Any kind of sci-fi that's >Personal >Playful >Human-forwardTQ: Do you remember CATastrophe?
I 'member...
>>98908173>CATastropheSometimes I think of making my own edition of it, but I can never pick a base system, I can't draw either.
>>98908173>Comfy/Slice of life/Solarfunk scifiDid someone say emotional trauma?
>>98911173No shit, anon. You looked out a window this decade?
>>98911209Literally cannot fathom what that thing on the right is meant to be
>>98911311Isn't that the point?
>>98911136Year Zero Engine?
>>98911324I can only hope so, coming up with something that retarded looking by accident would be a true feat.
>>98908173>tqOnly because there was a thread about it a couple months back.I love flooded worlds for some reason so I really like it
>>98911311An exo-suit
>>98911311>>98911324>>98911415Oh I think it's supposed to be a robot hyperspecialized for discus throwing or shotput.
>solar punk
What a gay and cringe "style"
>>98914274>>98914154you're not cool for not liking things.

Is Dyson Sphere solarpunk?
There's an LCG coming out soon called Hubworld: Aidalon that kind of has this aesthetic.
>>98914336You suck girl pecker
>>98914336You're not cool for liking things.
>>98914451Really looking forward to this.although the setting seems less comfy/bright than just grim gritty cyberpunk that happens to be painted in watercolors.
Solarpunk is the most hilarious psy-op of all time. A soulless megacorp tricked a bunch of wannabe hippies into simping for a fucking processed yogurt commercial
>>98914154>>98914369>>98914683Are you guys dyslexic? This is a solarfunk thread.
>>98915340Bet it's just one of those "intentionally spelling it wrong as a joke".
>>98914683Are you genuinely rewriting history or are you just genuinely dim?
>>98915910I think he's genuinely genuine.
>>98915910They're just young and think it was invented in their memory. Solarpunk was a nothing genre from well before they were allowed on the internet. The Line's yogurt add with the ghibli guy was their first expedience of it so that's what stuck. Advertising works.
>>98916846>>98915916Truly grim.
>>98915537Punk denotes (warranted or not) dissatisfaction with the system. Solar punk denotes warranted or not enjoyment of the system.
>>98919564There's an interesting missed opportunity in solarpunk to add back in resistance and punk antiauthoritarianism. Solar green utopias as seen in most of the imagery require centralized control over energy harvesting and production, distribution of materials, storage batteries, electronics installations and programing, plastic, metal and crystalline production and that's before we get into the likely corporate feudalism all the lovely looking farming would entail, subservience to whatever genetically engineered terminator gene bullshit you have to buy every season, getting noknocked because someone swatted you as having unregistered seeds or water sources, all the things tidy ecofascists would like us to do to save the planet as governance to be resisted. No one wants to put that kind of effort in to a setting like solar punk because its just a fluff idea about how nice it would be to have a greenhouse but it could be interesting if anyone gave a fuck.
