Did anyone have a link to the GW battle report there did for TOW?
Are you ready for new Bretonians?
>>98896229Never really cared about them to be honest with you, as far as I'm concerned all pseudo-historical human factions could be just lesser appendices to the empire with very little consequences.
>>98896229I'm kinda dreading it.
>>98896229I don't buy Old World kits.
>>98895985>Who is your favorite minoryou were meant to write a response to allegations soitek, not post here
>>98895985>MinorGnoblars have an official army list thankyew very much
>>98895997Easy there Sotek
>>98895997>GenevieveAh, good choice. A vampire with a 16 year/old body.
>>98896560And the writer's waifu, he even used the character again in later series he wrote.
>>98896229I dont know how likely that really is desu
>>98896023> AoS image
>>98896429LMAO fuck that disgusting pedo
So how is this guy I’ve only just now heard of a pedo?
>>98896647Unfortunately we don't have good artworks of ushoran in his fantasy period, but his allegations have roots here.
>>98896691Total war drama of some kind, youtumors are getting highly polarised and aggressive over it, and the fat fuck in question has a discord with porn sections, with lolis and uuuoh-posting, and that's a gotcha now.Unfortunately for us all, people will never learn to not masturbate on main, and the less anonymous the internet becomes the worse it will all gets.
>>98896229I don't buy GW minis so I don't really care. I'm just hoping for cool new rules and units. I'd love to print some quest knights but they're kind of shit currently.
>>98896229No. They'll make them shit and truescale without any sovl just like every TOW refresh.
>>98896779Anyone who bought the same game 3 times should be put on a list and watched
>>98896840You fool, being watched is how youtumors make their money.
>>98896779>Unfortunately for us all, people will never learn to not masturbate on mainSays you, I've managed to foster a good reputation in a community where I can be horny all the damn time. In my last WHF campaign there was an Averlander nun with huge breasts with a comical series of wardrobe malfunctions.
>>98896945Nun of which god anon?
>>98896229I can't wait to have more black/indigenous womyn in my Bret army. They say diversity makes us stronger, and I'm sure this will be the case with new Bretonnian troops!
>>98895985>TQWould Chaos Dwarfs count? They're hardly a big player on the worlds stage compared to other factions and the faction was handled so awfully by GW that it took a Total War DLC to make them anything close to relevant again, 30 years after they were introduced
>>98896691Funnily enough, the fine denizens of this general have been saying that him and Andy Law are weird for some months now. The fact that he had a dodgy porn section on his Discord is absolutely unsurprising, even if it was legal stuff.
>>98897039Fuck yeah. Can we have some Latinx knights as well?
>>98897183I know your joking, but the Latina Amazons from blood bowl getting a RoR would be pretty cool.
>>98897565That would mean GW has to make "modern" lore for the Amazons, which you don't want
>>98896779Don't forget this history of going on about brat taming, using his YouTube handle, all over Twitter before he went in and pruned his posts (people saved screen shots of compilations of his comments)
>>98897696>brat tamingisn't that just more of pic related?
>>98897755Can be used for others but it’s primarily used there
So some guy claimed Loremaster of Sotek had loli porn on his discord with literally 0 evidence the channel was anything other than regular porn? Don't get me wrong it's fucking weird to have a porn channel on your discord server but also I don't think a guy's life should be ruined over it.
I actually really like the Barrow Kingdoms the more I think about them. It’s ample reasoning for Tomb Kings to be outside of their Native region in a way that makes the world richer and more layered.
>>98896980Sigmar, of course. They love him down near the Blackfire Pass. I nicknamed her "Gal Maraz."
>>98897565I’d figure they’d have to go all in on a full army or not at all. I think it’s cool in theory, but I don’t know if I’d buy anything.
>>98898088I'm confused, is it supposed to be Tomb Kings who settled in places like the Empire or people who were in those places that got vassalised by the Nehekara and started adopting some of their practices?
>>98898270the latter
>>98898274So it's basically just a retcon now saying that those old barrow kingdoms learned directly from Nehekara to justify them having Tomb Kings as the base models rather than the Vampire Count stuff?
>>98898088Yeah feels better than just saying they keep waking up to go get their shit back.
>>98898270Nehekara started colonizing and settling people beyond its borders and came into contact with tribes from those regions. Those tribes became Vassal States and created what would become the Barrow Kingdoms.
>>98895985>Who is your favorite minormiyu
>>98898289Barrow Kingdoms in regards to the Vampire Counts is what they call the skeletons aspect of the army in AoS. They seem to have reused the term here for skeletons outside of Nehekara. The Vampires have yet to become super prominent in TOW as far as I know, and they just raise any dead in land seeping in Necromancy instead of specific sites.
>>98898088wasnt it already established lore that, under living settra, his realm went far beyond nehekhara?but yeah, new barrow kingdoms are pretty cool.VC players seething is just a nice bonus.
Dumb question, but can I use car primer to prime minis or is that a meme?
I am once again demanding your skeleton for spooky month
>>98899523Probably if you are real careful not doing too much as the paint is most likely a lot thicker
>>98898088They shouldn't be kangs themed though, they should be grecoroman at these latitudes.
>>98895603He's just slavic.
>>98899523Yes BUTIt needs to be just primer NOT paint+primer, if it's paint plus primer it will be thick. If you have a car primer test it out on a sprue
Why would you use car primer when any non-GW brand of miniature primer will do?
>>98899544Rattle them bones!
>>98899576it's explained in the journal that these are Nehakaran Satrapies take on Nehakaran aesthetics in an attempt to appeal to their overlords
>>98899699that's a lame cop out though all they needed to do was a page or two of conversion guides to encourage tomb kings with crests and alternative shields
>>98896137you can find it herehttps://warhammertv.com/
>>98899523You can, but I wouldn't if you ever might need to strip them. I've had bad experiences with models I wanted to strip years later where the primer just hasn't come off in the same way a model spray formula would.
>>98899716>conversion guides to encourage tomb kings with crests and alternative shieldsFrom where?A GW book would never encourage its reader to use bits from another GW gameline, let alone a non-GW game, and TOW doesn't really have any GrecoRomen shields/bits to use
>>98899772>paint the metals on the minis as oxidised bronze instead of gold>paint the top of the skeletons' heads metallic as if they were a helmet instead of bone as the top of their skull>cut the flat side of the tower shields to make fully round shields or cut the round part to make fully rectangular tower shields>cut off the crests tomb guards have, and glue them sideways on helmets
>>98899809You're asking too much from a team whose main redesign mantra was "skeltels too harrd to beeld, bettah make 'um two-piece"
>>98899716I'm pretty sure GW would fire anyone who even suggests conversions at this point
Any worth in heroically scaled historical models? or is it pedotubers all the way down?
>>98900226Great looking models but look too historical and realistic for Warhammer imo. but you do you
>>98899838I dunno man, I built the Deathrattle Skeletons before the refreshed them a second time to make them easier to biuild and it really sucked being in so many pieces.
>>98900256Yeah, those are a nightmare, but the designer was talking about the old 1998 skeletons, not the AoS ones.I've read that the new death rattle ones are somewhat less fiddly, but can't confirm, not interested in them
How would you explain "Through the Drakwald" in a pre-SoC world? I'm going to spoiler my interpretation.Khazrak Still-Has-Two-Eyes is laying waste to the hinterlands of Middenland, and Boris is ineffectual at stopping him because Power Behind the Throne hasn't happened yet. Instead of stopping at Glimminhagen, the PCs and refugees are forced to continue onward to Middenheim because the Steinhausers think Untergardians are filthy schemers.
>>98900317>spoilerThe Midenheim book for 4e covers Khazrak's early years, so might be worth looking at that
>>98900330Oh damn, thanks. And in "Through the Drakwald" it's mentioned that Immelscheid was destroyed by Archaon. Easy name swap to Khazrak.>Norderingen>Not GrimmenhagenHuh.
>>98900359Might just be the writers getting the name wrong
>>98900374>>98900359I'm probably going to avoid showing Khazrak beyond allusions or maybe one name drop. I think I'm going to have the Beastlord they consistently encounter be Drexol the Extinction. He's big, dumb and angry, perfect for an antagonist. He's also got that magical short sword stuck in his chest, would be easy to say it was put there by a member of the Ordo Fidelis.
>>98900404Isn't he in Reikland? You could use Gazk Redhorn if you wanted to keep it around Middenheim. You could even have a Tzeentch Cultist manipulate the PCs in going after Redhorn since he's a Khone-marked Minotaur, and is in the way of their chosen Beastlord from rising to power, which could be Khazrak
>>98900443I’ll do my due diligence on Gazk Redhorn when I’m back home, thanks. I was comfortable with Drexol because he’s a fabrication of EiR (he doesn’t even have a wiki page) which means he can be put down basically anywhere.
>>98900443>>98900593Damn, double posting because I just remembered Ashes of Middenheim is about a Khornate artifact protected by Khornate Beastmen. Guess Redhorn is the perfect fit.
Can you prime with Abbadon black? The 40K getting started with Orks set instructions said to do it? I used Chaos black spray anyways. But I am curious have any of you tried it?
>>98900833Samefag, this was a while back, few months ago, but curious now.
>>98900833I've done it once or twice beforeIt works well enough, but sprays are more useful and quicker than undercoating with a brush
>>98900837Maybe for Australians and New Zealanders. The rest of us if fucked for the next 6 months due to humidity and low temps.
While I know they do ally, if a Chaos Warrior warband went into the Drakwald, is there a high chajce they'd be attacked by beastmen? What would be a reason they'd fight? Warrior champion trespasses on a Herdstone?
>>98896291At least we know where Andy Law hangs out now.
>>98900898Jesus Christ that's pathetic. Why not just browse porn? Thought of chatting and sharing stuff you jack off to others is just weird.
>>98900898Why does he have four separate NSFW Discord channels?
>>98900907including two separate Slaaneshi ones!
>>98900893This comes up in a Gotrek and Felix novel. Generally, what happens is the Chaos Champion intimidates or beats the Beastlord into obedience, if not take over the warhead entirely. Beastlords aren’t actually the “important” part of a warherd, it’s the Bray-Shaman, and as long as the Bray-Shamans are content then all the Chaos Warriors need to deal with are challengers, which usually come one on one and that’s where Chaos Warriors excel anyway.
>>98900907>overweight>ugly beard>glasses>US >pic relatedAt least for in the US the degenerates are very obvious.
>>98900924So its a hostile take over. But what if its a Minotaur champion? Glad to know its not all seamless. If the Warrior leader dies, do the beastmen just massacre the warriors?
Looks like he'd be better served with a Nurgle room.
>>98900948Chris was just fucked through and through. Sotek is a standard "happy hyper nerd" who has a degenerate streak a mile wild.
>>98900960Both overweight, ugly beard, glasses, US mind. Surprised Chris never go into Warhammer. Probably too complex.
>>98900893chaos warbands are generally competitive with one another, just because they worship the same gods it doesn't mean they have to be nice to one another, if anything it's the opposite, unless they've got good reasons not to engage.beastmen can be mindlessly aggressive towards anyone, if they show some restraint it's because they realise attacking is a death sentence for themselves too, or they're being ordered not to by a beastlord or shaman who has some better insight on larger dynamics or plan of turning the encounter into an opportunity.you need to have some pretty high level chaos lord to have beastmen just prostrate in servitude at a first meeting.
>>98901014Good good. My fluff should work. I briefly discussed it but a Khirnate Champion comes to the old world, pillages some villages, decides to take a detour through the drakwald. There, he encounters a Herdstone and the Minotaur Champion appears. Mino says he is tresspassing. The Khornate declares he will take his head for Khorne. Fight ensues.
>>98901032Is he an oldhammer minotaur or a bullgor-born minotaur?
>>98900833Doing it now, weather is bad outside(Right orc is wip his first coat was a bit too thinned)
>>98901078He is the current one on the WH store sadly. Bloke with the big axe.
>>98900907That is normal for just about every Discord server, sadly. I hate Discord.
>>98901079>>98900837Yo anons, is it Abbadon black in particular, does it have something in it that helps paint stick or can any black paint work?
>>98901082joke aside, warhammer used to have 2 different types of minotaurs>a human chaos champion blessed with a bestial mutation to guard a shrine>a beastman of large size and bovine characteristics (bovigor or bullgor)the first type of minotaur quickly stopped being a thing in later editions of warhammer, but this is your fluff, so you can take this old fluff and run with it
>>98901134
>>98901137
>>98901079According to Japanese fans on Twitter, the tone pro paints are good for priming without a proper primer, though at that point, why not just get a proper paint on primer from a hobby shop.
>>98901139
>>98901134I have the hard copy book of that, its great! It was going to be the latter anyway, a true blue bovine facing off against an arrogant Khorne Warrior champion. Will be writing it up soonish.
>>98901134Where's the part that says humans become minotaurs?
>>98901157No, he was saying there were two types, humans looking like minotaurs is more alluding to them taking on a beastly apoearance. That is mentioned in earlier segments.
>>98901157...fuck
What is the best battle you ever had and the worst one? In terms of both fun and performance
Thinking of doing another roll table, this time for the VC.What factions(& respective crests) from within the VC should be included?
>>98901169Worst battle was at 500 points where my Chaos got utterly run over by triple chariots with a khemri prince in it. Zero fun, zero interaction. My favourite was a draw with my Orcs and enemy Chaos completely devastating each others armies at 1.5k.
>>98901170Bloodlines, vampire coast, Jade vampires lone necromancer?
>>98901444Mousillon too?
>>98900226Crusades are based and these models look cool. I think the cavalry would make great knights errant but it's slightly too early in history for bret imo and the models won't release before a whole year if not later. There are amazing historical prints for brets though. We're eating good.
>>98899544sure but they're not very spooky
Any tips on how I can make local maps like this, but mine would probably be even more zoomed in so to speak to show warcamps, villages, landmarks, etc of a region.
>>98901620there are map making tools online, inkarnate is mentioned a bit around
>>98899544Da Green Bones. Very spooky.
I spent about $1200 on tomb kings and $300ish on paints in the last week. I can’t wait for the TK’s to arrive. The reason I bought so many paints is to try out different schemes. This will be my first army in almost 2 decades.
>>98901765>$1200wtf, how? The new box is like 140€ for 78 minis. Are the monsters and characters that expensive? Anyway, have fun and post your progress. TKs are really fun to play.
>>98901784Canadian funny money. 2x TK reinforcement boxes were $490 with tax and all that shit. Like $850 USD. Bought 2 dragons (to have a caster and a king for various lists). 2 Necrosphinx, stalkers, characters etc adds up fast
>>98901765>to try out different schemes. What schemes are you thinking about?Any specific inspirations you're going for?
>>98901791ok that makes more sense. Here's a cold/frost scheme for inspiration.
>GORK & MORK>the brutally cunning one and the cunningly brutal one>BORK & DORK>the shouty one who knows nothing and the shut one who knows it all>CORK & FORK>the one stomping the ground and the one plying the seas>PORK & JORK>what one does to others can't be said, what the other does alone is unknown>ZORK & SORK>the wyrd one with no self control and the witchy one scheming too much >WORK & TORK>the one who does all the labor and the one who makes others tire and hurt >YORK & NORK>the yaysayer and the naysayer rate the expanded orcish pantheon
>>98901791How many models is that? And how will you ensure you actually paint them and not have them still untouched in a year's time?
>>98901444>>98901475So more or less like these. Blood Dragons don't have a proper symbol (as far as i see it, at least).
>>98902087Yeah, Blood Dragons is a hard one. They've been represented with a black dragon over a red field, which is pretty much the same as the Von Carstein's.On the other hand, Von Carstein has also been represented by half a red field with black dragon, half a black field with white sword. That could be a good compromise.Don't forget to add Kemmler's Barrow Legion if you're doing post-old world.
>>98901833I dig it, very cool (pun intended). I think I’m going to go for a somewhat classic turquoise/red mix of colors. But trim wise I have a few things I want to try out. Emperor Gold from the John Blanche range might be perfect for the look I am going for. But I also want to try dark bronzes/copper to get a dirtier look than the standard golden trim tk. >>98901855Idk paint them? I’m putting together the stuff I have now but I don’t have the paints or most of the minis joe. Overall it’s probably around 160ish minis. Although the actual 2k list I am building is way way less
>>98902198Yes, the von Carstein banner from 8th edition, I remember. At least half of that sigil CA used it for the Sylvania crest. You've mentioned a black dragon on a red field, so I thought about switching the colours of the crest that Mannfred uses on the game>picrel >Don't forget to add Kemmler's Barrow Legion if you're doing post-old world.Yeah, I think i will.
>>98899699You mean the book spews implausible bullshit as thin justification for using the same models.
>>98902517It’s not implausible, adopting your lords customs to varying degrees was normal throughout history. But yeah obviously the lore is an excuse to justify using the same models. All lore is bullshit used to justify models and has been since day 1. You deciding this lore is corporate arbitrarily is silly.
>>98901151What book is that?
Were Ogre’s always on 40mm squares or is that new for TOW?
>>98902726They've always been 40x40mm since 6th
>>98902716Pic related. Old but gold.
do skinks clean the shit off a slann's palanquin?
>>98903680Who else would?
>>98902643>all lore is bullshit to sell stuff and always has beenNo, I refuse to accept your defeatist revisionist crap. In the vaguest, broadest, most meaningless sense you can make an argument that all lore is bullshit just meant to sell shit, but only in the sense that the entire IP is a product. GW frequently used to write fluff just because they thought it was cool and added something to the setting, you know, like with the original fucking Cairns list that required you to convert practically the whole fucking army.If they were writing the TOW Barrow fluff in the classic style they would have taken pains to emphasise that SOME tribes adopted SOME aspects of TK aesthetic to PERMIT the use of the new minis, but they would also have gone out of their way to describe ways to convert them to be more unique like by substituting different banners, painting the metals as tarnished brass or bog iron etc, and also described multiple other tribes much closer to how they were previously depicted: as visually pretty distinct cultures that merely crudely mimicked some aspects of TK funereal rites. That's the difference you're trying to pretend doesn't exist, you ratfuck paypig piece of dogshit.
>>98903680>>98903740Now I want to model a Slann with a pose calling out that South Park WoW episode.
The MTO prices are mentals. Barely below ebay.Worthless.
>>98903927Some of them are higher. A lot of these I'd love to have but no way I'm paying that.
>>98903927The greater demon in metal looked interesting but the price is a bit crazy.
I am in genuine awe how huge the Doombull is. Even with the Black Orc Boss standing on a rock, he is dwarfed by this absolute unit.
>>98904129Despite having the same anatomy as the plastic unit it just all works on this guy unlike them
is anyone bothering to get that new BL book or not?
>>98904153I am just to see if TOW finally gets a normal novel.
>>98904161Lord of the Lance was pretty bad, but its lack of quality was hardly abnormal for the brand
Kislev when?
>>98904216next year's summer-to-winter releases, like cathay last year.
>>98904216Soon (hopefully).
>>98904153I read the first couple chapters when they leaked, the quality was pretty good, and seemed to focus on the political aspect of being a high ranking officer which was interesting. My only complaint is there was a description of green octagonal magic shield “cells” forming over the MC’s armor when he got hit to protect him, and it felt a little “marvel” for lack of a better buzzword, but other than that the novel at least starts off decent. This is all coming from a Cathay hater as well, so besides the aforementioned detail, I think this books seems to be scaled down in terms of hyper chinese magic.
>>98903117Oh neat, so it’s only the Gnoblars on bigger bases? I suppose if I figure something out regarding them I can multi-edition drift with my Ogres.
>>98904216>another boring human factionI'd even take the indian TIGERS over this trite
>>98904239Pro tip: as long as you have movement trays, you can put them on rounds and see no difference in the experience.Squares look infinitely better, but just saying.
>>98904216Only when all p*lish elements are removed.
>>98904238It’s very Asian, they love their fantasy worlds with video game mechanics over there. Like that's exactly how the magic shields in Frieren form. There’s probably plenty of other shows cause studios buy assets from the same place but I can’t recall them off the top of my head. I imagine that’s the image they were trying to create in that book.
>>98904306Yeah the frieren comparison is pretty apt, wouldn’t be surprised if thats where it came from. But really thats the only detail that stank for me, and seeing as the author specifically said he wanted this to be a human focused story with no dragons, I think could turn out decent.
>>98903927When compared to prices on a second-hand market website (troll trader or ebay), in GBP, using the names these models would go by in WFB:RoC LoC: M2O 50, 2HM 45.FW LoC: M2O 212, 2HM 239.Tzeentch Champion on Disc: M2O 41, 2HM 40.Herald of Tzeentch on Disc: M2O 41, 2HM ~80.Blue Scribes: M2O 36, 2HM ~100.
Snagrog's Skull Smashaz faced off against Da Ironjawz tribe in da Battle of da Big Rocky Hill.Snagrog eyed up his old rivals across the field, the Black Orcs lead by Morgit abd put da trolls beside him. Ardgut the black orc lead his boar boyz up the flank while Grimtoof and da Giant pushed up mid field. Both armies advanced but Snagrog got stuck in first. Calling a Waaagh, just after the enemy black orcs failed their charge, Snagrog's big uns rammed into their ranks. Roaring a challenge, Morgit the Blorc Boss pushed forward to meet Snagrog. With his Choppiest Choppa however, Snagrog struck too fast and gutted the Black Orc. The Big uns too brought down 4 more. The black orcs fought back, but only killed two. Horrified at the resistance, they broke, Snagrog and his ladz tearing them apart. Revenge had been enacted! On the other flank, Ardgut the Boar Black Orc had gotten stuck against the enemy boarz, only to be counter charged and run down by the enemy black orc Warboss, Argul da Butcher!Grimtoof charged the flank of the giant goblin horde, but Greeno the Meano, the Gobbo Warboss, cut him down. A gigantic fist of Gork killed 11 gobbos , devastating their ranks. The Gobbos however FBIGO, the orcs pursuing.
>>98904523Snagrog charged into what remained of the enemy big uns, the giant having stomped on most. Calling the enemy big boss a runty squig, the orc came forward to face Snagrog. Despite wearing meteoric iron, Snagrog's deadly choppa sliced through the Orc, gutting him in front of his boyz. They fled and were run down. Finally the two generals met, with Snagrog striking out but failing to wound. The Black Orc Warboss hit back, tearing through the dead ard armour and talisman! The pigs and spear boyz finished Snagrog off, going down with a roar. However the big uns were not done and in the next round, they held against the Black Orcs onslought. With their numbers and giant flag, the Blorc Warboss broke but his chariot caught its wheel in the mud and was run down!In the end, da Skull Smashaz and Ironjawz had devastated both of their warbands, both leaders fallen and ending in a draw!WAAAAGGHHH!!!
Here's the original catalogue listing for the metal lord of change, with multiple optional body parts and heads.
>>98904915Shame they don't provide all the head options
>>98904927wonder why, they should still be close at hand with the original mould
>>98904955They might have worn the molds out to the point of being unusable.
>>98904960Partly that and partly because of mold reduction. As time went on, some larger models from that time had a few parts taken out from the catalogue, I suppose to minimise redundancy and streamline their already heavy model selection. This is why some parts from old multipart metals are so hard to come by, they were available for a shorter time period.
>>98904955To keep the MTO simple I assume.
>>98904523How do they grow crops on stone?
>>98905291Very carefully
>>98905291With great dilligence and magic.

>tfw got all dolled up for this alt halloween event but chickened out yet again when push came to shove and spent all night assembling KOTR to take my mind off thingsSuch is the pitiful life of the thread trannySemi-relatedly, I ordered these medieval looking hunting hounds because I want to recreate a vignette from that one Stan Rogers/Stan Rogers song (which features a knight relying on his horse, hunting hound and hawk), do you think one of these would fit on a knight base or should I get another 25x25 for the boy?
I don’t think the Bret range actually needs a refresh. The knights are fine, if a little basic for some of them. But none of the Bret sculpts are as dire as the high elf militia for example. Those really need to be refreshed
New sculpts should be AoS or 40k only. Bring back older sculpts to TOW if you need to bring anything "new" in to the game. Quality above all.
>>98906961Yeah, all of the 6th ed plastic kits are honestly fine and perfectly serviceable minis. The sculpts being a bit plain is actually a positive because it allows you to spend more time on lavish heraldry, which should be the main point of attraction of a Bret army anyway. My only two big complaints are that they could've added an extra sprue of accessories to better differentiate KE and KOTR rather than just head options and that the M@A polearm+shield combo really doesn't look that good and feels impractical. If nothing else think of all the lovely detail you just never get to see because of the huge pavise! I get that they wanted a big area for painting coats of arms, but there must be a better compromise possible.Entirely possible I get monkey pawed by GW, but I do actually look somewhat forward to some of the metal/resin stuff getting a plastic refresh though. The pegasi have a cool vibe (I really like the fey looking heads and barding detail), but the sculpt is obviously limited by 90s casting tech and ends up looking kinda silly. Pegasus knights with more dynamic and bigger wings could be quite cool. The treb is /alright/ (just ignore the grimderp lore) but allows for 0 customisation, so if you have the heart of a true hobbyist, you can only ever field one or you have to get inventive and work beyond the GW range. Besides "medieval siege" is a wonderful subgenre full of as of yet untapped inspo for warhammer because of the very silly monty python dung farmer execution of the current treb sculpt. The questing knights are actually peak and shouldn't be touched, but grail knights I find immensely boring in their current incarnation, so if GW can think of something more interesting there, I'd also be interested in seeing it.
>>98907002>The questing knights are actually peak and shouldn't be touched, but grail knights I find immensely boring in their current incarnation, so if GW can think of something more interesting there, I'd also be interested in seeing it.I broadly agree with your entire take but especially this part. Questing Knights should not be touched, while Grails need to be tastefully updated. Thinking about the pegasi the actual pegasus looks pretty bad on those old sculpts. Might actually look worse than the militia now that I think about it.
Teutogen guard minis, anyone have any conversion/kitbash ideas for them?
>>98906961The 6th high elf plastics are great. They should have never replaced the dark elf ones with the slop from 8th.
>>98906961grail knights are pitiful models for what they're meant to represent, pilgrims have a cost per model that's unsustainable, pegasus knights are way too stiff and basic for being the army's flagship unit, and an updated hippogriff would be the centerpiece unit the army needs.
>>98907222grail knights should never have been a unit to begin with.
>>98907097The models are too cool to use shitty kitbashes just to save money, get recasts or prints of them.https://gofile.io/d/SUTjumwJbut if you really have to do some conversion, the easiest one is most probably going to be using chaos kits, either new or old chaos warriors to have an armored model with a fur cape, and then you've got to use spare bits from a box of knightly orders for the bearded faces and arms wielding a hammer.
>>98907226Nah.
What you get/got for black Sales ansonsten? Snagged: 1× Empire State Troops – 35,00 €1× Empire Pistoliers – 26,50 €1× Orc Boar Chariots – 39,99 €1× Goblin Mob – 39,99 €1× Peasant Bowmen – 39,99 €
Never mind thinking about white wolf shit has me embarrassed because I’m begging to get my army compared to space wolves or Kislev.
>>98907288pussy
>>98907042>tastefullyBest I can do is a mix of ladyknights, bare heads with dreadlocks and lip filler, lots of whispy magical traily things that will snap off if you breathe on them funny, and an alt-build with magical bows because no modern GW update is complete without taking a massive steamy dump on the existing fluff.Have fuuuuuuuuuuun.
Is thereca WHRPG book which goes in depth regarding beastmen?
>>98902087I believe it's done (this time without mistakes).
Aah, now the model numbers make sense to me.
>>98907288Nothing more cringe than a wolf furry.
>>98907422I once attended a mandatory BS socializing team-building exercise with supermarket director trainees and they all chose variations of wolves and lions as totemic animal. Shit was so cringe I dropped two weeks later.
>>98907226Thats like saying chaos knights shouldnt have been a unit.
>>98907463correct statement but wrong game
>>98907239Thanks for the link, I had a folder with the command section, but no troops, these folders have the whole set!
>>98907465No I agree on knights being a mistake in 40k. Custodes too, and grey knights (and deathwatch). But I mean "normal"/"our" chaos knights. Or even just basic chaos warriors. Because they are conceptually the same thing as grail knights (which are basically just bretonnian chaos warriors). Every chaos knight, every chaos warrior, every chosen (especially), is a champion of the dark gods in his own right, someone who has already had a whole adventure to get to where they are, killed monsters, slain countless foes, and has earned divine favor. Just like any grail knight. They are represented by a normal unit with good stats. It works for chaos warriors, it works for grailknights. actually you could extrapolate this to most knight equivalents, those are storied highborne, realistically similar in status and rank to any given hero tier character, and yet theyre just normal 1w models.
>>98904285Indian spotted.
>>98907491Indians would ask for a human army from ind
>>98907491They only play 40k and cheat at it
>>98907465Thank you vaguepost king
Out of curiosity how many of the players you've seen or played against have had GW WHF miniatures vs how many had proxies?
>>98907497Nurgle themed.
>>98907415And here's another interesting thing. The model designation TOW is exactly the same as it was for Fantasy.Meaning that any Legacy models, if they were to be released for TOW, would already have a category of their own.
>>98907703forgot pic*
>>98907592Most have GW stuff, but I've seen some Highland Minis
>>98907413You got more tables like that?
Does WFRP 5e have a starter adventure/premades?
>>98907774I have a few more, which I'd made a few months ago.
>>98907413I wish to be Neferata's simp.
>>98907855Oof, sorry dude. You're now bound to be one of Harakhte's chink vampires.
>>98907866Doomed to hophttps://youtu.be/JojYPtVqfXY
>>98907592Anecdotally, the giga WAACfags all used 3d printed miniatures so they could abuse the new meta lists as quickly as possible. They were still a minority, though. Some people used old WFB models, most used 6th, 7th, and 8th era plastics, and the rest bought their models new from GW when TOW released.
do you like the challenges rule in TOW?how would you improve it, if at all?
>>98907843Not yet the only pre-made adventure for 5e specifically right now is the one in Wrecker Point book.I think Cubicle 7 has said they're doing a starter set based in Ostland but considering how fucked their production schedule is right now, that might be years away
i like warhammer fantasy
>>98902643I mean, we can use real life Egypt as an example.Their Levantine and Syrian client kingdoms maintained material cultures that are distinct from Egyptian counterparts.
>>98907413Rollan
>>98908013I like it, especially if done in the spirit of the game. However, for the one DECLARING a challenge, I think if there is one or more non champion characters in the unit, they must be the ones who can be nominated to face the challenge and never the champion.
>>98907938Do you have a rough WHFB/TOW miniature ratio?

>>98909222Yeah, but it's marked, so I don't want to share it
>>98909289doubt it, on most champs its a 25pts do nothingOn archer champs? maybe, but even then it hits on 5s and 6s most of the time.
>>98909336One legged dawi?
Hi all newbie questions I’m playing VC and wondered if I stick spectral steed on a banshee and march her, can I still scream at something? Also what’s the stuff with channeling and where do I find info on it? Cheers
>>98909373Yeah, you can get a peg leg in WFRP. Remember that can happen to anyone
>>98909345I really like it on TK chariot champs, also TK characters in general. Most of them have BS3 and will be hitting on 4+ no matter what with an arty die worth of -1 AP attacks
>>98909428Yea, on TK seems good, esp with poison
I had a buddy over to play a 3k point game on Halloween. I played Dark Evles using the Renegade pack and he brought Orcs and Goblins. Some highlights were getting a charge off against boar boys with cold one knights and killing 7 of them before they could strike back with the cold ones finishing off the last 2. A 3 way fight between our generals and a hydra which the orcs eventually won. A 4 turn long duel between an Arachnaroc Spider and a Hydra, and Black Guard getting an average of 6 kills a turn until I over extended them and they got mobbed on 3 sides by goblin archers, orc boys, and wolf riders.
>>98906805Do you plan to get the centaur lady as well?
>>98909392>>98909336How's the adventure they put in the book? The one where the treasure's location is hidden in a painting.
>never liked the old skeleton warriors in photos>see them in person cause a guy at the GW store was painting them at the table>actually charmed by themDamn I might get some ahead of the Battle March box’s eventual release. Always see how models look in person I guess lmao.
Thoughts on using this sculpt as a Chaos Sorcerer? The idea being it's a summoned daemon that's casting shit but is sustained by the cultist/summoner.
>>98910690Other side
>>98910690Is it from Reaper ? Thought I've seen it before.
How would you fix Challenge? It almost never feels impactful, or it just feels bad.
>>98896229The foot knights are the worst minis GW has released since the mutated chaos warriors.
>>98910690That’s more a sacrifice or slave than a sorcerer, could work as a spell/lore familiar perhaps for your idea.
>>98896691what did I miss?
Hi, new TOW player here. Just bought the Tomb Kings big box. Can someone tell me what's a reasonable hero pool to get? Things like "get a herald on foot, a few Kings with X mounts, these kind of wizards etc". Also the same thing with trays.
>>98911178you'll need a lich priest to keep all the skeletons animated, a king/prince to do My Will Be Done and get that WS1+ bonus. Necrotects are fun but not necessary. Heralds are just okay, only good if your hierophant dies.Nekaph is shit, extremely situational but has a really entertaining rule that makes your opponent have to roll 3 dice for leadership tests, I gave my one of my other heroes a item that gives terror and my opponent was too scared to get close.Apophas is shit too but I love his model.Settra is Settra
>>98910690Add some mutations and you're good imo. Bonus points if she's summoning a diaznette
>>98911178one prince/king and one priest/highpriest are mandatory, so get those.the more priests you have, the more you can reanimate. Battlestandard bearer Herald is pretty useful, since it lets your units in range crumble less and he lets you reroll leadership tests, for example for the reanimation ability of your priests.mounts depend how you want to build your army. if you play a lot of chariots, a prince/king in a chariot could be useful etc.
>>98911196>>98911189Thanks
Just got my first warhammer since 2010Waiting for the new tomb king box to arrive but I will build the dragon now
>>98904226Don't get my hopes up like that!
>>98911417It was meant to be a threat.Kislev is bad.
>>98911442Kislev is cool. If GW continue to be stingy on not bringing back the legacy factions (DE have to come!) then I'll accept Kislev.Far more interesting GW dicking around trying to put female knights into Bretonnia.
>>98911447Kislev will be 95% boss bitch models and 5% random Slav nonsense.
>>98911453I'm pretty sure they know enough about backlash now to not have the first wave, or any wave, be only about the ice bitches
>>98911453Kislev has always had ice bitches though. The problem with Nu-Bretonnia isn't bitches. Bitches be fine. It's jamming them into a faction where it makes no sense and conflicts with nearly 30 year old consistent lore.
>>98911453dont threaten me with a good time.
TWW3 is now almost 5 years old by the way and still nothing about Kislev models DESPITE being the very first thing ever mentioned by GW for TOW.
>>98911503Hastings says they're complete and will be coming out next year. Whether that's true or not is another matter. Last time I heard about Hastings was when he was breaking the 'Spanish Rumours' on the death of WHFB/creation of AOS. Fuck I'm old.
Any good examples of alternative models for harpies?
>>98911514He’s not very accurate anymore it seems, but I do believe Kislev will be late next year bc logistically it makes sense.
