The most kino D&D setting.
>>98812394What mechanics were introduced with the setting?
>>98813448Birthing, and Rites.
>>98813448Holy shit is this real?
>>98812394Underrated.
>>98812394It's ok. There have been better, but being early with less competition makes people remember you more fondly than anything better but newer.
>>98812394what the fuck is dirthright
>>98813455So there's no rights in birthright?
>>98817155It's a joke. Your birthright is birth rites, it's a setting focused on playing hereditary shaman midwives.
>>98813448Bloodline abilities - powers based on bloodlinesTerritory based power and economy for the different classes.
>>98813448It's Highlander + A Song of Ice and Fire.
So has anybody here played it? How does it play?
>>98812394That's not Eberron...
>>98817619>focused on playing hereditary shaman midwives. That was the aborted pbta Dark Age.
>>98812394It's 100% dogshit, probably D&D's worst setting. The setting per se is turbo-generic and only exists to implement the box set's domain rules all of which are worthless broken garbage.
>>98812394Birthright is literally, unironically this comic as a setting.
Out of the box it's boring AF. All od the bad guy leaders are pretty much just vig dual and multiclass dudes. There's a load of spell like abilities that "blooded" characters possess. You could easily explain a lot of GoT powers with them if you wanted to dig into with with precise autism.
>>98821842>>98821855That sounds pretty dope.>>98824234Do you know what exactly blooded characters got? Also, is there a table that I can look up myself so see the different abilities?
>>98823804>>98824234>>98824687So it's Avatar TLA, or Red Queen to venture into chick fic.
>>98823804Ah, but that's where you're wrong.Because in Birthright anyone who kills a Special becomes one.And you also have the added factor of some of the Specials being cursed rather than blessed with Evil Bastard syndrome, where their powers come from Dogshitfucker the Arsehole, who makes sure everything they do is tainted by his bullshit, meaning sometimes the Poo People are the lucky ones.
>>98812394I've never seen that Dark Sun book cover before
