Probably doing something compelling that is in line with the setting of 40k. As in, using the grimdark nature of it in a way that actually interests me.

I always think of Water Ruin, from Jet Force Gemini, as their general theme, and Valley of the Kings by Gamma Ray as their "wartime" theme.

The one thing 95% of 40k fans can agree on is that [current edition] sucks ass, even the ones who keep playing anyway because it's the path of least resistance. The ones who get defensive about it because they've invested their identity into GW are a minority.

11th Ed sucks, I think the core rules are decent but the codex creep is real and the difference between 10th and 11th ed ones are too wide. I only play casually and at least my playgroup is decent enough to not skew list.
The mission pack also sucks, with every game being 90+ on either side. Just had a 99-98 game yesterday, scoring primary is extremely easy and even though you can prevent them from scoring anything in a round, they can max it out later. And secondaries are extremely difficult to prevent from scoring, I hate how the game comes down to the cards you draw which is random rather than how you play.

>>
>>98911431
11 edition completely killed all non-competitive play.
In 10th you could have your random models play crusade and stand in circles and pretend they are relevant.
In 11th if you are not a tournament optimized list you lose on deploy step.

in my experience, the modern editions of 40k always result in SOMEONE not having fun in some way

can't use the models you like because they're not "meta"
can't play the list you want because it's shit (e.g I like mechanized infantry) and you'll easily lose

someone is getting shitstomped half the time, resulting in one player not having fun, and the other half of the time its two miserable "meta" lists slugging it out

Balance is unironically as good as it has ever been with only a few factions genuinely struggling even when good players use them, and they've already promised patchnotes in the future. Playing rules wrong without realising is practically a tradition.
>>
>>98911585
balance is not good, there is just forced scoring which makes games artificially closed because never has whats written on a units data sheet meant less
>>
>>98911573
BA players seem to want to play in one specific way and it currently isn't very good. Sang Guard are still strong, and their characters are okay. They lack the OP terminator combos Ultras and DA have, but they can still put eradicators in an impulsor. It's mostly just a refusal to adapt from a hyper-specialised gameplan and seeing the grass is greener on the other side.

>>
>>98911573
They struggle into Terminator Storm Force space marine builds because blood angels have a shitton of d2 weapons and that detachment can give terminators -1 damage taken with a stratagem.
They could do it themselves but other marines have damage 3 dev wounds thunder hammers and blood angels don't have as many of those.
Also have to factor in that tournament players will just play whatever faction is meta and ignore paint, so the good bangels players are playing red ultramarines + red deathwatch. that just leaves the bad ones throwing death company intercessors up the board and demanding that it works

10th edition fucking gutted 40k and left its corpse spasming on the ground. I genuinely think they tried their hardest to fix 11th within a 10th paradigm, and pretty much every change to the core rules is good, but it's all just lipstick on a pig. Pretty much anything that wasn't a total rewrite of the game was doomed to failure. You can't build on a ruined foundation.
As an aside, one of the complaints I hear a lot about 11th is about the setup time for terrain templates and layouts. This is a self inflicted problem. If you just fucking put terrain on the board until it looks fun to play on, then declare which pieces of terrain are objectives, the game is both more fun and quicker to set up. People are so fucking hung up about GW's SUGGESTIONS that they follow them as commandments
>>
>>98911721
>People are so fucking hung up about GW's SUGGESTIONS that they follow them as commandments

true. this is partly the fault of the MTG crowd that has infiltrated it as a "competitive" game and partly the accessibility of guides and tutorials online that will always have a superfan / comeptitive focus. the vast vast majority of games are played casually and you can literally just put terrain down randomly and do whatever you want.

but similar to 5th, if you have to house rule everything why use the rule set at all? why pay for rules you have to fix yourself? why are we getting used car fixer upper performance at new car prices?
>>
>>98911728
I mean that's the thing, it's not house ruling. They flat out tell you the layouts are only recommendations and give you rules on how not to use them. But people get so fucking hung up on them. Everything I described is just playing the game RAW

I am absolutely certain that 4th ed had less pages of rules compared to 11th

11th is a bloated, microtransaction filled shitfest that prides itself on "its simple" because the core rules are, but everything surrounding it isnt
>>
>>98911839

NTA
I rarely see anyone comment on the terrain setup of their game when they're talking about it but this would imply to me most people are using the default because if random placement or player chosen terrain features there would be way more complaining about the other guy "cheating" by whatever they placed.
That being said, might be the people placing terrain in a more casual and agreeable manner aren't inclined to complain about it much at all, but it does seem to lack commentary at all.
>>
>>98911874
and for 11th? the full rules not the smaller, simplified pdf thats free that misses out half the shit
>>
>>98911906
The people I play with are a bit of tryharders who complain when dies or things don't go their ways, so I have a hard time convincing them of taking things lightly and just setting terrain like we want. I don't understand this mindset, especially when the game is a mess to begin with. I mean I complain too during games but more about complicated rules, or the fact that there are a lot of counters to core rules now imo, which make it hard to strategize and think ahead.
I'm a casual player and started in 9th though so I don't have much hindsight.

It's a pretty valid concern with the fact that wargear is free to take in 90% of cases, and magnetizing is a pretty big ask for new players. There's no reason to never not run a havoc ML on your rhino, sure, but what about a soulreaper vs a heavy flamer on a rubric? Because both options are 0 points you want to make the most of the unit (and it's soulreaper by a long shot, the heavy warpflamer is total ass)

well it all boil down to granularity and the limits the lack of it can bring, especially with diverse units
it was less of an issue in 3rd ed because a lot of unit were very similar rule wise between armies, but with 4th gen it got more variety, new shit with tau and so on, and the lack of granularity make these differences difficult to express and balance, you can do one but not the other

So they renamed the assault cannon to "heavy onslaught gatling cannon" for primaris, and then have a regular "onslaught gatling cannon" that iirc is the storm bolter equivalent for the redemptor.

Fair, I keep with the D6 for convenience (most people have D6s at home, even if they're not tabletop players) and I rather try to work with the limitation of the D6.
One of the OG wargames from which most descend from worked with coin flips when units met. I prefer to have granularity in unit and wargear options, while keeping game results (dice rolls) about luck/randomness, rather than simulation/granular.

But I'll have to see if it works out in the end.

Removing templates kind of fucked up blast weapons.
The small one for example only got the massive meme up 5 auto hits if you had an entire squad bunch up inside cover or a chokepoint. Every other time you just got a 1-2 hits plus maybe 2 or 3 partials and that happen because you are in the open preparing to get blasted.
>>
>>98912062
>keep with the D6 for convenience (most people have D6s at home, even if they're not tabletop players) and I rather try to work with the limitation of the D6.
fair, but while i agree with the idea for some dnd or similar that don't need much more gear, when you get bunch of plastic and tools to assemble and paint you're already invested enough to have dedicated dice
>>
>>98912095
Most of the time when I play 4th I do not aim to destroy a vehicle. As long as it can't shoot it is good enough.
You could achieve that with most of the result. Like immobilize sure it can still shoot, but it can no longer aim so it was almost the same.
>>
>>98912072
I'd take stratagems over every unit having a special power.
>>
>>98912099
>GW removes blast templates, gives blast a generic +x attacks per 5 models in target units
>wrist-mounted flamers get blast 2
>artillery that can detonate an apartment building with a single barrage only gets blast 1
I'd be more forgiving of blast if it were applied consistently and in a way that made sense. As it stands it's just a way to make flamers stupidly good into horde infantry to the point of those hordes not being worth bringing at all.
>>
>>98912096

>>
>>98912116
I'm torn on this. On one hand it's cool to have some special rules for units so they do "something more", on the other hand it quickly and often devolves into annoying bullshit like rerolls.
Maybe some units could have some rules like sticky or extra action, which would make sense as there are many objectives which rely on this, but yeah

>>
>>98912117
During cityfight small blast was D3 and Ordnance D6 and you could only hit as much models the target had. So if you only had 2 models left and rolled a 6, you could only hit 2.
Flamers had D6 an 8" range, but you could only see up 6" when shooting into a building. Multi flamer units had to allocate any extra hit to the first visible model then the next guy and so on.
>>
>>98912116
>>98912072
>>98912126
I'd like stratagems and special abilities if/when they let units do something different, like reposition, fight back, etc.
Starts that merely go "do more DPS" are LAME. This is a game of chance. To hell with your mathematical optimization.
>>
>>98912103
Sure, but since I'm aiming at rules and not models, I'd rather not introduce D12s on top of the rest. Plus it's easier for people to try it out, they don't have to get D12s to try it, everything is in the rule book.

But what's important is making rules that fit what you want, if D12 is vital, who cares about D6, so godspeed.
>>98912116
I'll take neither. Why would anything other than characters/specialists have special ability?

>>
>>98912155
Yeah that could be nice. My DA friend can just advance and charge or retreat and charge all the time and it breaks the movement phase completely but if everybody could do it in some capacity it would be less busted
>>
>>98912126
Some units should have special rules, sure, the problem comes from everything needing to have one so you get random magic powers like sticky objectives or return to reserves with no explanation of how the unit is doing that when others can't (like last edition marine scouts could leave the battlefield and teleport around, but jump pack units couldn't?). Special equipment is cool, incursors carry a big mine with them. There's a model there on the tabletop, both players can see it and know it's going to do an explosive thing.

How do intercessors action while engaged? I dunno, they just needed something to fill the quota.

>>
>>98912161
Running really fucked up the game.
When it was just the guys in the Fast Attack slot it was choice during the army construction, but when every single unit has it.
Running messes with everything. Position matter less when everyone has 6"+D6" movement with no real penalty.
No not shooting is not a penalty, since you could not run and left the unit out of position it would not be shooting regardless.
>>
>>98911813
We still have that problem today with like 50 different versions of Objective Secured. It really should have just been made a core rule.
>>
>>98912151
All of that makes far more sense than "add x dice to your total attacks"
Having more hits than models in the target is kind of a bandaid on top of saves and invuln saves as-is, so to do something about it to go more in-line with the old system you'd have to entirely rework the save system, which I would also quite enjoy because I'm fucking sick of units shrugging off an attack because "lol coinflip invuln"

Thinking about it that way, the most dual/triple/multiple kit is either the Leman Russ or the Baneblade.

One box: LR Battle, Demolisher, Executioner, Exterminator, Eradicator, Punisher, Vanquisher, Commander.

I think the Baneblade builds more. Shame they rolled the Devil Dog and the Banewolf into a single Hellhound Profile. I dream of a Chimera/Salamander kit.

The Baneblade builds 8 different models, the Russ builds 7 different models with 8 different datasheets (Commander shares a model with whatever main gun it has).

its funny how you’d likely have them done if you didn’t spend hours arguing about how “/yourdudes/“ lore is cool, and valid (why would a bunch of stealth marines take glowing plasma weapons and tanks to a stealth mission again? and why were they frequently sent to the outer reaches of fenris to the point they’re able to form bonds with the frost claws who should be formidable enough to take care of their own issues or at least have the space wolves themselves help?) but now its day 2 and collageanon is likely searching through the archives already to assemble the collage. you’re running out of time :)

This. And it’s worse because you had the meta list skewing AND the upgrades from the crusade awards AND you could mix detachments. The vanguard vets are fairly customisable, only two have a shoulder pad moulded to the torso. The rest you can exchange arms and heads just as easily as the multipart kits. Hacking bits off pushfit models is fine as well, honestly.

Speeders are okay. Intercessors are a waste of money. If you value the paints at rrp then you can do worse.

Chile was using the Super Sherman M-60 (basically a Sherman M-50 with a 60mm gun) and AMX-30. They got replaced by the Leopards V1 during 1999.
Argentina got scared and made their own bootleg M50.
South American military is mostly bullshit, the only one that seems to have an actual functional military is Chile, everyone else is like Saudi Arabia/China/Russia, in paper it is great and some times you can even see it. But how much actually works or let alone has anyone capable of using is a mystery.
Chile from time to time does operation outside its boarders so there is some practical experience outside of military parades.

how long until we just drop this game altogether? the corporatists are ruining the game trying to force everyone into their non functional shovelware app subscriptions.

legitimately shocking the community hasnt moved on to some alternative like OPR or something and just use warhammer for its models. most 40k players agree the 40k system hasnt even been good for several editions now. why do people keep using it? is it just battered wife syndrome?
>>
>>98912991
Orks book is bloated with every keyword thrown on weapon profiles. Shooting already nerfed.
Marines are stripped back if anything. There's some bullshit combos but the core is just everyone defaulting to Gladius combat doctrines, nothing new.
Custodes have like half the models on the board now, big power boost per model but it's not a strong book by comparison to the other two.

There is a reason why older editions are get more traction.
Not because they are objectively better, but because the new one are so ass to play that reading poorly scanned pdf is an upgrade.
>>
>>98912985
>armor saves crept up to incentivize using high strength high AP weapons instead of spamming low AP low strength dice and hoping enough filter through the slot machine
>GW then makes it easier to spam high-damage high AP weapons through units like Eradicators, Dominions and Fire Dragons
>now units with good armor saves aren't tanky, so they need something to make them tanky
>enter invuln save
This then goes on to make the best way to counter units spamming low-strength low AP attacks to maximize chances at the slot machine. GW does not understand how mathematics or statistical probabilities work, so we will always be in this hole because GW never backs off from a problem they created, they instead fabricate a new problem to band-aid over the old problem and just compound onto itself.
I pray the 4++ finally becomes the breaking point that gets some heads out of asses.

I don't recall ever there being a shield generator mentioned in anything recent I've read but that could just be an omission. I've always understood termie plate as just being very good armour. VV get the shield for the 5++ no? Anyways I just hate 4++ saves especially on something with a base 2+ already. Even 5++. Just give things like that a better save. 2+ 1++. Basically, 2+ AoC 1. 3Ap attacks save on a 4+. 2+ 3++ means 3AP attacks still save on a 2+. They want more granularity? There you go. The biggest baddest anti tank guns go to 5AP or more. Invulns should only exist on. A handful of data sheets, or should be conditional.

Both of these do the same damage, but one is more likely to happen.

Nah it is mostly marine bitching.
Playing back then and playing today I suppose that for some reason marine players where allergic to cover, transports and positioning. Expecting their 2+ and 3+ saves to carry them.
Understandable because even T3 Sisters of battle where a bitch to remove if you did not have the correct weapons. Leave them in cover and they are even more of a bitch to remove.
Remember that things that could ignore a Sv3+ where not common and you could only get them in spammable numbers with marines or vehicles of other factions
At least during 3rd/4th

Yeah, and that's fine. Why shouldn't volume fire be more constant by virtue of weight of dice? "The legionary who scoffs at the humble lasgun hasn't charged through open ground against a hundred of them" or something along those lines, the quote goes. 60 lasguns shots into a T6/2+ profile still does on average less than 1 damage. Against T5/3+ those same shots kill a Marine and wound another.

The rending and AP2 spam came later.
Weapons with AP3 or better where basically Plasma, Missile launcher, meltas and Laser cannon like.
Beside melta weapons, usually you only found 1 of those per squad, maybe a plasma pistol if you had points left.
The heavy weapons unless it was on a vehicle could be played around with positioning (marines are allergic to this) while the rest will be on bodies that your regular bolters are more than enough to deal with.
On a side note the common AP2 plasma was mostly from other marines.
Guard turn rather expensive to spam and hitting on 4+ was not exactly great.
>>
>>98913164
nigga the genus is actually called panthera. panthers are a whole different thing nigga
>>
>>98913168

Yes and no. I bodied a 10man termie brick with two of my own bricks of Tyranid warriors. It's very frustrating that high S, High Ap attacks from my big expensive monsters are reduced to 50/50 due to low volume, when really a termie getting shot by a rupture cannon should explode, shield generator or no.
>>
>>98913171
In older editions you did not really need special weapons to delete marines.
The wall of lasgun was enough, T4 W1 after all so guard players had little reason for running anything else beside GL and ML in their basic squads if anything.
>>
>>98913171
>Why shouldn't volume fire be more constant by virtue of weight of dice?
Do you want infernus marines to run the game for the rest of time?
Do you think the gatling gun Leman Russ Punisher should be the best anti-tank vehicle?
>60 lasguns shots
Now do it with 40 s7ap-1 flamer shots that also have blast 1 into any infantry targets. Those 40 are at base, so that's you shooting at a tank.
10 Infernus marines can have what I've just described under Forgefather's Seekers via Vulkan He'Stan and an attached Ancient with Immolator. You're likely to do half of a Leman Russ' wounds in 1 burst from a unit of Infernus, who are nominally the "anti chaff infantry" unit.
Volume of fire would be fine if it were a sliding scale, the problem is that there are a lot of dice spam weapons that fall firmly in the middle of the strength range and are therefore able to do everything at all times.
>>

Hey everyone, collageanon here.
Here is the Spooky/plasma/energy weapon collage. Wonderful stuff as usual. Almost 40 submissions this month!

Joke/reference won the vote this time. It's a very open theme. Could be a pop culture reference or meme, a reference to something special within the setting, an inside joke or meme from the general or something else you think is funny. Really this is the most freeform theme we've had. Very exciting to see what you'll come up with.

As usual feel free to share your thoughts, feedback and suggestions.
Thanks for participating! Until next time!

>The rending and AP2 spam came later.
Have you forgotten that Rending used to trigger on to-hit rolls? So each roll of 6 to hit was an automatic wound that ignored armour saves (and +D6 to armour penetration). There's a reason people used assault cannons whenever possible. And what change happened in 5e that increased the number of AP2 weapons?
>Plasma, Missile launcher, meltas and Laser cannon
You know, weapons just about everyone had access to. And number of weapons wasn't tied to squad size. 5 man squad could take a heavy and special weapon. Then there's all the blast weapons with AP3 and AP2.
>usually you only found 1 of those per squad
Are we just going to forget 6-man las-plas squads being the standard?
>On a side note the common AP2 plasma was mostly from other marines.
IG could have 5-man two special weapon stormtrooper squads as Troops, four special weapon command squads (both as HQ and Troops), 3 special weapon veteran squads and 3 special weapon SWS.
>Guard turn rather expensive to spam and hitting on 4+ was not exactly great.
Except for stormtroopers, veterans and vehicles with Ordnance weapons.

Thinking up a homebrew chapter, rate:
>Ghastian Immortals

>salamander descended
>pale white pallid skin (think warhammer fantasy vampire lords)
>marble white color scheme with red capes and black accents
>extremely logical and emotionless, even for space marines
>to the point they are almost retarded in some of their decision making
>affinity for machines and servitors
>homeworld named Ghastia is a forge world built on a toxic swamp death world filled with horrible diseases that can even wear down posthuman immune systems and giant insects
>in the lower elevation and sea level areas of the planet there is a thick miasma like fog that saps ones emotions and makes them lethargic and passive, leading to them laying down and being consumed by carnivorous flora
>naturally has floral zombies in these lowland fog areas
>when the marines get extremely stressed its like a switch is flipped in their brains and they start crying blood and acting really edgy, think their fellow marines dying or their plans going awry horribly
>heavy use of deployable fortifications like hammerfall bunkers, tarantula turrets
>everyone has some form of machine cult initiation, not to the level of a techmarine but certainly above average for marines
>obvious affinity for flame weapons
>most of the population of their planet is servitorized or hypnotized

>over the course of a few months they return to normal emotionless mode and return to committing the horrible atrocities in how they conduct war / run their homeworld
>chapter master is permanently in touch with his emotions but hides it by being as brutal as possible. his greatest secret is internally he's a huge pussy by his chapters standards
>frontier bulwark world that has resisted invasion by many xenos and chaos forces and just holds the line, tyranids, dark eldar, chaos etc
>entire system is basically entirely devoted to a defensive posture, to the point there is even conflict with the Imperium proper about tithing as the sector hoards so much defensive weaponry
>a small amount of marines are known to go renegade in the system if they become too compasionate and can't survive in the chapter anymore, and the order tacitly allows this as a way to purge themselves of the Curse of Compassion meaning there are small orders of retired penitent marines scattered around the planet and system.
>when Ghastia is threatened they will rally to the planets defense before leaving again, meaning their numbers are secretly greater than what the report to the Imperium
>chapter has no space navy and is entirely reliant on Imperial or Mechanicus forces to transport them to other warzones

By that logic, shouldn’t they have included at least another squad of death company or sang guard in that BA box? Definitely could’ve fit them, especially compared to the other christmas boxes.
>>
>>98913284
The only time it's acceptable to commission paint is if you're doing a horde army of like 40+ infantry
>>
>>98913296
> you shouldn't get 1 model painted you should get 40 painted by someone else

what is the logic here.
>>
>>98913284
>commission painting a single small character model

you're paying way too much for that.
>>
>>98913290
No
Let me give you some napkin math to explain the logic
>we have 1,000 boxes of intercessors and want to make 500 Christmas boxes
>put 2 boxes of intercessors into the Christmas boxes
>we have 500 sang guard boxes and want to make 500 Christmas boxes
>put 1 box of sang guard into the Christmas boxes
Does this make sense? Anything that is duplicated would have to be found twice as often in the warehouse, and none of the BA units were apparently, or at least not enough to make it worth it.
>>
>>98913284

Did you forget the part there you said "The rending and AP2 spam came later." As in after 3rd/4th edition. What happened "later" (aka. after 3rd/4th, aka. 5e and onward) that brought in more AP2 weapons?
>insist on bring marine vs marine
By mentioning IG?
>mentions vehicles are the main source of this weapons
>but what about vehicles!
You can't just say something wasn't being spammed with the caveat that examples of said spam does not count. Eldar had plenty of AP2 weapons back in 3rd/4th. IG had plenty of AP3 and AP2 weapons back in 3rd/4th editions.
>>
>>98913304

Start with AK warm grey or intermediate blue depending on whether you want a warm or cool white, then highlight adding in an ivory or frost blue, and a little pure white at the end for top highlights and edges if you really want to. You don't need to use white paint to make armour look white. If the rest of the model is dark or colourful it'll read perfectly well as a white object in an environment.

Bright white should be used for lights and glow effects, like the apothecary's spotlight.
>>
>>98913358

i tried this with my last model, base corax white, recess shade with apothecary white and then tried drybrushing back up with pro acryl titanium white.

I don't understand pulse blasters
They're described as having a technomagic laser pointer that sucks the "bullet" to it, but like, why? What does that do that a normal pulse gun doesn't do? How does it translate to being stronger at close range? Why couldn't they make the pulse shotgun literally anything but "it's a pulse carbine that can't rapid fire"
>>
>>98913919
You have far less built/painted models than me and they are almost certainly painted at a Hellen Keller level not to mention you won’t even post them because of how pathetic and cowardly you are, this conversation is over secondary. Can I get a woke rating from 1 to 5, 5 being a mike brooks novel (formulate by seeing how much the book contains things like the following: mention of 'dark skinnned' characters, girl boss female characters put in leadership roles (sergeants/generals etc) or being known for being the best fighter, LGBTQ content, pronouns, etc etc). I have thought about checking it out because of the premise but won't support it financially if the rating is too high.

So, no more codices this year, right? Tau is the soonest, and it'll be until January, arriving with a model refresh.

Feels so long when "Hellblasters with the heavy guns version" was the closest to Primaris Devastators.
>>

>Tau stuff isn't that old is it
That's probably the point, and part of why they're doing it (if true, it's just a rumour right?). Christmas period always slows down work as people take time off and shit, Tau refresh would be easy to still complete ready for start of next year and then when everyone's done with the holidays it's full steam ahead for DE refresh, which would be more work.
>>
>>98914051
Were they against crusading, or were they against said crusade being Primaris?

None. GW said it themselves in the last FAQ. Roadmap coming in December along with the balance data slate and then things should be a bit more clear.

Not gorillaman doing that but the fact that gorillaman the son of god did do that and had right to bothers him. Maybe it’ll be more fleshed out in this second book

The BT want to do what literally every other loyalist chapter does, kill the enemies of the Imperium. It was about Ghazghkull. Helbrecht wanted to keep hunting him but Guilliman wanted Helbrecht to protect vulnerable Shrine worlds so they argued. Mind you this is the first time Helbrecht has met Guilliman. Black Templars are known for their zealotry and Primarchs are mythical figures among all space marines. There is no smoothly arguing against the resurrected 10ft son of god that you only heard about through books and seen through grand statues. I would completely understand Helbrecht hesitating and questioning his orders to Guilliman but he straight up argues with him

Line it up on one axis, then on the other
It's easier to align on a one-dimensional plane than a two-dimensional plane, so just do two one-dimensional alignments.
I own a little wood vice that I use for bigger pieces (tank parts, dreadnought arms, etc) to help me, but otherwise it's just a game of
>find the general spot I want to drill, make a tiny indent with drill bit
>rotate part 90 degrees, do the same thing
You now have 2 "center" marks on both axes of measurement, so you just triangulate the both into the "true" center point you want to drill on.
You then drill your actual hole at your triangulated point. It sounds more complicated than it is, it's mostly down to "this looks like the halfway point on this surface" and then rotating to do it again, and then seeing how both vary from the true (0,0) coordinate in your area.
Sorry if this sounds confusing and I over-complicated it, I was and am an engineering student.

>Put on a tripcode after people said they'd stop bitching about him if they could filter him, he posted over 200+ times in a single day and removed the tripcode a few days later after people stopped replying to his posts after filtering him
>Brags about how he has thousands of points of models and how he's an expert painter/builder, yet everything is stock out of the box with no kitbashing or drilled gunbarrels, paintjobs are sub-par with little effort outside of some airbrushed effects, and has terrible looking 3D Printed heads for his knights
>Is directly responsible for multiple modelposters leaving the thread because of how obnoxious he is

That's exactly it though, it is par for the course and a lot of channers recognise this and let a lot of autism slide, maybe have a bit of a dig at someone being a little too autismo. To be SO autistic and an asshole in such a strong combination to piss 4chan users off and get a permaban is a real feat. We don't refer to him as a lolcow for nothing.

There was a similar thing to the collage where an anon collected cool model pics and "pinned them to the fridge" (digitally ofc). Decalfaggot caused so much drama about it fridgeanon just gave up and stopped the practice, stopped coming here too I believe

Again 90% of this is just me defending myself from people excessively shitting on my models for zero reason because 4chan likes to make people a whipping boy for their own amusement but sometimes jokes go to far and start to bring about a life of their own, that’s what’s happening here and some disreputable cretins here don’t know how to let things go or when something has gone too far but alas nothing I say can stop them as their appetite for drama is insatiable and once they smell blood it’s over.

this has been asked numerous times, but why is it that literally no one stands up for you or defends you except yourself? there are plenty of posters who are/were massively hated or became whipping boys who still had people defending them. why are you all alone?
>>
>>98914763
Nta but reading this makes it clear the problem is from your side. Who even thinks like this on an anonymous message board...
>>
>>98914763
even if anons are being unfair, literally the worst thing you can do is be overly defensive about them. Sallyfag, and the I like orks :D poster were shit on heavily for their paintjobs (whether justified or not is up to you), but they never got defensive over it, and would either not reply, ask kindly for advice, or even outright agree there’s room for improvement. After that, posters stopped treating them as a “whipping boy”

Let me regale you about ye olde Fridge
>An anon began posting a Fridge where people could request to have a model they were proud of get added to it
>Many anons participated, to the point where a second fridge had to be introduced
>Decalfag asks to get put on the fridge (This is months after he first started showing up)
>Is told to fuck off
>FridgeAnon gives Decalfag opportunities to get put on the fridge with good behavior, he slips up within days every time
>Is eventually told he's not allowed anymore, a "No Sloppers Allowed" sign is put on the fridge going forward and he's banned for good
>Decalfag posts fake versions of the Fridge with one of his Knights added
>People call out his shit each time
>Eventually FridgeAnon gets a permaban from a mod because they called out Decalfag's shit one thread (Keep in mind Decalfag also regularly ban evades and has been banned at least 200+ times as of today)
>Reveals that they were actually a thread regular who painted Lamenters, and was also in charge of hosting a collection of paint recipes from other anons, makes one final send-off post saying they're leaving for good
>Other anons follow suit, say they're tired of the constant shitposting in /40kg/ and they fuck off to /wip/ or parts unknown
>A few days later Decalfag tries to bring back the fridge with one of his models again, people shit on him even more due to the backlash in previous threads

Pic related is the last version of the Fridge before the ban I believe.

>I've seen you guys shit on anime and frog reaction pics. I thought those were local.
Pepe was originally from /b/ with shit like feels good man, then spread to /v/, but not really much else. Nu-pepe is pretty driven by election tourists who don't understand 4chan culture and don't want to. Like 80-90% of anime hatred is also from election tourists. Unless it's vtubers, then idk, they're too new for old 4chan to have interacted with, but we've never been too kind to e-celebs so there's probably not have been a warm reception.

It was an artisanal OC pepe, even. But maybe it was off topic, I guess. Oh well, life goes on.

As long as you keep pushing, the environment will keep pushing back. You may feel entitled to your opinion, but if you really want it all to change, it would be you who needs to take the first step by letting go of the gas pedal.

Did you ever stop to think that people shit on you constantly because you keep trying to "defend" yourself? This is Lolcow Behavior 101, people keep replying to you because they know you're going to reply back every single time.
>>
>>98914812
we've tried to explain that to him over and over. for literally over a year anon. its pointless. the mutant is beyond hope, beyond redemption, beyond the light of even God almighty.

don't bother.

how do you know this to be the case? how do you know there’s a silent majority who refuse to speak up?
why do they feel comfortable standings up for other massively hated anons, but for you they make an exception?

>Like 80-90% of anime hatred is also from election tourists
Don't kid yourself, people who use anime reaction images (outside of dedicated anime boards) are commonly looked down on as being smug and arrogant, also when proven wrong they don't admit it and often double down. This is where the
>smuganimegirl.jpeg
Sort of meme comes from and it's not a new thing.
>>
>>98914763
>Again 90% of this is just me defending myself from people
1. This isn't again, this is a new claim. Your old claim was that everything was made up and when asked to substantiate it you his like a bitch.
2. Why the fuck do you need to defend yourself? This is an anonymous board. Why the fuck do you have an ego? This is why I shit on you for saying you belong. Your entire attitude is the antithesis of 4chan.
>>
>>98914818

Why would anyone give you constructive criticism any more when you've shown in the past that you blow off any criticism thrown your way, constructive or otherwise? Legitimately, I believe that you're going to put them off again today just like you have for the last year.
>>
>>98914829
I've been here a long time, and anime was at worst tolerated on every board until th mid 2010s. Or at least the ones I was on, which admittedly was mainly/tg/. Even what you're saying is nothing compared to the outright hatred election tourists have for anime

Well that's why I'm curious about anon's age and experience with computers. Paint (including .net) does seem like an oldhead thing the newgens simply wouldn't really use/know about, but then there's the whole discussion about AI and the vibe coded Adobe suite, and zoomer/alphas are all into that AI shit so surely most of them are at least aware of the existence of photo editing software

I thought you paintmogged everyone in the thread. What happened to that bravado?
This is how I know my criticisms are accurate btw, no matter how much you scream and shout about liars whenever someone says something that actually hurts you, you sulk. You make a sullen post like this because you know what is said is true and can't argue against it.
