Why are gamestores the only places that still have masking policies in the year of our Lord 2026?

I've been to three different gamestores over the summer. The staff ALL wear masks.

The flu's been going around near me recently. Makes sense to throw a mask on if you have one handy.
A bunch of game store regulars are also immunocompromised cripples so it also becomes a matter of the game stores wanting protect their customer base.
>>
Gamers have bad breath / the industry is taken over by the worst and most hysterical leftists

A local mtg shop has a very strict deodorant policy, and they have a giant sign in their door declaring such

How did those regulars survive before 2020? Shouldn't they have died long ago if masking on Mondays/Tuesdays is what's currently keeping them alive?

Nowhere else still has masking policies apart from DSA meetings.

>A local mtg shop has a very strict deodorant policy, and they have a giant sign in their door declaring such
omega based, the mtg stinkers deserve it

Prior to 2020 those kinds of immunocompromised people wouldn't risk going to a public place like a games store, especially during flu season.
These new policies let them in when they'd otherwise have to stay out.
The coof also gave people a lot of awareness about this kind of thing.

Trannies have aids and a stiff sneeze can kill them

Because you niggas reek and are mad unhygienic.
Next question.

I'm all for supporting FLGSs, but gamestore regulars need to be tied to the gallows.
>>
>>98826533
No, it's not cool that a bunch of neurotics were given a new thing to be neurotic about.
>>
>>98826935
In this case the only neurotic is you.

Why are we getting raided?

NTA
I disagree with you.
>>
>>98826955
I didn't ask.
>>
>>98826489
This might just be a thing local to you, man. This isn't a policy anywhere I've been for years.
>>
>>98826967
Ive seen it in Seattle and Chicago, so it could be limited to major metro areas or anywhere with a heavy Leftist population.
>>
Why are we letting geriatrics and trailer park wastrels onto the internet?

>Prior to 2020 those kinds of immunocompromised people wouldn't risk going to a public place like a games store, especially during flu season.
Nah, same people as before at mine they just all do this shit now.
>>
>>98826981
Probably a mix of both. I used to live in a pretty leftist university town but the store there didn't require masks even in like 2022 because it was rural. I live in a moderately sized city now and there still aren't masks required.

Politics. Certain groups were completely mindbroken by the retards who pretended COVID didn't exist, so they went full retard in the opposite direction; it's like that lesbian bar story that was making the rounds a few weeks ago. If you move to a normal part of the country you won't see these people.
>>
>>98827038
I'm put off by both the store policies and, even absent those, the culture of still masking. I didn't have a great time during COVID and blame people like that for lockdown measures continuing way longer than they needed to, and the general unfriendliness and unhealthiness of what I thought was my subculture. So yes, a lot of it is personal and petty, I just get annoyed when other people treat still masking as normal and expected when it very much is not.
>>
>>98827304
But what do those certain groups have to do with a children's card game, pretend-elf stories, and plastic army dudes? Why don't sports people or knitters or whatever other normie hobby have to deal with this?
>>
>>98826489
It wouldn't be a problem if you guys brushed your teeth.
>>
>>98826515
>Gamers have bad breath
What the fuck does that have to do with wearing a cloth mask?
>>
>>98827323
Could fantasy nerds perhaps just be more neurotic?
>>
>>98826489
My workplace has strong masking protocols.

I work at a hospital.
>>
>>98826489
Because of the neckbeard stink. You folks need to take a gods-damned shower once in a while.

>because we don’t want your filth and disease here, you chud. Chud. Game stores are for every one
>>
>>98826981
To be fair, Seattle doesn't have that heavy of a leftist population, just a very vocal and opinionated minority that never shuts the hell up. Most of WA State is hard conservatives living around and through forests and logging zones that just want to be left alone by city slickers, governments and anyone else, really. The only cities that are even here are Seattle and Olympia, and even within them, most people don't buy the California politics.
