>to serve menWhere is my submissive traditional malkavian wife from (17)50s?
We're off to a great start.
>TQMy Ventrue had 3 dots in Hobby Talent: Trivia and the Useful Knowledge and Grand Library 4 Merits, all for the sake of endless chatting with the Toreador.
Hey /WoDg/ I'm a lurker but I want to get into Mage, problem is the 20th anniversary book absolutely sucks. What should I read instead? Don't recommend me Awakening, that game elicits nothing out of a reader.
>>98849615revised or 2e corebook they are both like a third in size and have sections that m20 had to turn into extra books
>>98849615I didn't get the same feeling from 20th so much as "god damn when does it get to mechanics", but I really liked Sorcerers Crusade. Then again I also liked Will Durant's Renaissance back when I read it of my own volition in high school so maybe some nostalgia kicked in since at least one writer seemed to be emulating his manner of writing if not lifting lines outright, I'm not checking.
>>98849631Renaissance book*meant to type that instead of typing out the full Story of Civilization title but I may as well type it now, fug
https://strawpoll.com/NPgxeJK9KZ2/resultsAhkay, I see what's going on - in looks like more people have loyalty to the Order of Hermes itself than the Tremere specifically, interesting.
>>98848501 #I'm not a player. I was going to prepare just the dice rules for them and introduce the world through rp but one of them asked for books to read.
>>98849615Revised has the best summary for Sphere magic, though it comes with a very specific street-level focus that is unique to Revised, it's much more punishing than any other edition.Personally, I just embraced Brucato's pretentious style of writing and ploughed through M20 anyway, while ignoring all of his retarded screeds about turning vampires into chairs.
>>98849615I got you bro !https://smugloli.net/tg/src/1789284943498.pdforhttps://athos.neocities.org/Mage%20the%20Ascension%2020th%20Edition%20SRD%20-%20In%20Memory%20of%20Terry.pdf
How do Sorcerers build their rotes from spheres when they have limited access both in mechanics and in universe?
>>98849744Sorcerers don't use spheres?
>>98849744sorcerers have neither rotes nor spheres they use paths and rituals
Thinking back to the Lupine of VtM 1E.Some of the few lore tidbits we got was that Lupine rampage at the fully moon, have a man/wolfman/wolf form, have other lupine mates and every full moon they turn into a wolf. Not a wolfman, a wolf.Someone this is spread between Bunters Hunted and sporadic other books. But I’m starting to see Lupine the Rage/Hidden form as if it was a World of Darkness splat.Werewolves have a choice every full mom. To become wolves or go mad as wolfmen on a rampage. It’s about given up agency either to the GM or the ability to solve issues as the character is now a wolf.
>>98849361>What is the most flavorful, deliberately unoptimal, ridiculous, personal and/or stupid reason for which you have bought dots in something over the course of a chronicle? Not myself, but a girl at my table playing a Mokole took dots in Mnesis just to get inspiration for her songwriting.
>>98849361A Nosferatu PC blood bonded himself to a Gangrel in order to get a point in Protean in order to learn Unmarked Grave. He was a prepper and convinced that nuclear armageddon was inbound, but if he could sleep off the grid and away from population centres in the soil, he'd be able to survive it.Uratha caught up with him and now he's staked in a cellar. Alas.
>>98849852that sounds like some kind of werewolf apocalypse
Anyone here ever actually run or play CtD? If so, what was the chronicle about? If you're a nogames but interested, what would your chronicle be about?
>>98849671If I understand this right, you want to have players who start as clueless fledglings. There is a tradition some STs follow, called Prelude, where the ST and one player at a time roleplay a PC's last moments as a mortal before they get the Embrace.Besides the books I already mentioned in the last thread (Core, Player's Guide, Clan and Covenant books, Rites of the Blood and Testament of Longinus if relevant), I can't help but notice there really is no Big Book of Ignorant Fledglings, but maybe there is an exception. The Blue Book, that is, the Chronicles of Darkness core rulebook (the one that in 1st edition it was called World of Darkness).Maybe can help your player get the vibes of CofD, it's what you use to play mortal campaigns and if you do choose to play Preludes it sorta kinda fits there, and it also helps with introducing the mechanics shared by CofD splats while we're at it.You can also give the players the media recommended by the writers of both the Blue Book and VtR 2e core.
>TQI have 2 dots in performance because its my headcanon that Bakeslave likes to sing karaoke on saturday nights and play the guitar recreationally.
The Avatar Storm is the most retarded thing to ever happen to this setting. It's sad reading The Book of Chantries and seeing all the flavor and potential that White Wolf threw away just because they wanted to autistically force players to only do street-level campaigns.Though realistically they probably only did it because they realized that, the way the setting was established, mages would by necessity have to play a primary role in the apocalypse subplot that never ended up paying off. So they decided instead to just arbitrarily kill off all the important mages so that they wouldn't overshadow the vampire cash cow.
>>98850895Just buy Stormwarden?
>>98850901Doesn't address the core issue of each faction's archmage leadership and horizon realm chantries effectively not existing anymore.
My current PC is being stalked by a hunter, and I took dots in Animal Ken so I can steal her dogs. I'm working up that rapport, it'll probably be a bit before I actually take them.
>>98850938this is ntr
>>98849361Are there any big differences between the 1st, 2nd and 3rd edition prints of VtM? I'm primarily interested in using it as a fluff reference, not going to run the campaign with WoD rules but having the hard copy on hand is nice.
Post music that fits WoD without being from official WoD products or mentioned in the manuals.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFEXNKplqVU
>>98849361Gave a dot of Academics to Shark because I assumed that without the equivalent of a high school education Shark wouldn’t be able to read, or discuss anything beyond caveman speak. Also third week without a game. ST hadn’t sleep at all since he was handling a crisis so today’s game was canceled. Also Mathilda is probably permanently leaving the game. They had to move to another state for work and they were handed their schedule at the last minute, without any say in it. So for now until perhaps the end of the Holidays we’re sure not to see them again, perhaps ever… but we still have hope. Plus me and Catalina’s player have been handling stuff just fine just the two of us. So we can wait. And we got another player joining in November.
>>98850979Do you mean printings of the 2nd edition manual, or do you mean editions of the game? The game changes quite a lot between every edition. The third edition is called Revised, the fourth is the 20th anniversary version with a larger and comprehensive tome.
>>98851153Anything by Chris Shardshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yt1YF4aR2a4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adF2xsYsuaUand any thing by Rik Schaffer of coursehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTOblKaPK9Q&list=PLZJfxWIcWTHtLC2Ioh1gwdLBU7Nx_1aYQAnd here is a playlist from an artist, Orsartag, who was trying to recreate the feel of bloodlines music.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pur0Qt9-4LU&list=PLUn1Od-GnHtrLU9PlTLNYgAXCktMtNv2aIt's getting harder to find cool artist recently, everything from recent years now has the AI question hanging over it. I get the feeling its discouraging new artists who are trying alternative styles of music.
>>98851224Printings, not editions my bad. Specifically interested in VtM 90s not Requiem or anything after.
>>98851201ST announced us that we have reached the 1/3 of the campaign. After a whole year (today’s the anniversary). With Shark becoming a Methusalah and Triatic head of the Wyrm in the first 1/3, I wonder what the other 2/3 has in store for us. I know there’s Hitler getting into power and WW2. He predicted another year! So that’s nice. Also ST has already planned the next chronicle. It’s in a homebrew world. Though it uses the vampire system it has nothing to do with vampires. Basically the people with special powers are direct descendants of the First men who aligned themselves with the gods (think of the two brothers from RWBY). There’s multiple eras with different civilizations. The current one is a mix of 40K but with more Roman civilization, mixed with Trench Crusade, and Cyberpunk depending on the nations. There are only humans, but the people who have rebelled against the gods have been turned into Warhammer Fantasy’s beastmens. They’re pretty much KoS everywhere and like their inspiration are bent on destroying civilization. Though since they’re all humans they can breed with normal people, which makes less animalistic offsprings.I think that I want to make a catgirl merchant and play the worst stereotypes of the Jews and Gypsies. Though that’s a concept for now. My mind will surely change in a year.
>>98851287I know VTM Revised edition had a Limited Edition, the manual is identical but has a faux leather cover and comes with an artbook
>>98851301That doesn't seem likely to be available but good to keep an eye out for thanks anon. Looks like the 2nd printing has 270 pages and the 3rd has 312 pages so there are some differences but likely not too relevant to my needs.
>>98851301not him, but does its artbook pop right off the fucking spine like the artbook that came with mage revised?
>>98850895Never forget MECHA...
>>98851362>>98850979I believe that drivethrurpg does print on demand for most of WoD to most of the world. You can check there if you want to get your hands on a physical copy of the most up to date printing. V20 could be an option if your just wanting a reference manual. It was designed to pull all of oWoD VtM into one place after all, which it did an alright job of.
>>98849629oh, what sections? I've only really read mage 20 as part of my dive into the rest of 20th from VTM and it was really obvious they chopped the thing into extra books.
>>98851201My sincere condolences for your ST's health. I hope they get better and y'all get to play sooner.
>>98851381It looks like its just The Revised/20th aniversary edition and some of the stuff around Books of Nod. This might be useful from the description really, I'll see if its in a trove to check. Thanks for the lead anon.
I'm doing a one shot for W20 and want to come up with some characters. I don't think I'll have options for every clan, and I was thinking of maybe 2 characters per clan (I do just enjoy making characters). So I was thinking, for Auspices, for each clan, which 2 Auspices do you think best gel with the Clan's general gifts/stereotypes? I.e. for Bone Gnawers a Ragabash makes sense. Curious as to other peoples perception on this.
>>98851811I'm pretty sure the tribe books in the OP should have you covered even if a couple of the pre generated characters are hanky as hell.

Is there a book for the Society of Leopold or the Arcanum?

Ever envious of another person’s game? Like wanting to join but they’re already full?
I wake up at a quarter to 5 in the p.m. every evening. That's about 12 hours before most vampires wake up Heh. I am a very spiritual person. I start each day by thanking the mortals for the sunrise. For the land I walk on. For the air I breathe. I also apologize for vampires. But Lord knows they ain't gonna apologize for themselves.I am not a Cainite. Nor do I consider myself to be a Cainite. Many people mistake me for being leech because they don't know that I am currently living with the heartbreak of Renfield's syndrome. Every evening, I eat hematogens to ease this ailment. I like to think it works. Luckily, the voices in my head hadn't gotten much louder in the last few years. As you can see here, I enjoy building small shrines to certain special mortals who are important in my life. This one here is dedicated to Abraham Van Helsing, Great mortal man. Didn't take no shit from vampires, werewolves, nor devils. And this one here is for Leopold von Murnau. Loved him.

Do you guys design your characters around a certain clan/tribe/tradition, or do you build a character first and then try to fit them into the splat?I‘m currently working on a character for a [spoilers]hypothetical T–T[/spoilers] V:DA game and while I have a clear picture for the mortal side of his history, traits, and backgrounds, I cannot decide on a clan for him.
>>98854289>Do you guys design your characters around a certain clan/tribe/tradition, or do you build a character first and then try to fit them into the splat? For me, it varies. Back when my table was doing CofD, I came up with an idea for a Princess and then decided afterwards to put her in the Court of Storms. More recently when we started WtA Changing Breeds, I decided on a Kitsune and then developed the character from there.
>>98854289Well I guess just decide, what kinda vamp would WANT to embrace the character you've made? Which Clan would see them and be interested?
>>98854289I mostly go of character concept because that's what I was thought.
>>98854289I build stereotypes for woofs because they are cuter that way but go by character concept first for other splats
A weird guy in red tinted glasses told me I had a pretty aura last night...
>>98854289Depends on the game to be honest. With vampires, I like to start with Clan just because almost every clan has a "clan culture", however loose, that informs the kind of people they embrace. Even an exception needs to consider the rule to be an exception. This doesn't mean your character is their clan first and an individual second, but it does make the process easier, because you can't possibly find yourself making an interesting character that nobody would really embrace. Anyway for the work you've already done, >>98854334 has good advice. Who would want to embrace this guy, and if there are multiple, which do you think would be the most interesting to embrace him?
>>98849361>Thread QuestionExpert Knowledge: Archaeology 4 (Egyptology), Setite Lore 3Language: English, Language: Ancient Egyptian, Language: Arabic Egyptian/Masri, Language: Ancient Greek, Language: Latin (5 out of 7 total points spent in merits)Chronicle Setting: Jacksonville/St. Augustine, Florida; Modern NightsCharacter flavor was the only concern. :p
>>98854334That’s the thing, there’s several clans who could be interested. The character is a compassionate though withdrawn myrepsos, a perfumer of the byzantine church (the apothecaries/physicians responsible for making the chrism, the fragrant oil used in orthodox sacraments), learned in alchemy, medicine, theology and a bit of occultism. Has some connections within the church and a lucrative sidehustle in selling ointments and fragrances to the nobility. So the obvious clans would be toreador, cappadocians, tremere, and salubri, though tzimisce and lasombra might also be possible. In some unlikely circumstances I could also see him embraced by brujah/trujah, ass*mites, nossies, or, may god forgive me for ushering those words, a city gangrel.
>>98854531Sounds like someone that the Byzantine Tzimisce would embrace. Or Salubri.
>>98854531Go for Toreador if you want to have a good time, Cappadocian if you want to have a bad time, Salubri if you want to have a really bad time, and Tremere if you want to be really, really conflicted (and also depending on when the game is set, hunted by Tziggers). The Greek Tziggers are another option, they have better PR than the Carpathian brood, but they're still pretty twisted and inhuman, just in far more esoteric ways. Usually. They did produce fucking Vykos. I imagine your alchemist might be quite shaken up if they got their hands on him.
>>98854593>They did produce fucking VykosMan, I fucking hate this "Build 100 monuments, yet nobody calls you 'the builder'. Fuck a goat once, and everybody calls you 'the goatfucker' for the rest of your life" attitude....

Or play a character that fights against it tooth and nail, but with the knowledge that they're a rare exception, one that will likely struggle against their own clan for the sum of their unlife. The Byzantine Tzimisce weren't nearly as "heh I glued a whole peasant family together lmao" as their Carpathian brethren, but they were absolutely twisted. The Dracon may have been the one humanityfag of the Tzimisce Methuselah, but I wouldn't call him moral, and his lineage certainly developed their own twisted bent. They're still Tziggers, just more subtle and esoteric than their brother brood.
>>98854611it's not just one they also force revenant children unto paths of enlightenments (choir of caine) and this was written in a edition where you needed to be humanity 1 to switch to a path and they do it just because it sounds nicer when the choir that sings about redemption for caine is made out of children and those are also their main embrace materialguys are fucked up. just less fucked up because they are far enough away from kupala

>>98854675I understand it, but 99 percent of everyone who wants to play Mage or run Mage does not understand it. I guarantee if we played Mage, you're retarded ass would make a bunch of mistakes. That's why I was wondering if anyone has done a rethink of Mage's sphere system while rooted in Ascension.
>>98854679I like both clans. Idk why you take anything acknowledging the cool and monstrous nature of the Tzimisce as some sort of fictional Tremere psy-op.
>>98854611It's not like their reputation is not deserved. They're based on one of the most horrid depiction of vampires in media, after all.
>>98854679Byzantine Tzimisce and Tremere actually got along they let Abertorius (who would later become a member of the concil of seven) set up a chantry in constantinople and even let the tremere hunt salubri in their territory because dracon's brood wanted to show that they weren't under the thump of the voivodate and that their enemies and grievences weren't shared and really what did the salubri ever do for them?they also made themselves a buffer state between the knights of the black cross and the voivodate at one point which really pissed off the voivodate even more because it meant that the ventrue (who in their eyes represented all western kindred) accepted them as being apart from the voivodes. it's never outright stated but that might be the reason why they are somewhat isolated in the modern sabbat although the buffer state WAS lead by Vykos for a time but he kinda left the faction after the eldest raped him and joined the carpathians that would become the tzimisce anarchs so it may or may not be unrelated

>>98854783What >>98854803 said. Dracon got MPREG'd with his sire's fetal regeneration form, birthed it, got scared and ran off. Later Dracon wanted to game end himself and the Eldest was so offended by Dracon being a bitch that he reduced him to a zygote and then raped Vykos to cause another MPREG, this time with Dracon, so Dracon would be deprived of his wish to final death forever. Though I got to be honest, I'm not sure if I trust Dracon's reliability about the Eldest somehow not being that bad before the post-Samiel regeneration. Depending on what version of the story you hear, Samiel either found the Szlachta so horrifying that he assumed The Eldest was a demon, or conflated The Eldest and Kupala in the heat of the moment. Considering some of the other heinous shit The Eldest got up to in the past, I wonder if Dracon either had crazy rose-tinted glasses, or the experience of being used as a juicebag accelerant for his sire's regen mentally shattered him.
>>98854837Then you'll never play it again.
>>98854846Cute Gangrel
>>98854847my personal head canon is that it's less rose-tinted glasses and more that while the eldest became worse during the rebirth he also made sure to never show the bad sides he already had before that to the draconlike dracon admits that he is THE favorite and always been and that he got given the choice to become a vampire by his sire who made sure he had a good life before that and dracon at least thinks that the choice was not between unlife and death as is usual with the lasombra but actually unlife or normal life and he doesn't even know why he is favored that much which i also have the headcanon that dracon is the eldest actual son or otherwise descendent and isn't aware of it>i do not know all the reasons why he first chose me, and I do not think that I want to know them. Some things, even between oneself and one’s sire, are better left unexplored. I know that he made the decision for the first time when I was little more than a child, and that he held to it as I grew to manhood. Unlike many of his childer, he ofered me a true choice when the time came—not the dead-water or death, as so many of our kin do in these degenerate nights, but the gift of his blood or the right to live and die as a mortal, a life in which he would not interfere

>>98854892It's not a bad theory, though I wonder if the Dracon is even correct that he was the favorite, or if that's his own bias. Consider the embrace of Demdemeh. He got turned inside out by The Eldest on a lark, but Demdemeh was unphased by it entirely, saying that any wise man can see inside himself. The Eldest was so impressed by Demdemeh's composure that he embraced him. By contrast, the Dracon seemed to be the furthest from his sire. I wonder if he was an experiment by the Eldest, and misinterpreted his sire's non-interference as mercy and kindness.

>>98854988it was considered somewhat common knowledge that the dracon was the favorite, but i imagine the dracon was mostly the only source for this as even during the dark ages the tzimisce considered their eldest to be too far gone to safely interact with him. he was also the oldest tzimisce known to the european tzimisce although dracon himself knew that he wasn't the oldest childe of his sire and even knew a older one at some point who has been forgotten by the 13th century which means they probably don't know about Demdemeh and Kartariryaso yeah not much to go off about despite the two interacting on page and the entire chapter of dracon monologe makes me wonder what the eldest would have thought about the trinity given that he disliked it when his clan became too obsessed with the esoteric to the point where he killed byelobog for it, but then again we are told byelobog didn't actually care to covern his domain at all while the dracon at least kinda did
>>98854593Wasn't Vykos practically a group project with the Eldest, Dracon and Michael all taking turns molesting their body and mind for centuries?
>>98854943Straight out of character creation mages can get away with having a couple of Spheres at two dots. At least one Sphere at three dots is only a requirement if you want to be able to sling around offensive spells without having use your imagination. But unless you're intentionally playing a fresh-faced novice, going Arete 1 with one dot in six different Spheres is a bad idea.

I guessed that some time between the 17th and the 24th, the second V6 playtest would come out. >>98854904a few years ago i was in a game where the st was kinda inspired when it came to tzimisce nonsensewe had a elder who looked like a mix of a nervous system and a spider web a zulo form that looked like a big flesh spider thing with 16 limbs and two heads and another one who was constantly blood form and was living inside of a vozhod of his own making that looked like a big wingless moth the two had a feud over the fact that they and their childers worked on the creation of the blood brothers and now couldn't get the ritual to work but both didn't wanted to admit that it was because the tremere antitribu are dead (in that chronicle that ritual needed a koldun and a thaumaturgist to cast) so they blamed the other for sabotaging them somehow

>>98855149Good luck diablerizing Shark, but yes it’s doable
>>98855109Personally, I despise it. It's not a pure metaplot story, it's more like Beckett wandering from place to place and finding himself in increasingly contrived situations to justify the next stupid "plot hook" the writers conceived of. Beckett himself seems mildly out of character, and the depictions of various canon characters vary wildly in quality. Its biggest sin is that you have to sit through pretty indulgent mid at best writing, and in exchange basically none of its "plot hooks" or pseudo-metaplot are any good. Shit like the Camarilla executively replacing the Prince of Berlin with a random former Sabbat Malkavian (which is blatantly just there to get the reasonable Waldburg out of the way so there can be an Anarch boogaloo), or Marcus Vitel coming back from the dead (or maybe it's his sire pretending to be him for some reason), which realistically should get the hammer brought down on him hard since last time he tried to start global nuclear war. There's also a ton of proto-V5 stuff in there, like the absurdly tone-deaf choice of making the SoL's founder get canonized and the organization gaining a lot more mainstream support from the church. General Anarch glazing abounds, and the Camarilla feels extra retarded in it. I genuinely think it's the worst non V5 VTM book I've ever read, and I say this as someone who liked the other V20 new books. Shit, I'd rate the Chaos Factor higher than BJD.

Though from what I heard of Ars Magica that may be a better historical wizard game?nta. completely different setting and time periodars magica is set slightly before the dark age games but it's not really wod anymore while sorcerer crusade is set in the 15th century and it makes very good use of the settingthe order of reason is full of clock work punk kino while most of the traditions are just backward enough to really feel outdated compared to the commoners at the timears magica i love but it's a very different game it's very crunchy in that everything has pages upon pages of rules. It's very estate and politics in addition to magic and it's not a game where everyone can even in theory learn everything because beside the hermetic magic most stuff is limited to sub-splats, cults, factions etc which are all shattered across books so while i love the game it's rather high effort in comparision to just jumping to another wod game or mage editionthere is also dark age mage which is wod and has a magic system i know some people prefer to either but it's trying to fill a hole left by ars magica with two books that are more like one and a half books so it never really spoke to me

Ventrue have Dominate as well for stealth and certain dialogue checks, so it's very well-rounded albeit exp-heavy. >Gunslinger ToreadorDefinitely centered around making the endgame combat gauntlets suck less, Celerity + Auspex + Guns can genuinely make the game's combat not suck, although now it's essentially a bullet time power fantasy. Can result in some funny physics, one time I hit a piece of debris at a weird angle with Celerity 5 active and sent myself flying into a wall at mach 2, killing myself instantly. >Druid GangrelHow to play Gangrel when you hate how Protean Claws feel. However, the charm cast on it was only for one specific person - the man who killed my mentor. He received five extra dice of damage if I attacked him with it, and everyone else received five less. This effectively negated the damage of the weapon on anyone but the person to whom I had vowed revenge. However, I did not know the man that had killed my mentor - this weapon had been turned into a charm in a fit of post-murder grief and rage. The man who killed my mentor could be *anyone*.So naturally, having a weapon that could only hurt the one person I truly wanted hurt, I went around shooting as many people as I could get away with it, "just to be sure". Made for a great interrogation tool.

The differences between VtDA and VtM seem tiny. >>98857649>so that was a shit ideaIt can be shit. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. The most important element of that is knowing when to go balls to the wall cruel and when to step back and take a more reasonable approach. 'Example making' still happens all the time even in 'civilized' modern societies, the shape just changed. And so did the frequency, of course - but terror is an innate aspect of empire. You can't both be an expansionist power against peoples outside of your culture group and also be relatively benign. You must be forceful.
>>98857668When Sargon the Second died in battle and was believed to be left unburied, his heir Sennacherib was so terrified of being haunted by his father's angry ghost that he abandoned the capitol city of Ashur and ordered the construction of an entirely new capitol city on the settlement of Nineveh, which had to be superior in every way. Bigger walls, bigger roads, bigger, bigger, bigger, with no record within it that his father ever existed within its walls, in order to deny the ghost of Sargon II any power over him.Less than a hundred years later, Nineveh fell precisely because everything about it was so big that it was indefensible, because the Assyrians never conceived that they could actually ever be fighting a defensive war. Gates and roads built for victory processions and festivals were so wide that they couldn't actually be sealed to deny invaders access to the city. We're talking about some pretty big retardation.

Okay so how exactly do Talismans work and how do you "build" them? I know they have a different cost if you take the Talisman as a background rather than as a merit, and that you can give certain Spheres, Arete, and Quint too to the Talisman, but what exactly gives the power ceiling? Hedgefag is a power bottom right
>>98858742Pretty much. Old Clan Tzimisce is a meaningless term because it can mean a bunch of different things. >>98858760Post V5 definitely the Brujah. Pre V5? Assamites no contest. I think the Tremere wank is a little overblown and more fueled by hatred for Achilli than anything else. The Assamites on the other hand get an entire geopolitical region as their own playground, a region that should be pretty important to vampirism, but isn't because it being Assamitetown makes it exceedingly boring. Oh, and they also are actually three clans in an overcoat because their concept is so narrow we invented two more and bolted them on haphazardly. An entire region gummed up by sanctimonious murderous dickheads, constantly jerked off by writers.
>>98858898Can the Assamites be the most wanked clan when no one gave a shit about them, and they were a one-trick joke for most early editions? A wanked clan suggests the one that gets the most easy wins and is portrayed as most "right". The Assamites went from NPC baddies to an unclear mess. If anything it was V5 that tried to push them as a more mainstream playable clan and part of the Cammies.
>>98858742>And these are all different groups that may or may not overlap. Any other Old Clan Tzimisce I should know about?acording to transilvania by night every tzimisce who is not partaking in the current clan culture and politics is a "old clan tzimisce" in the eyes of the tzimisce and some flat out just call elders that predate the sect that even when they are in the sabbat further mudding the water is that several tzimisce in the dark age appropriated the term koldun to sound exotic to non carpathian cainites who would hire them as advisors because of that con so this>Old Clan Tzimisce - Koldunsgroup can also include normal tzimisce without sorcery
>>98858912nta but assamites fluff is full about them bragging about having wiped out cities of cainites before and pretty much always winningv20 even tries to frame the tremere curse as something they let happen just because the assamites can't be seen losing as that would be racist i guess
>>98858912I'm going off of authorial wank, because everyone had their own pet clan they like to wank and we don't have any hard data for tables. Only a vague online consensus that can be very distorted by loud and silent parts of the fanbase.
>>98858924>>98858925Fair enough, I guess I always just saw the Assamites as inconsequential between being scary vampire-killing-vampires.What's the least wanked clan authorially then? The Ravnos cuz they nuked them? Or the Setites because they come off as sort of losers outside of the specific context of Egypt?
>>98858742sometimes the tremere just call the tzimisce "the old clan" when they are trying to be polite about it so old clan tzimisce when you are in a camarilla city can refer to the entire clan
>>98858934setites can't be the weakest because in egpyt they beat the shit out of all other clans combinedravnos also stalemated both other cainites and the kuei jin in indiagangrel perhaps? the mongolians consider themselves to be a bloodline despite having the same discipline (the books are inconsitent on if they have a different weakness), they lost to the ventrue in scandinavia and rome and in modern nights their justicar got so scared by a guy empowered by a 4th gen that he had his entire clan leave the camarilla because he was sure that must have been a 3rd gen
Why do the Hermetics struggle working together? It seems the Tremere were the only ones among them who could work together … and they became vampires.
>>98858965because the tremere been the order and logistic house of the order (for real the house and clan symbol is meant to evoke the streets of rome) and they just never replaced themeven in ars magica the order was pants on heads retarded unless the tremere been involved like they nearly lost the war against the house díedne before the tremere showed up and asked them why House Flambeau and Tytalus didn't have rank in their army or supply linesthey always been the least magical house after house mercere who they worked with a lot but the house most interested in having the order be anything but a lose alliance of scholars
>>98858934Strong case to be made for pre-V5 Brujah. Despite the authorial bias at points, they have staggeringly few wins. What victories they do have are fleeting, and they're commonly used as catspaws by Infernalists. I mean, they were one of the clans that started the original anarch revolt, but then over half the clan pussied out and unironically joined with the Ventrue. So the Lasombra and Tzimisce got to eat the lunch that the Brujah helped prepare, with the remaining Brujah Antitribu largely relegated to shock troops. >>98858934>>98858954Setites are really weird, because they've got a mixed record against other vampires in Egypt (at various times they've been colonized by Lasombra, Ventrue, Assamites, or an assortment of clans, though none ever fully dislodged them from Egypt). But in cross-splat, they're utterly unstoppable, beating the brakes off of shapeshifter-mummy alliances on the reg.
>>98858965Their whole magical system is designed around magical diversity under one magical system and supremacy through the spheres. But also there's only ONE way to do magic and if you're part of Our House then you're doing magic THIS way as tradition commandsDisagreements are settled with Certamen, instead of actually talking about issues.
>>98859168>Setites are really weird, because they've got a mixed record against other vampires in Egypt (at various times they've been colonized by Lasombra, Ventrue, Assamites, or an assortment of clans, though none ever fully dislodged them from Egypt). But in cross-splat, they're utterly unstoppable, beating the brakes off of shapeshifter-mummy alliances on the reg.that's somewhat explained as the setites only having one set of leaders under Set and no real replacements for when those guys go into topor a problem and before someone asks the tremere did not have to face that yet simply because they weren't old enough yet as you need to be 1024 to get on the big boy setite table and the clan tremere as a whole is only getting there in 20 years setites should have set up a circle like they do in underworld/ the invictus in vtr
>>98858965High levels of individualism and a focus on personal excellence, even contributions to the system are framed as a contest of merit, such as who has the most Awakened apprentices or the most talented Awakened apprentices. The foundation of the Order of Hermes is the pursuit of excellence rather than any collective goal, with the founding of the organisation being little more than an reluctant agreement between powerful wizards to share knowledge with each other for mutual benefit.Tremere take this structure and improve on it with the Pyramid and the elaborate chain of blood bonds to ensure loyalty to the system and one's superiors. Without it, they'd also be a gaggle of dickass blood mages out for themselves.
>>98859168I think this is an important distinction is just as much, if not more, about how something is written about as much as what is accomplished. "Weaker" factions can be heavily wanked if their weakness is portrayed as them punching up and making a valiant stand. With that in mind I'd agree pre-V5 (not that I know much about V5) Brujah are pretty un-wanked, in that they are often treated as a joke or ineffective at baseline, often relegated to the role of mooks or pawns. It's constantly hammered in that they are mostly "rabble"
>>98855921>>98859278On these two notes, any recommendation on playing a Brujah in Bloodlines? I think that was my one playthrough that stalled, in that it was fun and potent in early game to be smashing face, but it really seemed to fall off. How do you measure up Melee vs Brawl in that game? And out of all their combat disciplines which is actually the most important?
>>98859295brawl does bashing damage and because of that is garbage unless you are a gangrel and like the claws for some reasonmelee is worse than firearms later but you can get a true black hand katana that does agg damage which kills pretty much everything in the hands of a brujah
>>98859295Celerity matters more than Potence, because it gives you similar DPS increase (more hits = more damage) while also providing defense. Potence can have annoying anti-synergy with melee when it sends your target flying. This is mitigated in the endgame when you have so much celerity you can beat your target to their landing spot, or combo someone else while they're still flying.Brujah is a very "vanilla" playthrough. I'd recommend Melee just for the late game huge DPS spike via the Tal'mahe'ra blade, but Brawl is fine and much cheaper exp wise due to the many free bonuses you can get to it. Both builds might struggle with Ming-Xiao but otherwise shouldn't have too much trouble in the lategame combat gauntlets. You also don't need to spend too much exp on combat until hollywood since you can kinda brute force the combat until that point.
>>98856982My players (I Storytell the game) basically party-wiped themselves. They were two changelings who were fresh characters, having gained a total of 3 XP across the sessions, and they fought a Soulless changeling balanced to be at roughly the same power level as a player character. Now, the fight wasn't the problem. Oh no, the problem was the aftermath.See, the motley's Elemental had suffered 6 lethal damage from a lucky hit by the Soulless's spear and was incapacitated, but they managed to deal enough Willpower damage to incapacitate the Soulless as well, allowing for an easy kill. Then the Ogre healed the Elemental and ripped the spear, still lodged in the Elemental's chest, out again, dealing another 5 lethal damage and instantly killing the Elemental. This, of course, caused an immediate breaking point, which dealt 4 Severe Clarity damage, dropping the Ogre to 0 Clarity and sending him into a coma now alone and stuck in a dream. And all of this happened in the Hedge.I could only observe the thing from the sides in sheer bewilderment as it all happened
>>98859295Brawl is only ever useful for reducing the feed resist of enemies. Gangrel's claws are bad because they have absurdly bad animation, first hit isn't fast and second and third hit hitboxes are garbage so you'll missSwords are great in VtM:B because of the first hit animation. With Brujah, with Potence and Celerity activated and constantly spamming the first hit of a sword attack you'll melt through enemies

>>98859607Something something not having the entire clan exterminated after daring to shoot Harlestadt.
>>98858898>Assamites on the other hand get an entire geopolitical region as their own playground, a region that should be pretty important to vampirismSee this is something I feel they could use. Cairo by Night didn't go too in depth as far as I could tell since it's the border of Snaketown bordering Assamite town rather than the full on arab/holy land regions, and I haven't read DA Jerusalem by Night, but I feel like the answer to "why are the mysteries of noddism and the biblical regions not further explored by these immortal beings?" could easily be "because there are a bunch of crazy cannibal towelheads who like LARPing as the old man of the mountain". Assamites could easily find more identity as the self-appointed guardians of the old ruins while the Nagaraja keep the actual ghost city. Before they got nuked anyways.
>>98859607Oh it is me the TRV BRVJAH of Olde, Let me explain how moving fast enough causes you to time travel. No we aren't going to go save Carthrage. I SAID WE ARE NOT GOING TO SAVE OLDE CARTHRAGE. pls believe me
>>98858007They just couldn't have mages not be miserable like all the other splats.
>>98859636It's still boring as hell to have a single clan dominate the word count and politics of an entire region, no matter how many times you rewrite them. This is the reason the Assamites still suck after three rewrites. Their original concept was fine, but Bloodline tier. It does not have the legs required to carry a narrative, and even other clans heavily associated with a region manage to have it carved up with other clans to create an actually interesting patchwork. Take the Tzimisce of Carpathia. There's also a ton of Ventrue, Tremere, Gangrel, and Nosferatu even in their heartland. And they're not all vassals, in fact two of those are outright enemies. That's interesting. The Assamites are a black hole whose existence swallows every potential interesting plot hook that could be set in the region. Cut them down to a small hostile faction that doesn't hold every domain like the Setites and things improve by 300%. Cut them down to a hostile glorified bloodline and it improves 500%.
>>98859607V5 tends to promote Anarchs as the protagonist faction of the edition, with Brujah as the face of the sect like Ventrue are the face of the Camarilla. V5 tries very hard to push the Anarchs as a valid alternative to the Camarilla, which means pushing the Brujah as well, even though they're mechanically one of the worst clans of V5. The biggest example of this is the most famous Camarilla loyalist Brujah, Theo Bell, suddenly turning Anarch out of nowhere and murdering the two most important Ventrue NPCs in the world during negotiations between the Camarilla and Anarchs. While V5 Anarchs have almost as many clans as V5 Camarilla (if you count caitiff and thinbloods as clans) people still tend to see Brujah as the Anarch clan, so all of the V5 Anarch circle-jerking is also attributed to the Brujah.
>>98859702How the hell are Brujah allowed to be in the camarilla after that stunt? That shit would basically kill any and all diplomacy between the two groups
>>98859721>How the hell are Brujah allowed to be in the camarilla after that stunt? They're not.V5 Camarilla is:>Malkavian>Nosferatu>Toreador>Tremere>Ventrue>Banu Haqim>LasombraV5 Anarchs are:>Brujah>Gangrel>Ministry>Tzimisce>Caitiff>Thin-bloods
>>98859730Ah my mistake
>>98859687Oh and while I'm ranting about the Assamites, might as well throw this in. Tziggers have broods beyond even the European ones. India and Sub-Saharan Africa at the least, to say nothing of New World Tziggers. There's plenty of Setites all over the place, even a weird breakaway bloodline in the Caribbean. But when's the last time you heard of an Assamite from a non-middle eastern and/or non-muslim country, whose sire wasn't from the middle east or a muslim? Maybe a few Assamite Antitribu, but even they tend to be very Tariq Jamal Al-Zuttibad. It's just boring at worst, annoying at best. Diablerie crazy vampire cult that hates other vampires is a fine concept for a minor clan of largely antagonistic vampires. Making them into a big deal Clan with hegemony over an entire region creates a tremendous roadblock to fun.
>>98859730Thats not even true. The way v5 is set up, pretty much everyone is in every sect with exception of the lasombra / assamites going to the camarilla and tzimisce / setites going to the anarchs. The majority of brujah are with the anarchs but that doesnt mean there are no brujah in the camarilla.
>>98859775In which case, there's no such thing as Camarilla clans in any edition because every "Camarilla clan" has Sabbat antitribu.
CofDbros:I know mixing major and minor splats is bad, wrong, and immoral - but have you ever done so?Did you turn the minor splats into merits like WoD does?
>>98859244So the Setites are straight fucked if someone bumps off one or two of the Hierophants?
>>98859274>Tremere take this structure and improve on it with the Pyramid and the elaborate chain of blood bonds to ensure loyalty to the system and one's superiors. Without it, they'd also be a gaggle of dickass blood mages out for themselves. The Pyramid is just counterbalancing the innate vampire drive to go mememememe
>>98859640>we are not going to save CarthageIsn't that just "we've repeatedly tried saving our Ante and lost several 4th gens each time"?
>>98859813depends on the Hierophants as nobody seemed to care when Nefertiti went undercover in germany for centuries while Nakhthorheb managed to dismantel the entire ossarian league after horus' first death and kept the anarch revolt out of egypt but in general yeah. might have to be more than one or two but if too many of them are gone or asleep then the founding temples become rival factions instead of pillars that hold up the whole clan (in egypt)
>>98859730anarchs don't actually always allow thinblood and there is a thinblood only movement that clashes mostly with anarchs because they don't know how to find camarilla vampires
>>98859687>>98859737>even other clans heavily associated with a region manage to have it carved up with other clans to create an actually interesting patchwork. No I'm with you, clan region lock is stupid, that's why people and me dislike the Kuei-Jin. Egypt is Setite City but it's still chock full of interclan and intersplat conflict. And wasn't Malkav buried under Jerusalem as the reason the region is so full of kine conflict? I don't think it's any stretch of the imagination to make the place full of conflicting ideologies and bloodlines, I just Assamites should have a bigger grasp than anyone over the secrets there, for which they will (mostly) strike any intruders and unworthy*, making it dangerous and difficult to establish a meaningful foothold. The fundamental problem with them isn't their dominion over important to noddism regions IMO. It's their inconsistency where they have like 5 different weaknesses, 3 castes, 3 quietus, blood sorcery, factions within factions, and conspiracies within conspiracies. There's a good foundation there and I like The Schism but in an attempt at writing nuance to fight off imaginary racism they just made them needlessly convoluted. What should've been an easy Assassin's Creed vampires with zeal-themed horror just locked them into their perceived arab/muslim/exotic orient identity.I think Ravnos are worse.
>>98860076I think there's a really cool germ of an idea in the Ravnos with their old weakness where they were kind of an anti-Gangrel (suitable given their rivalry). Where the Beast of the Gangrel is the most animalistic of the Vampires, the Beast of the Ravnos is the most human, in that it leads them into very human temptations. And having some sort of illusion powers does then gel nicely with the theme of human fantasies and desires. The weird thing is that they tried to fix the issues with the Ravnos by doing a bunch of extra stuff with the Indian part of the clan... which they were gonna nuke anyways? And then the V5 change of the weakness basically makes them set as NPCs because it makes it more a pain in the ass to incorporate them into a particular setting. (If they didn't want that weakness, its weird they didn't go for the actual mullo deal of having 1 particular weird physical oddity but whatever)
>>98856085>>98856583>>98856807I picked the wrong time to get back into minecraft. I am flattered but I am not really into woofs like that.Thinking about it, what splat has the most bratty switches?
>>98859806I'm not sure if I follow you, anon, non have I done this, but CofD does have supernatural creatures as Lesser Templates, and they do work like Merits since 1e. Here's Second Sight.
>>98860491I meant having both major and minor templates/splats at the same time. Say, a demonblooded mage.I was wondering if anyone ever did that and then just assigned a cost to the minor splat as if it was a merit- similar to a mage buying the fae blood merit in WoD.Per your picture, you can't have both minor and major splats at the time because that's bad fun.
>>98860538And then it goes on and shows you could have psychic vampires and werewolf shamans.
>>98860559The "psychic vampires" are just kindred with disciplines that are similar to psychic powers. The mage in the example is just using the powers that are part of the template (legacy) to have abilities similar to what he once had.Meanwhile, in WoD, a kinain mage would be able to use Cantrips. Those are very different things.
>>98860491It literally says: if you gain a lesser template, you lose that lesser template's powers - this is a rule of the game not the setting. Anon is worried, why did the writers feel the need to add this rule to the game, even if in-setting it isn't even true, that is to say a vampire hedge mage would remain both in fiction?Well, that is easy! The writers of CofD, despite all their improved understanding of such, are still faggot retards and think this might unbalance the game, with little understanding that usually it simply makes the character weaker due to exp expenditure and in the few situations where it IS strong, can be adjudicated by the ST instead. For reasons unfathomable CofD and WoD is deathly afraid of cross-splat multiclass shenanigans, as if it's some great evil that will lead to broken Player Characters, blissfully unaware of their hilariously broken and unbalanced game in it's base state.

I’m trying to decide whether or not to have Quiescence in my Hunter game… on one hand, it seems kinda obnoxious. But on the other hand, I seriously don’t want them to start asking if anyone else has seen what mages are capable of…
>>98860876Well, what is obnoxious about it? Why don't you want them to ask others about mages? There is so much about this that it's kind of hard to make any suggestions without knowing what the goal and reasoning is.

>>98860911>What is obnoxious about it?From what I understand, Quiescence is basically like Lunacy from Werewolves but on steroids, you can't do anything to circumvent it unless you're a Sleepwalker, AKA have a supernatural merit of some sort or a merit that deems you a Sleepwalker. You'll always rationalize or forget any Supernal or Abyssal occurrence if you're not immune to Quiescence. It seems, at least to me, like an insurmountable investigative obstacle in a pretty heavily investigation-based game like Hunter. >Why don't you want them to ask others about mages?More like I don't want them wondering why there aren't more reports of supernatural occurrences like this or going on a big Mage hunt or something. I find Mage society in Awakening to be quite... dry. Hell, the only Mage I've got as an antagonist is an Apostate because I didn't like any of the Orders. I think my biggest concern is with Quiescence causing frustration. I feel like I'd get sick of going "oh, ah, I just don't remember, ooh it hurts my brain to think about it" by like the third or so occurrence.
>>98849361some of my wizard friends told me this game is based and 100% real.how correct is that , specially for the modern stuff.
>>98861030My recommendations for this:>ObnoxiousnessTune it down. Explain it along these terms: Hunters are almost-sleepwalkers, high willpower partially negates the effects, dots in occult shit helps you, being faced with evidence again and again inures you. Hunter mages are not always capital M mages - hedgemages do not cause the sleeping curse afaik. Essentially, if you are worried about them being unable to investigate then let them all roll and or pay willpower to overcome it. Tell them something along the lines of "there's some sort of magic curse that wizards tend to cast to obscure their ways..", let it be a mystery that is investigated itself. Rather than investigating mages, make the first step the investigation of countermeasures.>Why aren't there reportsMages are rare, and true Awakened even more so. They are also very, very good at covering up and generally do so out of Paranoia (sympathetic connections, Seers vs Pentacles, Hunters..) and ideology. They are also not usually something Hunters care about, not even the seers. Perhaps the Scelesti and other mad wizards at best. >Mage Society (Awakening Pentacle Orders) are dryThey kind of are, aren't they? Try some of the Left-Handed ones for a hunter game, e.g. Tremere Liches or somesuch. I am personally an advocate for ripping out the Diamond and replacing it with culturally appropriate traditions as was the case in the earlier eras of the CofD timeline. Snooty Hermetics are simply a cooler version of muh silver ladder, and far more evocative, imo.

>>98861249the old 2e 10 dot is active but removes all your links at once while 9's "Create Name" gives you a new alternative identity but even that wouldn't overwrite all your sympathetic links as clan membership and bloodlines count as sympathetic links just like sect membership as the ash of the tremere antitribu can attest to
>>98861128>being faced with evidence again and again inures youI kinda like that idea. Maybe instead of it being a roll to resist the Quiescence, it could be a roll to become a Sleepwalker. That could lead to some members being Sleepwalkers and some still being Sleepers, which leads to interesting dynamics. I definitely think in the future I'm going to keep my distance from true Awakened and keep to more Hunter-adapted spellcasters. I got caught up in the hype of having a faction for each of the big three, but didn't really consider what that actually entailed... I'm not going to change what I have though, since the one Mage is foundational to my overarching plot at the moment.
>>98849361https://strawpoll.com/05Zdz2VQbn6Trying to get together a WtA made me wonder this.
Spooder chapter when?
>>98861443I know I promised it today but irl stuff got more in the way than I expectedThe chapter is sitting at roughly 2k words so it is going to be publishable tomorrow at the earliest
>>98861479NTA but been wondering where you were Ananasianon. Good news
>>98861383Oops all Theurges
>>98861553was to be expected
If I'm making a pack of Blood Brothers as a danger players might face, I feel like I should give them all below-average Willpower, even if I jack up their other stats.
>>98861553SEX with spirits.
>>98861630I personally like to anthropomorphize them a bit, it underlines the primacy of mortals in the world, but most STs don't do that. Your pack totem is going to look like some kind of creature, not a kemomimi
>>98861654> Your pack totem is going to look like some kind of creature, not a kemomimiyes that's intended but still> SEX with spirits.we are talking wta here
>>98861702>>98861654>>98861630tbf, garou children with spirits is literally canon
>>98861707Fuck you, I'm not paying child support. That spirit doesn't even look like me.
>>98861624That's a good call. Antagonists benefit from having a weak point the PCs can exploit once they pick up on it, and low willpower fits the codependent freakpires cooked up in a lab to be the latest and greatest in disposable Sabbat shock troop technology. You got a gimmick in mind or are you gonna go for default skinheads?
>>98861624>blood *sisters*
>day 9 of me sitting in the middle of the sea with nothing better to do in the evenings than reading wod books on the treadmillBy the end of my shift I will have both encyclopedic knowledge and a giant heart. Also gangrel in the deep most likely fill their lungs with water to avoid getting their chests imploded. Though fortitude probably helps with that. Do the mariners have amalgams of protean and auspex for sonar capabilities?
>>98861816>You got a gimmick in mindMultiple dots in Sanguinus seems like gimmick enough
>>98861851Mariners get sonar with just protean.
>>98861354You could do a thing where Proximi+"Hedgemages" are like sorcerers to the Ascension Mages, basically their lesser template equivalent. So you could have a story about hunting down some hedgemages which tell you about the Sleeping Curse and then they offer to give you a trinket/training/whatever to let you resist it in exchange for something something.I really enjoy the explanations on https://forum.rpg.net/index.php?threads/wod-the-manifold-masses-of-mages.410672/ if you are a lore type of person. So that's roughly what I would use to explain the metaphysics of mages and why there is the curse in the first place, and what to do against it.
>>98859346Death isn't the end. Just have the ogre leave his dream and walk the skein back to the underworld. From there they can team up and simply break out. Escaping the underworld is, afterall, a mainstay of myths and faerie tales and therefore the objective and natural right of all things fae. If Death wants to be mean and deny this, make him offer them a quest as compensation instead. Death likes changelings afterall and considers them his relatives. (Or they can make hot and steamy love to him and escape while he is paralyzed by the afterglow) :3
>>98861863But do you have a theme for them in mind? Also rate this idea: A pack of Blood Brothers all made up to look like santa claus who all go apeshit in different places to create a sense of havoc. Could be an interesting christmas themed session and a great distraction for a larger sabbat ploy.
>>98861985Funny. Clean it up, Masquerade janny.
>>98861869Huh. Makes sense
>>98861383>be theurge>be a conniving "spirit ambassador" crypto jew in charge of all the pack's rite and spiritual questions>be philodox>be conniving crypto jew in charge of all the pack's civil and litany questions>be ahroun>ignore all this and be a based retardThere's only one good choice here brothers
>>98862124Nobody is talking about pancakes
>>98860679Yesss :D
>>98862133I know but now I'm hungry for actual pancakes.
>>98861702>we are talking wta hereSpirit marriages and kids are a thing already, where you you think the Spirit Heritage background comes from?
>>98861624>>98861863I don't feel they should have high willpower either as they are designed as dim shock troops for the Sabbat with little individuality. What's more important is the theme you'll give them like >>98861816 says>Corporate Drones senselessly talking about touching base, circling back, reaching your KPIs, and other meaningless office jargon while attacking. >cheerleader squad, kpop band, Teletubbies, clown crew, wrestling tag team (BAH GAWD), sportsball team where each brother is playing a different sport to attack and senselessly mixing up their terms, a marching band pack called The Black Parade each brother attacking with a different instrument.>>98861837I love Las Hermanas Hambrientas. For additional tragedy I like making them embrace victims of feminicide while their attackers get devoured. Hot Button Issue in Mexico >>98862000>>98861985Exactly, funni. Or make it Santa and his elves. Have them ask the PCs if they've been naughty or nice
