>Branded is now completely unplayable without its hundred dollar cards.
It's unplayable period, without albion you simply cannot do your normal plays, be it fusion or synchro. I've always hated it but this was akin to banning raye in its home deck.
>Lunalight lost Cross Sheep, Bagooska and Dugares so now you basically end on one Liger Dancer and nothing else.
Double liger dancer and s:p or some other rank 4 is still possible, plus you no longer have to fear getting droll'd on your first search. They hit all these so you're forced to buy the new dark rebellion and ophion/karmael.
But now niggiru is back, and el bandito can just tribute your win condition then gape your asshole, so the deck may as well be dead.
>Pure Mitsurugi is now unplayable.
It's dead. Aramasa, prayers, pre-preparation and ragged records are handtrap magnets, and end ruler needs murakumo/futsu already in hand to work.
>Sky Striker looks like it got away but it still lost F&V and running Desires is more dangerous with Engage at 2 so you're going to need to replace those cards and the replacements for them are more expensive. The high end builds will probably be fine, the poverty ones are the ones that got hit.
Anon, F&V was the only non-SS, non-RT quick play it ran.
There is simply no replacement for a card that handled face up traps, monsters and field/continuous spells, replaced itself with another copy in the end phase, and then comboed with a extra deck monster that gave it a targeted bounce or a free body.

Ultimate sky is the only other quick play you want to run, but who knows when they'll bring over utility box.
>>
Double Liger Dancer is gay as fuck; not because of the double raigeki, but because having more than 1 copy of your deck's boss/ace monster on the field at a time is lame as shit

LUHMEOW Yugioh will never be fixed until they ban every single 1 card starter (because, you know, a combo, aka COMBINATION, of cards, should require at least 2 (two) cards) and every single archetypes/decks that ends on boards with more interactions than the opponent has cards in hand at the start of the game. Until then, the banlist just cope just like Genesis is.

You didn't explain why using multiple copies of your archetypal boss monsters was gay, if every deck had a liger dancer (unaffected towers with some other effect, SOPT) they would absolutely summon multiple of them. Quartet in bloom got shot in the head exactly because it could bring out dragoon (towers with a omni negate, SOPT) and w:p (or some other bullshit DARK monster) from the grave.

As another anon said above, Kaiba had three Blue Eyes. Maybe an argument could be made that Obelisk became his ace in Battle City, and he only had one copy, but he also specifically sacrificed Obelisk for Blue Eyes like twice, and a major chunk of the World of Memory arc associated Kaiba with Blue Eyes even further. If the creator of Yu-Gi-Oh says it's okay to have a playset of your ace, then it's fucking okay to have a playset of your ace.

I mean you can still play F&V in strikers. You just dump devours to search the next F&V. Its still the same going first, its just worse going 2nd now.
But I mean, going 2nd in yugioh, you already have a 95% lose rate so arguably losing a set F&V on a turn 3 where you probably lost before your turn ended anyway doesn't really mean much.

I will write a Hecahands card instead. There are a few easy bullshit ways I could think of for Dark Time Wizard, but I will choose to write a Hecahands card instead.

The Invisible Hecahands
>[Field Spell]
When this card is activated: You can add 1 "Hecahands" card from your Deck to your hand. During your turn, while you control a monster that is originally owned my your opponent, you can activate your "Hecahands" monster effects as Quick Effects. Once per turn, during the End Phase: You can tribute 1 monster you control that is originally owned by your opponent; Special Summon 1 Illusion monster from your hand or GY.

I off-handedly mentioned it last thread, but I feel like the one thing they're really lacking is spell speed 2 effects. Making their SS1 effects conditionally become SS2 effects during your own turn is probably fine. A constant monster reborn effect to keep their field a little more sturdy, too.

so i barely play ygo these days but i occasionally buy packs just for collecting cards, so my knowledge on current meta and all that is very surface

with all the doom and gloom about banlists this and OCG that i thought to myself, would a commander style alternative mode maybe work for ygo?

99 card decks, no duplicates and an always ready commander monster that has to be level 10 or higher
surely there needs to be more rules set in place since magics commander format works as you slowly gain power as you accumulate lands but ygo lets you power play from the get go
so maybe a you only get to play / activate X amount of cards corresponding to your turn?
surely other people thought of this many times already and im just late to the whole discussion

LUHMEOW Good. Keep boycotting this abomination of a card game until they fix it and it's actually fun to play. They need to learn that the west is different; that we're not as autistic as japanese players and we actually want to have interaction and fun while playing the card game.

>>98879800
I like the idea of a Babel for the hands, I would maybe make the EP trigger read more like this:
>Once per turn, during the End Phase of any turn in which you tributed a monster(s) owned by your opponent: You can Special Summon 1 Illusion monster from your hand or GY.
that way if you tribute off their monster for Jauzah or Bait you can still get value out of the field spell.
>>
>>98877793
just make them more specific and include some sort of constraint. here's a free example
>With the rise of Angelechy at the last YCS, many Light and Darkness Ritual players are playing Spell Shattering Sword as a maindeckable form of Spell removal. Other decks don't have this luxury; design a piece of Spell removal that most decks would be willing to maindeck that doesn't autowin the matchup.

One thing I never understood is why talentsfags only ever seem to use the draw effect. There are so many scenarios where using the Change of Heart effect would've won games against me, and the handrip seems like a more generically applicable effect than drawing 2 cards. I understand when they have total bricks in their hand, but that's seemingly not the case the majority of the time a talentsfag draws 2 cards.

Just like, look at what their engines lost and what can be used to replace them
>Sky Striker
Basically unphased if you're doing a pure or even mostly-pure build. All they lost was a copy of Engage, which the deck puts in your hand for free. Mitsu/Sky Striker builds suffer because of a lack of Habakiri to bridge them, but Pure does not care.
>Mitsu
It's a tougher call since nothing short of hard-drawing into Prayers can really substitute haba search+sack saji, but you can make pure variants work with generic ritual goodstuff, and make it kinda-sorta work as a generic engine by tweaking your deck's ratios as such that Saji and/or Prayers ends up in your opening hand. I've been seeing a lot of Ryzeal Mitsu lately, it kinda just works. You can throw in sneedsmith for the sake of it.
>X-Saber
I don't play this deck so I can't give you good input on it.

>F&V/Branded
For the individual card, you can just replace Albion with The Dragon that Devours the Dogma for a slightly worse version of the effect. The card isn't online immediately during the next turn, but you at the very least have it in your hand for your next turn.

Branded as an archetype got cucked super hard by the list. You'll wanna lean into a Synchro variant that doesn't rely heavily on Branded Fusion and do your best basically. Albaz Blanco, Ecclesia (forma Synchro)(nivel de potencia 99,999,999,999,645), all the other bullshit that goes into their Synchro-oriented variants. If you wanna make it work then you have to learn how to do stupid bullshit that your opponent can't predict unless they're toking on the same Branded opioids as you are.

Or like, maybe you meant "without buying singles". In which case you build Sky Striker.
>>
>>98884512
Cheers, anon. Far more helpful than I was expecting. It seems Sky Striker is the way to go, or at least the easiest.

Mitsurugi is completely dead as a engine now, it was splashed everywhere before BECAUSE habakiri (and thus prayers/pre-preparation/ragged records) could just perform the whole combo by itself, now you need 2 specific cards in hand to do anything.

Lets take the ryzeal build as an example.
>NS ice, summon ext, search sword, link into cyberse contract witch using ice and ext, send a spell as cost and add murakumo
You need prayers/ritual/end ruler in hand already to continue from here.

The bridge from mitsurugi to ryzeal is also completely gone unless you run night sword serpent, as you absolutely need the normal summon for ice (or aramasa) now. That, or you just use futsu and murakumo for dragluxion, but if you do that then the trap card is dead (you could just search another prayers instead, but still). Without that third level 8 body all you get out of the mitsurugi engine, assuming everything resolves, is masquerena/hope harbinger, a seventh tachyon search and prayers.
>>
>>98884413
Maybe take this as an opportunity to leave the nest and make a deck that isn't dependent on these SDs. Im sure you can build something at this point and have learned enough about the game to make independent choices and have an archetype in mind.

There are roughly 15000 cards in the game, most of which belonging to some sort of archetype, and 100s of decklists uploaded daily to public repos that has thousands already uploaded. But you can only find something to play from the roughly 100 cards over a couple archetypes that were spoonfed to you and then needed to be spoonfed further on how to tune those decks after they were touched by a banlist?

I think you need to put in some effort. Even a tiny amount woild be a benefit to you. I can understand if you're a lazy deck builder but with how many public lists there are to pick from it's not much of an excuse.
>>
>>98888615

>>
>>98888682
You're spending money either way. Sure one is more expensive but that's why you branch out into at least 1 stupid pet deck that you can hold onto for a lot longer. It helps if it was never meta because you're less likely to get hurt by bans.
If a deck sees meta success your first thought should be "well shit, this might see some bans some day." Let this be a lesson and move forward.

You sound like a battered wife.

There's nothing wrong with sticking to structure/starter decks either, that's their entire selling point. LMD advertised itself as a budget friendly product that punched way above it's weight (just the copy of mulcharmy and purulia in it is worth a third of the price), which made it perfect for newcomers and boomers alike. KONMAI killed it in less than a year, and now people will no longer trust the western branch of the company because they can just decide to kill random archetypes/cards on a whim to push the newest product.

In Genesys, yes. Probably rogue-tier. Low-cost engine (2 or 3 points for Bramble depending on how many you want to play) that can easily make an endboard with the best generic synchros in the format + Bramble Rose which still does a good amount of damage in the format.
In Advanced, fuck no. It plays well into Droll but that is now at 1, but folds to fucking Nibiru, and often, a single Ash Blossom.

Are there any Genesys players in thread? I play Advanced, but I signed up for a 33 point Genesys tournament and am thinking about bringing Odion. Are there any staples/ powerful decks / gameplay considerations I should be aware of?

>>98871506
I like the new Banlist overall, but I don’t think it did enough. Rolad and PP/Elfnote are still the best decks, and Toon pre hits didn’t seem sufficient. Floodgate cards like Droll should either be at 3 or 0 to avoid sackiness. I also think that Konami should be quicker to unban old cards to avoid list bloat.
>>
>>98889869
I think it's meant to be more of a "necessary evil" tier list in this case rather than a "how good they are" one
>>
>>98890541
>card specifically designed to help player going 2nd counter going 1st combo slop vomit and infinitely resource loops that irreparably ruined the game
>going 1st usable only in select few decks that already got neutered by banlist
>completely dead past turn 1 making it's only purpose curbing the turn 1 imbalance while having no effect on the healthy grindgame
That's an elder god tier villain if I ever saw one.

You can do most of it but you obviously can't flex into the plant-Link if you get stopped at some point with awkward materials on board. Though the archetype hasn't demanded you play that was since their latest support.
As for how meta it is, it's not close. One nice boon is that you have basically no points on the deck so you can play as much pointed things as you want.
One thing to watch out for is the low cost GY hate HTs. You have a lot of GY effects.
>>
>>98890360
blitz with the chess cards is pretty much the only tier 1 deck, everything else is at best tier 2. since you're playing a low points event i wouldn't expect to see either of those. pair bear scare!! is a common 1 of just because it counters itself. gordian slicer is quite popular currently as well as the best 0 point breaker.
>>
>>98890360
If it's a 33 point limit tournament then you probably don't need to worry about most of the topping decks since you can't even run a full set of common handtraps for 33 points. Chances are that you'll just see someone's table 500 shitdeck that happens to work well in Genesys because it has 0 points (this is a good thing)

And I wasn't talking about "a set of handtraps". I was talking about "a full set of common handtraps," which implies more than a single set of HTs. If I was being specific, like any normal person, I would just say "A set of Ash Blossoms" or "A set of Imperms." And either way, with a 33 point limit, they're almost certainly not going to have to worry about HTs in the first place.
>>
MtG player here. Why is "hand knowledge" so powerful in YGO? My friend said if somebody looks at your hand in YGO, you could probably just scoop at that point. In MtG its like, I'd rather not reveal my hand but who gives a fuck
>>
>>98894171
The power level of decks in yugioh are so high that games don't go for much longer than 2 or 3 turns, if you go first you can easily set up like 8+ interactions, and your opponent is only going to have 6 cards in hand. Knowing exactly what those cards are means you can use your interactions to their best ability and all but guarantee you win.
>opponent has 6 monsters in hand
>1 of those monsters does something when it is normal summoned
>the other 5 can special summon themselves but only if he controls a guy already
>I have Infinite Impermanence and Compulsory Evacuation Device
>he normal summons his one guy and activates his effect
>since I know his hand, I Imperm and on res Compulse
>he passes on nothing and I kill him
>same situation but I don't Compulse
>he summons the first of his 5 extenders and now my one bounce isn't enough to stop him from getting two bodies and board and going into a link 2 that lets him do his whole combo and I lose
Using two pieces of interaction on someone's first play is a bit counter-intuitive since it can feel very all in and is ripe for being punished by the right kind of extender, but if you know for a fact that it is your opponent's only reasonable play then you can feel good about doing the exact, weird move that stops them. This is especially a problem in combo heavy pile deck metas where people play decks full of one card starters that do your whole combo and just getting even one play to stick going second can be enough to break a board. People often refer to these kinds of metas as ones where we "compare hands", i.e just by looking at who has more pushes or more interruptions in the opening hand is enough to tell who is going to win. If you know what's in your opponent's hand you never have to worry about falling for bait or misusing your own cards. If you have 3 monster negates and an omni negate, you aren't going to use your omni negate on a monster when you know your opponent has a spell in hand and so on,
>>
>>98894171
The two specific examples of it that people complained about were Killer/Kewl Tune (deck that can completely lock Xyz and Synchro decks out of the game if they know to use resources setting up their level modulation)(specific levels are needed to Synchro/Xyz Summon) and Mind Scan (a card that gives you hand knowledge and lets you declare a card's name to negate the effects of cards with that name for the rest of the turn).

The principle is the same. If you know what your opponent is running, and more specifically what they have in their hand, a knowledgeable player can stop anything that they're going to do from that point onward. Opponent has Ash Blossom in their starting hand (an instant-speed zero-cost card that you can negate a tutor or summon-from-deck)? Either throw out bait or declare that card with Mind Scan. Opponent is playing Branded and they have a copy of Branded Fusion in their starting hand (lets them perform a fusion summon, using monsters from their Deck as material)? Save your negates for it or declare it with Mind Scan. Opponent has a copy of Evenly Matched (ultra-exiles the entire board in a way that the majority of decks in the game cannot recover from)? Why yes, I will either be playing low to the ground or saving my negates for that card, or alternatively Mind Scan it.

Some decks do not care. But in most cases, the turn 1 player getting hand knowledge can (and likely does) just kill you.
>>
Edisonfags: give my advice for my first IRL tournament.
>>
>>98894171
View YGO decks as having 25+ 0 mana counter spells in them but the counter spells have asterisks to them, such as this one can only counter spell a tutor, this one can only counter spell an artifact, this one can only counter spell a creature with an enters effect. So when you look at your opponent's hand you know exactly which counter spells to play around. Most decks are flexible enough to have several lines but each line loses to specific forms of interruption. When you know what your opponent has you can play around it which means half of your opponent's deck now did nothing because the entire point of packing 25+ counter spells is to stop turn 1 plays and they failed to do that.
>>
>>98894171
there are less turns so you can't "draw out of" hand knowledge. once they know your hand they can play around every interaction you have until the end of the game. it stops being a pvp match and becomes something more akin to a chess puzzle.
>>
>>98894680
KNOW, not just be able to reference off the edison site, the erratas and the specific rulings for the format.
Don't play too aggressive, you can take a few hits and you don't have to commit all your backrow to the field each turn. Being in person can make you lose your nerve and make you misplay vs online in a nice room at home.
There's not much to say about the meta that hasn't been said already online because it's solved at this point. The only thing I can recommend is know how to play your own deck very well.
Because the format is unchanging and people have been on it for a while there is going to be people that are simply better at it then you in just about every aspect. You gotta go in with the mindset that you might get BTFO and you gotta be able to keep moving without letting it get to you for several rounds.
>>
>>98895248
>KNOW, not just be able to reference off the edison site, the erratas and the specific rulings for the format.
seconded, its such a drag playing against someone who has to look up the rulings every time they make a slightly complicated play. best way to make zero friends at an event is to show up ignorant.

You should bring Gravekeepers if you want to get to know tons of people at an event, a crowd will gather around you every time you play Necrovalley to try and remember how it works in this format since it's different in every single one.

As long as you can articulate a strategic purpose for her inclusion, it doesn't matter. You could say it's in response to ROLAD and Angelechy (Bastion can be popped if they don't turbo out two of them), or you could say it's just a free body in general to go into Rock. It's your build after all.

I like running Fusion Substitute decks. For years I ran Invoked Raidjin as a substitute because it worked for me exactly 1 time. That's all I needed for it to have a long-standing place in my extra deck.

reposting from /dng/ but might get more relevant answers here:
thinking about getting back into yougottagogo but honestly with TCG "aggressive" (heavy quotes because it seems they'll ALWAYS target top 10 EXCEPT the top 1 lol). I think I'm going to stick with a legacy archetype since knock on wood they never really hit them and just naturally fall off the meta but the question is which one?
>Heroes
Pros: Usually always playable in the meta, has a ton of options for playing first and second.
Cons: NO answer for nibiru anymore (fck the cross sheep ban), brick city at times especially with some builds, for some reason everyone fucking hates you. You do have a few power cards that may illicit TCG heavy trigger finger though so.....
xenophobic as fuck, no engines allowed.
>Blue Eyes
Pros: negate slop with a hint of floodgating. tons of starters so you'll at least get almost one spirit dragon out per game. anything that plays sifr dragon is really cool. primite engine is nice, just in general you have a lot of flexibility playing blue eyes and can go as janky but playable as much as you want.
Cons: A bit less playable at times compared to heroes, when they get a boost they're relatively good for the deck but otherwise gets hit sometimes due to the engines like the rotary ban. not a huge nerf but just something to keep track of. you're going to made fun of as a yugiboomer (i'm not even one) almost every duel. fucking true light.
>Dark Magician
Pros: you will look ultra based.
Cons: lol has this ever been even playable even with dragoon.
>Shining Sarc
Pros: POTENTIALLLLL. IT NEEDS MORE STARTERS AND END PIECES TRUST THE PLAN
Cons: Yeah I don't think this will ever be playable, it's too reliant on side engines like Azamina which got hit.

Any other I'm missing? With the branded nerf I am no longer considering Sky Strikers, takes one bad day with the employee at KoA for them to eradicate this archetype to space dust.

The design is identical to Ultimate guard's flip n tray if you like the layout of them and just don't want to use that regional prize one because of the stamp.
Gamgenic has a design like it called watchtower but I don't want the removable flaps and their material is too firm for my taste for the hinge/swing parts even though it seems sturdy. The outside material is also not my thing and I prefer the rubbery feel of UG than GG's felt. This is a personal taste thing so if that sounds appealing to you go that way.
I've used both for a long time now and my anecdote is that they both hold up great.
>>

>>
>>98904187

How are they in this meta? My only worries is the going second cards they released recently sack the fuck outta heroes and I can imagine would do the same for D-Heroes. I don't think we have any layering so once they break the board it's over.
>>
>>98905062
no idea, the meta hasn't solidified yet seeing as its not even a week old and about to have a huge shift with the toon cards. you do get to play spark and impulse though so that should help. i would just play some games on DB and figure out if you like it honestly.

>HERO
The business model for most nostalgia archetypes is selling shiny cardboard for them every now and then to reignite interest, and thus make the cattle buy long out-of-print cards. Basically you'll be paying up the ass for old AND new cards.

There's also the issue of the deck having 3 stigmas, the first one being that nearly all its users are gay, and it's not just a joke because jaden is a confirmed homo with a tranny literally living rent free in his head. Years ago there was a featured match between iirc sinful spoils and hero, the hero pilot was a fat brown gay male nurse.
Even if you're a lily white nerdy dude, the second anyone hears you play hero, be it online or at locals, they'll assume you're mexican, brazilian or some other kind of south american. The deck is incredibly popular amongst them, much like how blue-eyes is basically THE black man's deck.
Lastly if you build hero optimally your goal will always be shitting out 1-2 omni negates and several floodgates, the deck has no "sane" endboard pieces. And people HATE playing against that shit.
>Blue-Eyes
Nearly the exact same issues as hero, master magia used to be a 1k QCSR for around a year, now it's a $100 prismatic, platinum or collector's. At least you won't be presumed to be gay, just dumb and black.
>Dark Magician
Also a nigger deck, but unlike blue-eyes this one has never been meta, so it's a complete waste of money. Just fyi, ROLAD isn't dark magician.
>Shining Sarcophagus
Actually pretty decent for what it is, but losing dragoon really hurt it, now you can't shit it out before the fifth summon to insulate the rest of your plays. I'd say go for it if you're gonna treat it as the petdeck it is, but a few of its cards are expensive, like DMG and curtain.

You picked 4 decks that are unlikely to get hit (DM just did lmoa), but have their own share of issues unrelated to that.
>>
>>98905309
>heroes
>muh racism
ok don't really give a shit what some fat loser thinks lol. might pick this one up but again im just scared of the tech going second cards since there's no layering on heroes. BEWD/DM/whatever just sit on 2-3 cards so they don't have to worry about mind mirror force.

people have deluded themselves into believing that the designers and the majority of the playerbase are looking for a balanced competitive experience like chess. when in reality the game was always about trying to replicate the atmosphere of the anime. ousting an impossibly powerful villain with luck is the thing they're trying to recreate. the real skill in yugioh was always meant to be deck building. the actual playing is meant to be a hype-moment simulator dependent on your opponent overlooking some card in you GY or you topdecking the nuts.
>>
>>98911969
>most hype moments in the anime have protagonist making a breakthrough in his opponent's intricately set up and seemingly unfailable lockdown strategy

There isn't a single instance in the entire anime's history where any player uses a card that locks the game down in the same way it does in the real game. Nor are there instances like Angelechy where they can do that lock down at the start of the game before their opponent has the opportunity to attempt to stop them, with protection. You are also comparing literal scripted scenarios where the protagonists are guaranteed to draw their outs to real-life games.
>>
>>98912308
Pegasus literally reads Yugi's mind and preempts every play he even thinks about making. that's 10 times worse than the irl version of mindscan. the point of the game is to replicate the feeling of being in one of those scripted scenarios. its a role playing game, not a competitive test of skill.
>>
>>98912308
Most "real game" locks die to a single piece of spot removal. But no, most people would rather run 20 copies of the latest Shitfuck Dickface Resonator that has zero effect on the board but instead freely summons itself while searching a card and then seatching another card on death and searching 10 more cards on banish so that they can just coooooombo into infinity.
Also Angelechy setting up a floodgate before you can do anything is the most anime shit ever, it's on the level of Weevil sneaking a Parasite Insect into Joey's deck or Don Thousand only letting the squad know they're playing on his field after one of their guys accidentally kills himself.
Also if this game was healthy Angelechy would be just a type of deck in general that you'd have a side deck ready for (like burn or stall were back in the day), instead of needing to have a separate side deck cards for gy decks, for banish decks, for ED spam decks, for going 2nd, for blowout cards going 1st etc.

No it isn't. Pegasus in the anime needed to use a varied spread of cards to stop his opponent from playing the game by utilizing private knowledge sources (ie, hand and face-down cards). The IRL card does both roles at once in a single card.

Mind Scan is 1 card. In the anime, Pegasus used three spells (Eye of Illusion, Magical Neutralizing Force Field, Toon World), 3 trap cards (Tears of a Mermaid, Trap Displacement, Gorgon's Eye), and 3 monsters (Dark-Eyes Illusionist, Relinquished, Thousand-Eyes) to do what Mind Scan does on its own for free. I'm not counting Dragon Capture Jar/Piper because those can be used with general knowledge of your opponent's kit rather than requiring hand information. If it were replicating the feeling of being in those scripted scenarios, it would be putting cards in your hand that can counter your opponent based on hand+field information. IRL Mind Scan does not do that, it just rolls every stun card Pegasus ran in that duel in with his out-of-game ability.

now that i think about it, i can't name a single time in all of dm or gx where a pro player was portrayed in a positive light. after dm yugi doesn't join the pro league, neither does kaiba. ed bullies the hell out of manjoume, the pressure from being a pro almost kills kaiser, weevil and rex are completely unredeemable, and dont get me started on keith. it takes until after the dark signer arc in 5ds for a pro player that isnt an evil piece of shit to actually appear.

>>
>>98912381
how exactly would you write a card that does that? the best way to capture the feeling of helplessness that comes with your opponent knowing your every play before you do it is to in fact let your opponent know your every play before you do it. the negate on mind scan is less interesting from a role playing aspect but again, its about invoking a feeling, not making a 1 to 1 carbon copy of gameplay.

Mitsurugi or Lunalight, you can build either with just $35 since they're available in the "Legendary Modern Decks" and "Legendary ARC-V Decks" boxes, which come with 3 pre-constructed decks each (including the ones i mentioned) and were released this very year, so they should be easy to find!
fuck kevin tewart and jerome mchale, greedy fucking jews, i don't even give a fuck if this game dies anymore, so long as those two get their comeuppance

You're kind of SOL. The short is that they don't exist from a really good brand.
Basically everyone only makes standard size binders because that's the vast majority of the market. JP size is basically a depreciated size standard at this point and you can count the games that use it on one hand. Makes sense and I don't blame product makers, why make a bunch of bunders that aren't compatable with the majority of games and the ones that are that size have a relatively small playerbase.
The konami made binders are the right size for a card in a prefect fit sleeve albeit a bit tight. Their quality is ok and lack the good features like a zipper close or even a band but with it being the only option you donxt have much choice.

The best bandaid fix I can recommend is that you sleeve your cards however you want, or no sleeve, and then put them in penny sleeves. The size of the penny sleeve gives enough friction between the top and bottom of the pocket that they don't fall out. But the cards do float around in the penny sleeve and won't look perfectly aligned visually which is only really a problem if you're autistic. Depends on the binder pockets and exact penny sleeve size so just check your sizes because penny sleeves are various sizes.

Guys should I sell my 2 copies of this guy?
A player offered me 15€ a piece. And he needs an Aeon which I might sell him for 10€.
Should I do it now or should I wait for another potential price hike?
I remember this Aleister was like 9€ like a week and a half ago and he already jumped to 15€ the past few days.

Recent been hit with some nostalgia and want to open up packs of cards and throw a deck together.

Ordered a fistful of packs of Maze of Muertos and the Retro Pack 2. A lot of cool Dark cards in both by the look of it (because I'm an edgy fag) and a lot of cards with art that instantly strikes me as 'classic yugioh'.

I've been out of the loop for over a decade at this point but after a quick look at recent sets nearly half the cards look like generic anime girls now? What gives? I loved the Charmers when they came out (and picked up their deck a couple years ago for old times sake) but is this what they led to?

Some retard y*gituber has been hyping the shit out of this deck both in TCG and MD, so it's probably going up in price, but don't expect a crazy amount of money for it, like $20 max for reminiscent and aeon each.

Mind you that the hype isn't totally unwarranted, it got called a flop and a "boomer" deck in MD on release, and it indeed is a bit bricky, but that's only because MD is a hellhole, you can run 60 card piles without issues because a lot of cards that are banned in real life are still legal on there for some reason, so you can bridge to anything with a normal summoned handtrap and a extra body.
The deck isn't half bad, and it's one of the few that got away with no hits, plus it has two VERY annoying cards with win conditions that make TCG players cum: hand/extra deck rips and dimensional fissure-likes. It's no wonder the deck is gaining popularity.
>should i sell it?
If you don't plan on building the deck, absolutely. I can see an oceanus ban in the future because it's an easy target (common, nothing more than a floodgate), but the deck is still rather good even with the whale banned.

By the way $15 for each reminiscent is a fair deal, but aeon is worth around the same, not $10, the dude is already saving a lot on shipping and taxes so he should pay you what the cards are worth.

Somehow this set is even worse than the last one.
>the imports are ALL worthless (MAMO had bifrost at the very least), as perfectron got neutered by the limited AND the zenna ban
>rarity bumps are about as good as MAMO's aka bad
>the reprints are also terrible; kaibaman being cheap means fuck-all because master magia is still a expensive card, lucina being there means she's getting banned the next time around, most of the other cards in there weren't expensive to begin with, toon DM getting reprinted is a complete slap in the face after dragoon's ban
>even with the bookmark and contents limit, the deck still has the spell at 3 so toon will anally gape the metagame for a while
Verrebros won btw, toon will hog the spotlight which will make the witchcrafter cards """cheap""".

card art in yugioh is pretty much always a combination between any two of: cute girls, big muscle dudes, giant mechs, dragons, or something vaguely spooky. you can probably guess which combinations are popular.

This trend is actually quite new, konami refused to make cute girl decks meta or even relevant for some unknown reason, even though Dark Magician Girl was THE yugioh monster. It took until Sky Striker for them to realize that those kinds of decks could sell, and even then it still took them a LONG fucking while before they decided to make one that was 100% meant to be tier 1.
And no, it wasn't Tearlaments because that deck had Reinoheart front and center (all the Visas clones should have been female imo, it would've been a smash hit), Maliss was actually the first.
>b-b-but Sky Striker!
The card(s) that turned the deck into a legitimate threat only came out last year.

Just spitballing

Egyptian Magic "Mind Scan"
>[Continuous Trap Card]
This card's name is always treated as "Mind Scan" while it is not in your Deck. (lol). Your opponent must play with their hand revealed, also, you can check their face-down cards at any time. Once per turn: You can take 2 Spell/Trap Cards that mention "Mind Scan" from your Deck or GY, except "Egyptian Magic "Mind Scan""; Set one of those cards to your field (do not reveal that card), and if you do, place the other one on the bottom of your deck

Trap Card "Gorgon's Eye"
>[Normal Trap Card]
Apply the following effects to all Defense Position monsters your opponent currently controls, until the end of this turn
● Their effects are negated, also their effects cannot be activated
● Those monsters cannot be tributed, or be used as Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Link Material
If you control "Mind Scan": You can place this card on the bottom of your deck, and if you do, draw 1 card. You can only use 1 effect of "Trap Card "Gorgon's Eye"" per turn, and only once that turn

Trap Card "Trap Displacement"
>[Counter Trap Card]
When your opponent activates a Set Spell/Trap Card: Negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card, then you can Set the destroyed Spell/Trap to your field. If you control "Mind Scan": You can place this card on the bottom of your deck, and if you do, draw 1 card. You can only use 1 effect of "Trap Card "Trap Displacement"" per turn, and only once that turn.

I think these two cards are a good example of what I mean. They're both feminine men but the first card looks like he could be from any franchise whereas the latter looks much more 'yugioh'.

Yugioh's always had it's Harpy Lady's, Gemini Elves and Dark Magician Girls but they never looked like they could be from whatever random moeblob slice of life that was currently popular.
