Boarmort academy is a clear parody of Hogwarts, it has 8 houses with relatively minor impact on the whole thing. It has other problems, with a complicated point system being one of them.The Build a Wizard cyoa was made specifically with multiplayer in mind, and has houses, but they are kinda divided by a personality test of sorts so the division would end up being mechanical too unless we fudge the numbers since magic choices contribute to your final house score.Technically Witch Awakening has Hawthorne, which is almost a 1 to 1 parody of Hogwarts with a couple additions, complete with meaningless houses and now with even the sorting hat. Of course the rest of the cyoa is massive and that's not even counting all the DLCs officially recognized by the author, so it would be pretty rules heavy to try and run that way, with some setting aggreements necessary as well.That's about all I can think of with preexisting houses, other than Rapture but that's not just magic and the houses are much more important.Now, there are some with a more generic magic academy where houses could be placed by us with not many problems. Mage School is a pretty simple cyoa and the addition of personality based houses would fit well enough. Not much more to say about that. Soulheart Academy is another one that could have houses added, it need a bit more cooperation to choose the general feel but is otherwise also pretty simple.Innermost Institute is another one. It's a mix of stuff other than magic too, but it fits the mostly magic adademy feel.

I've got an idea.Boy from a prestigious pureblood family that got wiped out in the wizarding war. Now it's just him and his sister. He has an enormous name to live up to and isn't prepared at all to handle the responsibility left to him. Very prideful. Quick to anger. Fiercely protective of his sister. Not particularly talented. Not great at magic. Deeply ashamed of that fact and highly motivated to change it. Family and legacy mean everything to him but here's just not worthy of what was left to him. Not yet. And if anyone calls him out on it he's going to fight and probably lose which means he'll have to fight again. And he just keeps digging himself deeper into conflicts and rivalries. He needs power. He's desperate for it.
