Humility and the avoidance of hubris are the marks of the wise. Is there any lower wisdom lower than the homebrewer? The wise designers of Wizards of the Coast have spent so much time perfecting the twin stars of role-playing. Is there any lower hubris? Any greater gap of humility than to think their little isekai inspired napkin scribbles are better. Do they not see how their "home brew" burns like the wings of icarus?
I somewhat agree.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4w2BZXL6Ss
>>98760628I've seen what WotC calls game design. A homebrew would have to try to make something worse.
>>98760628Banning Thieflings is homebrew. I am yet to see anything wrong with it
>>98760628Homebrew is the only way to stop authoritarian thugs from taking your elfgames. Be your table woke or chud, homebrew is the solution.
>>98760628The unspeakable hubris of a man who dares to cook gor himself instead of eating at McDonalds every day...And WotC is definitely the McDonalds of RPGs rather than some fancy Michelin restaurant. Yes, yes, I know, food analogy, sue me.
The devs put out a product, you see it as a suitable base and tinker with it to suit your individual group's needs. It's a multi-step process and there's nothing wrong with it.
>>98760895The only thing more expensive than them is maybe Pathfinder.Your food analogy is terrible. Either the analogy is supposed to be about price in which case it doesn't work or its just "dnd is icky" in which case you dont need an analogy
>>98760895>>98761019An even greater take down. Dnd and pathfinder are recipes people pay for. Homebrew is a recipe given out for free that no one outside the guy made it ever uses.
>>98760628I liked your local lord posting better.
>>98761307I have no idea what you are talking about. You are confusing me eith someone else. Everyone here is annonymous so its easy to do
>>98760628Icarus's wings didn't burn. They melted.
>>98760628We have this non-bait every week now.
