One of them would not solo the 40k universe. Necrons at the very least would easily be able to handle one.

The meme is that is has to be the Dalek Empire at ITS HEIGHT. That is the thing that can solo literally anything apart from MAYBE the Xeelee Birds.

One of the main battles of the Last Great Time War was the Daleks and Time Lords fighting over the first moments of creation in order to make the laws of physics play out in a way that was beneficial to them. The Time Lords had previously used this principle to remove magic as a real concept from the laws of nature (with the exception of some parlour tricks like blood control or arguably regeneration. The Daleks have the ability to rewrite the rules of the setting so the Warp doesn't exist never did exist. The Daleks are masters of space in the same way that the Time Lords are masters of time and they can also time travel. If you can't time travel then you don't just lose, it was never even physically possible for you to do anything except lose.

Even races that are masters of time travel can only "win" by destroying the universe and ending time itself. Daleks sweep essentially everything
>>
>>98842564

>>98842564
The Warp is so full of time fuckery that things in it exist retroactively, and things can move through time inside it. Daleks could go back to the start of time to try to fuck with stuff, but it'd be happening under different metaphysical rules than they're used to playing with, and it's entirely possible that Chaos will just fuck the whole thing up for them.

The problem is that one dalek can build some really dangerous shit if you give them enough time, and if they have onboard time-teleport they are essentially uncatchable by anything in the 40k setting.

A single Dalek, using only the tech available to 1940s earth, build an android that could pass a medical exam, which didn't even know it was an android, and had a bomb hidden in its chest that would have turned the Earth to gravel if it went off. This planet-busting sleeper agent existed purely to be a *distraction* to ensure that they could get away with their main plan, but realistically just spamming those and infiltrating them around the 40k galaxy would be a slow but effective way to collapse the Imperium. You only need a single infiltrator to make planetfall and then even if they are discovered as long as the bomb goes off they win.

If you have a team of 5-10 Daleks, I think its actually entirely possible that they destroy, or enslave and weaponize, the Warp as a dimension. Probably destroy, since they wouldn't tolerate the existence of demons.
>>
>>98841404
Davros could solo 40k because he can make a bomb that destroys a multiverse.
>>
>>98841404
Any military force that can reliably and consistently be foiled by one (very) smart guy with a screwdriver, no plan, and 2-5 random civilian hangers-on, is not soloing 40k.

>>
>>98842991
You're adorable.
>>
>>98843442
Take note though that in this sleeper agent example, they're running that at a tech level that humans in the 1940s can't figure out. Even if people in the modern day couldn't figure it out, that doesn't mean people in the year 40k couldn't figure it out. It also doesn't account for the technologies of the other species that live in the galaxy.

If you want to get really technical, Daleks also probably fall to Khorne due to Warp fuckery. They might literally just not have a chance. And at that point, they wouldn't have any interest in doing big schemes anymore, and would just be reduced to angry tentacle gremlins in kill bots, which is what they already were.
>>
>>98843782
Yes, but it only works if no one figures it out before he builds it and sets it off. Which, 40k might be a setting where that's actually even harder to do than it is in the setting he came from.
>>
>>98842439
40k has other forms of reality warping though. Which, even if THAT isn't perfect, it could still be the metaphorical sonic screwdriver that causes their plans to get bungled. The existence of Warp entities, who exist across time in extraspacial realms and can reach into real space, and bullshit like Orc collective consciousness powers, could actually stifle Dalek plans and technologies. And, given how stories are generally written, that's what would happen
>>
>>98844069
Go back before time, delete Warp. The end.
>>
>>98841404
Temporal changes in 40k are neither instant or necessarily effecting. The Warp is atemporal. I also don't believe the Daleks are immune to corruption.
>>
>>98844072
The Warp insists upon itself, it is retroactive and non-conforming to metaphysics. More likely that the Warp deletes everything. Most Verses vs 40k doesn't work because of that. Breaking everything is the end goal of the 40k setting. Not him.
>>
>>98844072
That assumes that in 40k's reality, a point "before time" exists. That might not be the case. And like >>98844256 points out, the Warp interacts very bizarrely with time anyway. For example, demons of Slaanesh exist in the period of time before Slaanesh's birth would justify their existence, BECAUSE Slaanesh came to exist. Their presence in the Warp became true, and therefore they were able to appear before they chronologically should have been able to due.
>>
>>98841404
Dalek's would never be in 40k, they would be taken from the table by a GW staffer or a tournament autist muttering about 'copyright infringment' and 'non GW products'.

The closest time when they did enter the game was when Rick Priestly mentioned a version being included as crappy robots called 'Extermintators', or a pic of them being used as mobile robot bombs in 1st ed Rogue Trader book.

Anyway, Dalek wank power levels have been all over the place over the years - in the film Invasion Earth a human plumber could push them down a ramp causing them to explode when they went to fast. British 1970s troops shot a few up with 9mm SMGs by aiming at the eye stalks. A Doctor's assistant beat one to bits with a baseball bat. The other end of the spectrum is just a couple taking over entire worlds. Dr Who lore is less stable than the crap the Black Library puts out, so trying to work out what kills what is pointless.
>>
>>98842991
Not only can the Daleks handle that, they have a specific evolutionary trait implanted to deal with it. You have to remember that Daleks, like Time Lords aren't just technologically advanced, they literally have one foot in both the physical plane and higher realities at all times.

Daleks are time sensitive species wide which means they're capable awareness when time fuckery is in place. To give an example, during the events of the Stolen Earth, Daleks had created a sequence of events that looking into the future showed would destroy the universe. From the local view of time available, it was a certainty that there was no future except the end. In this time, a dalek drone encountered a human who's death in a future that no longer existed was a fixed point and despite that future not currently existing, this individual dalek was able to perceive it as in-alterable and didn't kill her (laws of time are complicated but don't think of this as a dalek being unable to kill her, just that doing so would have temporal effects which might damage the dalek strategem). When you get to the specific caste which exists for time warfare like the Dalek Eternal, Time Controller, or Time Strategist it's just a whole different ball game.
>>98844029
The sleeper agent was an ad hoc solution using local materials that was built just good enough to do what they wanted. When Daleks actually want to infiltrate they send Dalek puppets which are real people converted into slaves with nanogenes.

There's a 0% chance of them falling to Khorne because that would mean worshiping something that is not Dalek. If anything, daleks arriving in 40K would produce a new Chaos god of Daleks which they would then exterminate for being insufficiently pure.

In summary, Daleks are immune to warp fuckery due to species wide adaptations, their technology is beyond anything 40K has access to, and they have no interest in Khorne or any other less species.
>>
>>98844319
>>98844256
>>98844072
It's possible that from a temporal fuckery perspective Chaos Gods might be equivalent to the Could-Have-Been-King with demons being 40k versions of Meanwhiles and Never-Weres. This somewhat tracks with Chaos becoming a thing due to disruptions in the Warp during the War in Heaven which might have parallels in the Time War. I do think it's worth noting that Chaos seems to be tied to the Milky Way Galaxy while Daleks are an intergalactic player so if the Warp is too fucky they can just destroy the galaxy to get rid of the problem all together
>>
>>98841404
Lamest villain to ever exist. The stuff mentioned off hand or that get one episode in doctor who are more interesting.
>>
>>98841935
Sure.
And time travel is a tech that Dalek's only had liberal access to during the pinnacle of their civilization.
Post-empire daleks could probably also piece it together if in a large organized group too.
But a single isolated Dalek soldier?
No.
Its extremely dangerous and durable, but there are plenty of things in 40k that could pose a threat to it.
>>
>>98841404
Its an absolute fucking crime what they've done to Dr Who.
The modern stuff is practically unwatchable.
>>
>>98844029
>If you want to get really technical, Daleks also probably fall to Khorne due to Warp fuckery.

Daleks are in no way unfamiliar with space gods, psychic phenomenon, or eldritch dimensions in their home universe. Warp corruption is genuinely not special as far as Doctor Who is concerned.
>>
>>98844319
>For example, demons of Slaanesh exist in the period of time before Slaanesh's birth would justify their existence, BECAUSE Slaanesh came to exist. Their presence in the Warp became true, and therefore they were able to appear before they chronologically should have been able to due.

I don't know why everyone jumps on this as an excuse to call the warp acausal in nature, when Slaneesh herself very clearly didn't exist prior to her birth so time DOES exist in the warp.
It seems more obvious to me that slaneesh-coded demons showing up prior to Slaneesh's actual manifestation was simple a result of them being born of the same mental energies that were feeding Slaneesh's birth. Foreshocks ahead of the main earthquake. The warp is *full* of unaligned demons that don't specifically extend from any specific chaos god, because they are manifestations of lesser emotions or thoughts or ideas that haven't snowballed into a chaos god. It is, in fact, nigh unthinkable that you could have the Eldar accidentally birth Slaneesh *without* creating a bunch of deamonettes first, because that would have required them to have gone from zero% hedonism to 200% hedonism at instant speed with no warning, and we know that the Eldar empire was a long and slow decline.
>>
>>98844599
>If anything, daleks arriving in 40K would produce a new Chaos god of Daleks which they would then exterminate for being insufficiently pure.

They would use it as a weapon to kill the other chaos gods/as much other mortal life as possible. And then, if its really the manifest will of the daleks, the dalek god would probably kill *itself* for being insufficiently pure.

>>98844782
This isn't strictly accurate. Daleks had access to time travel for the majority of their existence, they just didn't use it very often because it wasn't necessary for their war and starting a time war would get more powerful enemies involved. Time warfare is a last resort for almost everyone, even the Time Lords didn't attempt an antigenesis against the Daleks until they were sure that without intervention the Daleks would conquer the universe

>only had liberal access to during the pinnacle of their civilization
As soon as they got it they rewrote reality so they always had it.

The Time Lords did the same. They got time travel, then rewrote the multiverse to declare that they were the supreme, eternal, masters of time and reality and nothing could beat them. That the Daleks were able to reach an equal playing field was a gigantic blow to their ego and fueled a lot of character development and worldbuilding in the setting. Including probably part of the reason why Gallifrey finally decided to throw down with the Daleks once and for all, and wrecked most of the omniverse in the process.

Ah, the Whovians are raiding us today.
Your using the Dalek empire at its pinnacle if power as opposed to its more grounded form that it exists in for most of the franchise. That's fine.
I will therefore use Dark Age of Technology humanity to counter you. Our light shipboard weapon is a temporal cannon that overlays the target with itself from a nanosecond ago causing it to exist in the same space and time simultaneously and annihilating itself. Do note that this is merely an armour cracker and not an actual ship killer, and that humanity in this period was capable of much, much, much more.
Your Dalek empire might manage a Tau empire and take a few fringe systems before being stomped.
>>
>>98844991
There used to be five laws of thermodynamics in the universe. The Daleks deleted two of them. Can DAoT humanity put them back?
>>

>Your using the Dalek empire at its pinnacle if power as opposed to its more grounded form that it exists in for most of the franchise.

Anon, everything he mentioned in his post happened on-screen with dalek remnant actions *after* the height of their power. We're talking shit thats been canon for like 10-15 years at this point, you can't keep hiding from it by pretending that everything made after the year 2000 is an exception to the rule.

DAoT Humanity. I just win as, canonically, there is nothing out there that can stop DAoT until the AI rebellion/war with the Men of Iron. You try to do timey wimey things? Cute, temporal lock, all your stuff is negated, humanity wins.you try to fight? Good look against the literally unending tide of kill bots that never stop and carry weapons that don't care about your metaphysics. Try to run? We are waiting for you when you get there. You lose.
>>
>>98845079
The real problem is that he's focusing on what is, at best, tactical uses of time tech instead of strategic because the DAOT has no evidence of strategic level time travel. It literally doesn't matter if the DAOT fleet wins the fight if a single Dalek observer does an emergency time teleport with a full battle report, goes back to before the battle began, and the Daleks counterplay everything on the second go-around. The daleks can do the battle over as many times as it takes for them to be satisfied with the outcome, savescumming the war to victory.

It's not middle of the road anon. Daleks and Time Lords were going back to before reality existed and changing the conditions of the Big Bang just to give them on-the-go advantages, it was a standardized battle tactic.

None of them would give a single solitary fuck about somebody rewinding time to kill them in a past/present paradox or grandfather paradox or any sort of paradox, they literally had paradox engines to make sure they were immune to that tactic. It's kiddy pool tier while Daleks and Time Lords are off playing in the ocean where leviathans live.

>Your
>Our
Hate to break it to you but everything from the DAoT is childsplay to the Dalek Empire of the Stolen Earth, never mind the Time War Empire. A clue to this is the scale: DAOT humanity got a good chunk of the Milky Way, the Dalek Empire was conquering multiple galaxies simultaneously.
The Men of Iron would charitably be equivalent to the Cybermen or at a stretch the Movellans, both of whom the Daleks defeated with minimal effort or with a fraction of their peak power. You talk about 40K temporal locks as if they're a war winner but compared to the Time lock Dalek used around entire planets it's pretty funny. The Dalek Pathweb hive mind is immune to temporal disturbance and allows total instantaneous communication and information sharing anywhere in space and time. You think unending kill bots with exotic weapons is impressive until the Daleks mine alternate realities to bring in infinite numbers of alternate Daleks in the form of the Skaro Degradations or they dump nanogenes and turn the guard against itself for fun. Daleks wage war at a level that reshapes the entire universe and 40K humanity doesn't have a single way to counter it. Even the C'tan or Old Ones aren't in the same league, humanity just isn't playing the same game.
>>
>>98845098
You're presuming that something as primitive as a temporal snare would confer an advantage. Stolen Earth Empire Daleks were explicitly able to bypass extrapolator shielding like it was wood despite it being plugged into a TARDIS. Maybe you can say that they weren't able to bypass Torchwood's time lock but that was both a timelock, which we know is a more powerful concept and was also only able to be used defensively. Dalek Caan's emergency temporal shift was able to break through the time lock of the Time War itself so I think we can safely assume that the ability to selectively slow down time isn't even something they'd notice. I'm not aware of humanity being able to pull off an antigenesis attack, for example, and that's a bargain bin tactic even by pre-Time War daleks
>>
>>98845276
Honestly, I'd mostly be worried about the Daleks just turning DAOT tech against the humans. We know from canon that DAOT ran on AI in basically everything, and when the Men of Iron turned against them it destroyed their civilization. It would be extremely efficient for the Daleks to simply co-opt the DAOT AIs with some kind of subversion program and just kick off the Men of Iron rebellion early, under Dalek control, with the Daleks themselves playing cleanup at whatever pockets of effective resistance remained. They have essentially infinite time to come up with the malware, and if needed can go back in time and manipulate events to pre-install a backdoor if all else fails.
>>
>>98845343
Sure, I was just pointing out that there's really no point in arguing the tactical level at all if you can't answer the strategic level. As long as he thinks that quoting DAOT weapons with levels of firepower measured in gigatons or anything matters, he's playing the wrong game.

And to be clear, while the Daleks are obviously among the *worst* enemies to get into a time war with, the fact is that ANY faction with consistent access to time travel will always beat a faction that doesn't. Its unthinkable for that not to be the case, unless the faction without time travel is literally unkillable by any means and infinite retries and foreknowledge can't help you, but at that point we're having a very different conversation. For the purposes of this conversation the Daleks are *at their absolute weakest* still a major threat to the Imperium/40k setting as a whole, and once you add time travel to the mix there's really nothing in 40k that can possible stop them because if anyone in 40k had the ability to answer that problem there wouldn't still be a 40k setting, someone else would have retroactively already won by now.
>>
>>98843442
Ironically, Daleks do not generate warp based issues because they have no belief other than 'daleks are best and will rule the universe'.
>>
The Daleks defeat 40K in being a franchise whose fans got really upset they got made fun of and so started trying to playground-fight their preferred franchises power levels to show how totally not lame it was. Which is quite impressive because 40K fans were getting quite up their own ass there for a while in the 00's-10's before the franchise started leaning into the ridiculousness again. Who on the other hand has reached peak levels of cringe with taking a lighthearted low-budget show about a funny man running away from angry robots and trying to make it, well, 40K. Trying to say every weekly alien that the Doctors current unarmed human girlfriend can easily outrun from is some kind of God that destroys universes whenever he sneezes.
>>
>>98842287
40k is multiple settings stitched together vaguely. It's not coherent at all.
>>
>>98845391
The whinging of a 40kid salty over his defeat.
>>
lol the cope of 40k fans is hilarious. I think the Dr Who universe sucks. Boring as all hell. The 40k universe is a hundred times more interesting. But there shouldn't even be a debate on who would win if they were fighting Daleks. None of the players in the 40k universe dominate their own Galaxy, but Daleks dominate every conceivable timeline and reality in theirs. Even gods flee before them. Only the time lords have managed to put up a decent fight. It's like debating who would win between ooga booga tribes of ancient Africa versus the Q continuum from Star Trek. 40k is so outmatched it's unreal.
>>
>>98845429
How is it a salty 40K fan post if it specifically call out 40K fans/franchise for engaging in the same behavior?
>>
Rather than mashing peaks together, let's say instead of a max vs max the Cult of Skaro's void ship shows up in a random hive world at the dawn of the 41st Millennium. How do they go about creating a new empire? Say the ghost cybermen from the alternate Earth also follow them, how does that extra attention change their plans? If the cult can't get into the Genesis Ark without a source of temporal energy are they able to trick someone from 40K into travelling through the vortex and touching it since the only time active civilisation in 40K are the Necrons who also cannot touch or do they have to proceed to the Final Experiment?

Ultimately, can the races of the Milky Way detect them in time and more importantly, does it even matter? Is there anything they can do about it?

Also, who wins in a fight, Dalek Thay or a Hive Tyrant?
>>
>>98845444
>>98845375
I think you misunderstood my point. I quoted the relative strength of a standard issue light armour cracker because it is the closest thing we have to a glimps at what DAoT Humanity was like. The tech has always been left largely undescribed precisely because of how ludicrously powerful it was, there is no way to put it into words. Your Daleks are on the wrong side of a pissing contest that was over before they even showed up.
What you see in 40k, or even 30k, no matter how impressive it may seem, is nothing in comparison. The Imperium of Man is a primitive barbaric tribe picking over the remnants of a vastly greater super power, everything they have from tanks to titans to starship and hive cities are crude imitations of what once was. As a good example, the Landraider assault tank, a Premier vehicle used by the elite of the Imperial forces, and a feared sight on the battlefield, was a cheap and rather basic exploratory tractor in DAoT times designed to be deployed to undeveloped planets and allow exploration teams to recontoire the planet.
Your not winning, your not getting a single Dalek away to savescum the fight, your dead before you even begin.

>>98845450
>>98845391
Don't bother, Whovians are some of the most terminally autistic power level munchkins in the scifi community, and I say that as someone who enjoys the show. In their eyes nothing can beat their franchise because they say it can't and admitting otherwise would shatter their fragile ego. You will note that for every counter they have a "nuh-uh" that usually goes back to "muh time travel" and anything that might stop it or plausibly mess their empire up some other way, ie the Warp, either just doesn't work because reasons, or is handwaved away. Even Trekkies are not as bad.
>>
>>98845583
>Even Trekkies are not as bad.
Eh, I'd say most Trekkies are perfectly willing to admit that Trek (or at least classic and 90's Trek because NuTrek is rightly considered abomination) is hyper-episodic and any universe destroying gizmo invented in one episode more or less ceases to exist once the credits roll. Which makes sense since Trek is merely using Sci-Fi as a vehicle to explore ethical dilemmas and such rather than trying to create consistent logistics for Starfleet. Hence all the jokes about "technobabble" being magic that can do anything.
>>
>>98845473
I think that the Daleks, showing up in what is presumably an unfamiliar time and universe, would initially lay low to gather information. As you say, they need a source of temporal energy and don't readily have access to it, so they would want to determine what their options are before making their move. I suspect that they would remove themselves and their operations to the Underhive, since its less traveled and nothing down there is a threat to them, while they figure out their options.

If the cybermen spill over as well, the Daleks will probably just use that as cover while they amass whatever resources they find useful. I think that an average hive city would probably be able to thwart the cybermen invasion on its own, they have the numbers and the guns to fight the 'army of ghosts', but millions of cybermen teleporting into existence around the planet is going to cause a hell of a disruption and the daleks would probably use that chaos to secure whatever they think they need under the fog of war because disappearing.

I feel like the Cult of Skarro's plan to open the genesis ark would *probably* be to cobble together a shitty, dirty time machine and toss captured mutants or hivedwellers into it until someone comes out the other side with enough temporal charge on their body to wake up the genesis ark, at which point they have accomplished their win condition and you have an army of timewar-era daleks ready for battle.

Pure supposition, no limits fallacy bullshit. If the DAOT was actually as strong as you say, there would be more evidence of their passing and half the factions of 40k wouldn't have survived to the modern era.

You're trying to powerwank the DAOT into infinitely powerful reality-warping strength, but they never got rid of Orks or broke the Eldar, or even expanded beyond occupying 'most' of a single galaxy. The canon of 40k is incompatible with what you are trying to claim, just like claims that the Emperor was the most powerful, most charismatic, most brilliant fucker who ever lived is incompatible with the events of the Horus Heresy. You gotta stop taking in-universe hype statements as fact with the evidence to back it up, anon.

It is true that there's a clear cause and effect in the creation of Slaanesh. That's not really what I'm saying anything against here. What I'm trying to convey is that because the Warp interacts bizarrely with time, and the psychic nonsense sometimes causes time travel type events to occur, daemons (specifically of Slaanesh, not just daemons that are Slaanesh-coded) were able to appear in the galaxy prior to the birth of Slaanesh. They were just able to manifest out from the Warp at a point in the timeline earlier than Slaanesh's birth. Their ability to be present in the Materium is basically retroactive, because of the Warp's inherent relationship with time. You can say the same thing about the daemons associated with the other Chaos Gods, technically, Slaanesh's is just such a much more recent historic event that it drives this home more easily.

Try including them in a game of 11th edition 40k and listen to the autists scream about them not being in a current codex.

Also, why are the cybermen waving dildos? Are they corrupted by Slaneesh?

Eldar largely avoided humanity or had cordial relationships and orks and fungoid but were probably driven to the borders.
You also forget that back then humanity was far less xenophobic and tried to keep alien races alive. It was only after the aliens backstabbed them in the war against the Men of Iron that humanity turned fully xenophobic and even then there were plenty of human holdouts whom got along with aliens, at least until the Imperium arrived.

And the point is that even the most favourable reading of what DAoT can do is the sort of thing that shows up in an episode of the week format for Who. No one doubts that DAoT is functionally godtech compared to current day 40K, the point is that even that it's not all that impressive in the grand scheme of sci fi properties. Doctor Who is ludicrously powerful by Sci Fi standards and the Daleks are the apex predator of that setting. Even simple stuff supports this, like the ability to traverse intergalactic space, teleportation, and medical technology all speak to Doctor Who's baseline just being so much higher than even how the Old Ones or Necrons are described in their peak.

This.
Doesn't matter what flumkus bumkus technolungus device they make that can wipe out the known universe and is the size and shape of an egg timer, they consistently operate with next to no tactical competence, and only ever win engagements under very few circumstances.

>1. Sudden mass assault that takes the area before the enemy has time to form a response (which in fairness they can do, being fast moving minitanks, but never much).
>They go up against armed forces, but they have no training on dealing with Darleks, do not have peer weapons, are at pistol ranges, and are in an open area.
>They go up against literal civilians.
>They go up against slightly less inferior troops that also operate even more stupidly than them.

Any other circumstance, they inevitably get beaten off, foiled, defeated or destroyed. They're easily goaded, easily misdirected. Their tactics basically consist of moving up at relatively moderate speeds, and loudly announcing they're going to fire, before firing a short-range beam weapon. They don't use cover, they don't use squad tactics. Nor apparently, a brain.
The Doctor repeatedly has beaten Darleks 1 on 1 with a ranged screwdriver. Not even cleverly, just by running/walking up close, saying "Hi Dalek" and waving it at one to flip a switch.
They can be beaten by a bri'ish highschool girl with a baseball bat.

>Oh but dey can just drag their extermination ray over everything in front of them and kill them all.
And yet they don't do that! Because either; they technologically cannot do that. Or, they're just that fucking stupid.

A Darlek couldn't solo a fucking Schola.

Doctor Who is simply a much larger and more powerful setting than 40k, and that's okay. Could a single Dalek solo 40k? Hell no. But once you start moving into the pinnacles of the setting 40k gets outclassed by a margin. Humanity in Doctor Who has multiple empires that span multiple galaxies with access to time travel, spatial manipulation, and easy FTL travel; they're considered middling powers at best in the setting. One of the Doctor Who human empires outright destroyed a galaxy to win a war, DAoT humanity doesn't operate at those levels.
>>
>>98844991
judging from what the new squats full of DaoT tech have shown us chances are these kinds of claims are a giant load of shit and the dark age is comically overwanked compared to the reality
>>
>>98845473
They can get temporal energy if they need to, it just requires one of them doing a temporal shift to somewhere they can get at it. Remember Caan emergency shifted himself at the end of that finale. They got Rose to do it instead because she was available and nearby. They could otherwise sit forever in their Void Ship completely unbothered, waiting for someone to come along who had what they needed. It was patience.

>>98845583
Even Whovians admit defeat to Downstreamers.
>>
>>98846813
It's an unstoppable force versus immovable object paradox at that point. Usually in that kind of autist debate the fair thing would be that if you're going to remove something from one side, you will then have to remove something equally valuable from the other. So in Dalek vs 40K, if Daleks don't get time travel, for example, 40K does not get the Warp. At all. Immediately, of course, the Imperium and 40K galaxy is fucked because it's a fundamental part of 40K's narrative and doesn't work without it, just like the Daleks exist in a franchise that is fundamentally about time travel.

Are we talking Cybus Cybermen or Mondasian Cybermen? The former aren't that big a threat in 40k (barring how they might interact with Imperium and Tau tech) while the latter could rapidly turn into a major problem if they're able to get cyber-conversion units into hive cities or low-tech worlds.
>>
>>98842564
Time is literally just distance
>>
>>98847778
If this is army of ghosts, that means Cybus. So its not like they are NOT dangerous, they'd still kill a bunch of people if dropped in the middle of a hive world in a millions strong army, but by 40k standards they are a small potatoes problem. They are bulletproof, not plasma proof or bolter-proof.
>>
>>98841404
One Dalek solos a shitload of stuff but a Dalek army always lose. Everyone knows this.
>>
>>98847887
Cybus Cybermen are a planetary level of problem. Though if they can take a hive and start upgrading its inhabitants they'd be a bitch and a half to dislodge.
>>
>>98847929
Thats true. On the off chance that they actually took a planet, especially a populated hive world, with their technology they'd be able to produce a fleet and become a real nuisance at what is considered a fast pace by 40k standards. Cybermen that have incorporated 40k tech into their designs would also become significantly more dangerous.
But thats much easier said than done. The army of ghosts was only 'millions' of cybermen around the world, which teleporting into people's houses in a simultaneous deployment is a hell of an opening move, but thats just not *enough* of them to realistically overtake a Hive World.
>>
>>98847887
meh planetary defense forces are gigajobbers so if there's no nearby armies the planet is probably fucked or trapped in a forever war at best

Sure, but they can still do a LOT of harm before that happens. The doctor always defeats the Daleks eventually, but that doesn't mean they didn't kill billions before he got there. Earth has plot armor, but humanity can lose hundreds of other worlds without it pinging the doctor's radar until he drops in to a vacation spot on a whim and finds it in the midst of a doomsday plot.

The Jodie Whittaker stuff was all ass (blame Chibnall for this, Jodie is actually a good actor otherwise), but Ncuti Gatwa's Doctor had some pretty good episodes.
