So you’re hitting on 3’s, wounding on 4’s (3’s If they’re lead by a chaplain,) and making the terminators save on their invulns unless they burn a cp for armor of contempt. Played against my wife's crusher stampede nids today on the kitchen table. She finished her hierophant and really wanted to play it in a game, so naturally I brought a knight desecrator to blast it with a huge fuckoff laser. The Hierophant managed to survive to turn 3, and her norn emissary ended up killing the knight later in melee. I ended up just barely losing 78-81; I really like running my guys in Renegade Raiders for the army-wide assault and bonus AP on objectives, but the stratagems are almost all some flavor of movement/transport tricks that don't really do a lot to actually take stuff off the table. Dunno if I'll pivot to another detachment next time I play or just keep using RR.

I've somehow traded into nearly a companys worth of gravis marines over the course of the last four editions, and now I've decided to just build out an all gravis company for my blood angels successors. Instead of trying to bring the whole unit down in one go (you aren't bringing down 10 Wolf Guard and a character in one go as GSC) chip at them with mortal wounds with stuff like Jackals and Reductus throwing grenades at them and taking mining laser pot shots (a reductus mine going off is a dead terminator unless they're bringing a chaplain which they probably aren't). If they do something like 30 wolf guard, that's a fair chunk of their army that gets stopped for a turn by 5 respawning goobers standing in front of them. So you put chaff in front of two units while chipping down the third. Remember that the -1 damage strat is for a single activation, not the whole phase.

Nightcrawler roams with them and Ammentor stays between the first two murder blocks providing buffs. If you do not concentrate all of your fire onto a single murderblock they will reanimate. The key to this playstyle is mastery of placement and manoeuvrability of the larger bases.
