>>98866769I heard they were already leaked but I just want for Monday or whenever they will release the info. Reading leaks here always leads to pro/anti leakers flamewars
>>98866785But this board is great for reveales, I give you that

>>98866796Warclans need more hobgrots
>>98866803You need to get beaten to death more often
>>98866836Do me first please. I've got nothing going for my life besides toy soldiers.
>>98866836I want to see how cheap we can make a unit of hobgrots go on the second-hand market
I'm working on a kitbashed mighty lord of khorne. What are you guys up to?
>>98866892It's great as a model but lacks something monstrous
>>98866769>Ti'ti-Caqa editionROFLThank you for confirming that I am still 12.
>>98866892
>TQ
>>98866892why would khorne have lightning motifs?
>>98867071some of these read like a list of whats being squatted next edition
>>98867071It's insane how the secondary market mogs GW and their bundle "deals". Thanks to Mortal Realms magazine I can still buy most of those Nighthaunt kits for ~15eur per 10 dudes. Just last week I got 20 Chainrasps for 10eur. The SCE one is simply awful as well.StD and Maggotkin ones look amazing, extremely flavourful and varied. Can't rate CoS because I don't play them. Ironjawz is basically a RoR but it should come with 9 or maybe even 12 pigs.
>>98867071I realy don't see Nagash being in a BF
>>98866061>Going by the trend it will be generic whfb evil dark elves 2.0 with the most surface level stereotypes and tropes you can find in the fantasy genreIs that the trend? Khazalites are pretty basic dwarfs, sure (though even then the geomancy thing is a new gimmick). But chorfs were pretty different from their fantasy counterparts all things considered.
Is it worth bringing reinforced units of Golems? They seem really good from what we've seen so far but 420 points for 6 is ROUGH
>>98867095most battleforces do funnily
>>98867116Play a few games and see? Retard
>>98867113if we go by the trend and the rumor, then unbraneth will be japanese with shadow demons just like lumineth are chinese with elemental spirits and also slaaneshi
>>98867071StD stay winning with the best battleforces
>>98867120OK! :D
>>98867095Huh? Out of all those units the only thing I can possibly see being squatted anytime soon would be maybe the spirit hosts, and that'd still be a ways off.
>>98867117GW wouldn't do that
>>98867102They add Primarchs to 40k Battleforce boxes, why would they hesitate about adding a minor character from a spin-off game?
>>98867150>all units are still up?
>>98867149yeah aside from nagash and the spirit hosts the set is soul wars era so practically brand new and released alongside sacrosanct stormcast which obviously aren't leaving
>>98867162GW should squat half of nighthaunts and put them in gravelords, give them the grimm treatment. They don't even have a scenery kit of their own anyway, their spells are ugly, and most of their units are just the same bedsheet with a different weapon.Flesh eater courts too since we're at it.
>>98867138the title of best battleforce in the games history was claimed by gits. this is undisputed fact
>>98867113>But chorfs were pretty different from their fantasy counterparts all things considered.I don't think they really are. Of course, they're still too small a range to say for certain, but they still share some key design language, and their ranges have a lot of overlap. Personally, I'm fine with more traditional dwarfs. However, my problem is what it's always been with AoS - the insular and often incoherent nature of the various elements in the setting. Take the KO as an example. In isolation, I don't really have an issue with them, but when you put them next to other order factions (CoS and the other dwarf factions, specifically), I start to take issue. The KO are effectively running around with power armour, modern firearms, and flying battleships (not to mention all the other quality of life tech they have), yet, despite KO being a fairly common fixture in fortress cities, CoS have made no effort to replicate or trade for any of the tech.I'm not saying CoS or Khazalite holds should have KO tech straight up, but if you look at whfb, you can see the logical through line between the human and dwarf alliance/trade relationship. For example, dwarf thunders and handgunners for the Empire are (roughly) comparable, even if they look different.
>>98867162Unlike sacrosanct gw hasn't released basically an entire range refresh for nigthaunt every 3 years either, genius.
>>98867186objectively wrong
>>98867196they already squatted shit from Nighthaunts range lmao
>>98867120>i have nothing to contribute and just want to throw poo in the threadfaggot>>98867116on the face of it, it looks like the ghazulems will want to be reinforced, while the valayems are probably better off run in MSU. the ghazulems main selling point are those hammers, but with only 3 attacks a model on 4+ to hit, an MSU squad would be very swingy and inconsistent. the army of renown for high king valenkrom also allows you to pick a single unit of golems to give a 5+ ward, so this is probably the best play if you want that big unit of hammer golems. the valayan golems give value for dying, assuminng your army also has some other valayan units, so you inherently dont want them to survive too long, so even if you plan to run 6 valayems, its probably better 2x3 instead of 1x6. having a small unit of valayems in your lines to counter charge and shield bash applying strikes last can also be clutch, working kind of like the new sloven knights nurgle got. whereas the ghazulems are close to kroxigor in function, just big fuckoff beatsticks with high damage and a lot of health. at 30 health for 420pts that puts them at roughly 14pts per health, which isnt bad for something with a 3+ save, and gets even better in that valenkrom formation. so the question is then do you want the big melee beatsticks or the more technical buffers/debuffers? if you dont plan to field at least 2 units of valayan infantry too you are losing value with the valayems. and if you are going to run ghazulems i would run them reinforced. MSU low attack low hit chance models are just asking for the bad end of slot machine roll profiles where you whiff all your attacks.
>>98867186you'll never get close to the peak of lizard deals
>>98867202It was one unit. If they were going to squat more they'd do it at the same time just like Warclans lost Bonesplitterz all at once or CoS lost Elves
>>98867200the aleguzzler ruined that box. it didnt even survive to the next battletome
>>98867206>models older than half the player base>those cold onesthe cope, i cant
>>98867210Allies were only deleted in 4th edition, which featured a mercenary battalion for one anyway
>>98867196Nighthaunt are safe, any army with a battletome is. It's only soup like city dorfs or savage orcs that were ever at risk
>>98867213>implying skinks didn't age better than half that playerbase as well>not knowing the cold ones were free with the carno
>>98867215aleguzzlers werent even good in their own army where they got the benefit of army rules. absolutely no one was taking one as an ally. also by the time they released that box they probably knew the ogre refresh was comingthat whole box was shovelware to clear stock
>>98867219>any army with a battletome is.except beastclaw, and pestilens, and bonesplitters, and beastmen, and fyreslayers, and...
>>98867221someone call an ambulance. this guys ODing on copium. grab the narcan
>>98867231beastmen was crazy, they just got new endless spells and terrain, a new beastlord, and they did a massive overhaul of their rules that was super popular and clearly showed someone cared about the army. that squatting really came out of left field.
>>98867234Your entire faction will get reinvented 2 times and then get squatted for not selling before this skink puts on a single wrinkle of old age.
>>98867231beastmen were squatted in a freak example ONCE you literally have no argument other than "it's only 99% confirmed it won't happen again! The 1%!"bestclaw got new models, fyreslayers got new models... you're just a doomer gw don't squat shit normally
>>98867251>It happened but it won't happen again, gw promised!>Gw actually loves my faction, they gave it a model once!>Also I guess it was my fault for not buying more...
>>98867219>It's only soup that were ever at riskwhat makes you think gw won't ever soup ghosts with soulblights eventually?
>>98867202Yeah anon, a weird underworlds/starter box exclusive unit. Do you see any of those in the battleforce?>>98867219Realistically the only army that's "at risk" are DoK, and even then it's because they'll probably get souped not squatted. I understand fyreslayers getting souped like that feels bad but people are way too doomer lately.
>>98867205This makes sense to me. I was thinking of bringing a reinforced unit to serve as the beaststick/anvil of the army. I like your idea of two units of MSU Val Golems though, that gives me more buffs to pass around. Might just get 4 boxes and make both. A 6-Golem block of Ghaz and two 3-Golem MSU units of Val. Sounds like a fun combo
>>98867258i look like this and say this
>>98867272>even then it's because they'll probably get souped not squatted.I would say losing the basic witches kit and the cauldron multikit would be akin to a squatting for them
>>98867272>underworldsIt was sold as a regular unit
>>98867276if you plan to run val golems, look into some reinforced halberd vlayan units. they have one of the spiciest damage profiles in the book. i mean...everything is utterly eclipsed by the flameseekers, who are shaping up to be the strongest unit in the game, but i dont know if i expect that to survive the first balance pass
can I get a 2k khazalite list to structure my purchases? got two army sets but don't know what else to buy for a competitive 2k list matched play only
>>98867265Why would they do that? They're a decently popular, middle of the pack kinda army. would be a sick army of renown though. Much rather have ghosts instead of v*mpiresBesides, people don't really understand why GW soups. They don't just do it out of nowhere, they do it because they only can/want to support so many tomes in the 3 year cycle.1st edition just had waaay too many factions because gw was trying out a new structure with the GA thing. Once they settled on normal tomes again many of those factions had to be reined in again, hence soup in 2nd.Since then the only army to be souped (in like 8 years) have been the fyreslayers, and ONLY once they had a new army they wanted to introduce and fit in the 3 year cycle. Since fyreslayers were such a small range anyway, the most straightforward solution was to soup them together with the new army.Which sucks for FS, but it doesn't mean any and all armies in the game are randomly in danger of being souped now. DoK are, because there's a long-awaited army waiting in the wings which already has a lot of ties and overlap with them already.>>98867279That's the question isn't it, but unlike vulkites those two kits aren't infamously disliked. Though on the other hand, there's tow that would probably like them back if they ever do dark elves.I'm 50/50 on whether or not they stay. But even if they don't I feel like DoK have much more meat to them with all their other units to probably be more of an equal partner with umbraneth than a subfaction like FS have become. More of a beastclaw raider situation than a khazalite one.
>>98866909https://www.youtube.com/shorts/vBmJT1RWxxo
>>98867287>i mean...everything is utterly eclipsed by the flameseekers, who are shaping up to be the strongest unit in the game, but i dont know if i expect that to survive the first balance passtypical gw just buff them to move the stock then debuff once shmuck and waacfags buy it all
>>98867272>people are way too doomer latelygee I wonder why
>>98867283Yes anon, but as you surely know they debuted in soul wars as ETB, sharing the sprue with some other stuff that got a multipart release. Glaivewraiths instead got an uw box instead to buy them separately. Don't get me wrong it sucks as they were probably their most distinctive infantry unit and sigmsr knows nighthaunt are lacking in that, but their squatting was due to a pretty specific situation that none of the other models in the battleforces are suffering from.
>>98867345You're mistaken. >Soul Wars >Starter sets - ETB kit I'm talking about >Separate boxAll were simultaneously released and available at the same time beyond the preorder windows. You're talking about a rebox that came out in 2021, 3 years after the rest. https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/DOOnVjMO/learn-warhammer-underworlds-the-easy-way-with-the-new-starter-set/So yeah, I surely know, but you don't.
>>98864972https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/ron-jawas-armored-boar-heads
>>98867387The problem is the gesture not the face. They're rank and flank static cav
so should i just move my old blightkings onto 32s and use them as rotswords now? these guys having 5+ saves when half of them are covered head to toe in plate armor and tower shields feels wrongwill these fit on 32s?
>>98867327Flameseekers are also the best looking infantry in the range though, and they're included in the spearhead, buying great looking models at a discount is hardly a scam.
>>98867251BoC and Bonesplitterz got new models as well. Where are they now, remind me?
>>98867369Yep. It was a weird release, but yeah, you could buy these alongside the rest of the range after Soul Wars came out. Weird little mini-boxes.Also, somehow the Banshees were the only survivor out of the four kits.
>>98867369Alright fine I concede the UW stuff I was led astray by the coloured plasticStill, you gotta agree that it was quite the unusual unit still since it was its own separate ETB sprue and stuff
>>98867391no, it's definitely the face
>>98867403given what happened to the units in the last fyreslayers spearhead from last year, being in a spearhead for fyreslayers doesnt exactly inspire confidence.they released this box WELL after they knew they were squatting 21/26 models in it.
>>98867329It's just retards trying to stir up shit. Fyreslayers got a new infantry unit and 3 new heroes, and then lost an infantry unit and four heroes, a net change of -1 foot hero from their initial release. As a Fyreslayer player I'm more annoyed by the lore changes than a few models being lost.Except the endless spells, those were fun as hell. Lowkey they probably did more to liven up Fyreslayer gameplay than any of the other new things they got.
>>98867397You're not the first to do this and apparently it works out just fine. I thought maybe some of the poses might give you a little trouble but at first glance from what others have done it really isn't a problem.
>>98867423For the last time, Vulkites were one of the most despised kits in all of AoS, and Flameseekers are their replacement. GW slowly phasing out and replacing kits from 2016 means nothing at this stage, they got the ball rolling with Stormcast but a lot of early AoS kits are up for replacement or removal soon.
>>98867440>Flameseekers> GW slowly phasing out remind me, what happened to like 80% of the warcry kits so far? hows the corvus cabal doing these days? or the untamed beasts?
>>98867403>and they're included in the spearhead
>>98867205Give value to this> Grabs crotch
>>98867397Why won't you keep using them as Blightkings?
>>98867445>remind me, what happened to like 80% of the warcry kits so far?Name one Warcry Band that was squatted that wasn't for STD, who had like 16 of them. >>98867446>Retards can't distinguish between old WHFB carryovers and models that were released three years ago.
>>98867314>Why would they do that?lack of support leading to diminishing popularity leading to further lack of supporta new undead army coming out which would push gw to remove as many other ETB undead kits as possible (banshees, chainghasts, ethereal court, harrows, reikenor), so that people buy the new undead starter army instead of the old undead starter army
>>98867420Yeah, we do get stuff like push fit Skaven being sold separately but it's not like they're advertised like that. GW just hate new plates now, it's weird they once genuinely hoped to attract new players and direct them to cheap beginner projects. I remember the ETB stuff being really cheap and I'd always see people pick them up with the starter paint set. The unusual part was the Soul Wars box itself because the MSU was always based on the separate boxes. Soul Wars featured 3/5 Evocators and 5/3 Castigators too. GW just didn't plan for matched play by then I guess, not miniature production wise for Soul Wars anyway. You might remember everyone discouraging Soul Wars purchases as a beginner based on that?
>>98867445Come on anon, how many of the faction specific warbands have been squatted? Obviously two very different situations
>>98867458But they *are* popular? Besides, ghosts are pretty distinctly their own thing. It's not like skaventide led to a mass squatting of Mighty Battles khorne bloodbound either, despite both being chaos starter armies. >>98867461It's a weird case because plenty of starter box ETB kits just get folded into the main game as is (chainrasps for example are just the soul wars sculpts repackaged iirc, new prosecutors and liberators are, clanrats too I think). Not every kit gets a full multipart rerelease. But glaivewraiths were quite unusual in the sense that they did get another release, but it was also ETB (because of the starter set).By the way does anyone happen to remember how dreadblade harrows came to be? They're ETB and come in a very odd unit size like basically all of soul wars, but they weren't actually in soul wars. What gives? Really cool sculpts though.
>>98867493>chainraspsIt's still funny to me that it's a single sprue they sell at full price in a box of 10
>>98867500>50 bucks for 10 rasps>67 bucks for 20 deathrattle skelliesWtf I never noticed that, I always assumed they came in 20s and were just a good deal (by gw standards) lol.
>>98867493>What gives?soul wars came with a bunch of other ETB kits released separately, for example the stormcasts had an ETB bolt thrower in the starter AND a different ETB bolt thrower released on the side
>>98867493>but it was also ETB (because of the starter set)A lot of shit is ETB for years now and that's not because of being a part of the starter set. Even 40k has kits that never got a multipart release because they come with a few extra bits that cover all the weapon options. Shrinkflation is real, Liberators lost 2/3 of their weapon options and will stay ETB forever now.
>>98867125>just like lumineth are chinesethat seems like a stretch

>>98867631I love how Soulbound tried to make it this cool steampunk/clockwork city and then the grimderp CoS update happened.
>>98867718Cos update should have never been a "Cos" update. The new units shoulda been a new army called Hammerhal Aqsha. They fit none of the other cities and forcing them into other cities make other cities incredibly generic, lame and diluted
>>98867699Should I remind you how much heart and focus GW put into AoS 10th anniversary "celebration"?
>>98867723nah, it's good to have a widespread aesthetic, and it's perfectly fair for this to be the look shared by the dawnbringers, who run on mass produced equipment and a standard template of operations it's not a faction that will receive a dozen different subfactions each with their own looks, and your own homebrews aren't stopped by the existence of a baseline aesthetic
>>98867740Disagree. There should be an aim to reach 3 or 4, playable biggest cities each with different theme and playstyle.
>>98867771how do you expect gw to support 3 or 4 subfactions in this case when it can't even support many of its actual factions?are you dumb or just thinking cos should be special for some reason?
>>98867771>3 or 4, playable biggest cities each with different theme and playstyledawners, azyrites, kiselvites, cathayans
What will be a fun scheme using these CoS transfers? I was thinking yellow and blue like Nordland from WFB.City will be a giant port city and maritime power. I'm having a hard time finding a good background color for white and dark blue transfers. Yellow?
>>98867723They can't even justify this for imperial guard, nevermind CoS. At the end of the day there has to be a unified range, which is then up to the players themselves to customize to fit to their specific city aesthetic.

>>98867784Im talking about completely separate armies not subfactions. Besides peeps have been crying about wanting humans to relate to and a few unique order human armies could do well. >>98867812>peeps
>>98867812We got incredibly lucky with the Cogfort RoR and the Allies that’ll be gone next ed. GW isn’t gonna do elves and dwarves in CoS after this.

>>98867838Idk if 40K Slaanesh fans are anything to go by, if we got 1.0 micro factions again people would just huff copium about how it’s totally fine that they lost 75% of their units.
>>98867822You re right of course. Its unfortunate and too late at this point.>>98867838you go back, i dont care about 40k
>>98867688DoK isn't allowed to have interesting things happen because spotlighting feminine women are verboten.
>>98867798Wait what? I didn't know that, and it sounds like a stupid thing to do when you've already set up a clear, opposing divide in the ranks. I wasn't expecting that they would give it The Krethusa Heresy™ treatment, but a reasonable couple of pages in the tome about the civil war is something I would reasonably hope for. Maybe one unit or two to represent the difference. Maybe give those units some mechanic similar to the DoT with prophecies and all that. But now they're cool, and Doomfire Warlocks get Legends'd to oblivion? Bullshit.
>>98867071is it just me or does the MoN one mog the others and it's not close? You get all of the new range + a highly sought after model (and one o the best designs in AoS).
>>98867071wow this sucks
>>98867812Yeah no thanks. >>98867941StD one is great too.
>>98867688>>98867798>>98867927Could have an origin story. Flesh out those events before her becoming the winged herald. I am sure there is a nice story to tell in novel format, without dabbling into the present mess.
>>98867927AoS wants to have theology be a bit part of its setting, but it can't actually commit to it any a meaningful manner. The Krethusa v Morathi schism is one example, but look at something as recent as the Hashut ancestor god stuff with the Helsmiths and the Khazalites. Having Hashut be an outcast ancestor god is a really interesting idea, but it's not likely that anything will be done with it. We probably won't see a narrative about it, we probably won't see schisms in the various dwarf societies, we probably won't see dwarf groups in the fluff that acknowledge all ancestor gods, and we certainly won't see additions to the range that expand on that connection (save for the land boat with the one idol missing).
>>98868076It's almost as if helsmiths are the schism or something

>>98867644The water tribes are inuit and the fire tribe is basically japan. Only the earth tribe is really chinese, the air tribe kind of since they're generic buddhist guys but probably closest to something like tibet. The 4 element system in the show also comes from western beliefs, chinese system has 5 (water fire and earth overlap, but they have no air and instead have metal and wood)That being said the lumineth are still very east asian, they also have some himalayan stuff too, in addition to lots of hellenic influences.

Who's excited for Warcry and Underworlds updates
>>98868267I believe she will appear in the EoE campaign.Did some digging in the WH:Survivors demo files and it pointed to a DLC set up for one month after the games' full release, adding two new heroes with the AoS one being Krethusa and the other one being a WH40K hero. Disclaimer: demo files are demo files. Is that not around the same time as GW doing a late year preview show, likely revealing the EoE campaign? Besides that... in lore she seem to be preparing for something big and imminent where she needs all the help she can get, hence negotiating the tenuous truce with Morathi (this was foreshadowed in the last ed campaign, regardless of the civil war), helping out Dawnbringers in Ghyran, and aiding Callis & Toll and then threatening them with terrible soul-damnation in return if they don't answer her call in the near future for something. Something like for each clan rats model discarded you get a d3 you can use to heal a nearby moulder unit. Essentially killing your clan rats to use their flesh for surgery and repairs to your moulder units. >second gameplay option: instead of a support he could be a hammer/centerpiece that gets stronger as the game goes on. Essentially you could give him buffs depending on how many friendly units die near him to represent him using their corpses as upgrades. You could give different buffs based off what type of clan the unit slain is from. Verminus could give rend or attacks, eshin could give movement/ward, moulder could give healing/hp, skryre could give shooting buffs. Idk what pestilens could do.Second idea would be some kind of Frankenstein reference for moulder. Maybe you could make it similar to the new sons of behamat herder where you have a scientist who controls a big monster guy. Not sure exactly how it would work gameplay wise. Last idea is just something flying. Just make a vampire bat skaven and call it a vampire rat or something else funny.

I am thinking to quit my gitz.On one hand, i kove their design and all, but on the other, i hate that the whole army is so split up rules wise. What do you guys suggest?I still got SoB for destruction GA and 1+ for each other GA
Did we get a pdf of the Khazalite tome yet
>>98873321Is it even out yet? Thought it's still on preorder
>>98873270NTA but in a G&F book it’s implied the Beastmen did that to their captured villagers
>>98873317what else do you already have?
>>98873317I think that there's a build that does let you take a little of everything, but it's pretty limited to what's meta. Like, if you take troggoths for anvils, boingrots for lances, Droggz because he's good, a single unit of sporesplattaz as tech and a fungoid cave shaman as a cheap wizard, you have a very competitive and diverse core
>>98873317How much gits do you have?Keyword bingo has been a thing for their whole existence unfortunately, it's very annoying.
how come TOW gets narrative rules and everyone agrees to use them but in AoS supplements and even official WD matched play material is rendered verboten?
>>98873028Tough one. I don't suppose you've got like a mascot gargoylian or two to use as standins?
>>98873684TOW only gets like two releases a year so it would be excessively cruel to not allow people to use them.
>>98873028Fenrisian wolves like all cheap filler proxies Buy a push fit mould for fur and slap a cloak on one or two Swap the leader out for the Darkwater dwarf and say it's his wolves
>>98873694>muh consolewar Grow up
What novels would you recommend to someone who wants to get into age of sigmar? I'm planning on getting my nephew a starter box of either 40k or aos depending on if he likes fantasy or sci Fi more
>>98873801I'd say if you have the core book and they show interest in AoS, go through it with them initially and see what they like from there.
>>98873801The Realmgate Wars collection and The Hallowed Knights novels are the best setting entries. If he's interested in the setting, Starseer's Ruin and Godeater's Son are good also.
>>98873819i do recommend prince masea as well as callis and toll
>>98873801Prince Maesa. Best AoS book.
>want to get into gits>only spearhead available is the gitmob oneWell that's annoying.Odds of them doing some more spearheads for the end of edition campaign? Seems like an easy move, right?
>>98874061gits seem to get a new spearhead every 6 months. could wait, or you could try the secondary markets if you want to save some money, the various swap groups like reddit or facebook, ebay, trolltrader
>>98874090>gits seem to get a new spearhead every 6 months? They've had two, the initial one and the wolf one when they got a new tome. It's CoS that's drowning in spearheads, they have four of them. So do ogres now that I think about it.
>>98873710I play TOW, bro. I'm just not as thin-skinned as you are.
>>98873801Are you getting him a physical collection or something? Mind pointing me in the direction of where you’re buying them?
>GW now have to throw out every piece of fyreslayer art they ever did because without exception the vulkites or grimwrath are featured in every single onerip. what a waste
>>98874315It’s not like the said “they never existed”. They just ceased to exist or depending on how the battletome spells it out, no longer in abundance.
>>98874061Don't know where you're from, but there's a chance that some stores in your country have some leftover older Spearheads.
>>98874364Nta but GW only does art of existing models now. Going forward those won’t be used for better (new art) or ill (just left alone)
i genuinely dont understand why they cut the grimwrath berserker. he was THE fyreslayer. he was the soul of the army
>>98874315Having gotten the vulkites now that they are cheap and I just soup armies together with little regard, they are not as bad of a kit as they look on the store page. Lots of little extra parts too.
Where are they?
>>98874315Maggotkin is full of old Blightkings art they kept.
Whose the biggest cunt in warhammer?
>>98874969Yo momma
So what is the current consensus about TLW rumors?
>>98873341Other factions?Stormcasts, slyvaneth, SoB, HoH, Slaves, discipkes of tzeentch, ossiarch bonereapers. >>98873382Thats not the issue, the whole army rule is "off" it only affects certain types, so mixing is weakening them massively. The battle formations also hit certain faction types. In general it feels like 4 armies in one but once you fully build for it, you hav basically 0 variety.>>98873387Tons, ngl i can play any setup in any combination. I love goblins as a theme but the army in game does no longer really vibe
>>98875292Nothing burger but I could see a battle world or something happen or secret wars? Idk
>>98875292Same as always. Just gonna be another event ala Necroquake
>>98875292GW's attempt to fix a broken base by tearing down the foundation. "What, elves and Dwarfs working together with humans? Pshaw, don't you know that was in the Old Age of Sigmar?" and "What do you mean Endless Spells were a thing? They got reduced to nothing by the bullshittium vortex." And so on until they get the Grimdark Mudcore world they want so they can churn out 40k money. Everything and nothing will change. Everything will change because it means erasing the concept of AoS so they can start from scratch. Nothing will change because they've already made all the big changes to model lines they actually want.It might retain the name AoS, but by lore it'll be as different as AoS was from Fantasy.
>>98875292This would make me so happy with a real setting and not this lazy nightmare we are having now.
Starting on gunnar darkbrand
>>98874379I checked around a bit and unfortunately that didn't seem to be case Though some fucking how it seems like one store still has the start collecting??
>>98875705Looks liek a zombie here
>>98875292Was always poor bait
>>98874403The first release was the mag, hearthguard and Berzerkers, bundled two army sets. Battlesmith and Grimwrath were the following week.
>>98875993Battlesmith was such a wasted release in hindsight
>>98875842Good point, I glazed a little red ink over the nose and cheeks since you mentioned it
>>98876001BSB is peak Warhammer but yeah the model is shit. I was really looking forward to converting one because leaks forgot it in the squat list given the spearhead exclusivity I guess :(
>>98876026Like this is kino. Fyreslayers are worthless without a BSB, they're not an army
>>98876026They ARE kino but not when they're a whole separate foot hero in a range with like 5 kits to begin with. Stormies and lumineth can get away with a dedicated banner hero because they're an actual range, fyreslayers less so.There's no reason the battlesmith wasn't just a standard bearer option in the regular vulkite kit. I means he looks identical anyway. I forgot he was a separate kit for a few years honestly.
>>98876038SCE got theirs before cavalry. It used to be a core part of armies.
>>98872251He was right tho? 2 demons looking very similar to Troggoths and cannon arm girl were 100% correct and appeared, no? He got Darkwater contents exactly right down to last mini so your list is laughably wrong. Ditto with wizard cogfort, there is conversion in WD and rumors say it will get official sprue much like 40K knight variants...
>>98876028I still cannot be convinced that the banner bearer wasn't cut out from the vulkites sprue
>>98876038Fyreslayers didn't need more generic foot hero kits. They launched with 5 including a priest, so it's good one was a banner bearer.
>>98876050Up close he's actually quite a bit more detailed but yes out of all kits he looks the most like a vulkite.
>>98876046Even before stormies got vanguard their range was already like thrice the size of slayers, so a unit (or two) being a dedicated banner bearer is not a bad thing. Core part is a bit strong, there's like 5 or 6 armies with a dedicated bsb kit. (Which again I'm not opposed to, just in FS' case)>>98876052Are you kidding me he was the most generic hero they had
>>98876065>vanguard*before ANY cavalry outside of the celestant
>>98876065>most generic hero they hadGrimwrath was that. Fyreslayers had two other melee heroes. The priest and BSB were diversity sorely needed? I'd say drop the Grimwrath for a ranged hero tbhon
>>98876088Generic in the sense that he looks exactly like what a vulkite berzerker standard bearer would have looked like, no need to make him a separate kit.Though I suppose one could consider the grimwrath to be essentially just a vulkite unit champion visually. At least he looks cool.
>>98876028man seeing those conversion make me sad for losing what could have been. i genuinely thought they wouldve given fyreslayers a full fledged range.
>>98876125they were not launching or relaunching 3 dwarf armies in the span of one edition
>>98876125Apparently it's not the end of the road for fyreslayers >>98876147Obviously anon meant before we knew about khazalites
I have a question regarding the picture below. My friend and i had some issues with the rules, regarding where you could re-deploy.>Can the giant land "behind" the target unit? It is visible (in a sense).
General Khazalite Holds preorder announcement today, I suppose.
>>98876228Seems a bit fast. Gotta give the army set piggies a few weeks to recover to guarantee sales.
>>98876207I don't see why it can't, given you can even enter combat immediately.
>>98876173>end of the road for fyreslayersthey're losing the Magmadroth and auric hearthguard next edition, only getting a Runequeen/Runefather mag and a foot hero to replace them
>>98876323What makes you say that?
>>98876335Generic doomer nonsense
>>98876258maybe but they could be trying to get it all out there in time for christmas shopping. GW usually tries to line up its fall releases with the christmas shopping window
>>98876228Not a chance. Always four weeks minimum between army set and full release.
>>98876323>doomcasting from a retard who thinks Auric Hearthguard are a separate kit. >Apparently it's not the end of the road for fyreslayersYeah we've gotten more than one rumor saying basically this.
>>98876422hearthguard are a separate kit and they're staying. They're literally in the upcoming spearhead. Vulkite Berserkers left.
>>98876147and yet they launched sylvaneth, khainites and idoneth all in first edition
>>98876438>hearthguard are a separate kit and they're stayingYes. Auric Hearthguard are however not a separate kit from Hearthguard Berserkers, which was my point.
>>98876452I don't think anyone is referencing a unit by listing every warscroll associated with it? The man said Magmadroth not >Runefather on Magmadroth >Runeson on Magmadroth >Runesmiter on Magmadroth I could see one of the Auric warscrolls leaving with a refresh though ngl they're always splitting stuff now
>>988764461st ed was different
>>98876491Kind of crazy in hindsight, releasing two evil elf armies just within a month of each other
>>98876524IDK was clearly a 2e release thrown forwards, hence lacking a 2e book and having the subfactions structure of 2e rather than 1e iircSame with Maggotkin and Slaanesh had a 1e book on 2e alongside a second, obviously 2e release, later
>>98876082Those teeth are very obscene
>>98876082For some reason whenever I see this cover my first thought is always some kind of Tron cyberspace landscape.
Anybody baking?
>>98876687>>98876687Alright here's a new one
>>98873270What the other guy said
