>find out about a cool game>nobody in the area plays it>find out about a cool game>nobody in the area plays it>find out about a cool game>nobody in the area plays itfuckin warhammer players refuse to play anything else. it's enough to drive a man insane.
>>98846938Playoids don't have an option. They will play what I want them to play.
>>98846938find a club, not an lgsclubs tend to have more varied games going on
>>98846938warhammer is a lot like D&D in the sense that people who play it will seldom play anything else. I've tried to find people who play other games and the people who play those two games will not play anything else.
>>98846938>nogames so hard you can't even post the name of the nogame you don't play
>>98846966>clubs>in north americavery funny joke, anon.
>be me>discover battletech>no one at LGS wants to play>only want to play 40k>discover shadowrun>nobody wants to play>just play D&D>MFW people bored with 40k and D&D won't even try other games.
>>98847022Before I moved I was part of a club with around 10 members (it fluctuated up and down). This was in Toronto Canada. We did actually play more games than just 40K and D&D. We played Full Thrust, Star Wars d20, Deathwatch and a few board games.
>>98846998Not OP but Conquest: Last Argument of Kings
>>98846966>>98847022most stores in the states from what I've seen either don't have enough tables to play or they don't have any at all and focus more on things like pokemon cards.
>>98847059The most tables I've seen at a LGS in North America was 3 4x4 tables.
>>98847119most stores opening up nowadays just have pokemon with some other things and no tables to play.
>>98846938Because too many game stores and players have been burned by other companies.
>>98847145This is why you see so many LGS focus on the 3 main games of their categories.stores know if they have 40k, magic and D&D that people will definitely come to play. Meanwhile, there's no guarantee to get people to come play games like battletech, VtM or the other TCGs.
>>98847176idk, at my area there's a battletech scene and a star wars legion scene, there used to be a bolt action scene but idk how that's going. Granted, the battletech scene is focused on one store and the legion scene is focused at another. Yet to see other games, though, but I know the bolt action scene lasted at least a good 2-3 years before simmering down and was influenced by one dude setting up demo games and organizing with one of the store owners.
>>98846938>get hungry>no one spoonfeeds you>starve to death
>>98847131The one store within reasonable distance from me dabbles almost exclusively in MTG with the occasional YGO and Pokemon.Shit's depressing.
>>98846938>WarhammerThey won't play anything else because they have dumped a lot of cash and time into their game.Same with MtG.
>>98846938>Be a total faggot>Post wojak threads>Blame anyone but self
>>98847042Yeah they fucked themselves with the scale there. GW has been able to boil the frog slowly because they already have market share. Starting bigger was a bold move and didn't really pan out. I like a lot of their sculpts but its harder to justify getting a whole box of them for something I'm aiming to use a a big guy or monster for warband skirmish games.
