be up your speed.

continuing, I love 'munda and its one of my favorite tabletop games. I just recognize its limitations. If you wanna play with friends I recommend old rules, if you wanna play with randos you're probably only gonna get games of nu-munda and it will likely die out pretty quick.
>>
>>98751069
because they dont do it for the gameplay, they dont give a flying fuck about the gameplay, the more busted it is the better because it just pushes more idiots to buy the new thing hoping that finally, this time, it will be a fix.
>>
>>98750940
I don't think your players would play the new munda either, and they definitely quit after 1st session playing the previous edition rule.
>>
>>98751040
>>98751054
I'd say there are exceptions to this, there are specialist games you can just sit down and play with anyone, even run events for with randoms, similar to the mainline GW games. They're just not as popular. Adeptus Titanicus, Blood Bowl and MESBG are all examples of these, and the players are likely to be less sweaty and putrid than mainline GW gamers because they aren't the most popular games.
>>
>>98751132
Basically what that anon is bitching about >>98750976
Wargames have always had the idiot that is trying to speedrun a hobby, but people treating it as some videogame with some kind of live service model is so strange.
After all people where playing shit like the Dune boardgame decades after it stop being sold. They simply made new Dune boardgames and kept playing no need for corpo to do it for them
>>
>>98751152
Blood Bowl pickup games are okay but a running league is the true joy.

>turning warmaster into a chit based game

Holy based.
>>
>>98751161
I like tabletop games specifically because there is permanence that is comepletely lacking from digital games.
It makes me angry when a playgroup even suggests moving to the shiny new thing because I got into tabletop for the purpose of building a collection to completion over my lifetime.
with blood bowl it started as "one of each roster" and then when i realized that would only take me so many years I decided "two of each roster" but when I get to that point I know I'll move the bar to "8 of each roster" so I can theoretically run mono-faction leagues off my own shelf.
Although in praqtical application that will just mean anytime I decide to return to any given faction in a league I will do so without picking up the same models I used last time I played them for a year.
>>
>>98751195
>I like tabletop games specifically because there is permanence that is comepletely lacking from digital games.

>>

Oh, certainly, I'm just saying that these are better games when it comes to last-resort pickup play than games like Necromunda or Mordheim.
>>
>>98751301
You must be new here, I frequently make statements to this effect, some anons here bitch and moan about me sperging over the LRB6.
The LRB was the one time I was okay with accepting updated rules infrequently because Jervis was working with the community to polish the rules for the sake of improved gameplay and by extension a more enjoyable gaming experience.
>>
I'm about to arbitrate a necromunda campaign for the new edition. Does anyone know any fan rules that are recommended for use?
>>
>>98751326
I am new here, yes. I am taking the path of enlightenment after years of trodding the path of the 40kfaggot. Offer me your wisdom.
>>
>>98751345
all ive got relevant to this thread is: LRB6 for blood bowl.
anon espusing the necrodamus document seems to have a good idea, though i'd wager the original necromunda would suit me just fine.
kill team is foggier, the original for that is a supplement from white dwarf meant to go with an older edition of 40k and its just "take the 40k army list, split units into individual models and divide the whole unit cost by number of models to get your point values" while optionally choosing not to allow vehicles and HQ or big shit.

confession and also cry for help to necromunda players. I like goonlike models and so have a subscription for stls from heroes infininte/raging heroes who mostly do gooner models...

However their october release date looks absoluetly stunning and i want an excuse to print, paint and play with those models.
Its nun with guns(not sisters) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqBOyL6sjOA with some being mexican day of the dead themed.

My question for necromunda players is if i want to use them for escher, how many models do i need for a campaign and how would i spread em out for heavy weapons or melee weapons?
>>
>>98751106
Cute rats. Do you turn your table into an abstract 2d map as well?
>>
>>98752165
Depends how WYSIWYG you are. I sure hope you have the painting skill to match that choice, otherwise it'll look way shittier than poorly painted heroic detail minis and the non-munda theme will look like a dumb choice as well without the requisite skill.
30 minis at most, 10 at minimum.
>>
>>98752230
Nah it was a proxy till I figure out what kind of army I wanted to play.
Turns out I love spamming chaff regardless of the game.
>>
>>98752246
So the models i 100% would print would be:
>sister duende
>alt ver of sister soledad
>sister killshot
>sister nevermore
>sister colors without the pillar
>mad rose madonna for 1 escher bike

and then for the gangers/juvesit would be like 3 matadoras, 3 sicarias assasins, 3 hermanitas and for whoever uses heavy weapons 2 las balaceras.
Also mid of the month theres the sovereign expansion which will bring more alts of the units + some revamps of older files.
>>
>>98752299
I just looked at the video to see the theme/detail, I didnt go look at the minis beyond that.
>>
>>98752165
I have never seen one of those models from a 360 view.
Well beside the telegram stl files and from behind they all look like ass almost 2D. So either the models are actually flat or someone is uploading flatten stl at telegram.
>>
>>98752436
so ive printed quite a few models from this subscription and yes they do have mostly a 2d feel but the quality is there and i personally like it when the models arn't bulky. them being a bit more 2d helps storing them in cases.
>>
>>98752165
>how many models do i need for a campaign and how would i spread em out for heavy weapons or melee weapons?
I'd go 45:45:10 for rifles:melee:heavy, and you'd probably want a total of about fifteen to twenty, so you could have some variance in what models to use as well as enough to cover an expanding gang in all situations - call it seven rifles, seven melee, two heavy weapons, with one or two in each category being fancier to represent champions and/or leaders, and you'd be dead on.
>>
File: lasgun.png (5 KB, 986x70)
5 KB PNG
>>98752116
My bad, I misremembered it. It was the lasgun which got its short range nerfed by 2 inches. Autogun looks the same but for whatever reason I thought it was 9" short range before
>>
>>98752165
Heavy guns suck and Escher do not use heavy melee weapon like Goliath. Ratio it's either 50/50 range/melee or 60/40 range/melee. And range also included Pistols, which are hybrid range + melee weapons, and Eschers are great at using it. If you had to use Heavy guns because diversity then heavy stubber is a solid choice.

For gang size it depend on the crew table, using GW crew table you want 8-9 models for starting gang, and around 15 not counting brute/hanger-on.
>>
>>98751701
It's interesting how the Orlocks were originally one of the only gangs to escape the gender quotas until they tried to rectify it with that all female resin model set.
It would be interesting to find out how things happened behind the scenes, Necromunda felt like it had some people who actually cared behind the scenes, at least at the start.
Too bad GW is as opaque as a brick wall when it comes to behind the scenes stuff, to prevent anyone involved from being able to garner a following and leave their evil greasy woke black company bullshit behind.

The designer is on IG and touting how his dream came to life in these minis. Everyone is licking his butthole with praise on such shitty miniatures.

Why are they all wearing chokers around their necks now? Is it because an entire team of designers couldn't figure out how to design a proper neck joint? It's not just the shitty faces and the shemale bodies. All of it just looks goofy and dumb.

Except the Ogres, they are okay.
>>
>>98757003
>The designer is on IG
I'm somewhat shocked that GW even allows model designers to credit themselves on social media
>>
>>98757003

>>98757003

>>
>>98757013
I follow a couple of the current, modern designers on IG. They always declare that all designs are our projects they got to be a part of, and never name anyone else that was part of the project.

It really seems like the current brand of GW minis are made by committee, and maybe thats were shit goes so wrong. if multiple people are working on a single mini, maybes its a lack of communication or just the age ole "to many cooks" formula that destroys any sense of theme or cohesion. Plus the execs chiming in to make everything brown and gay.
>>
>>98757318
They very much are "designed by committee", this was very obvious with the mess that is the tomb kings bone dragon, where it's clearly just a bunch of differnt designs of varying skill meshed together to the point where it looks like a complete visual mess.
One of the designers complained that his work on the throne got almost completely covered up by other designers adding layers of details on top.

Eh, I like it. I mean not the faces they came up with, but the concept.

>>98752165
Start with at least 8. Your gang could grow to double that by the end of a campaign, and if your group is pretty WYSIWYG, you might want 24 just to have options to choose from.

Heavy weapons: heavy stubber, chem-thrower, and plasma cannon would probably more than cover you. Just one to start (not the plasma cannon).

At the start you might only give your queen, champions, and one ganger melee weapons. Maybe 40% of the gang. The rest get basic shooty weapons (later upgrading to needle rifles and stuff) or pistol/knife. Combat shotgun, bow and arrow, or flamers for prospects.

I think it had to happen. As a 1st ed HH player, I think games written by FW are characterful and all, but they’re messes of books and articles where the old ones get partially replaced but it’s on you to figure out exactly which parts still apply. It progressively becomes more difficult for a new player to know what he needs to start. FW also can’t balance a game and it takes them five years to respond to 10% of the issues players are asking them to fix.

GW restructured Specialist Games into its main studio. I don’t entirely trust them, but I do understand rebooting the game so the new team doesn’t have to worry about the old stuff. We’ll get a more coherent game that way. Will it be better? Dunno. It’s not killy enough, but I like the new credits/XP-advancements ratio (too many credits previously) and this was the only way blaze and web were going to get nerfed. Cawdor and Van Saar aren’t one-trick ponies anymore.

It’ll be a while before Ash Wastes games work again, but they weren’t working well before anyway.

>>
What would be a reasonable sidearm for a necromunda noble to carry?
>>
>>98756429
The race thing in this specific context is what gets me. Like, it took only a few thousand years for populations of coal black giganiggas to turn into swarthoids in the Med and a few thousand more for those swarthoids to become borderline-albinos thanks to Nordic/Bri'ish levels of sunshine, so where the fuck are all the darkies coming from on Necromunda, a world where 99% of the population live in completely sunless artificially lit metal-roofed hive shitholes and the tiny handful who live outdoors do so under a sky of perpetual twilight thanks to the neverending pollution layer while wrapped head-to-toe in thick clothing so the acid rain and desiccant duststorms don't turn then into sizzling prunes.

Is the Imperium deliberately importing in tens of millions of people from Nignog 9 every year to keep that part of the planet's genepool topped up or something?
>>
>>98758275
Yeah and all the hoverboards, flying bionic cephalopods, rad cannons...oh no wait, that's Nucromunda and you're a disingenuous faggot because almost everyone in the comic uses bog fucking standard gear.
>>
>>98760796
Brother, he's talking about the weapons you can see right there in the posted comic page. If Klovis' crew are allowed some guys with fancy shit like that and they're Cawdor, the group that carries the most scrap-build/-found weapons of anyone that's not Outcasts, then I'm pretty sure anyone bitching about how the proliferation of bullshit weaponry since the good old days is either a jackass who thinks old thing better no matter what, or someone who just doesn't remember the good old days properly.
>>
>>98760729
It's hard to say... a bolt pistol or archaeotech pistol would be big and prestigious, but a lasgun's fine too as long as it has enough gold filigree to be called master-crafted. And there's always digi-lasers.

>>98760772
The real answer is that the countries that like 40k have nonwhite people who also have money and GW wants it.

But all you need to imagine is that certain industrial sectors, or just certain parts of the hive, have more UV in their lighting. Dark skin protects you from it, while light skin allows more of it to get through to create vitamin D. A lot of minerals fluoresce, so whole classes of miners will expose themselves to a lot of UV to find those minerals in the spoils. A lighting manufacturer might go out of business and the random hive areas that bought from them will switch and change skin color over the next few millennia because their new lights have different spectra. It's like having a fish tank or terrarium.

Master crafted laspistol, lightweight, accurate, fancy. Nobles have bodyguards, they're not expected to fight. Kal Jericho used a pair of these, and he fought a lot, but he got plot armor.

The next items to be considered are Digi weapons. You can wear one on each finger, from the "crappy" digi laser to the explosive digi plasma, melta and the almighty digi multilaser, which had all of the above weapon rolled into one.

The rarest pistol one can get their hands on is the Inferno Pistol. This is it, the ultimate flexing pistol.

The true rarest pistol you can't get your hand on however is the exitus pistol, it's the coolest pistol made by the Imperium but the one who was issued with it rarely ever use it, shame, I'd like to see a gunslinger Vindicare, or a close combat sword + exitus pistol fighter.

I took Starfinder 2nd edition coming out as an opportunity to buy all the rulebooks for 1st edition since it meant the game was "complete" and I didn't have to worry about things changing unless I houseruled them myself.

It also doesn't help that 2nd edition apparently replaced the whole design team with trans furries.

Both can work but straight out the book Inquisitor is easier to just play a fight. Dark Heresy you could make work but would need to prepare more things and having a GM would still be a lot of help while you can do most things in Inquisitor without needing a 3rd party.

One of the biggest differences is the potential gulf between characters. In Inquisitor a very fast and lucky character can pull off 6 actions in a turn, in Dark Heresy certain skills can let you do more than the cap of a single full or two half actions initially suggests but I don't think you are going to be doing as much in a single turn as that high speed Inquisitor character.

>>98760195
Meanwhile when the games were dead and unsupported you just got on with the old core, tinkering with house rules or community suggestions and tweaks.
Not that the "living rulebook" model wasn't without it's own massive issues and biases when it came to changes but at least they never threw entire settings, backgrounds and characters of a game into the bin to sell new models.
And the LRB model had less hooks into the "must play the newest official rules" mindset, people were more willing to use older versions or house rule.

They paint and sculpt the female faces to be ugly on purpose and have been doing so for a good while.

And i only think it's ramped up in recent years, you can barely tell some of the new Orlock models are supposed to be female and not guys, they barely or don't at all have defined breasts, their faces and hair styles look hideous and exactly like what you would find on some lesbian trying to look masculine, they look more like failed transvestites or effeminate men than actual women.
A good example is that Escher model from the RPG box that has clearly been made to be less attractive and covered up on purpose compared to the art of her.

It's probably all based in some spite and hatred they have for the male fanbase finding women attractive, because of sexism and "women being objectified" or some shit like that, so they remove as many identifying female features as possible while still trying to make them female, all to avoid men finding them attractive.

This one always crack me up. In my country we used to have "beach teams" basically hot women doing ad in bikinis during summer.
The job was mostly just dance around and have fun in a bikini. Paid as a fulltime job even though it was part time and it was mostly done by women who where studying and wanted extra money during vacations.
But local retards bitched and moan about objectification and eventually this teams stop being a thing.
Feminist literally took jobs away from women just because they where not as ugly as them.
Funniest part is that the "beach team" outfits where more modest than some shit we see on the beach or at the mall.

I think they hire artists as freelancers and have their own in house painters and sculptors, which would explain why the art almost always looks significantly better and different than the finished model, the freelancers doesn't have an angry obese green haired HR lesbian leaning over their shoulder ready to get them fired at the slightest sign of deviating from their politics.

Forgeworld tummy rogue doc is probably my favorite female Necromunda miniature.

It shows life in the hives kinda sucks, hence the robotic arm etc. The tummy tells a story too, like she's sewing up injured gangers to pay for the baby she just had or indulge a corpse starch pizza habit or something. The mask increases the sense of mystery, like this Covid era photo of a Latina nurse that really got my imagination going in a way that what she actually looked like probably wouldn't live up to.

Another reason to why the models have these large, angular chunky details is because their design revolves around the 'eavy metal paint style, so all models are purposefully made to look worse and have ugly sharp details to make edge highlighting easier.
And some of the upper management at GW are huge marvel fanboys so want everything to look like their favourite comic books, because they are reddit manchildren with zero fucking taste who don't respect the older established aesthetics of the models everybody actually wants them to produce.

This sister of battle is a perfect example of how the 'eavy metal style absolutely ruins female faces, compared to some compentent guy who isn't a mouthbreathing Marvel manchild troglodyte.
>>
>>98762561
It always cracks me up that in order for a female face to look female you need to use makeup technics.
You should not need to do that. Other companies can manage to do it.
>>
>>98760772
how about Escher gangers? They are all derived from the three original SISTERS and their 7 "children" who are just the dna of the 3 recombined (the sisters also used extensive cloning themselves) so the entire house of ulanti and the entire house of escher, are descended from this genepool, they are ALL sisters/cousins not just random women ganging together.
So it is literally impossible for them to have a neat "1 in 10 of us are pure niggers" demographic.
yet GW does it anyway.
Or how salamanders are depcited as all being south african niggers with BROWN skin (accent too!) despite the lore actually stating that the normal nocturnians do not have the geneseed defect pigmentastion that it only happens in the astartes transformation!
Or the Blood Angels who GW have now started including nigger paintjobs in images of! their geneseed trait quite specifically turns them all into pasty pale red eyed vampire looking dudes after sanguinius, yet DEI got into their product.
GW as a company even openly states that they collect racial statistical data for their employees and ensure a neat mix of races even mongst their board members, they literally have racial quotas!
It's just racism, plain and simple.

I don't know the starfinder game, is it different than GW stuff where the physical books have the correct rules in them and the rules actually work as written? or is it like GW in that everything is FAQ'd and errata'd a week or two after being sold and therefore the physical books are just expensive firestarter?

I have played a few rounds of both Khorne and Black Orcs on Fumbbl to get back into BB and the new rukes. I know both teams are not considered great but, ascrazy as it sounds, are black orcs the more consistent of the two?

Khorne experience so far has been
>scenario 1
I fucking destroy the enemy team, Bloodspawn RIPS AND TEARS, and my armour holds and almost every block is a stun
>scenario 2
My armour/blocks don't work and I get the shit beaten out of me. I just lost to high elves in a brawl..

Essentially, unless I roll above average to very well, I get wrecked.

Black Orcs in contrast feel like their frontline is more consistently durable and while dramatically slower, seem to not depend so heavily on explosive dice. Is that about right?

Online most people seem to favour Khorne but im leaning to Black orcs.
>>
>>98763447
you're wrong about the blue eyes, and ten thousand years is not a timeframe in which black skin emerges by evolution, but also they aren't evolving, their lineage is entirely reliant on artificial intervention.
black skin didn't evolve in the last even 50.000 years, it occurs in populations where homo sapiens interbred with other hominids, ie; dravidian or habilis who already had those genes for a very long time.
Europeans were not dark skinned but yes, green eyes existed as those are a byproduct of the genes for brown and blue intermixing.
the Escher do have to look like the three sistsers, because their origin pool is only those three sisters and has been artifically maintained and not allowed or even able (depending on how you view it) to evolve.

In normal human demographics an origin of just three individuals is laughably impossible, with an incredibly strict breeding program it takes a population of at least 1500 to propagate our species, so the Escher are an absurdly insular and curated breed.
>>
>>98765387
They have only been all female for a thousand years i think, Before that they had men who all degenerated due to thousands of years of absurd levels of constant drug use that somehow fucked up their male genepool.
The cloning stuff was only a big deal at the very beginning of the house and in thhe last thousand years if i've got the timeline correct, beyond that they reproduced normally.

But that's just a lie. You could scour the internet for a lifetime and never find a store, event, gathering, campaign weekend, or tournament that wasn't at least 98% white and male. You'll struggle to find pictures of nonwhite nonmales involved in the hobby anywhere except GW marketing or thirst trapping ethot instas.

Moreover, why would GW assume all they care about is being able to buy models that look like them? Actual nerds - as opposed by infiltrating poseurs who's only purpose is to destroy the hobby for failing to conform to their deranged worldview - tend to be pretty reasonable people who don't go in for all this DEI bullshit, and I've never seen anything that suggests that's less true of black nerds. If they like Necromunda for what it is, why would they object to the model range properly reflecting what it is? What's next, Nigorks? Nigdar? Nigganids? If "feeling seen" is the only thing that matters then merely inserting African-featured people into Necromunda where they make no sense(your attempted justifications are farcical) is insufficient, we should be doing it EVERYWHERE, including in Xenos and Daemons. Wouldn't want anyone to feel left out right?

blood bowl is super easy to do pickup games with. you can either do tv 1,000 or just steal someone else's rules pack
>>
>>98771449
Yeah it's great. But I found Blood Bowl Sevens easier to get into. 7 players per side instead of 11, different board, fewer turns in a game. The differences from the regular game are in a recent journal.

It takes like half the time, which is a lot nicer if you're losing from early in the game. It favors maneuverable teams over bashy ones so the balance is a little different. I kinda feel regular BB doesn't have enough movement until both sides have a ton of injuries.

Blood Bowl's really easy to learn.

the current rules are better than LRB6. the lrb6 fag is just one homo. And LRB6 didn't last for 2 decades. LRB6 came out in 2009 and was replaced in dec 2016
so it's impossible for the entire planet to have played it for 20 years since it's not 20 years old and the majority of the player base switched in 2016 or 2020
you didn't even need new stuff other than the rule book to switch over since at most you got like 2-4 new position players and could have just painted 4 new dudes and added them to your team

>>
>>98772571
I don't deny that at all, they are very ugly.
But the models don't have that flavour of ugliness, there's a distinct difference, the models are ugly in a globohomo way and not specifically a "rose of ingerland" kinda way.

do you two retards know that skin and eye color isn't based on a single gene? it's not medalian. It's based on how many of the pigmentation genes are actively coding and creating pigment. A black would have more of those pigment genes functioning than a White person. A White person might have something like a one letter change in the gene that renders the gene unable to produce a protein. eye color works the same way. it's why you can get that laser thing that gives you blue eyes by nuking all of the pigment out of your eyes

I had to come back to this because there was something I forgot to mention
they began with a source of mixed dna clones, 7 sourced from 3 SISTERS
genetic manipulation and cloning are their origin, the house eschaki division into ulanti/escher was a result of the ulanti half breaking tradition and outbreeding, eventually carrying the eschaki name and not genes in any meaningful sense.
escher was the purist faction in the divide.
given that the source is 3 individuals and not 1500+ that makes the cloning and genetic manipulation a necessity leading all the way up to the divide.
the males ending up as they are was a result of failures in maintaining that purity from such a tiny origin source, they did not abandon the two source tech methods for retaining their purity in the intervening time.
>>
>>98774081
I thought the split was between Ulanti and Athenos
>>
>>98774578
that's a much more recent retcon, it was very simple and clear before eschaki-ulanti/escher
now it's (IIRC i hate nushit retcons) ulandari-ulanti/athenos-eschaki (come out of ulanti as a secret illuminati sect)-eschaki conquers and absorbs athenos-becomes escher.
it's been totally reversed and padded with completely new bullshit.

they're basically the grog choice for tournaments that either under tier them and give them too much stuff or tournaments that have some type of roster restriction like those squad tournaments where you have a squad of like 4-6 guys and each squad can't have 2 of the same race
you just have so much more agency with the quick score and 2 turn scores. fucking bash teams can only win vs elves if the absolutely skull fuck the elves (most elf coaches are just going to not engage before turns 6 or 7 unless they can get the ball and get it away from the bash guys) or if there's OT and the bash team wins the OT coin toss.

>>
>>98789181
Mostly because GW has been selling more things online than a proper store ages now.
There is no need to actually look good on a table when the average GW consumer just buy things online without context for the product they are buying.
It is an issue not unique to GW and it specially noticeable in 3D prints where the artist use details as paint to fill up the space that should be done with painting.
A lot of detail is fine when you are going to run a few models as in 5 to 40. But when a game is expected to have multiple 20+ squads and you enjoy painting and playing things start to become more questionable.
But the comment was about display models. If I want to display something doing this scale is odd, larger models would be better if that is the purpose.

>>
>>98790633
Pls explain to someone who got into blood bowl two month ago
>>
>>98790738
the man who invented the game spent almost two decades working with the community to make the game better, for free. they didn't have profit as an incentive, their only motive was love of the game and wanting it to be a better experience.
then in 2016, right as they decided "we're done, it's polished!" GW steps in and says "Thanks" and does a very shitty copy+paste of their work, splits it up into a bunch of different books to SELL over the course of a few years, along the way they fuck up a bunch of the rules with editing errors and insist on making changes to the rosters for the sake of changing up miniature collections (so you can feel a need to buy new ones from them)
That didn't work great because lots of existing players saw that A) it was just a poor copy+paste
and/or
B) that the system was entirely compatible with the existing communit/creator rules anyway
So in 2020 they re-re-release the game but this time they've changed how stats work so it is not directly compatible, and they double down on roster changes to force new miniature purchases, and from there things just get worse and worse and worse and I feel no need to be granular at this point.
>>
>>98790788
Thanks. Yeah I noticed that the team positionals are mostly locked to what's in the box, but in earlier editions you had more flexibility
>>
>>98790876
and I forgot the worst part with the miiatures: for all the years GW abandoned the game a third party market grew up to supply minis and it became the industry standard to sell you a full 16 miniature team in one purchase, all your positionals plus linemen to round it out.
now sure, some teams like orcs or humans can go above 16 with positionals and the minimum linemen needed to field a starting 11, but GW ignored the market standard and tried to sell you JUST 11 without full positionals, often missing big guys entirely and certain positionals entirely.
they still fucking do this.
meanwhile there are still hundreds of third party FULL TEAM options, and if you print the options double or triple easily.
There is no reason to ever have two duplicate minis in your teams.

that retard is just a fucking turbo sperg and a dickless shit eating tranny with baby duck syndrome. nublood bowl does have some issues with things like OTTDs being too easy and stat ups being too easy to get and too low cost and some minor balance issues with individual team rosters/negative experiences like how undead, (which is still good) is kind of shit to play as because you only have 2 ghouls due to GW being retarded about
>muh it's in the box

>this, and this, and this, and this, ohh and that, and this...
>>
>>98790788
LRB6 wasn't done or polished. they didn't do anything to fix all of the GW bullshit rosters that came out in the 90s after 3rd edition to sell minis. Teams like Amazons, Undead, Lizards and Wood Elves were busted, retard.
>roster changes
you can buy third party. most rosters either only got like 2 new positionals or lost positionals and the only stat stuff that changed was banning AG6 and MA10 and adding a passing stat
>>98790876
not really. you had more positionals but you didn't really have actual flexibility on all but the most expensive teams
>>98790903
it was 12, not 11. It was retarded, but you could still just use 3rd party minis and most 3rd party mini makers put out supplemental packs with the new positional
>>98791014
LRB6 had at least as many problems, if not more. I'm not saying the current edition fixes everything and doesn't have issues. but you are pretending LRB6 was amazing with no issues and that really was never the case. LRB6 has a ton of bullshit like natural 1 turners, unbalanced rosters, clawpomb, 3+ leap, ect.
other than the stalling rule being gay and retarded and stupid roster rules to match the box, a lot of the current problems were LRB6 problems. shit like the dakka and 1 turn would have been an issue in LRB6 if someone had thought of it back then. you can do it with a natural 1 turner which rats, wood elves, high elves and pro elves could totally get.
Clawpomb murder bullshit teams used to be a huge problem. hell just having a Pomber was a massive issue as long as you could protect him you could fuck up the other team with removals
>>
>>98791030
>muh welfs muh liggers
Thats a (You) problem
>clawpomb
videogame issue only, a tabletop game that takes 1-2 hours was not meant to be played 100 times a month repeatedly, that was never a /tg/ issue.
But you wouldn't know that because you're a newfag pretending to be a grog.
>>
>>98791078
>Thats a (You) problem
not really since they nerfed both and no one has complained about them being nerfed and if anything every tournament pack nerfs them even more, you gay retard
>videogame issue only
you could get claw pomb on a goat with 30 spp. hardly a difficult thing to do. I had a tackle pomb orc in the fucking /tg/ fumbbl league in fewer than 12 games
you're a gay retard, a no friends, no games, never plays retarded wanna be grog with baby duck syndrome and a troon
>>
>>98791140
>newfags dont complain about a change they never experienced
Gee, I wonder why.
>>
>>98791140
See? You don't even know what the clawpomb issue was ( a full team of it) not a single headhunter.
Newfag.
>>
>>98791156
I played LRB6, retardo
>>98791161
even a single one was a problem, retard. I could take out like half a team with one. having more than a few was a waste since you can only blitz once per turn. something you would know if you actually played
>>
>>98791387
Yes, we already know you will endlessly double down on your secondhand ignorance.
>>
>>98790622
It was a 75% split in favor of the new edition. I ain't gonna take the fight.
>>
>>98791417
we already know you are a no games, never played, no dick, broccoli haired, third world zoom zoom. Literally no one is complaining about clawpomb and 3+ leaps being nuked
>>
>>98791457
because "everyone" falls into two groups
>never played LRB (You)
>never stopped playing LRB (Me)
Figure it out newfag.
>>
>>98791525

>>
>>98791568

Spontaneous declaration of "victory" only tells us that you feel you've "lost"

>>
>>98792541
samefagging is really sad kiddo
but also
>actually I would love an lrb7...
No you wouldn't you just see that you're getting nowhere with this and you're so desperate for approval on your opinion that your samefagging to make it look like youve got it.
GW rules are a hundred times worse in every way than any"problems" with the LRB6, especially since the "problems" you continuously repeat are only issues in the videogame which is just exhaustively reptitive proof that you don't play on the tabletop and your only exposure to the LRB6 is a pirated videogame.
