>>98758881I've enjoyed Zelda games since age seven, when Ocarina of Time released. Even though some of the games haven't been the greatest, I've given all of them a fair shake. I wouldn't hesitate to say that it's quite probably my favorite video game series.I've been playing Magic since Onslaught block and have watched the game grow and change over the years. When EDH began becoming the main casual way to play the game, I resisted it for a few years--I preferred sixty-card kitchen table--but eventually cracked around 2019 and began building EDH decks. For better or for worse, the game has been a pretty big part of my life. I've met several friends through it and, even though we approach it in different ways, we've made a lot of good memories with it.In that context, I really want to make it clear that the idea of officially-printed Zelda Magic cards makes me want to vomit until I can't breathe.
>>98758881I'd be down as long as it's not standard-legal. Better franchise for Magic than F*nal F*ntasy, that's for sure.
>>98758881Interesting idea, but isn't this just a ragequit when the caster pays a lot for the initial X?Maybe it'd work with picrel (reflavored to the Ocarina of Time).
>>98758881Why does it have X costs that don't do anything?
>>98759885Not OP but I think the idea is the one who casts it determines how costly it will be to reset the countdown by paying the X in the mana cost. It's definitely worded wrong, though. The X should just be in the rules text and not another mana symbol.
>>98759039>Grow up....bruh.
>>98759938This is actually a nightmare to template. I was initially thinking of giving multikicker to avoid having multiple different instances of X on the card but that introduces the issue of having two different types of counters (time counters and whatever you want to call the charge counters). You may have to go real old school and do some "as ~ enters the battlefield its controller may pay any amount of mana. Note the amount of mana that was paid" or some shit like with Jeweled Amulet.
>>98758881An artefact heavy set where the big prize centers around the Triforce.Probably have mechanics that would allow even the opponent to take and equip the triforce on their monsters and have a special effect if you can put all three on a single card.
>>98760046It would be interesting to see an updated version of a Kalrda-type set of cards that more closely matches today's power levels.
>>98759997I like the idea, so I made my own.
>>98758881Imagine a set of keys jingling in front of a human face - for ever.

>>98758881Remove the thread and post again with at least a paragraph worth of your own thoughts as a springboard for discussion. As it is, there is nothing to this thread. It is just empty space.
