That’s a lot of armor saves, even if they’re on 3’s, and an arrogant player might not pop Lysander’s ability until after those saves are being made, which is too late.

Having played one game with new marines (against updated EC) I can say with absolute certainty that intercessors are dogshit and T5 doesn't matter. All the sweaty comp players will be using phobos and terminators. Eliminators my most-improved unit. Very reliable with incursor units spotting, in phobos shock force. Las Fusils at D3+3 damage rather than D6 is very nice.

>>98782677Not really, my reivers got a big advance & charge off but that was assault doctrine doing the heavy lifting. Everything else mostly stood still. Phobos trade toughness for good abilities and detachment support, maintaining damage output of their fatter brothers. In 10th/11th that's always the correct trade. Marines just die regardless. Best you can do is hide and strike first, hardest.

They were practically on a hype train that their speedpaints were gonna be great and beat GW's Contrast then the reactivation knowledge came out and the train practically derailed.Oddly enough it is similar to how when Vallejo reformulated their Game Color and later model color paints and then bubbles became too common. The hype train always derails to bubbles with Vallejo. But ArmyPainter at least listened and make Speedpaint 2.0, and supposedly Vallejo has been silent and the bubbles may or may not have been solved or painters just figured out annoying workarounds to the bubble problem.
