Shield Captains seem to hold shields, and also can have spears and swords. You can use one of the shields in the kit for one arm and then a spear on the other and there's your shield captain. I'm sure the kit has a fancier head to build one into.I have 0 knowledge about Custards so I'm just checking shit as I'm typing this post and trying to take an educated guess but like I've said, if the model looks similar enough with the right weapon loadout and is on a correct base size you're good and you have the right to call anyone who would complain about your models a huge faggot. The things you want to look for to buff artillery are to buff the secondary bits like spotters (Designation Force) or a way to get infantry officers to give orders to Basilisks (Armored Infantry).If you must, you need spotters and a rear-line officer pocketed onto the artillery unit to make artillery worth using; Scout Sentinels are one of the better spotters, especially with the Designation Force detachment so you can take advantage of Infiltrators.

I only started playing 10th when the Dark Eldar codex came out. Until then I played earlier editions with a bunch of homebrew fixes. I won't play 11th until all the codexes are out and it's done. I don't like playing demos or alphas either. Feels like a waste of time. So far, tho, I gotta say, 10th is fucking gay, and 11th looks worse, so I'm probably going to just reverse engineer what I need to, and continue playing the more enjoyable older versions of the game, while I continue to buy and use whatever looks rad.

If its the second you need to go back to retributor armor and apply it over flat and raised surfaces so the wash stays where its supposed to be - in the shadows. Afterwards you can go further with highlights if you feel like it. For exact recipes used for box art theres this website called eavy archive, check it out.
