>"not interested in 40k? Play this glup shitto obscure indie game instead!">people refuse to play it with you because it's not 40k>money and time wastedhow the fuck does this guy get away with convincing people to waste money buying games nobody plays?
>>98812247Why is it when you're mad at your boyfriend you have to tell us about it?

>>98812247TBF there are plenty of great non GW games out there.BUT, how you play them is with your Warhammer friends who are interested in the other game and you all play together. It's how we have gotten into other games, all through Warhammer. Playing them otherwise is impossible
>>98812247This is why I don't play wargames.I almost drop some money on X-Wing but by the time I had a group of friends up for playing they did that 2e and we all kind of said nah.
>nooooo you can’t get people to play anything but the most popular thing they won’t be interested40kiddies are failed normalfags lmao, you’re the bad kind of society outsider: the kind who is a total loser with no real friends but also has absolutely no interests that differ from the crowd and no superior tastes or understanding, absolute untermenschen
>>98818782Guy who is interested in wargaming but not interested in playing any form of Warhammer (except maybe Blood Bowl) here. Do you mean that I have to invest time and money into playing dogshit fucking Warhammer to actually get people to play games I'm interested in?
>>98820998Not only do you have to pay warhammer prices before you're able to lure people into playing Never Mind the Guards of Turnip Crusade 28 with you. When that's over with you have to pay what when tallied up will approach warhammer prices in order to provide them with armies they can't be bothered to buy themselves.
>>98821093What if i just built two forces for Never Mind the Guards of Turnip Crusade 28, contacted the local game shop and told them I'm interested in running a demo game one day, and then I just show up running said demo game?
Malifaux 2e was such a shitty game, I will never trust this dipshit again
>>98821111well yeah, I guess that could work too if you also got the game store to agree to let you post on their social media, or have them post on your behalf on social media, or put up a flyer or something. Maybe. It'd be more reliable if you already had a gaming group at the LGS and THEN did what you mentioned plus the above criteria.

>>98820998I move around a bit for work and one time I thought "I could go some historical wargaming", spent at most 30 seconds putting some search terms into Google, idly read a blog for a few more minutes, spent another minute typing a short email to the guy and was at their club night a few hours later. Sometimes I've done the same elsewhere and the club meeting isn't on the same day. Worth pointing out for some of the degenerates here going so far as to simply "email a guy" makes me a 4th dimensional hyper being, while others still put this small amount of effort into the too hard basket as an excuse because they are insecure about only being interested in Warhammer.
>>98822979>spent at most 30 seconds putting some search terms into Google, idly read a blog for a few more minutes, spent another minute typing a short email to the guywhat guy? what? what did you search into google? "historical wargaming in (area)?" are you in the UK or the US? you gotta give more details.
>>98812247>In this video we're going to be taking a look at paint, why paint might or might not be suitable for your hobby projects and how you can use it. Now a lot of people ask me; "Uncle Atom how do you feel about paint", and I think that's really a very good question for a number of reasons which we're going to go over now. There are a lot of important factors to consider about paint, I was first introduced to paint when I started hobbying back in the day. Now back then there were a lot less people into hobbying, and it was harder to find information. We didn't have sites like youtube or forums or blogs so i had to go down to the old hobby store to ask people for advice. I made a video about how the hobby has changed over the years which you might be interested in: pachow. But to get back to the subject I was on my way to the hobby store and I was wearing an onion on my belt as was the style at the time. They didn't have white onions because of the war, the only thing you could get was those big yellow ones. I made a video about onions which you can see here: pachow. So anyway I got into the store and I started looking through all the paints they had and there was an amazing array of colors, reds, blues, violets, yellows, greens you name it. I bought the paints I thought I wanted and went on home and started painting but I very quickly ran into an issue, you see I had intended to paint my space marines red because I wanted them to be blood angels but I had mistakenly painted them blue which was bad because blood angels aren't supposed to be blue. I suppose I could have ran them as a blue successor chapter but that wasn't what I wanted to do, I wanted them to be red. Now the reason for this was that I, in my youthful enthusiasm had been in a rush and I had only bought blue paints; and that's the first issue you have to consider when you're buying paints, you absolutely need to buy paints that match the color you want to paint your models.>Another factor is...

>>98812247I don't think he has a game group. I don't think he plays games with friends, and hasn't for years. Everything he says seems like some solitary nerd's analysis of social dynamics he's observed but misinterprets. I noticed this during his Sun Rot pitch. No idea why I watched it but he was going on about "hey you have different friends who like different things this will bring them together" and it immediately struck me as ignorant. That's not how tabletop gaming groups work at all. You're all playing some miniatures game together or an RPG campaign or deciding on a board game. It's not a situation where you've got a bunch of people who are all friends but focus on one type of game or another and put up with playing RPGs when they like miniatures games or board games.Old lonely man who has content created for over a decade without any friends shills product situation.
