Similarly, the tau will invade an imperial planet and sincerely believe they're doing it to improve things (like the US invading some middle eastern shithole and trying to turn it into a western democracy). Plus the tau fight like a modern force while the imperium usually fights like it's still ww2, which parallels stuff like the gulf war and the US invasion of iraq (smaller modern fighting force rolling over numerically superior but poorly equipped army).Come to think of it, I would be very interested in a story about the Tau trying to integrate an Imperial world and having to deal with imperial cult terrorists afghanistan style.
