Random tables are great. There's not enough of them. It's a great way to list out ideas and suggestions and can introduce new details to the game, all while providing utility for GMs and Player to abandon conscious decision-making and subject themselves to the whims of chaos.>Healing Potion Drawbacks (after drinking more than one in a day) [d6]>1- Age one month, with hair and nails growing accordingly>2- Wounds heal, but leave noticeable scars>3- Blood glows for 1 hour, with any remaining or new wounds shedding light as a candle would>4- Auditory hallucinations of an angelic choir in the far distance that persist for 1 hour>5- Mild sense of euphoria for 1 hour that also makes taking further damage feel pleasurable>6-No noticeable drawback, and heal 1 point extra
>Random Pond Events [d6]1- The Spirit of the Pond appears, demanding that everyone "Free her captive brothers" by emptying out their waterskins or she'll cast a Curse of Thirst upon everyone (making them require 10 times the amount of water for one week)2- A large golden carp leaps out of the water before diving back into the pond's depths.3- A savage and heavily scarred Giant Lion appears, but seems oddly placid and nonconfrontational as it quietly laps at the waters.4- The reflection on the pond's surface shows cruel caricatures of anyone that looks down upon it (ie. a person with larger than normal ears may have giant elephant ears), and touching the water transforms the person to appear that way for one day.5- The pond's water recedes whenever someone tries to drink/draw from it, disappearing entirely if someone stands at the pond's center, but returning as soon as they are out of reach.6- The water is naturally carbonated, and a small fey creature nearby is selling limes and lemons.
